We all had a great day on the beach making new memmories.

The beach is ok, and is roped off from vendors

Resort guests are kicked out of beach and pool chairs when ship passengers arrive.

The location is perfect, right on the beach and close to everything.

The guys at the pool and the beach are great.

We enjoyed very much the breakfast in restaurant right on the beach.

The girl who cleaned our room, Monica, was very good and so pleasant.

Happy hour at the pool and beach 11am-12 and 3-4pm.

Beach in front is great as are the pools.

but for the most part the area was looking great, beaches still needed to recoup some sand.

Jesus was awesome at the beach with chairs etc.

Incredible views from both the beach and the pool.

Walking distance to everything and right on the beach.

Guys at the beach (especially Carlos) were always available and accommodating.

This year our view from the pool is blocked by the Mango deck addition and they added cabanas on the beach in the front row that obstruct the ocean view.

The beach service guys are always top notch and will get you what you need.

I was walking along the beach and I saw that the place is clean and with air conditioning inside and the experience was extraordinary despite the fact that I was not a guest of the hotel and the work staff was excellent.

We are beach people as we love being by the ocean and mingle with the vendors when we choose to.

but respectful sales folks along the beach if you opt for a cabana rather than poolside.

me and my friend wanted to do a photo shoot at lovers beach and divorce beach and it was incredible.

While Casa Dorada does offer a 2 for 1 special on alcoholic drinks on Tuesdays from 11am-12pm and 3-4pm, the drinks are very expensive.

I will join others in saying Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort and Spa is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive.

cabo is just expensive and things like water or coffee are not complimentary.

but not worth the price
Much better deals out there so check around.

This time we noticed a drastic change in room prices as well as food and beverage costs.

They seemed more interested in aggressively selling cabanas at seemingly inflated prices rather than catering to the needs of hotel guests.

but was just okay and if we would have had to pay it would have been almost 100.00 US for two.

We were told it must be purchased from the resort at their exceptional high prices.

However, I am a bit mixed as we had good pool side service along with the food (which is a bit more expensive vs outside the resort).

12 Tribes in particular was absurdly expensive.

My disappointment was the unreasonable increase in food prices.

but this added expense will be a factor in my decision to move my family to another hotel on future trips.

Prices seemed a little outrages, rivaling Vegas at appx $10 a beer and $20 for a mixed drink!

It costs a little more than some of places I had researched prior to booking

The one area of caution is arrange your own shuttle service to the airport, they will tell you taxi  prices are one price then bate and switch you then you are stuck because you trusted their advice.

but they did a 100% increase in food and beverage prices.

My only criticism would be the would be the high cost of food and beverages at the hotel.

If there was a downside, drinks are very expensive poolside.

LOCATION: the resort’s website seems to leave out that the hotel is nestled next to a night club…the beach in front of the resort is a constant party scene with blaring music and relentless vendors often times trying to sell inappropriate merchandise to children.

Every time someone would flushed their toilet, the jet tub would make a gargling sound.

Our room was directly across from one of the busier clubs and with your patio sliding door closed you could barely hear anything.

The nightlife in the area might be a little noisy for early risers,

The pre recorded artificial crowd noise got old quick.

Everything was 5 stars except for the loud noise from the club a few doors down.

It was non stop noise for morning to night.

The rooms were very sound proof as well, we never heard any hall our outside noise.

The only negative is that there is a bar close by (Mango Deck) that is a little loud at night

Our door opened up to the sounds and smells of the hotel trash and parking.

Along with the umbrellas & chairs there is a near constant stench of weed.

Since you're in the middle of a popular area, it can be a little noisy at night from clubs nearby,

The only minor issue was the somewhat loud noise and music coming from the Mango Deck (the beach club bar adjacent to the property).

It does get active and loud in that area,

There are several popular restaurants/beach clubs surrounding the resort that can get a little loud.

However, it is awful if you are looking for anything like a quiet get-away.

We had an amazing ocean view from our room- blazing sunrise every morning, only critique was that we couldn’t make our tv work and the beach chairs were uncomfortable.

Fantastic bay and city views and close to water activities to enjoy.

Beach, pools, spa, restaurants/ bars, venders, marina/fishing, shopping, music/dancing,  best views, very clean,  nicest staff, everything at your finger tips, no car necessary.. walk everywhere! ❤️

It has easy access to beach club, restaurant, bar, spa, cafe, etc.

The staff at the beach club were amazing.

Temo & Angel at the beach club were very accommodating.

They have a roped-off area for guests at the Corazón, and we had reserved two days at the beach via email before our stay.

Reserved bed at beach and wasn’t available when arrived.

The views from the pool and the beach access is also perfection.

The pools are great and the service at the beach is wonderful.

Best location as it has access to the only beach you can actually swim in, close to downtown, and also close to the higher end restaurants around the resort itself.

They have a nice little beach which we enjoyed lounging and swimming at

Angel and Temo service was perfect at the Beach Club!

Although we are used to excellent service from the beach staff, this was one of the best service experiences we have every had.

Make sure you check your itemized receipt as my dad was charged ~$500 initially in charges he did not incur.

When we asked about changing rooms to one that was an actual two bedroom, we were told the cost to upgrade would be an additional $4,200 for 3 nights, when we asked about a credit due to the facilities not being available, we were told that it wouldn't be possible.

however I would like my charges to be exact.

When we tried to book an activity through the hotel, we discovered that they attempted to charge a higher price than listed, and once again, tried to rope us into their timeshare program.

They had my room number and I figured they would charge it to my room, like I asked them to when I first ordered.

I was amazed when looking at the website that the room rate was much less than the 1500 a night we were charged and amazed that only a portion of our prior reservation was applied to our room.

Upon first year of booking and returning, we were told suite is only available if we book half a year to a year ahead , if we want to deposit our days to rent through them, they charge 38% on top of it, the website that showed the special price is not available to us ( not interval nor global ) we were asked to pay deposit to participate our 1st year return presentation.

It will take 10 to 20 business days to see a credit on our card (which is nuts).

The final kicker was the hotel charged us $300 for breaking an outdoor table

The only thing we miss was the fund poker and black jack games they held at the pool.

but we would advise them to be aware of the possibility of accidental charges and to be prepared to dispute them if they occur.

Every \thing is overpriced, I wanted to buy one tea bag, and they wanted to charge $7.00 for one tea bag.

food and beverage credits were not provided.

She kept us out of checking in for an hour and only after I threatened to leave and dispute the hotel's charges on my credit card did they give me my room.

So if you do this package be aware that you will want to tip in cash and not charge it to the room.

U.S. dollars are acceptable, as is credit, so pesos may be better served as being used for tip money only.

They need to implement a warning system after (30) minutes place a warning card on the unused chairs, then another at 45 minutes, then at 1 hour their belongings are removed.

I was charged for things I didn’t order.

Rental agreement CONTRACT states that 62% of unit charge for the week would be wired to me WITHIN 30 to 60 days from last day of rental, which was 29th of October.

however long you wish which gives you the opportunity to walk (500') to the Pacific side (Divorce Beach) which is truly amazing.

The only negative was the constant and steady disruption from the beach vendors.

The other problem we ran into was noise at the bars.

The room was poorly insulated and we heard loud music and talking until about 1am every night and starting at 9 in the morning.

You can not even hear the beach waves in the daytime even when at the beach with music blasting.

Jackhammers going at 2:30am, loud music at 1am.

but they cant hear me because the muic is too loud

Only negatives is we got asked to buy into timeshare repeatedly and the constant sales of local merchants on the beach.

It could have been better without the constant pounding of the Techno music that the DJ insisted on playing.

Noise level was ridiculous plus they were sawing tile and working till midnight every day.

Beach club is great music could be lower as at times too loud to hear people talk.

It was a horrendous experience and I will never go back!

2nd pool was under construction with noise until 10:30 with saw cutting of tile.

Finally the ongoing construction created lots dust and noise (a few days till around 11pm).

but honestly after a couple of days I got used to hearing it that it did not bother me any more.

The noise is loud from early morning to night.

The worst part is there are 2 new clubs on either side of the beach club playing their own loud music so you get to hear loud thumping music from 2 separate places who rent umbrellas to locals and visitors from cruise ships directly in front of Corazón Beach Club blocking the view of the ocean.

We do not mind a bit of construction noise if that is what it will take Corazon to honor our original booking.

The one thing that doesn’t give this resort 5 stars is the level of noise that can be heard into the night in the rooms.

but if you get the wrong person it can ruin the day (see Cons)

We had a fantastic time lounging on the beach and pool.

I cannot end this review without mentioning the luxurious massage I received at the resort spa near the beach.

but unswimmable beach, easy walking distance to downtown. BUT.

but this side of the arches was so much quieter and peaceful - the waves are massive so it’s not a swimming beach, but definitely cool to see the huge crashing waves here.

From this resort, walk to the right to view some of the other resorts along this waterfront.

Played beach volleyball, blackjack, poker, and lots of pool time.

The activity coordinator Jorge is absolutely amazing and I will definitely be doing more water arobics and beach volleyball next time!

Amazing service and very clean if you do come do the all inclusive it will save so much money and they had activities like beach volleyball and everything.

We took morning walks along the beach multiple days and followed a humpback mama whale and her calf feeding.

It is right on the beach and you could listen to the ocean from everywhere.

Our group especially enjoyed the beach volleyball, water aerobics, and black jack!

Jorge at the pool was especially fantastic, he had so many fun activities to do like blackjack and beach volleyball and he really made our experience memorable.

The staff are so welcoming and accommodating, especially the activities coordinator Jorge who always had an activity like beach volleyball, water aerobics, and black jack to entertain us.

It was under construction and WINDY, both of which we didn't expect.

Only to arrive after a long day,  they book you in, then tell you that they are having maintenance issues and they will be sending you to their sister hotel, way out of town,

Yes, our first room was a bit outdated and unfortunately was right next to/over the construction happening on their new entryway,

Construction was still ongoing at the Solmar,

We moved into a room, that was away from construction noise and had sun.

Another issue was when ever we wanted to take a nap in the middle of the day they had construction going on continuously and the worst part was the Jack hammers.

Despite some negative reviews I read there was hardly any construction noise.

The resort again was inundated with construction noise from the additional lobby work.

Construction going on which was very loud at times.

But more than that, we were given a room (told it was a free upgrade to a special suite, "no extra charge"), only to find a major jack-hammering construction project was going on right outside of our balcony, 10 hours a day.

Because of construction, we were relocated to the Playa Grande from the Solmar Resort and Beach Club.

The beds were comfortable and I did not hear any of the construction noise others have mentioned.

The construction noise was at times loud,

The prices are bad to start with then they add IVA tax and a 10% resort service charge - which according to the manager is optional

We also played multiple cards games on the daily.

I would caution people that they do charge to the room even if you request to pay separately which caused disruption at checkout

The resort will shuttle guests to their other properties without charge.

The All-Inclusive option is a tremendous value and we love the food and drink options, we do wish the tip option was a little more transparent so we could ensure if we were tipping on the room charge that it would go to our server,

They wouldn't let uber past the gate because the hotel charges $100 for airport when it's $40 for uber.

I paid the balance a week before the trip.

Paid online and my card was processed on Mar 19, 2022.

One thing to be aware of is you cannot add a tip to your credit card.

Don't drink any of the bottled water provided in the room or you will be charged.

I lost $800, and no credit was offered either.

Not even a place to charge your phone by the bed.

Additionally we got home to find $$271.00 additional charges on our credit card.

I was charged 40.00 for 4 shots of Don Tequila when I have been sober for 30 years.

On top of that they triple charged our credit card charged us the day we checked out days after we left so now we have to call the bank and have that fixed.

but he could use my west jet credit card.

The rental agent agreed and it was only when I received my credit card statement when I returned to the US that I saw I had been charged the higher price.

Has overpriced restaurants charging $25 for a fettuccine Alfredo when their sister facilities sells full seafood dinner buffets for $37 for adults and half for kids.

Walking over to Divorce beach and snorkeling over at Lovers Beach is a highlight.

We were able walk from the hotel to climb over the rocks to Honeymoon Beach, Divorce Beach and Lovers Beach to swim in the Sea of Cortez.

You are a few yards away from what they call divorce beach.

If you are reasonably fit and up for a scramble you can walk to lovers/divorce beach - bring your snorkel or rent one at lovers beach to swim at pelican rock.

The rock formations are phenomenal and offer small beaches including a honeymoon and a divorce beach; both lovely!

The location near land's end was perfect as well, so you can hike over the small rock formation to get to Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach.

If you would like to take a ride from the harbor (marina) to the arc or a lovers beach, divorce beach,Medano beach, look for "el Capitan Perico".

We walked to the end and went up and over the big rock hill to the lovers beach and divorce beach.

Solmar is RIGHT in the middle of the marina, el arco (the arch) and between Divorce beach and Lovers beach.

From the location point of view, you can stroll along a magnificent beach undisturbed and access Divorce Beach and Lover's Beach by climbing over a small rock hill.

If you're in good physical condition, you can climb the rock formations a short distance from the resort and make it to Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach within a 5 minute walk from the resort.

The walk over the rocks at the end of the peninsula led to Lover's beach (swimable) and Divorce beach (not swimable).

So, don't pay extra for the taxi and just climb the big stone (a very easy hike with sandals NOT flipflops) and you're at divorce beach, which is right across from lovers beach.

Quick walk to Lover's Beach, Divorce Beach and Los Arcos.

Pool Staff and Beach Staff are very helpful.

And the location on Medano Beach is perfect for accessing beach-side restaurants.

Victor at the beach and the pool kept the food and drink flowing despite the steps and the ramp down to the beach.

Access to a ton of beach activities right off the back.

The location is perfect - view of the beach and right next to the pool.

We were looking forward to relaxing on the beach under an umbrella with drinks in hand

This is the nicest property on Medano beach in my opinion!

Dinner on the beach with Axel as our server was outstanding.

The beach out front was very choppy for the entire stay.

Stayed in a two-bedroom / three bath villa with an incredible view of the bay.

There are many vendors on the beach selling their goods.

Great location, amazing views of lands end, pretty swimmable beach, grounds and pools are immaculate and our unit was gorgeous.
