Air conditioning was not the issue, so I responded back to them again and they told me I needed to contact the hotel directly.

Worst experience, the room was hot no air conditioning in the property and when we went for lunch and came back the batteries to the door were dead so we had to wait for maintenance almost a hour and all they said was sorry about that.

The front desk stated they had no A/C in the building!

The room was over 80 degrees in the room and when I called down to ask if the A/C worked they said they don't have A/C and nobody does in the mountains.

No hot water, no a/c, musty concrete dust smell throughout the hallways which is probably a health hazard.

Under construction and no air conditioning.

When we were checking in we were informed the hotel had NO Air Conditioning.

That the entire hotel did not have air conditioning.

The hallways are in horrible shape, the hotel smells musty, there is no A/C, the check in location is a far distance from the entrance, the rooms are located a far distance from the check in, the employees are useless and apathetic, and the rooms are dark, outdated, and in disrepair.

I reversed and went back to the desk to tell them I was not checking in, that there was mold in the air, filth on the surfaces (I have photos), and no air circulation or A/C.

This is needed as it’s humid   With Climate change and not so cool in Summer. Wish I could upload the gross photos just say everything and our room made us check out within minutes of checking in, room musty, open window, screen looked as if someone tried to break in, air cleaner/purifier had gray greasy dust on front vents (why did they need a air purifier???)

We discovered that the building had no air conditioning.

Hilton doesn’t tell you that there is NO air conditioning in this hotel.

Come to find out the hotel was built with no air-conditioning.

No AC no pool or hot tub on pro on ptperty Place is Dplus at best.

Also, there is no AC in the entire hotel, and we were not informed of this until we walked into our room!

Poor parking; one elevator; must change elevators and walk down long hall to reach assigned floor.

Had to take two or three elevators to hunt for your room!

After getting on the singular elevator for the all of the hotel guests and employees, we  arrived on the sixth floor our room was filthy and the bathtub would not drain.

Construction mess, no amenities available and the elevator doors were blocked by fire safety doors.

A young man escorted me towards our room and while in the elevator, we met another patron who informed us that he was headed to the desk for a refund, as there was no A/C in his room.

Getting to our room took two elevators and a long walk through a urine smelling hallway to get up to our floor.

What they don't tell you is:
-You have to move your luggage in and out of plywood floors and ramps, down halls with torn up carpet and walls, up one elevator, move to another elevator, and around a stinky maze.

Our room was so far away from the lobby that is took two trips, two different elevators, and about an 8 minute stroll down a very long hallway to get our luggage to our room.

Trying to move around contractors with ladders and paint to get on the only elevator in.

Finally, we were told to take multiple elevators and cross the building to other elevators to our room.

Filthy carpet through the service hall way to get to the elevator to the makeshift lobby.

Loud trucks outside ur window and disgusting elevator.

We had to take three elevators to get to the 8th floor room, and two to go back to the pool.. and you have to go outside to go back inside to the parking garage.

This property needs a Renovation the only plus is its cross from the peak nine chair lifts

I figured it out and used a combo of stairs and elevators and it wasn’t too bad.

The people were friendly, exceptionally helpful, rooms were clean, could not have asked for a better experience after the disaster next-door at the Doubletree.

The only reason I did not rate this hotel a 1 is because the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room itself was clean.

but every day I came back from skiing to a super clean room.

The room was far from being clean and the table in the room was not cleaned so we know it wasn’t disinfected.

Otherwise the room was clean and the beds and linens were very nice.

There were no heating instructions and I microwaved one for 1 minute and ended up with a gooey mess.

There was a fan that blew right in my face the whole night on my side of the bed.

Our AC unit was broken so it was terribly hot all night in our room.

I saw some past review reported that their room didn't have air conditioning; ours had a wall unit, so perhaps that's not in every unit or it's a newer addition.

The people here are so super friendly that all the other little things like small, oddly configured bathroom and the noisy heater can all be overlooked.

Also, the heater made things a lot worse.

I even heard our neighbors fan when it was being used.

Although the staff was very nice, the beds were not comfortable and the air conditioning wasn't working correctly.

They told us to open the windows and plugged in a portable a/c unit - the next day we went out and came back to a hotter room - they moved us into a standard room which was a lot smaller

Couldn't regulate the temperature on the AC.

There is no microwave and the heating/ac unit is blowing on one bed so something to divert the air would be nice.

but the rooms are too small and the ventilation / heating / cooling was woefully inadequate.

Our AC did not cool well The bathroom was very small.

The only drawback were the a/c and the shower.

While it does not offer air conditioning, I thought it was a great place to stay.

Because the traffic outside is very noisy, we turned the air conditioning on at night, it is super noisy also!

The room was very clean and as advertised on their web site.

The room was clean, the continental breakfast was truly convenient, and the staff was accommodating.

The rooms were clean, the lounge area was nice and had board games for us to enjoy.

From the time you walk in and greeted by the friendly front-desk staff, to the clean rooms, well-stocked breakfast and restful relaxation in the hot tub, the Breck Inn is our go to for overnight and multi-night accommodations year-round!

No overnight staff, room was not cleaned during our stay, bathroom smelled of urine, drunk guest yelling in the hallway at 2am with no staff to intervene, I would think this would be a safety violation.

although seemed to get crowded and maybe needed a little maintenance on the chemicals.

The danish they offered for breakfast were stale.

The only drawback was the age of the building- unpleasant smell in the hallway.

The over-use of scented cleaners and glade plug-ins to mask odors was also a big turn-off - if you have any type of allergy this is not the place for you, as these perfumed products made me and my wife feel positively sick.

When we walked in it smelled like Christmas and there were complementary cookies, wine, milk, and cheese and crackers in front of the fireplace.

Thankfully, the second room did not smell like cigarettes.

but the pot smoke from the next room, coming through the air system,  was intolerable.

The front lobby had a weird smell and I heard all kinds of complaints from other guest.

The only negative is the weird orange smell.

Also the hot tub was a disappointment; there was a very foul odor when we were there.

Also, there were people standing right next to the hot tub smoking, which was disgusting.

This morning the guests next to me had their cigarettes going, packs on the wooden railings with their lighters and were putting their unfinished lit cigarettes on the wooden railings.

The toilet in our room was broken, the drain in the tiny tub was broken as well, and the faucet in the sink was dripping.

but it did not work properly, and the room had a bad odor.

--  The continental consisted mainly of stale donuts and whole milk.

The location is convenient to town, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced, an it’s right across the street from the lift.

but nonetheless a charming, warm and clean room.

Affordable, well-appointed rooms directly across the street from the snow flake lift and the four o'clock run makes it practically ski in ski out.

The cons are: wierd furniture layout, dark & worn out and not welcoming carpet, poor light above sink in the bathroom, no separation of balcony space from other tenants, no A/C; cigarete smoke odor despite this was a non-smoking room; and  not comfy gummy polyfills pilows .

If you've never been you may have breathing problems are get tired fast because of the altitude .

The garage was filled with an awful smell and the noise was very loud.

but the smell came back the following morning.

The bedding smelled like nicotine. Gross.

Lodge is a little dated and pillows were uncomfortable.

When we arrived what we got was two twin beds and a queen which was very uncomfortable for three adults and two kids so we left a day early and lost a couple hundred dollars on the deal.

The Friday night was fine, the only thing I might suggest is that they put something  more comfortable to sit on the deck than those very uncomfortable cheap plastic chairs.

The loft queen bed was very uncomfortable.

My only 2 complaints would be that the pull-out sofa bed had a very uncomfortable and sagging mattress and there was a large group staying at the lodge during the same time and they pretty much took over the public space on the main level.

The only weakness in our stay was the bed, which was pretty uncomfortable- as well as no cleaning/ maid service in the summer.

but the loft area still holds the heat and makes it slightly uncomfortable on a warm summer nights.

The only negative while staying there was that I found my bed to be uncomfortable.

they could have just folded them and put underneath so that they didn't have to waste water washing so many hand towels.. we really liked that they had plastic cups in the room that said for "pool/hot tub".

if you're not acclimated to elevation, drink water.

They had an instant heating water heater so we never ran out of hot water.

The kitchen sink has a loud buzz every time you run the water.

When we called the front desk, the woman at the counter said the heat couldn't be out if we had hot water.

One sad note: one of the three condos we rented didn't have heat or hot water for the last night we were there!!

Only complaints that prevents 5 stars is that the hot water for showers wasn't hot enough and room service seemed to miss us.

One issue towards the end of the trip we had to switch rooms due to a water leak.

The only con was the poor water pressure in the shower.

With no A/C in the facility, the room stayed pretty constant at 84-85 degrees - even with the fan in the window, so the nights were very restless.

Also in the Summer they do all the repairs at these resorts so they had an exterior painting project happening including balconies that wasn’t supposed to affect occupied units.

It was like our whole building was running on a 50 gallon home water heater.

The room heater was on without capability of adjusting temperature so it was extremely hot.

The "new" studio room had a defective thermostat and old baseboard heater (we could not shut off the heat; had to turn off the breaker), a broken curtain pull, and non-working lights over the stove, with one of the light covers just hanging down above the burners.

Downsides: it was high 70s into 80s when we were there and it was impossible to get room to cool down since there was no AC.

The portable fans they provide were covered in gray lint and dirty.

Old, dirty, no maintenance, they said that we habe a higly rated unit and didn’t take phots to show you the joke that was this appartment.

The setup of our particular unit was not ideal.

The only reason I took off a star is because the unit we stayed in needs some refurbishment.

Our 1 bedroom unit had granite countertops.

However, the unit did not have a place to store clothing or groceries.

We stayed there until the 3rd day when the heating broke (and it was -30 deg C outside) and it took 2 separate calls to reception to get an engineer to investigate, at which point we were moved to a different room up on the 8th floor.

Finally, the thermostat did not seem accurate at all as even when turned off the room was so hot we needed the porch window to be open to feel comfortable in the bedroom.

Another criticism is the lack of air-con.

We didn't find out until check-in that there was no air conditioning in the guest rooms, and a blast of heat hit us as we opened the door.

Our room was so outdated and worn and smelled  dirty.

The overall experience is just a bit dated, would have given.

The carpets were stained and filthy, there were no blinds or curtains in one of the bedrooms or the lounge, appliances were broken or dated, a wall light was hanging off in the bedroom, mouldy ceilings, etc etc  the list is endless.

The beds in the second room are absolutely terrible, worn out.

No maid service, very poor conference food, worn carpets and furniture around the whole resort…no balconies for hotel rooms.

Hallway carpets worn. The steam room smelled terribly of mold and my daughter said "That's because of that black mold in the lights!"

This is a tired and dated property that is in a great location.

Not to mention the rooms were overly priced for how out dated they were.

We pulled all the linens and saw that the mattress was dated 2009 (with several later dates hand-written on it.

The hotel was a super-spreader environment, masks were not enforced (in-spite of the summit county surge and mask mandate around the holidays) and you have to navigate a series of elevators and hallways to get around in close proximity to others not wearing masks.

Broken fixtures, worn out furniture, dirty carpet, old and peeling paint, etc.

Rugs in hallways worn, mold in the bathrooms, peeling paint.

In general, resort is in need of some upgrades, carpet, decor, blinds, tile, lighting, etc is definitely dated.

Gloomy, dated decor, rooms did not get clean entire stay, broken elevator, poor Wi-Fi connection, ski lockers with out options to dry your boots.

Access to trails and outdoors (for summer), very friendly and professional staff, family friendly, big building with a lot of amenities, clean rooms, dog friendly, good access to downtown (or use of a shuttle).
