You can take the bus from The Market and go to the Rosé at no charge which is a few blocks from downtown.

To add insult to injury, the pool's chemical balance was so poorly maintained that it turned our guest's hair green.

Unfortunately, the credit card on file was declined and instead of calling us so we could fix the issue, they just cancelled the reservation and did not tell us for two months, with only two weeks to spare until our vacation.

but does require an up charge if you are on the all inclusive plan.

After the trip, it took me a week to get in touch with the front desk, who charged my credit card a higher amount than what was agreed to at check out.

We were told that day we would be credited back for our charges.

We arrived at 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon, and she charged us $110.00 per person which I personally thought was outrageous, considering the rest of our package was $64.00 per day.

We would have liked a little more explanation about what is and isn't included because we were surprised a few times, once at a restaurant we were under the impression was included, and the other was at the time of check out, there were $200 in small charges and fees for drinks and tips by the pool.

They charge $5.00 for room service even with the all inclusive plan.

Also, didn't love that our Villa didn't have card keys and we were only given three keys (actual keys, not card keys) for our entire party.

I’m still fighting a credit card charge they charged me after check out.

The $1 USD charge on your Puebl Bonito Portfolio goes directly to this fantastic foundation so please , please do not ask to have it removed.

We were not advised that a $700 hold would be placed on our card while staying at the resort.

We rented 4 villas for my daughter’s wedding and 35 hotel rooms at sunset.. We had a lot of complaints from guest on top of my Mither checking into a room that had water and  was moldy .. We asked for a refund and was offered a $200 credit.. No acceptable

We were only there for 3 nights so we didn't have the time to experience all the restaurants, so we just stuck to the ones with no extra charges.

Its very disappointing that a resort of this caliber wasn’t able to resolve this or compensate us other than $100 credit.

You will sign it and they will charge your credit card.

Furniture is old and run down and in need of replacement.

The furniture and decor definitely need some updating as it is starting to show its wear and tear.

When we arrived at our villa, all the furniture was covered in paint cloths, the fountains were drained and inoperative, the silverware was missing, we had no soap, no towels and again, the house smelled like a sewer line broke.

Additionally, the state of the furniture being dirty and outdated is concerning.

Not for anyone unable to go up and down stairs since kitchen/living area on 2nd level and 3 of 5 bedrooms on bottom level.It is Desperately in need of updating of furnishings, pool furniture, and the pool paint (pool has lots of places missing paint making it look dirty on the bottom.).

The furniture was refinished, as were the dining room chairs and outdoor furniture.

The furniture was ripped in the living room.

The living room fabric furniture looked like it came from Goodwill.

In the "Could Do Better" column, I would note that the furniture is old, faded, and uncomfortable.

The cushions on the furniture were worn out and stains on the furniture.

If the rest in phase one are like ours, they are dated, need multiple repairs,  from burned out lightbulbs to bathroom sinks not draining, a/c  fan noise, worn furniture with exposed sharp protrusions, phone system dead, fountain not working, crumbling walls near base, missing tiles in the pool.

The furniture is getting worn out, for the initial cost and maintenance paid you would think it would be nicer.

A lot of the other furniture is old and scratched.

the inside of the villa was not updated in 20 years, furniture was ripped and old.

Our villa #72 had a bit of wear and tear on the furniture.

Faucets have issues, tons of broken tiles everywhere including by the pool actually tore up my hands and feet playing with my kids on our first day, furniture is worn down, new beds and pillow are needed as you can feel the thousands of bodies that have used to prior to us.

but this time our villas furniture was worn, dated and the place just needed an overall upgrade.

The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the need for some updating and replacement of worn, dated furniture & draperies and a couple lamps that were damaged.

The view is beautiful, you get your own private pool and hot tub, what more could you ask for.

We loved our four-bedroom place with pool and two hot tubs!

We had our own two-level 3 bdrm luxury house with private hot tub and swimming pool overlooking the beautiful Pacific — a view to die for!

The villa was spacious; the infinity pool and hot tub were fantastic; and the 24/7 suite service was incredible.

Outdoor space included upper patio with dining area, lounge chairs, grill and hot tub.

The heated pool and hot tub at the villa was wonderful.

we love coming to this resort with our family and having the opportunity to relax and enjoy the private villa (pool/hot tub) while still having access to Sunset Beach and all those activities and restaurants!

The Villas are truly an upgrade to remember, the views are spectacular, and your pool and hot tub is until you experience, hard to say how awesome it is ….but it is soo great !!

You have you own exquisite villa, with all the amenities including your own private infinity pool and hot tub.

The Montecristo Estates Luxury Villas all have gorgeous views, wonderful private swimming pool and hot tub, and tons of room for the whole family!

Hot tub and pool are always clean - as well as the house.

Having a beautiful grill, own hot tub and swimming pool was incredible.

but even in the last 4 years need a little maintenance with some the tiles around the pool cracked or missing, drapes missing proper poles and the laundry room just smelled like sewer gas.

I would walk down and up the peninsula every morning, the maintenance workers would always greet you with "hola and buenos dias"

It seems like there are several maintenance issues that need attention, such as water dripping from the ceiling and puddling up in the master bath and mold in the villa pools.

but the problems were fixed immediately by the friendly maintenance staff, including Carlos Soastegui (the issues were because the villa had been vacant for an extended time prior to our arrival).

During our recent stay at Montecristo, while my family and I were staying in Villa 52, a covid-masked maintenance worker entered our villa during the afternoon, while we were resting.

It does seem like the maintenance on the villas is somewhat behind what it should be.

We did not request housekeeping only had the maintenance worker come to fix the leak when we were out.

Where are the maintenance fees and refurbishment fees going?

This resort is rated 5 stars, they need to do some serious maintenance and updating to remain 5 stars.

We spent several hours dealing with 3 different maintenance people to get it fixed.

but maintenance needs to make sure all appliances are in working order.

Place has really deteriorated over the years, shame for what they collect in maintenance it should be pristine

Sometimes we had trouble getting service with our maintenance calls.

Instead we were offered a maintenance deficient mess.

but apparently those who have been paying maintenance fees since 2005 are not on a priority list.

Maintenance came and took about an hour fixing it.

But, on any other day, the hidden gem of the entire Pueblo Bonito resort area for breakfast and lunch is at the Quivira Golf Club.

We also played multiple rounds of golf at Quivira Golf Club (some of the best views of any golf course) and again the service levels are outstanding, especially at the comfort stations.

I assumed the $50 credit was applied asap and we spent that at the arcade with my child the next day.

We asked for a room change and were accommodated and given a $100 room credit.

Make sure to bring the towel card to get the towel and return after use to get the card back.

I would like to see more activities like this - the card games by pool could be done more frequently during the day.

My bill and I paid the remaining balance.

but after traveling home and looking through my credit card charges I noticed that I did not receive my refund for the room charge.

While the cuisine was delectable, the term "all-inclusive" felt misleading, as charges abounded throughout the resort.

We were also sold a contract at a rate that is not the rate they are charging us for our room reservations.

They force you to charge it to your room and won’t let you pay cash.

However, beware of the $400 room credit they offer for the timeshare presentation.

but beware that if you want something other than standard beverages or food you will receive an 
up charge.

Very low class hotel only focused on charging weddings and no focus anymore on providing excellent top hotel experience.

I inquired to the spa since they give you a $50 credit, a one hour massage is $226 which I did not do.

There were up charges for certain items, which threw me off a bit since they were pretty basic, like lattes.

After the hurricane hit we were left with no power, no ac, leaks in the room and some even had no running water. When we checked out we asked for credit to come to the resort in the near future and the lady at the concierge desk asked "WHY?"

He stated that they did not do credit card transactions, would accept $20 cash that would pay for the shuttle service to and from their resort.

However the golf cart rides were frequently time consuming and unreliable- sometimes they would show up in 2 minutes and we’d have to rush out, other times they’d arrive 25 minutes later (which made us late for our dinner reservations that charges money for no shows).

I had no trouble getting towels at the pool with no towel card.

and half the "included" restaurants required an additional charge from $35 to $50 per person.

They  both also do Bingo, Mexican Bingo -(Lotteria) ,Texas Holdem, Dance Classes, Volleyball, Black Jack - There are different pools and hot tubs -I love the free parking - I love the infinity pools that look out to the sea where you can spot the whales spouting through their blow holes - all fun.

We each had our own private rooms, plus a kitchen/living area in between and a private hot tub on the balcony.

Other pools were nice, adult pool, Villa 17, and Villa 40 pool when it opened (although hot tub never did have bubbles/jets).

The infinity pool, the hot tub and the beautiful rooms were exceptional.

even though our trip was already VERY VERY $$$$$ we agreed because we wanted to be near each other and have the space which included a hot tub.

Rooms - We had a two bedroom and it's very large with nice balcony and hot tub.

The facilities are serene and the sauna, cold plunge and hot tub combo was unique.

Our room overlooked the ocean and had an amazing hot tub on the patio where we watched the sun set most nights.

We used the hot tub virtually every day during our stay.

My family came to this resort for a wedding and booked the Super Executive suite, mainly for the ocean view and the access to a hot tub on the balcony.

We had a two bedroom two bath presidential suite with a hot tub and the most unbelievable view in Building 21 on the 6th floor.

The balcony railings were a constant source of terror for us with a five year old, especially around the hot tub.

We especially enjoyed the view of the ocean from our hot tub on the balcony.

The hot tub is also good there, never really packed.

And there is a hot tub up high with another awesome view.

We are on the very top with a hot tub ,lounges, and the view of ocean forever.

but Guest Services were able to offer us a partial reimbursement for being unable to use the hot tub for 3 of our 6 night stay.

We had to call for towels when there were absolutely non in the room.

We had tried several times to call and email for resos in advance (they said no problem do at check in) for the New Year’s party and dinner

We were asked to call back later and fortunately, we were switched to building 15 on the third floor after two days.

Management call room 1843 to rectify this situation.

I didn't bother calling about it because I just don't think they will do anything.

Attended this resort for a wedding - i received my final bill and it appears wrong - despite phone calls - emails - no answer or contact from anyone at the resort - really poor - it's not the amount it is the lack of communication on their behalf

Other problems:

*A large tarantula appeared in our room the last night 
*No air conditioning or hot water the last day
*Could not get towels sent to the room after 2 calls to housekeeping when we were shorted.

Woke up to the ceiling in our room leaking and literally watching globs of drywall hit the floor, and it was never fixed despite days of calling the front desk to ask for help.

The phone in our room didn't work and wasn't fixed until week 2.

An hour later and no call and no knock on the door, I made another call.

but it was not what I would call an upgrade.

I will not be returning and will look to find another hotel to call home in Cabo.

We had to call a couple of days later for our a/c and power to be restored.

We’ve exchanged our points at RCI for a two week stay at this resort 
The first week it took 6 phone calls and 4 days to fix a broken AC - we could not sleep at all and then another 3 days to fix the second AC that was leaking.

I called Saturday (the morning the hurricane hit land), and was told regarding a variety of topics “we’re putting a plan together, call back later and we hope we’ll have an update.”  When asked about availability of food for our 2-year old, we received a condescending response that all guests were told the day prior to “stock up” on supplies.

Our refrigerator has not been working… after 7 calls and two visits by maintenance… we finally got a different one… After everyone was asleep.

We spent way too many hours on the phone or waiting for someone to show up in the room with problems:  no smoke detector, bedroom fan had no switch to adjust it, tiles broken on jacuzzi tub, lights bulbs taped back in place,.

With hindsight, I’d rather pay a few hundred extra per night and stay somewhere else.

The premium plan is useless because nobody will tell you what drink you can get with a premium plan .

We have paid way too much money to be sitting at the edge of pools.

This year we opted to not purchase the all inclusive and despite the overpriced food items ate for less than half of the cost of two adults for our two week stay.

but the quality is just not there for the cost.

Having paid everything in advance and having a medical emergency (hospitalized); needed to cancel the prepaid trip ahead of time (within the timeframe of limits), it has been more than 30 days and can't get anything out of customer service except "it's been processed".

*In-room breakfast was cold and tasteless 
*Several newer up-charges to the already pricey “all-inclusive” option versus prior visit
*Consistently asked to attend sales presentations

Although the restaurants had very nice decor, we found the food expensive and sub-par.

Again, just pay $20 for a cab v waiting for shuttles.

Prices now make it “seem” like you should pay $150 per person per day to go to all-inclusive upgrade because of prices you’d pay a la carte.

You have to pay $100 for the credit and then if you for some reason don't give them the paper certificate when you leave, no one will help you and then you're on the hook for whatever you spent because you thought you had a credit.

The food was not very good and really expensive if you do not do all inclusive.

I got horrible FOOD POSIONING  and a BACTERIAL INFECTION and had to see the resort doctor at my own expense along with paying for 3 prescriptions and many bottles of electrolytes (not covered by all inclusive).

Then yesterday I attempted to roll over my weeks to the next year and had to pay $100 each to do so.

but it costs 2x an Uber and of course is owned by Pueblo Bonito (lol).

I recently responded to his email asking about what rates were at Quivira Golf Club and if he could help us book a tee time for 3 players for our stay in December 2023.

The combination of luxury furnishings, the infinity poll and other pools and hot tubs, along with the perfect view are just what we needed.

Great pool and hot tub as well as fire pit.

The backyard had a patio, a gorgeous infinity pool, a hot tub, a grill, and a fire pit.

We have our own pool and hot tub to relax in with complete privacy.

The property is gorgeous—private pools, hot tub, and a gorgeous view of the ocean.

Each villa is a multi-million dollar home - 4 or 5 bedrooms (each en suite) with amazing views, a courtyard and a patio overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean with a private pool with swim-up bar, a spa/hot tub, and a fire pit.

We had four families in a four bedroom villa with pool hot tubs and outdoor kitchen.

End of day, a dip in the hot tub and a night ti.e cocktail sitting around the fire pit.

The house sleeps up to 12, has a very large heated pool and hot tub on site along with a large yard, built in bar b que, gas fire pit, grass and yard.

On the back patio, there is a infinity pool with a swimup bar, a hottub and a small firepit with chairs around it.

The barbecue, patio, pool, hot tub, and lighting are all fantastic.

The only problem we had was witg the blue tooth and music.

Each villa is also “smart” with a Crestron digital wall panel that controls lighting, music and water features.

You can either use the old-school jack, or bluetooth wireless, to hook up your phone/iPad/iPod; and you have music throughout the house.

Quivira Golf Club is a quick golf cart ride away and is a must.

Mechanical electrical problems, ensure that electrical switches and sound system are functioning properly., window screening misaligned and window curtains in bathrooms missing, provide some minimal guidance in written form or in personal guidance as to how to operate the mechanical and electrical systems in the residence.

(There are also manual switches in the bedrooms/bathrooms, so that you can turn the music off/on and control the volume.)

The speakers need to be reset facing either the pool or away from the neighbors AND need to be placed at a lower level not high enough to blare over the top of the separating wall.

They charge more per person

The resort itself was bland and basic.

Also, they double charged us for golf, added random small charges that we did not agree to, and has been a complete hassle to receive a refund.

Cons: 
1) They lie about how to use the resort credits.

We had $500 credit for fireworks as part of the promo when signing our contract so we signed up for fireworks.

Up charges are a little ridiculous so be wary of your bill before you sign for anything.

Ignore the solicitors when you come out of customs many times they charge 10X more than it should cost to get to your destination.

They personally printed little itinerary cards for our wedding guests and hand delivered them to every room.

I had many problems despite pre-paying for 4 devices (the systems would allow only 2; then it kept charging me).

but if you are good at saying "no" (you'll have to say no to 4 people) you get a $400 resort credit for the spa, restaurant charges, etc.

Do not take amex so bring cash and other cards.

-Inclusive service as advertised
-Enough outlets to charge more than one or two electronic devices at the same time
-Updated rooms
-Service, room cleaning daily
-Proper communication, English speaking representatives
-sophisticated room access
-proper shuttle service communication
-Dinner out of room, unless you've made an advance reservation

And to no one's surprise, two separate charges showed up on my credit card a few days later.

I then was told to reach the hotel directly to confirm if I had a balance.

However, you can shuttle to another beach for no charge that does have a swimmable beach.

but I suppose they don’t want any disputing of charges when checking out.

Our card was charged that day, as expected.

Our room didn't even have wall outlets near the night stands to plug in or charge your phone at night.

but in reality, you have to pay a cover charge for 3 of the restaurants.

The pool was also cooler than expected and the hot tub wasn't even close to a normal temperature.

shout out to a few of our favourite people that helped make our trip a positive experience: 
Manuel - server at the poolside (specifically the hot tub), he was an amazing server, always made sure we had everything we needed and was always checking on us.

The pool area and the hot tubs are wonderful and the swim up bar was a highlight for all.

Wonderful steam room, hot tub and cold plunge available.

Spa was enjoyable- they have a steam room, hot tub, and plunge.

There are two big pools, a hot tub, and three nice restaurants.

You can not call a Uber to get off property.

We requested multiple times for a phone call during the planning process and never received a single phone call.ever.
