The location is exceptional; the restaurant is very good and the staff is absolutely terrific.

This place is nothing short of a paradise, beautifully nestled in a serene location that offers breathtaking ocean views at every turn.

Overall a beautiful location, and generally the staff was very ftiendly,

Location and the pool are the only reasons to stay here until the fix the power issues.

If you made it this far into my review, here are some of the positives that we experienced:
- beautiful sunrise location, at the farthest corner on the east side of the pool, it is truly magnificent to watch the sunrise if you don't have a ocean side view.

The location, the accommodation, staff and experiences on site just make it absolute perfection for me!

but the location, view and the layout are great.

Lovely town - could compare it to to Santa Fe, NM 
We finished our day at Chileno  beach (15 min drive from Sirena Del Mar,located on the San Jose del Cabo) and loved this beach with its perfect sand, broad view of the ocean and much tamer surf - suitable for kids!

We are timeshare owners with Hyatt and have swapped it for this location.

It’s a smaller hotel, also serving as a timeshare location,

The location of the hotel is very scenic and super friendly and attentive staff.

The cool thing about this location is that it's set back quite a ways from the main road, so no traffic noise.

Sirena Del Mar is a beautiful resort located right on the Gulf of California just a few miles from Cabo San Lucas.

The location, the rooms, the amenities, and especially the staff are amazing!

The staff absolutely make the experience (on top of the location and infinity pools).

Located in a beautiful, quiet area, and with a friendly and accommodating staff, the units have everything you need, including a washer and dryer.

We felt safe from covid19 with staff all carefully wearing masks and social distance (not all the guests were as thoughtful) This is an excellent place for kids as my children and grandchildren had a lot of activities available with 2 pool tables, ping pong, fuss ball, air hockey table centrally located so they could go back and forth with ease from the pool.

The resort was beautifully located and the service was exceptional.

The restaurant is overpriced and no even tasty.

Paid over 1,000.00 for mold in the shower, bathtub and kitchen sink.

although Cabo is getting mre expensive each year.

There is only one restaurant at the resort and 2 bars, quality of food and drinks below average and expensive for what you are getting.

There is one restaurant on the property…great food and amazing service (a little pricey).

Restaurants there are over the top pricey and the food does not justify this.

For groceries to avoid the restaurants, there is a La Comer close by (5 USD for Uber each way).

but we had cab fare for nine people to and from Marina that got expensive.

Ubers come straight to the hotel and cost anywhere form $6 - $15 to go to downtown Cabos San Lucas.

though that would have paid me $150 out of the resort fee).

My husband and I are PAID OFF Welk Owners.

The restaurant charged over $5.00 for diet coke.

Originally thought we’d have to pay $135 USD per massage for an hour and a half massage

I saw a negative review "Avoid at al costs!!!".

Room quality is poor old, outdated, and dirty.The restaurant (only one available) at the property is expensive and serves horrible bland food.

On the same day we rented a car, you get 24 hours for the $56 through the concierge, we also wandered over to Santa Maria beach to do some snorkling in the morning.

We went to Chileno and Santa Maria beach instead which were amazing for snorkeling.

Chileno Beach and Santa Maria Beach are minutes away.

There is an additional $7 USD a day resort fee, which was well worth it as we used their beach chairs, beach umbrella, and pool towels every day to visit the surrounding beaches (Santa Maria Beach and Chileno Bay were our favourites).

Better snorkeling was at Santa Maria Beach, a 5 minute drive from the resort.

We saw todos santos, arches, 2 cabos, Pamilla beach, Cerritos beach, Santa maria beach and our favorite for snorkeling Chilleno beach!

The hot water faucet  in the second bathroom sink didn’t work at all.

The water pressure was my only real complaint, as it was virtually non existent the majority of our week long stay.

The only negative was low water pressure and the cloths dryer was out of order.

There was very little water pressure in our showers and the shower in the master bedroom didn't drain.

The only thing negative is that the water pressure in the shower was awful and the place definitely could use some updating.

We reported the water leak at 7:30 a.m., and were told Maggie started work at 9 a.m. By 9:05 a.m., she was in our unit, with 2 repair men, and 1 maid with a full cleanup cart.

The water pressure was also terrible, only able to run one fixture at a time just barely.

The bathroom faucet had NO water pressure until my handyman husband cleaned out all the gravel from the faucet.

There is virtually no hot water or water pressure.

On their website there is NO mention of only 1 elevator for the entire property.

We got stuck in the elevator for about 15 minutes.

Building A is the only one with an elevator.

I understand only Bldg A has an elevator.

We stayed in Building D which has no elevator, so it was a bit of a pain carrying strollers and children up and down the stairs several times a day.

We booked through Expedia and was given a unit in Block A ( which had an elevator ).

There five buildings, only one has elevator service, the others you walk the stairs.

Items such as ceiling fans, showers, elevator, excercise equipment, and electrical switches didn't work reliably or at all.

The units are fully equipped, clean, there is a  beautiful pool, live music in the pool bar and location is perfect.

Very convenient location and all amenities on-site.

The location was great, just 3 minutes to Medano beach and 5 minutes to the Marina.

Central located to Marina, town, and beach.

Was recently down in Cabo with friends and we always stay with Marina Sol Premier Properties because they have an office located in the lobby of the Resort and have staff available 7 days a week.

Great location, walking distance to everything we wanted to do.

but Marina Sol offered us a wonderful penthouse, a peaceful resort and a walkable location to beach, harbor, supermarkets, mall and restaurants.

Location is 2 blocks from Marina, easy access to whatever you need.

First of all, you can’t beat the location.

If we ever have an issue and we call the office, (which is located inside of Marnia Sol).

The location is perfect to walk downtown, shop, go to the beach, buy beer, groceries or anything else you need.

The location of the property was walking distance to the beach and the marina which allowed us more to enjoy all that Cabo has to offer.

Myself, daughter, son-in-law and 4-1/2 year old granddaughter had the pleasure of staying in E102 for 3 weeks, the unit is perfectly located in the resort and has everything that is needed for a longer stay.

Also, Baja Brewing is located on the 7th floor of the Corazon with views from on high.

The location is amazing and the price made it better than any all inclusive we could have stayed at.

This Resort is the perfect location because we did not have a car and that was OK as we walked everywhere we needed to go , after exploring Cabo we headed to La Paz for a week and glad we did.

What a great location for the Resort as we walked everyone we needed to go.

Visit Santa Maria beach if you have time.

The location is amazing, you can see the famous rocks from the pool.

I showed them the location via Find My Device.

There was only one towel shack and it wasn’t conveniently located.

Very happy with the location of the hotel and the view from the room.

The location and service here was top notch and I was so happy we chose to stay at this resort.

This place is amazing beautifully located in Cabo beach access.

I’ve stayed at multiple RIU locations previously (Aruba, Jamaica, Dominican)

Around the property, it seemed to be stronger and more consistent.That is a concern as we were stuck having to do zoom calls in public areas of the hotel for the WiFi and that was not as comfortable.

but you also don’t want to run up your mobile phone bill by using 3G/5G when WiFi ***should*** be PLENTIFUL.

However, my partner got their phone taken from one of the cubbies at the neon party and unfortunately it wasn’t recovered before we had to leave the following afternoon, so I’d suggest keeping anything valuable on you or locked in your room.

My son also stated that when he went to there called the security guy on his personal cellphone..not on the walkie-talkie not on the hotel phone.

She
told the person on the phone that we need both housekeeping AND maintenance.

My friends had to call a pharmacy themselves.

Brother had blood stains on his duvet
- Had to call and ask 3x for a rollaway bed

He calls the front and gets the room number.

We were not allowed out of room come Sat and that was all the food given until 2pm - after numerous calls.

After realizing this I wandered around and asked 3 different security people to let us in our room or at the very least call the front desk to have someone come let us in.

Could not even talk or hear music on the phone.

My only tip would be to upgrade the plugs etc to accomadate phones etc.

Had to call for maintenance to get it unlocked.

There was a sense of dissatisfaction if employees didn’t receive tips for the slightest of actions as calling a cab.

I figured no one was taking me seriously so I did not want to call and instead just went there.

I attempted to call the front desk 5x from the phone in our room without any success.

Before then my phone was turned off so I was not able to locate it.

- If you are less mobile, please note there are LOTS of stairs to get around here. I would like to note that Nicole tried to make amends for the many issues we had in our room upon checkin by making us a few "reservations" at the specialty restaurant (though getting a table at the restaurants was not hard)

If you like snorkelling, lovers beach, Chileno beach and Santa Maria beach are all worth a visit.

but when 
we opened our doors, we were taken aback by a very strong overwhelming sewer stench in both our 
rooms.

- Moldy bathroom and dirty bedroom furniture.

Rooms showed signs of mold and smell of mildew.

The sheets feel wet and everything smells musty.

The windows, balcony, furniture were left FILTHY!

Just a disgusting experience especially the food.

Smells like sewer really bad and rooms have fallen apart. Beware.

but there are paint chips, chipped wood moldings,cracked tiles, chukcn out of concrete walls, bathroom fans that don't work, etc.

Even the Saxaphone was dripping in sweat which was also not appealing.

Smoking locations are not wheelchair accessible and too remote.

very stiff and questionable and the seafood smelled like it had been left out in the sun for days.

Very warm and smelly elevators, lacking any form of ventilation.

Food lacked flavor, floor in room got my feet dirty when walking barefoot on first day of stay, sometimes it smelled like sewer water in our room and on the atea by the pool, taxi service super high compared to local rates

but since there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the room felt musty and a bid humid.

They shouldn't put the smoking station by the swim up rooms that people pay more money for!

but our neighbor smoked on his balcony, there was someone by beach washrooms smoking, guests on ground floor with pools attached smoked in their pools and a few poolside smokers trying to be sneaky.

We'll just open the balcony door and enjoy some fresh air since the room was musty smelling anyway.

Great location and so much to do in the resort.

The hotel staff are generally friendly especially around the Plaza location and reception areas.

The cons: Booked a NON party room, as well as a quiet location and didn’t get either.

but it is a good budget friendly location.

Overall great location, food good except for flies - the food should be protected in some way in the restaurants, rooms nice size and clean.

Location in proximity to beach/town was perfect.

The hotel is very big, good location the beach is nice.

I would definitely return if the prices were the same and I’d probably book at the adults only location and come to Santa Fe for the pool parties only.

I suggest that building for a central location.

The Santa Fe location is a place I will definitely be returning to!

We stayed in building 7,great location ,close to beach and Torote restaurant which served breakfast and was a smaller ,quieter option to the main buffet.The hotel rooms were very well appointed and very comdortable,air conditioning worked fantastic.All the service people were super friendly everywhere..i would go back as part of a large group

From arriving at the resort, checking in, room location, room cleanliness, pools and buffet/ and specialty restaurants, we had no complaints.

Great location and many options for pool amenities.

We will miss the bountiful breakfasts each morning including fresh fruit and guacamole, made on location donuts, made to order eggs and omelettes.

but we didn’t have an issue with noise.

but it seems we were downgraded, as party rooms are smaller with no couch.The rooms have thin walls as we could hear everyone in the hall and at all times of the night.

they had nightly parties which is fine,but you can hear the music bumping throughout the night.

We were rudely awoken to this bizarre encounter.

One thing I didnt like was the obnoxious drunks who would make noises at all hours of the night and woke us up a few times throughout the week.

it is so loud - the rooms are not soundproof, constant door banking, people walking to/from the disco and/or parties shouting, constantly up every couple of hours.

Drilling started at 7am above our room and continued all day.

Tips:  electricity in the rooms turn on with a card - the towel cards work - you don’t need to use a door access card 
Overhead fan in room was cold with the A/C blowing - the switch to turn fan off was by one of the beds switches for lamps 
Room smell is mildewy iso be aware.

but so was sitting in the pool bar watching the water traffic and non-stop crashing surf.

Also EVERY night the room sirens go off in middle of night.

Which we are sure we were not we were following all traffic.

Incredibly noisy, thumping music morning,noon & night, no peace to be found anywhere.

We flew all the way from US to Mexico and hearing that from the hotel manager to go look for another hotel is absolutely ridiculous.

These parties don't go any later than 11:00 so the noise from there was a non issue and I am very noise sensitive.

A bunch of us shared what we were told while we were at the pool that day and it was easy to see that they weren’t prioritizing the air conditioning system to be fixed and we’re just kind of telling people what they wanted to hear.

I could care less about the noise and partying that’s what vacations are about.. so that type of Karen complaining should just stop.

And you can basically hear the bass/music from the party pool anywhere in the resort while the parties are going on.

Grab a city bus to swim and snorkel at Santa Maria Beach, Chileno Beach and Pamilla Beach and don’t forget to water taxi across to El Arco.

Definitely not the cleanest inside the room and the rooms were always cold and damp when you slept.

I say this because OMG it was disgusting how many flies spread like crazy when opening a door to get hamburger toppings.

I agree, outside of a few restaurants the food was disgusting (even the burger spot was gross) and staff sit around and let flies all over the food.

I mainly stayed in the room the last two days to get some peace from the vendors and loud music and nasty food.

They demanded to enter the room to check for smoking.

At the end of our second day after eating in the Asian restaurant, half my family and I got laid up in bed with a bad case of Monetzuma's Revenge (vomit and diarreha).

My only complaint was the coffee at the breakfast buffet was absolutely disgusting - must have been made with tap water with swamp scum in it.

They do NOT offer any kind of room service 
And to make matters even worse, our room reeked of mold and mildew.

First night at disco smelt like puke.

The restaurant food was awful and disgusting.

Manager (Evan) is rude, all the front desk people are rude, roaches everywhere in the dining hall, dirty and filthy snack bars, I can keep on going.

Bugs and debris on the surface, bugs and debris on the bottom, and a literally sheen of nasty everywhere.

-The lines were disgusting, stained and dirty

-The dining area is swarming with bugs

-Little children grabbing food with their hands

-There is no business area so if you have to do work, you either do it in the room, the reception area which has no air conditioning or the sports bar, where children run wild

-It’s useless to have reservations at restaurants because they let anyone in 

-Oh yeah, you can show up to the restaurants in your swimwear.

The pools and pool parties were super fun until I started to get major skin irritations on my feet and below the waist… ya the family jewels are fluorescent red, peeling, and extremely painful.The doctor said it Looks like a very bad chemical burn.

The room was smelled like mould when we got in and the shower leaked water

The food why you could find something edible was a disappointment especially the Italian restaurant yuck!

Everything tasted horrible and disgusting!

Yes, shower works, with really stinky water.

The server went as far to turn OFF the machine in front of us so we couldn't use it ourselves for self-service, DISGUSTING!

Generally a very disappointing stay and I couldn’t believe what they are charging to stay in a place that is in such shambles.

they will try to charge for things you never recieved or ask for.

Upon check in - there was an attempt to increase my price $75 , after some conversation and the manager coming out I was able to get the price I was already billed on the Bonvoy App … 

This hotel is smaller than that of the US so room, bathroom, closet everything is small.

One tip I do have is that if your traveling alone and have to catch a flight before the shuttle service begins which I did, beware of the $80 charge to take a taxi to the airport.

City Club (like Sam's Club) is around the corner and only charges a $1 for the day membership.

Only negative thing is that if there is more than 2 people staying in room, then you are charged extra per person per day.

but not the whole charge plus the deposit.

You get a key card to put into the wall for electricity and to start the A/C.

There is a card reader on the wall next to the light switch just inside the door into which the door key must be inserted for the lights and air conditioner to work in the room.

Oh, and even as a gold elite, I was going to be charged $10 to stay until 2pm when the hotel is not sold out. Really?
