The beach was also one of the few places you can swim at!

The beach and staff were the best part of the hotel for us and the beach service with Daniel was excellent.

My favorite employee was Daniel who worked on the beach serving us as we laid out sunbathing.

If you take 5 steps on onto the beach you are greeted by a literal wall of beach vendors.

We are staying at Sunset beach so decided to take a trip into the Rose & Blanco on 10/7/23.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Blanco and exploring the sister resorts Rosé and Sunset Beach!

The beach is right there - takes 2 minutes from the room.

We had a wonderful time at the pool and on the beach.

Alfredo and Roberto took amazing care of my family at the beach throughout our trip.

Once the storm passed, it was back to the beach.

This hotel offers access to the beach, the waters are clear and blue.

My family comes to Cabo every year and we typically stay at Montecristo/Novaispania and go to Blanco for the pool and beach because we love it there!

Each time I call I am told that they will look into the issue and follow-up and they have yet to do so.

but old the rooms there’s no place to connect your phones beds we’re old and not comfortable this was not our first time in Cabos but one of the most disappointing experience if you don’t have reservations you can’t eat at some of this places and drinks were horrible until we had a god experience at Paloma’s restaurant Martin was the best bartender and everytime we sat on Alfredo the server area in Paloma’s he was the best server he made our experience change when we were feeling disappointed and regretted booking in this hotel thank you Martin and Alfredo at Paloma’s restaurant for making our experience better

but how do you tell us to wait while  call to double check the room was ready then send us to an occupied room.

Upon calling the resort, I was told that because I did not enter the promo code "BOOKEARLY" at checkout, I did not receive the promotion.

It was annoying when we would get in after a late night and had to call for towels.

- tv’s didn’t work, we couldn’t do family movie night
- toilets, bathtub not working & shower head didn’t work
- food took two hours to arrive after ordering
- no coffee in room
- extra charges for every little thing
- rude personnel everywhere
- no laundry
- air condition didn't work
- cell tower right outside our room spewing radiation
- It’s supposed to be all inclusive.

I want to call out Ivan, our pool server and Anna our server at the sushi restaurant.

The internet was a disaster - it would drop every few minutes for everyone in my group, whether on a phone, iPad, or computer.

Both took months and many calls and emails to resolve.

By the end of your trip you’ll be calling each other by your first name.

I received no response to the email I wrote and spent countless hours waiting in the phone only to be told my reservation could not be cancelled and that I should rest assured that Covid protocols and safety measures were in place.

We are still embroiled with PB because they charged us 3 times for our room and we haven't been able to get a manager to return our call in over a week.

Had to unplug a bunch of things to charge phones.

First they need more outlets and USB ports for charging phones and other equipment.

For people that prefer to not bring their phone to the pool/beach or prefer using their Apple Watch, this could be a problem.

Not sure if I was gonna make my flight or not calling my job and my family.

(2 hours after they told us it would be ready) after we get into the room a maid let's herself in to clean the room and I receive a call saying the room is suppose to be vacant it hasn't been cleaned so we pack and get moved.

even though it’s “all inclusive” I prefer to call it almost inclusive.

CONS:
-We discovered upon check in that a number of restaurants are not included in the all inclusive price (Italian and steakhouse for example).

Wanted an ice cream snack one evening and no other option than to pay $9 us for 2 scoops in a cup at the deli/coffee shop that is not included.

For being an all inclusive a lot was included for example the coffee shop in the deli we had to pay for.

All inclusive not all, up charges for certain meals and alcohol, once we figured it out it was better it would have been nice to know in advance.

The only down sides to our stay was that there was a lot of items "not included" in the all inclusive package or they were conveniently out of the all inclusive drinks so you had to pay more to get a different drink.

Overall, this resort is not worth the all inclusive price tag.

The promotion offering had changed and I did not realize this until after I booked my reservation and compared to my sister's final price when she booked hers the same day.

After several attempts to find a solution, Louis said that we could pay $35 dollars per person and have our seats back

but the rooms are very much outdated, not worth the price.

Call ahead and ask if they have any special occasions going on because if they do it will cost more and it might limit your options for food.

Maui had priced itself out of our budget and means.

but were surprised to find out that for some restaurants we had to pay extra $20-40 per person.

I just think we should get what we paid for. .

Quivira Golf Club offers the most spectacular views and the course was very challenging.

The outdated room and property is the main reason why I would seek a different property if I returned.

The only negative is that the rooms could use a nice update.

While the rooms are a bit outdated (bathrooms could use a refresh) and the kitchen/living area as well, it was sufficient and comfortable enough for just 2 nights.

but with his new heart condition, our family does not feel comfortable returning to Pueblo Bonito.

I have been told several times that it is being processed and then when I reach out to them to get an updated timeframe, I either get no response or I get a response that there is nothing to refund.

They were not prepared for the expected weather conditions.

Rooms and building are old and in desperate need of renovation.

They could use some renovation as you can tell the resort was built in the 90s.

The rooms are dark and drab, with outdated decor and bed linens that feel like they're from 1982.

I will say, Blanco and Rose are in serious need of some updates

We hear a remodel will be coming soon and hope they keep the small resort charm.

They also told people to leave their beach chairs to set up for the weddings.

The shuttles come often to take you up the hill to Sunset Beach.

We did hear the beach music from the resort two nights that thumped late into the evening.

Watched Humpback whales daily from the beach.

What a wonderful place, very friendly people and amazing food, clean rooms, amazing location with great beach.

We walked the beach most days & the waves were crashing and big.

The resort is situated right on the beach.

We loved the beach bed and the fact that the beach was so quiet to hear the beautiful waves.

Beautiful resort right on the stretch of beach within a major development.

At the beach bar, I had a very cool time and the best cocktails by Cesia and Lupita.

While there is a beach you cannot swim here as it is on the pacific .

We took a transfer to Rose one day, it was a good experience as well, since the beach there is swimmable.

Cesia is a wonderful bartender at the bar near the beach, go see her!

We ventured to the Market at Sunset Beach one evening.

The resort itself was bland and basic.

Also, they double charged us for golf, added random small charges that we did not agree to, and has been a complete hassle to receive a refund.

Cons: 
1) They lie about how to use the resort credits.

We had $500 credit for fireworks as part of the promo when signing our contract so we signed up for fireworks.

Up charges are a little ridiculous so be wary of your bill before you sign for anything.

Ignore the solicitors when you come out of customs many times they charge 10X more than it should cost to get to your destination.

They personally printed little itinerary cards for our wedding guests and hand delivered them to every room.

I had many problems despite pre-paying for 4 devices (the systems would allow only 2; then it kept charging me).

but if you are good at saying "no" (you'll have to say no to 4 people) you get a $400 resort credit for the spa, restaurant charges, etc.

Do not take amex so bring cash and other cards.

However, you can shuttle to another beach for no charge that does have a swimmable beach.

but I suppose they don’t want any disputing of charges when checking out.

Our card was charged that day, as expected.

Our room didn't even have wall outlets near the night stands to plug in or charge your phone at night.

but in reality, you have to pay a cover charge for 3 of the restaurants.

You can not call a Uber to get off property.

We requested multiple times for a phone call during the planning process and never received a single phone call.ever.

It was difficult communicating with my wedding planner as she rarely answered emails and never took my phone calls.

I had to call multiple times to file a report, spent hours and hours.

In the time since I made the deposit, I asked for help making dinner reservations, activities, etc., and after 6 requests in 3 weeks I can't even get a return phone call.

Pueblo Bonito wedding coordinating staff, unfortunately is very hard to reach via phone and/or email.

All my requests and calls seemed to be ignored because when we got there our rooms were at bottom level no view.

The room was 3*, we never had hot water in our shower despite calling down multiple times, it was loud 24/7 from running water or AC and we were the top floor ocean view suite.

Unfortunately, the resort double charged the second half of our room payment and provides no contact phone number or email for resolution.

butler will make your dinner reservations as well as reserve any activities you would like to do which means you only have to call one person and tell them what you would like to do  and not worry about making all the plans yourself.

If you go to the beach there be sure to order the Nachos - they were amazing.

She helped us in many ways - from dealing with our travel arrangements within the area, set up our day at the beach beautifully, had wine & food delivered, helped us deal with the sudden illness of one of our party - at every turn Karen understood exactly what we needed and took care of it.

We spent time on the beach and rented a cabana and the wait staff was excellent.

When in season be sure to go to the beach and watch the turtles being released!

Just returned from our fourth vacation at Montecristo Estates Villas & Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort.

We have been coming to Montecristo and Sunset Beach since our now 15 year old was a baby.

The property itself is beautiful and we loved having access to the beach resorts and facilities.

This was our 3rd time staying at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and we always spend most of our trip at Montecristo Estates.

We are familiar with Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and absolutely Love this place!

My husband and I treated our oldest son and his young family to a relaxing week of sun, pools and beach time.

We just returned from two weeks at the Monte Cristo Villas at Sunset Beach and cannot say enough about the staff throughout the resort.

Pueblo Bonito Montecristo at Sunset Beach is always a luxurious experience.

we love coming to this resort with our family and having the opportunity to relax and enjoy the private villa (pool/hot tub) while still having access to Sunset Beach and all those activities and restaurants!

We absolutely loved our first stay here at sunset beach and Pueblo Bonito resorts.

My family has been visiting Pueblo Bonita Sunset Beach for many years.

Our daughter got married at the resort with a beach wedding and reception at the sky pool, the villa was perfect for gathering with family and friends.

I was invited to go to the Letty Coppel Foundaation by Ms. Goyit Osako, the GM for Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.

You can take the bus from The Market and go to the Rosé at no charge which is a few blocks from downtown.

To add insult to injury, the pool's chemical balance was so poorly maintained that it turned our guest's hair green.

We were charged for a someone that canceled,

Unfortunately, the credit card on file was declined and instead of calling us so we could fix the issue, they just cancelled the reservation and did not tell us for two months, with only two weeks to spare until our vacation.

but does require an up charge if you are on the all inclusive plan.

After the trip, it took me a week to get in touch with the front desk, who charged my credit card a higher amount than what was agreed to at check out.

We were told that day we would be credited back for our charges.

We arrived at 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon, and she charged us $110.00 per person which I personally thought was outrageous, considering the rest of our package was $64.00 per day.

We would have liked a little more explanation about what is and isn't included because we were surprised a few times, once at a restaurant we were under the impression was included, and the other was at the time of check out, there were $200 in small charges and fees for drinks and tips by the pool.

They charge $5.00 for room service even with the all inclusive plan.

Also, didn't love that our Villa didn't have card keys and we were only given three keys (actual keys, not card keys) for our entire party.

I’m still fighting a credit card charge they charged me after check out.

The $1 USD charge on your Puebl Bonito Portfolio goes directly to this fantastic foundation so please , please do not ask to have it removed.

We were not advised that a $700 hold would be placed on our card while staying at the resort.

We rented 4 villas for my daughter’s wedding and 35 hotel rooms at sunset.. We had a lot of complaints from guest on top of my Mither checking into a room that had water and  was moldy .. We asked for a refund and was offered a $200 credit.. No acceptable

We were only there for 3 nights so we didn't have the time to experience all the restaurants, so we just stuck to the ones with no extra charges.

Its very disappointing that a resort of this caliber wasn’t able to resolve this or compensate us other than $100 credit.

You will sign it and they will charge your credit card.

Furniture is old and run down and in need of replacement.

The furniture and decor definitely need some updating as it is starting to show its wear and tear.

When we arrived at our villa, all the furniture was covered in paint cloths, the fountains were drained and inoperative, the silverware was missing, we had no soap, no towels and again, the house smelled like a sewer line broke.

Additionally, the state of the furniture being dirty and outdated is concerning.

Not for anyone unable to go up and down stairs since kitchen/living area on 2nd level and 3 of 5 bedrooms on bottom level.It is Desperately in need of updating of furnishings, pool furniture, and the pool paint (pool has lots of places missing paint making it look dirty on the bottom.).

The furniture was refinished, as were the dining room chairs and outdoor furniture.

The furniture was ripped in the living room.

The living room fabric furniture looked like it came from Goodwill.

In the "Could Do Better" column, I would note that the furniture is old, faded, and uncomfortable.

The cushions on the furniture were worn out and stains on the furniture.

If the rest in phase one are like ours, they are dated, need multiple repairs,  from burned out lightbulbs to bathroom sinks not draining, a/c  fan noise, worn furniture with exposed sharp protrusions, phone system dead, fountain not working, crumbling walls near base, missing tiles in the pool.

The furniture is getting worn out, for the initial cost and maintenance paid you would think it would be nicer.

A lot of the other furniture is old and scratched.

the inside of the villa was not updated in 20 years, furniture was ripped and old.

Our villa #72 had a bit of wear and tear on the furniture.

Faucets have issues, tons of broken tiles everywhere including by the pool actually tore up my hands and feet playing with my kids on our first day, furniture is worn down, new beds and pillow are needed as you can feel the thousands of bodies that have used to prior to us.

but this time our villas furniture was worn, dated and the place just needed an overall upgrade.

The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the need for some updating and replacement of worn, dated furniture & draperies and a couple lamps that were damaged.

but even in the last 4 years need a little maintenance with some the tiles around the pool cracked or missing, drapes missing proper poles and the laundry room just smelled like sewer gas.

I would walk down and up the peninsula every morning, the maintenance workers would always greet you with "hola and buenos dias"

It seems like there are several maintenance issues that need attention, such as water dripping from the ceiling and puddling up in the master bath and mold in the villa pools.

but the problems were fixed immediately by the friendly maintenance staff, including Carlos Soastegui (the issues were because the villa had been vacant for an extended time prior to our arrival).

During our recent stay at Montecristo, while my family and I were staying in Villa 52, a covid-masked maintenance worker entered our villa during the afternoon, while we were resting.

It does seem like the maintenance on the villas is somewhat behind what it should be.

We did not request housekeeping only had the maintenance worker come to fix the leak when we were out.

Where are the maintenance fees and refurbishment fees going?

This resort is rated 5 stars, they need to do some serious maintenance and updating to remain 5 stars.

We spent several hours dealing with 3 different maintenance people to get it fixed.

but maintenance needs to make sure all appliances are in working order.

Place has really deteriorated over the years, shame for what they collect in maintenance it should be pristine

Sometimes we had trouble getting service with our maintenance calls.

Instead we were offered a maintenance deficient mess.

but apparently those who have been paying maintenance fees since 2005 are not on a priority list.
