The aesthetic of the resort reminded me of Cabo or even Ibiza, with a lot of rock beach’s and Helio, the beach club.

It was absolutely a wonderful vacation for us!

We can safely say this was the best holiday we’ve experienced.

Also special thanks to the duty manager, Braulio, who did his best to enjoy our holidays and made sure that we could leave in time when our taxi did not show up.

Just returned from a fabulous holiday at TRS Yucatan.

I have never been on such a beautiful, relaxing vacation!

We also would like to highly commend Martha at Helios who was friendly , accommodating , and looked after us throughout our entire holiday.

A daytrip to the maya ruins in Tulum, a snorkel adventure with sea turtles, a swim in a cenote followed with an authentic mexican dinner in a local restaurant of the beaten path, made our mini vacation complete.

Absolutely 100 percent best vacation I have ever experienced.

After two great trips to TRS Coral resort including our wedding back in February 2023 we decided to give TRS Yucatan a try on a long weekend, pre-holiday getaway and it did not disappoint!!!

She was just a ray of sunshine every time we went in there.

At the hotel reception you can book a free bus tour which takes you to a jewellery and tequila tasting venue and afterwards into Play Del Carmen where you can go to 5th ave or to the beach

We saw two sea turtles, some sting ray and a large variety of colourful marine life in and amongst the coral and sea grass.

(Ask for "forest of fruits") + Martha at the Helios breakfast is like a ray of sunshine!

We snorkeled in front of the scuba shack and saw schools of fish, 6 stingrays, and a HUGE (6-8 foot diameter body plus another 6 foot tail) ray of some kind!

The mini fridge was stocked with Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Water, juice, Del Sol, Tecate and Coors Light as well as peanuts and candy bars.

An exceptional culinary experience is La Mesa Del Chef orchestrated by Head Chef Gilberto Cobaruvias.

A huge thank you to Jorge at Helios- he was a ray of sunshine with our meals, and his customer service was exceptional.

Luiz at Tentaziane 'el es Ray' while 'mi esposo el es Ray langosta' thank luiz for such a wonderful evening and for never giving up on our Spanish lessons!

She is simply a ray of sunshine. Great service and so happy that it's contagious.)

We got to see quite a few turtles along with other sources including sting rays.

There were more daybeds, a jacuzzi in the center and tons of cool iguanas hanging out around catching some rays.

we snorkelled off the beach near the White Sands and saw a barracuda,and a few sting rays.

but better further down from TRS (to the left when looking out at the ocean) we saw sting ray, multiple fish, an octopus, we were hoping to see sea turtles but we ended up having to take a $55/person tour to Akumal Bay where we saw 3 turtles, a big eel, cool squid.

We have visited this area of Mexico before and stayed at the Thompson hotel that is right in the heart of Playa Del Carmen (and loved)

If you are looking to buy something as either a gift or a memory checkout George he can be found on the beach and believe me he is much cheaper than what is in playa del Carmen.

Tips:

Go to Playa Del Carmen using the collectivos directly outside the hotel.

Chic Cabaret:

Rated the number 1 restaurant in playa del carmen (out of 1164 on trip advisor) and the food is second to the performance.

Alex at the infinity pool kept bringing us drinks without us asking and he made sure we were enjoying our time.

The Infinity Pool and Saltwater Pool were amazing.

With the exception of waiting for towels at the pool(s), the exceptional staff and concierge service made up for it!

Throughout our stay, we moved around the various pools, some with live music and others that were more peaceful (the ‘quiet’ pools).

The lobbies, villas, restaurants, bars, garden and pool areas, the standard of cleanliness is excellent everywhere.

We loved the pools throughout the resort.

The 3 pools give you the possibility to change scenery and enjoy different places in the hotel.

We saw staff stop others coming to the pools that were not allowed.

Pool:
The setting around the infinity pool is beautiful and serene.

The pools were all clean and well-maintained,

Pool rooms didn’t offer the privacy we needed.

We spend the majority of time by the infinity pool, eating breakfast and lunch at Helios, where all the staff were fantastic and greeted us by name every morning, food and drink was of high standard with great cocktails and great service, even bringing us cocktails in the pool.

There are fish in the moat that you can feed from your balcony hot tub jacuzzi.

The infinity pool grill was a nice feature

The saltwater pool was our absolute favourite for swimming!

Next to our private pool, on the beach, along the winding pathway, in the pretty water feature.

Luckily, there was a nice couple that had a private company they booked outside of the hotel for airport transport that heard what was going on and offered us to get a ride with them if the company they were with allowed - the company did

We had private reformer Pilates classes with the resorts trainer, Elizabeth, every morning (which are included at no extra charge!).

There is a private TRS section with a bar and food and the ocean is amazing with such soft sand!

We loved sitting outside by the private pool and using the pool since we went during one of the hottest, humid months of the year there.

Our suite with a large private infinity pool was spectacular and allowed us to seclude ourselves and enjoy some time together each day.

It is surrounded by jungle and felt very private.

We used the jacuzzi a few times, it worked great, was quiet and felt private.

but if I went back in the summer I would get the private pool.

Wonderful breakfasts at Capricho every morning, followed by relaxations at the tidal pool or private TRS beach drinking exotic elixers recharged our batteries.

We also utilized our private pool which had lovely shade on the day we couldn’t find anything.

There is a private TRS beach area about a fifteen minute walk from the TRS main area.

but quite private, and was pleasant at the end of the day.

Whilst there we booked a private romantic dinner at the Ixmucane Grand Cenote which was so lovely.

I feel this one was north worth it than the romance buglalo that was a “upgrade” we were right next to the infinity pool and had a private pool to ourselves.

Very knowledgable, kept to a good schedule and readjusted the trip so we visited the cenote first so we could have a private swim!

It was a great experience to have the option to try both rooms

If you need to take a shower before your room is ready, they have a very clean little private shower space for men and women (see attached photo).

however they do smell damp and musty, as does the bedding.

As much as we tried to get rid of the smell, it persisted throughout our stay.

All of our clothes and room smell like mildew.

but smelled like mildew for our entire stay.

The smell was overpowering and our clothes were constantly wet.

The Room-
We stayed in block 69 it did have a musty smell about it, not sure what it is it did not seem to go either whilst we were there, our room had the jacuzzi on the balcony

As it is in most humid places, the pillows and sheets smelled moldy/sour.

The room had a terrible smell and we experienced a power outage twice!

The rooms with the jacuzzi do not have a damp (I use that word lightly no rooms has a bad smell) smell at all they are probably the better condition of the rooms especially top floor the room cleaning and turn down was always perfect .

Would I class it as a 5* hotel definitely not more like 3.5 at a push, room was musty and damp and really smelt, everything looked a bit tired, food was hit and miss, some restaurants were better than others, wine was awful unless you pay more for better wine.

Your basket will consist of stale bread and cold unseasoned steak slices.

This room had no issues with smells or allergy triggers,

Great experience would go agian ,but I wouldn't get the pool suite next time due to the fowl smell coming from the standing water by our room and the cart guys that pick you up if you weren't from their hotel like Colonial they wouldn't take anywhere I would have to wait for an TRS buggy.

The only downfall was a strong smell of drains in our room and the attitude of a male receptionist at Zentropia…we were hardly ever in the room so decided not to complain and for the receptionist…hmm let’s just assume he had a bad day.

People were smoking at the sun loungers and even in the pool despite there being a non smoking policy.

Also, some stains on the toilet and molds in shower room

butler this guy was a really welcoming showed how the  tv worked with app Room did smell damp but it was clean 
They advertise the wish list but it was something we never got which was disappointing, daily we had to ask for fridge to be topped up 
Overview the hotel it's nice but  felt there was alot of inconsistencies.

We were not expecting to be choking on cigarette smoke in a country where it is apparently illegal to smoke except in designated areas.

We were on honeymoon so it was about relaxing, last two days was slightly impacted  by next door smoking drugs on the balcony & partying all night.

Luckily, I had print outs of all my confirmation information and numbers because otherwise we would have been SOL.

The Spa is amazing and so are the pools and the beach.

Language barrier (expected based on non-English-speaking location/culture), inconsistent service quality and cleanliness of the spa were the downsides

butlers, reception, spa, bellboys) they were all magnificent.

This year  I needed a longer more intense massage and Victor did an amazing job for me at the spa.

We had massages at the spa and it was great.

The spa was nice, and we enjoyed massages and the hydrotherapy experience.

We also used the Spa where my wife had a massage and we both used the hydrotherapy circuit, this is a pleasant place to spend the afternoon to relax with a very chilled atmosphere

Spa and facilities were the state of the art.

We got appointments for two massage sessions which were very communicative and accommodating.

Zentopia, the resorts spa and gym were perfect and had everything we needed in terms of weights and cardio equipment.

Other
We enjoyed a couples massage, make sure you go early to enjoy the rest of the facilities and the juice bar.

Spa:  We adored the Zentropia Spa and pool.

The Zentropia spa was a very tranquil and relaxing experience from start to finish.

All three of us had massages at Zentropia, which where nice,

Friendly service from all the staff, from Uziel at check in, check out to the constant attention of our Butlers Antonio, Daniel and Miguel, our waiter Fernando at El Gaucho and rest of the wait staff, pool staff, spa staff, drivers, bartender's and housekeepers.

I was amazed by how many of the staff remembered me.

The entire staff is so kind and accommodating.

We’ve traveled all over the world and have never had a more considerate attentive and kind staff ready to help us in every way.

We had Victor as our server and he was so kind and happy.

The staff at TRS Yucatan were so friendly - whether it be the serving staff, housekeeping or maintenance - it didn’t matter who they were, when they walked by they always had a smile on their face and said hello.

Staff basically did everything they could to say yes to every request.

Susana, our concierge, was a delight and went over and above to help make our experience amazing - they did a special birthday room for my special day too!

This was our 4th trip to Mexico and first time at TRS Yucatan, it’s the best one we’ve stayed in - I would highly recommend this hotel if you appreciate attentive service

Service was very professional, quick and preview.

The staff in general is very friendly and helpful, waiters, cleaning staff etc.

but specifically enjoyed seeing some of the staff from prior trips.

but they were very pushy, so much so that we declined wine towards the end.

I went with my boyfriend for a little vacation before baby ( 3/4 month’s pregnant) 
The resort was absolutely beautiful.

Diamond Club:
I wanted to touch on this as before our holiday it was a little unclear what the differences were from a standard/ diamond club/ hideaway stay.

We also loved the gym, very well equipped - I got there 5 days out of 7 during the vacation - that has never happened before on vacation.

This was the best aquafit class Gabby is aswome, she have a lot of energy, and she dance great, she make a go job👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We will take all her classes, and enjoy de gym on this vacation, we going to dance zumba tomorrow..

Marco is an amazing trainer and I will be attending every class he is doing whilst I am on holidays.

My mom and I came to this hotel for a vacation, and got very lucky to have Eleazar as our guide when we got there.

Thanks x all the fitness staff ( Carlos, Marco , astrid y gaby x make me this vacations so incredible.

Enjoyed the fitness center, kick boxing class and aqua spinning class during our vacation.

At the start of the holiday it was fairly quiet so we felt we could actually relax and take our time to go to breakfast and then out to the pool and find somewhere to sit.

Can not fault this hotel, yes needed painted and repaired in small areas and they were doing all this in bits when we left, all staff were amazing and friendly from Jose at the DC pool and Alejandro ( i think was his name he went on vacation after 1st week)

Was a good price for 2 weeks and had a great holiday.

Special shout out to Yeni, Gorreti, all the bar staff near the splash pool & vibe team situated there and the best of all for me Pedro who worked in the buffet and then sports bar on an evening he really went above and beyond for us all holiday!!

We are just back from having a lovely holiday at the hotel and meet some lovely people and made friends with them.

The ppl who made it worth it was my family and meeting ppl on vacation.

A holiday is what you make it and we really enjoyed ours .

Our kids absolutely loved the nightlife, the place was hopping - even the parents got into it.

There was so much entertainment for my children,  for my fiance and I.

Also the guys at the swimming pool bar (can't remember the name, the swim up bar next to the kiddy pool) were fantastic!!

The entertainment girls were very friendly

Shows every single night for both kids and adults.

We saw baby sea turtles on the beach near the hotel which was absolutely magical, we had so much fun there and met lots of lovely people so it was a great trip,

my kids were scared, crying and as a mom, I was very powerless because I was feeling the same.

I would recommend this resort to anybody with adults & kids!

the resort staff  Leonardo were doing a great job making sure all baby turtles properly taking care of !

The hotel is massive, with four different sections, kids, main, diamond and hideaway.

And he was such an amazing wedding so we thought let’s bring him our kids !!!

My little boy loved it and learnt to swim under water which he couldn't do before this holiday.

We elected to have most of our food in the well stocked fresh buffet and the personal touch from particular waiter Moisis Morono stood out.My son loved him and could stop talking about him!

Hard worker and brilliant customer service, made us laugh, great personality and great with our son!

Can’t wait to go back with the kids as it is also super kid friendly.

I would like to thank Miguel, Rey and Salvador for their service in restaurants, made us laugh, and kept our glasses topped up, you were amazing.

It’s a great location in regards to the airport, Puerto Morelos, plata del Carmen and more.

The staff here are so polite and friendly, especially Rey,  excellent service, so attentive, absolute stars ⭐️ Can not fault the hotel at all

This ride was only 1/3 of the way to Playe Del Carmen,

-Ray from the Italian restaurant had great friendly service

- Pedro from the buffet restaurant & Italian Also gave us great service.

You can only travel two and from by their city run taxi tat rob at a rate of $40 for 2 or $80 for 5 each way to the city so $160 for my friends and I to get to a boat ride at the Marina, huge rip off!

We reserved a "taxi" to take us to the marina to take a ferry to Isla Mujeras, all arrange by concierge.

They include transportation too and from the marina which was convenient and the vans they used were very nice.

Small boat, small group, extremely experienced guide - we saw sting rays, a manta ray, a conch, starfish, barracuda, all sorts of fish and coral and even a sea turtle!

This is due to the incredible staff  Ray overall restaurant manager congratulations to his appointment.

A very important factor was The Operations Assistant Manager of Food and Beverages, his name is Raymundo (Ray) Renteria Elizondo who bent backwards to deal and help us with such a large group with many diverse needs.

As a comparison we've been to Hyatt Ziva Cancun, Dreams Playa Mujeres, Paradisus La Esmeralda, and Ventus at Marina el Cid.

I had a better time in previous trips at Riu Palace Riviera Maya, Riu Tequila, and even Paradisus Princesa Del Mar in Cuba.

We done the royalton fitness in the pool with Astrid she was great fun.

Done an amazing first time experience doing aqua fitness class with them in the pool felt so refeshed and alive afterwards defo recommended doing fitness classes!

Go straight to his pool bar and he'll guide you to anything and anywhere you need to go!

We often saw him by the pool in the day and he would ask us for any requests we had.

The attention we received while by the pools and seating areas was exceptional!

but in general to rest I highly recommend it, all the staff is very friendly; my waiter was samy escobar at the pool, always attentive and helpful; Thank you all!

The beach was nice except for one day it was very weedy and good luck getting a bed at the pool, they were spoken for at 7am.

The only thing that made my stay pleasant was Yeni, Uriel and Guillermo from the bar and pool area.

We ended up staying at the pools only, which was fine,

I paid extra thinking I would get the rooftop plunge pool.

During the day when you can jump in thr pool the heat and hunidity is great.

the swimming pools were very sandy and missing lots of tiles.

The service by the pool was exceptionally.

Amazing resort, had a blast by the pool with the vibe team especially Mahui, Marisol & Goretti!

We wanted to upgrade to diamond club paid 900 dollars for the pleasure only to be roomless for the day and to be told we only have lounge access and nothing else, when trying to talk to reception she did not want to hear it.

This added 5-10% to the cost of our vacation, and this was something we had never experienced at the Paradisus.
