Pedro at the bar at the pool was amazing!!

They were letting everyone in the sky lounge and the tapas bar had no tapas and no private check in - all lies.

Special shout outs to Julien, the pool waiter and the pool bar staff, Omar, Leonardo and the other young lady who were the entertainment directors  at the pool, Alfredo and Marco, the valets, Hugo and the other bartenders at the lobby bar, and Isidro at the sports bar.

Bars are stocked with very little variety.

We met the people in charge of the restaurants and bars and that's when our experience changed.

The food changed, the service, the standards, the specialty restaurants and the attention of the staff in the bars enchanted us.

Esmeralda was really great, helped us throughout the week and takes pride in her job too Oskar at martini bar was wonderful as well, makes an awesome chocolate martini!

They had the best Martini bar, that On any given night, had one couple sitting in it.

-Staff work very hard- kudos to bar staff, lunch and breakfast staff who are friendly and there to try and meet everyone’s needs.

And don’t have any bars available, they’ll make more money.

The hotel is building an adult-only pool with a bar and I think that once is finished it will be great.

Secondly; Julian at the pool bar was our guy!

Even the pool table in the sports bar was torn.

There is a disco bar that I think had karaoke

The food was good at every restaurant including the poolside bar.

You don't have the option other than choosing from (4) options at the bar for a couple hours during the day.

The waiter from the beach bar even served us in our loungers at our room.

Pedro, Julian and Paulina gave 5 star service every day at the adults only bar.

Room: Toilet did not work,  shower was lukewarm with very low pressure.

The worst 5 days vacation experience in Crystal Grand Resort
The resort is small and old, 
We got a room with dirty towels, no mirror and no safe, when we asked for a mirror, we were told that the resort has no extra mirrors for our room.

The resort is extremely outdated, our altitude room was full of small bugs, broken coffee maker, toilet that barely flushed, outdoor jacuzzi that only had cold water.. located on the 6th floor in a building with a broken elevator- out of 8 days the elevator only worked for 2 of them.

This place is awful worst then a 1 star every thing broken please stay away from this junk thanks Toilet, broken air conditioner didn’t work pools were broken and I wouldn’t even feed the food to my dog.

Toilet paper was like cigarettes in prison.

Although the room was large with a kitchenette, there were no amenities, utensils, dishes, nothing.

The shower in our room had cool water and never drained properly, no garbage can until day 6 and got our room cleaned once and only because we complained.

There was no tub in this room, only a shower.

Showers were hot and towels were abundant (and there was face cloths).

There was only a hand towel in the bathroom and when we requested towels at 11:30 it was still not there.

Poor house keeping  had 2 bath towels and 2 face towels when we checked in next day all used towels removed by housekeeper leaving none that evening finally went to front desk they sent 2 towels next day again towels were removed WTF finally gad to steel towel off the house keeper cart when she wasn't looking

We yelled at him to cover himself and leave the women’s bathroom

We found out later, the hard way, that the shower was also broken.

Heck one day they gave us ONE bath towel and said that was all they had.

There were huge waterbugs everywhere including on our balcony crawling alongside the dirty jacuzzi, cobwebs, dirty walls, weird odors and stained lounge chairs.

However, the bathroom had only two threadbare towels and a bathmat.

My mom’s room shower doesn’t work and the air conditioner doesn’t work either.

The shower door would not close, the toilet was difficult to flush.

Bath towels need to be retired and only body and hand soap was provided.

Chileno beach is a must see to snorkel/swim with the fish if you can.

Overall would go back and spend more time at Chileno beach for sure!

but had everything we needed , we don’t do room service daily , when we did they forgot towels , went to concierge to ask for towels didn’t get any , husband went and got pool towels, no issue with towels after this for remainder of stay .

After waiting more than a few hours to get a towel we received a worn out towel and it wasn't only our towels, everyone got the same.

Going down to the pools, several surprises, first, there were no towels, they say they would arrive in 20 minutes, which did not happen until more than 1 hour later, then, there was not a single beach bed, and like us, several families were looking around for a place to stay, and even more, posts were saying that it was prohibited to take the beach beds and leave them unattended, a tacit acceptance of the hotel that they took more guests than they have facilities.

What shows it is 3-star instead of 4 was the crappy, worn and stained pool side towels.

There were no towels, no water in the room, the door locks were not working and an endless list of things from the moment we arrived.

I was not going to get up (as I was informed) at 5 am to go down and "reserve" my hubby and I a chair, with our towels..

buttons didn't work and with no directory, two towels, two face cloths, one hand towel, and one coffee cup.

Our room wasn't cleaned daily, leaving us with wet towels daily towels as my family of four shared one towel hanger.

They cleaned our room one time and had to use dirty towels.

Pool towels are brown, faded and stained.

Some days we got fresh wash clothes and towels, some days we did not!

Trying to get face towels or towel in general was difficult, having a close elevator that worked, would have made it nice on my elderly mother.

We were given towels 2 times in five days and the towels were very rough and frayed.

When we finally got into our room, we had 0 towels.

Plenty of restaurants and bars for everyone.

The bartenders at the swim up/ pool bars were outstanding.

It has great pool areas and sun bathing decks and swim-up bars along with lots of food options throughout your stay including special restaurants, Italian, Japanese and other cuisines especially of evening meal and dining options.

Location to town was perfect, water slides so much fun, and sports bar was fun (Altho could use more tables).

Plenty to do and see, they have several pools, bars and places to eat.

Other facilities such as pools, loungers and bars were all really really well maintained.

Dessi the bar tender at Mezcal swim up bar was very engaging and made sure everyone had a laugh to go with their good times.

Could always find something to eat Tkkin Taco bar was fantastic.

The flies were all over salad bar and fresh fruit bar. Gross!!!

.Nowhere Bar down on the marina is always a nice change from Squid Row.

First few days were great until I ate at Tiki Taco bar and got food poisoning, was bedridden for two days.

Coffee.. if you like coffee- sports bar has baristas and machines and best coffee in the place! !

The snack bars were good for a quick bite without having to get out of your bathing suit.

There are lots of pools, bars and restaurants to choose from.

The town of Cabo and Marina were so fun with so many bars, restaurants and shopping!!

It is a huge resort, pool bars, nightlife party, and beautiful room, I wish I could say more.

Pros:
Alot of pools, plenty of chairs,  Adrian at the swim up bar is excellent, the LaBaja California restaurant has great service,

Grab a city bus to swim and snorkel at Santa Maria Beach, Chileno Beach and Pamilla Beach and don’t forget to water taxi across to El Arco.

but we didn’t have an issue with noise.

but it seems we were downgraded, as party rooms are smaller with no couch.The rooms have thin walls as we could hear everyone in the hall and at all times of the night.

they had nightly parties which is fine,but you can hear the music bumping throughout the night.

We were rudely awoken to this bizarre encounter.

One thing I didnt like was the obnoxious drunks who would make noises at all hours of the night and woke us up a few times throughout the week.

it is so loud - the rooms are not soundproof, constant door banking, people walking to/from the disco and/or parties shouting, constantly up every couple of hours.

Drilling started at 7am above our room and continued all day.

Tips:  electricity in the rooms turn on with a card - the towel cards work - you don’t need to use a door access card 
Overhead fan in room was cold with the A/C blowing - the switch to turn fan off was by one of the beds switches for lamps 
Room smell is mildewy iso be aware.

but so was sitting in the pool bar watching the water traffic and non-stop crashing surf.

Also EVERY night the room sirens go off in middle of night.

Which we are sure we were not we were following all traffic.

Incredibly noisy, thumping music morning,noon & night, no peace to be found anywhere.

We flew all the way from US to Mexico and hearing that from the hotel manager to go look for another hotel is absolutely ridiculous.

These parties don't go any later than 11:00 so the noise from there was a non issue and I am very noise sensitive.

A bunch of us shared what we were told while we were at the pool that day and it was easy to see that they weren’t prioritizing the air conditioning system to be fixed and we’re just kind of telling people what they wanted to hear.

I could care less about the noise and partying that’s what vacations are about.. so that type of Karen complaining should just stop.

And you can basically hear the bass/music from the party pool anywhere in the resort while the parties are going on.

Definitely not the cleanest inside the room and the rooms were always cold and damp when you slept.

I say this because OMG it was disgusting how many flies spread like crazy when opening a door to get hamburger toppings.

I agree, outside of a few restaurants the food was disgusting (even the burger spot was gross) and staff sit around and let flies all over the food.

I mainly stayed in the room the last two days to get some peace from the vendors and loud music and nasty food.

They demanded to enter the room to check for smoking.

At the end of our second day after eating in the Asian restaurant, half my family and I got laid up in bed with a bad case of Monetzuma's Revenge (vomit and diarreha).

My only complaint was the coffee at the breakfast buffet was absolutely disgusting - must have been made with tap water with swamp scum in it.

They do NOT offer any kind of room service 
And to make matters even worse, our room reeked of mold and mildew.

First night at disco smelt like puke.

The restaurant food was awful and disgusting.

Manager (Evan) is rude, all the front desk people are rude, roaches everywhere in the dining hall, dirty and filthy snack bars, I can keep on going.

Bugs and debris on the surface, bugs and debris on the bottom, and a literally sheen of nasty everywhere.

-The lines were disgusting, stained and dirty

-The dining area is swarming with bugs

-Little children grabbing food with their hands

-There is no business area so if you have to do work, you either do it in the room, the reception area which has no air conditioning or the sports bar, where children run wild

-It’s useless to have reservations at restaurants because they let anyone in 

-Oh yeah, you can show up to the restaurants in your swimwear.

The pools and pool parties were super fun until I started to get major skin irritations on my feet and below the waist… ya the family jewels are fluorescent red, peeling, and extremely painful.The doctor said it Looks like a very bad chemical burn.

The room was smelled like mould when we got in and the shower leaked water

The food why you could find something edible was a disappointment especially the Italian restaurant yuck!

Everything tasted horrible and disgusting!

Yes, shower works, with really stinky water.

The server went as far to turn OFF the machine in front of us so we couldn't use it ourselves for self-service, DISGUSTING!

The cocktails were fantastic with a plethora of choices and the use of name-brand liquors…the bar staff were fantastic (our favorite was Paul/bar waitstaff on the “Lazy” pool side).

Realistically you would expect to have flies and bees around any outdoor restaurant and bars.

There is a mini bar with a few drink options.

Everything was great with the pools and bar and food service.

Our second evening, we were hungry when we got back to our resort and attempted to find food at Lounge 24, the 24-hour snack bar.

Great visit,second stay here.food was great bartenders and pool bar and lobby bar where awesome.

The Happy Ending bar has the best prices, hard alcohol drinks were $3.75 and they are doubles and food is cheap.

Friday evening they presented us with 2 boxes of corn flakes and a couple granola bars and said this is breakfast for Saturday morning.

Luis and Gail in the lobby bar kept us entertained while making excellent drinks.

Most of the dining and bar staff are great

The high ceilings in the reception area and bar area made it feel so open and airy.

The open bar was well-stocked, making our toughest decision of the week what cocktail to order next.

Arrived ,check in was easy , went to eat at the buffet no one cared for us, went to the bar and met Alberto he made our day I met his captain Irvin as well .

We sat at the bar to wait for our ride, after a 5 hour flight.

- Get to Chileno Beach for the beats swimming.

We took a taxi to go to the Chileno Beach excellent clear waters to go to the beach.

If you like snorkelling, lovers beach, Chileno beach and Santa Maria beach are all worth a visit.

We spent a day at Chileno Beach which is a MUST DO!

Around the property, it seemed to be stronger and more consistent.That is a concern as we were stuck having to do zoom calls in public areas of the hotel for the WiFi and that was not as comfortable.

but you also don’t want to run up your mobile phone bill by using 3G/5G when WiFi ***should*** be PLENTIFUL.

However, my partner got their phone taken from one of the cubbies at the neon party and unfortunately it wasn’t recovered before we had to leave the following afternoon, so I’d suggest keeping anything valuable on you or locked in your room.

My son also stated that when he went to there called the security guy on his personal cellphone..not on the walkie-talkie not on the hotel phone.

She
told the person on the phone that we need both housekeeping AND maintenance.

My friends had to call a pharmacy themselves.

Brother had blood stains on his duvet
- Had to call and ask 3x for a rollaway bed

He calls the front and gets the room number.

We were not allowed out of room come Sat and that was all the food given until 2pm - after numerous calls.

After realizing this I wandered around and asked 3 different security people to let us in our room or at the very least call the front desk to have someone come let us in.

Could not even talk or hear music on the phone.

My only tip would be to upgrade the plugs etc to accomadate phones etc.

Had to call for maintenance to get it unlocked.

There was a sense of dissatisfaction if employees didn’t receive tips for the slightest of actions as calling a cab.

I figured no one was taking me seriously so I did not want to call and instead just went there.

I attempted to call the front desk 5x from the phone in our room without any success.

Before then my phone was turned off so I was not able to locate it.

- If you are less mobile, please note there are LOTS of stairs to get around here. I would like to note that Nicole tried to make amends for the many issues we had in our room upon checkin by making us a few "reservations" at the specialty restaurant (though getting a table at the restaurants was not hard)

but when 
we opened our doors, we were taken aback by a very strong overwhelming sewer stench in both our 
rooms.

- Moldy bathroom and dirty bedroom furniture.

Rooms showed signs of mold and smell of mildew.

The sheets feel wet and everything smells musty.

The windows, balcony, furniture were left FILTHY!

Just a disgusting experience especially the food.

Smells like sewer really bad and rooms have fallen apart. Beware.

but there are paint chips, chipped wood moldings,cracked tiles, chukcn out of concrete walls, bathroom fans that don't work, etc.

Even the Saxaphone was dripping in sweat which was also not appealing.

Smoking locations are not wheelchair accessible and too remote.

very stiff and questionable and the seafood smelled like it had been left out in the sun for days.

Very warm and smelly elevators, lacking any form of ventilation.

Food lacked flavor, floor in room got my feet dirty when walking barefoot on first day of stay, sometimes it smelled like sewer water in our room and on the atea by the pool, taxi service super high compared to local rates

but since there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the room felt musty and a bid humid.

They shouldn't put the smoking station by the swim up rooms that people pay more money for!

but our neighbor smoked on his balcony, there was someone by beach washrooms smoking, guests on ground floor with pools attached smoked in their pools and a few poolside smokers trying to be sneaky.

We'll just open the balcony door and enjoy some fresh air since the room was musty smelling anyway.

We took part every day - margarita putting, Aqua Bingo at the pool bar, movie trivia in the pool, black Jack, Board Games gone Wild (Pictionary, Charades and Headbands - super fun), yoga on the beach, and ping pong tournament.

And let's not forget the poolside bar that serves up a great mix of local and international cocktails - perfect for watching those unforgettable sunsets.

Of course we spent many evenings at the outdoor bar with Alex learning about mixology to create several new favorite drinks.

The 2 pools (one which is very small) and swim up bar were nice and had great views.

Our apartment had a fully stocked kitchen, a two-person shower, a huge jetted tub, washer and dryer, comfortable bed, fully living room, dining room, and snack bar.

Particular thanks to the bar staff, though!!!!

The most attentive and courteous staff, whether at the bar, the restaurant, the front desk or concierge!

If you see Angel (remember, the g is prounced more as a English y in Spanish) at the swim up bar in the pool, tell him the Yankee Traveler gave  him a big thumbs up.

Amazing resort, the restaurant and bar staff Luis,  Alex, and Osorio are so friendly and attentive.

Angel and Rufino at the pool bar, great drinks and we’re able to keep up with the crowd and the orders.

The staff from the front desk, concierge, pool bar, restaurant, housekeeping, groundskeepers.

You can get room service, eat at the pool, restaurant or bar with the same great food and service from 7am to 10 pm daily.

Angel down at the pool bar was great as well!

The resort is a minute drive from Jazz on the Rocks, which is a pretty nice restaurant and jazz bar overlooking the sea.

We really enjoyed the bar side arts & crafts with the gentleman that covers the post  I can’t remember his name

Angel and Angelo at the bar learned our orders and were always on top of making sure our pool drinks were full.

If you want a nice quiet beach with calmer waves and no vendors go to Chileno beach which is maybe 10min down the road.

Chileno Beach and Santa Maria Beach are minutes away.

We went to Chileno Beach and enjoyed it greatly.

We did both and on different days went to Lover's Beach, San Jose, Chileno Beach (great snorkeling and the hotel will provide a snorkel mask,

Chileno Beach and Cabo Pulmo provided awesome beach experiences and we will definitely return to both locations.

The restaurant is overpriced and no even tasty.

Paid over 1,000.00 for mold in the shower, bathtub and kitchen sink.

although Cabo is getting mre expensive each year.

There is only one restaurant at the resort and 2 bars, quality of food and drinks below average and expensive for what you are getting.

There is one restaurant on the property…great food and amazing service (a little pricey).

Restaurants there are over the top pricey and the food does not justify this.

For groceries to avoid the restaurants, there is a La Comer close by (5 USD for Uber each way).
