The hotel is quiet and conveniently located between Boston and the metro west suburbs which suited us perfectly.

I’m sure service and amenities will improve as Boston recovers from the pandemic.

I definitely recommend this property if you want a Boston experience for a cheaper price.

As a frequent business traveler to Boston, I mostly fly or take the train,

I’m considering re-booking for our next stay near Boston, instead of a previously chosen hotel.

Picked this hotel and not Boston because I did stay here years ago and remembered it was free parking.

The rates are reasonable for the Boston area.

It's right around the corner, has easy access to the highway if you want to go into Boston or travel around the area and the staff is wonderful.

Boston Marriott Newton is a perfect Hotel away from home.

We have stayed at this hotel for about 40 years, each time we visit Boston.

The Boston Marriott Newton, while essentially a standard business/conference Marriott Hotel, is a good place to stay when wanting a hotel outside of the downtown Boston or when doing business/visiting friends in the Newton and nearby areas.

Every time I come to Boston area with kids or without this is the hotel to stay

but has been refurbished and is a very good option on the western edge of Boston metro area.

It’s a good 30min from downtown Boston.

So to kick off, visiting Boston area for a business trip and stayed with this hotel for 10 days.

We had an overall pleasant stay at the Boston Marriott Newton while visiting family during Christmas.

Bottom line: If staying just outside Boston is in your plans, look no further than the Marriott in Newton.

Great property, excellent staff good location for Boston area business.

but also for visitors who need a cheaper option than downtown Boston.

I took away 1 star due to some minor issues - housekeeping barged in twice despite having the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door, including at 9 am on check out day (check out is noon).

but the door to the balcony was so loud opening and closing it was super old.We actually left a night early wasn’t to happy😞.The room was also so far away from the elevator with my son it was to much

The window in the hallway just outside our door was also covered with spiders and webs.

I can also be on the noisy side with slamming door and hallway conversations.

2) Add pressurized door closers and felt pads on room doors to keep them from slamming.

I didn't like the big, slow, revolving door,

At check in they asked where we wanted to be placed and we said high floor with a view, what we got was dark, dank room on the 3rd fl (of like 7 or 8)

I should have known when the door didn’t automatically latch that we were in a bad place.

I could swear o heard someone getting water-boarded in the room right next door.

Rooms are not sufficiently soundproofed, so you possible to hear next door conversations.

Minus a star for housekeeping coming into our room despite the privacy sign on the outside of the door when we left, came back and the room was made up and the sign was inside the room.

The bathroom is tiny, with a hard to close sliding glass door and the door into the bathroom can’t be more than 2’ wide.

The first was a knock on the door at 8:45 AM on Saturday morning from housekeeping wondering if they could clean the room.

I should not have to hang a "do not disturb" sign on my door if I want to sleep past 8am on a holiday without housekeeping relentlessly banging on the door.

Oh - on our last morning there, housekeeping knocked on our door at 7:30am.

The bathroom had a frosted glass door with no lock .

However, there was no screen door, so in the summer is risking mosquito bites or have no access to the lovely balcony.

Management relocated us in the middle of a teen soccer tournament team area whose players noisily roamed the hallways without supervision until 10 to 11pm slamming doors and yelling at each other.

They slipped a note under our door that they tried,

Good service, easy free parking and take out lunch at the on site restaurant was quick and reasonable.

The hotel has a nice lobby and plenty of free parking (gated and your room key gets you in and out).

Parking was free and Newton is close to everything.

Free parking on premises, large parking area.

Parking was free, which considering the location and size of the parking lot should be the case.

Also parking is free vs. the $50 rates in-town.

There's a couple of hotels in the Boston suburbs that are still not aware that wifi and parking are free literally everywhere else, and this Marriott is one of those places.

Parking is free and there is plenty of it.

This is a very nice, updated Marriott property. You can see  I-95 (in the distance) from the upper floors, and it is a short ride (under 10 minute drive $6 parking or free hotel shuttle) to the T (Riverside Station / Green line / 30 minute ride to downtown.)

Free parking and free wifi for our group were a bonus to our out-of-town guests.

The service is good, the beds are comfortable, and I love the free parking.

This hotel also had free wifi and free parking.

This is an older hotel next to a beautiful lake with plenty of free parking.

Come to find out, the hotel offers free parking for one night along with free WiFi.

Parking is free at the moment (gates are up at all times and paid parking is NOT in effect).

Check-in is on the ground floor from the parking lot which is actually the third floor (hotel is on a hill).

the parking lot is very empty which tells me they don't have a lot of other guests.

We paid extra for a river view, half of which was of the parking garage, fronted by  concrete that was crumbling off the building

There was one bathrobe for two people.

And speaking of parking --I  know there have been some complaints about being charged for parking here.

If I had I realized sooner I should have just stayed in the city because either way I was paying for parking.

The rugs could be vacuumed more regularly, and it's ridiculous that they are charging for parking and wifi.

Honest feedback to management: increase and include parking rates in your nightly rates and do not charge extra.

Considering rooms go from $200 and up a night, it is disgusting that they would also force you to pay for parking (there is no street parking or any other place to park).

Was also told in advance that parking was normally $11 a day,

but there was an exit closer to the room to access the parking lot.

If you are going to stay, you will park, therefore let's find a fee to add.

The second item was that we were charged to park.

The layout of this hotel is weird and confusing; the lobby is in the 4th floor which is considered ground floor since it is at the same level as the parking.

however all parking that I knew of was in a big open lot, without supervision or any obvious regulation, so I don't really know how they keep track of this stuff, if they do at all.

I was surprised to find that they charged $10 a day for wi-fi usage and $11 a day to park your car, if you had one.

Huge parking lot with no valet and they charge for parking.

Although it does takes only about 20 minutes to drive to Boston, the parking there is pricey and hard to come by.

Checked in and still no mention of a parking fee.

Additional downside for this property: they charge for WiFi, despite the size of this property the restaurants and bars close at 11:30 and there is no room service afterwards, and nothing in the area delivered, they also charge for parking.

but they started a parking fee a few years ago and then dropped it but now it's back - not good!

I didn't like that you have to pay 11 dollars to park the car and wifi is extra!

No one even inquired about a car at check-in, or mentioned that a parking fee was being assessed. Awesome!

Their parking fee is just a major rip off.

I asked if they randomly pick and choose who will be charged parking?

Unfortunately there is a fee for parking and for wifi.

but I found the parking fee of $11 per day a bit steep for an open parking lot (considering that most guests will have a car, this fee seemed unnecessary).

They do charge for parking ($11/day) and for Wi-fi which is ridiculous!

Didn't have to pay for parking (I guess because it was the weekend).

But the price was reasonable and my regular hotel was booked.

Steer clear from this lousy hotel unless you want to pay for a view and look at a giant party tent, and forget it if you want an actual internet connection.

Checked in after 4pm, and the room type we reserved, with a balcony, which costs extra as other reviewers have noted, was not ready yet.

It's a suburban  hotel that's well located and not too expensive.

Overall unless you stumble on a rate at this hotel that really can't be beat, stay elsewhere.

The river view was cool and was nice for a change (I booked late and my company was ok with the additional expense of the room with a view).

Overall we really did not have a single complaint - rare when staying in a reasonably priced hotel.

I called reception and was moved to a more modern room which was certainly better.

Our organization had 3 teams of girls staying at the hotel.

Although the hotel was pretty empty everything was totally up to Marriott standards and the staff was super nice despite 12 months of Pandemic. .

Still, $14,00 is pretty reasonable for a huge parking lot on site with a security attendant, and easy in and out access.

The gentleman at the front desk was the type of person who exemplified hospitality.

Also on the good side, the staff at this property is and always has been genuinely pleasant, helpful, and professional.

During my stay, I needed to do laundry and when I asked the girl at the front desk where the laundry room was, she gave me 2 boxes of laundry detergent.

The internet did not really work and kept dropping.

I will not stay here again if I can avoid it since I need the wifi for my work.

Charging for internet in a hotel that is over 200 bucks a night is rediculous.

Plus wi-fi costs extra which seems standard nowadays.

I have stayed at the Boston Harbor Hotel for work probably 5 times.

Great location for exploring much that Boston has to offer.

Great location for visiting Boston attractions and restaurants!!

Overall, fab choice to stay while in Boston.

Excellent and  elegant hotel right at Boston Harbor, beautiful rooms, great restaurant with American-Bostonian food.

The Boston Harbor Hotel which envelopes the prime real estate of Rowes Wharf on one side and is open to the city on the other, combines elegance with a scenic and convenient location.

In the current times, when a lot of hotels have gone downhill and shamelessly so ( please see my review of Intercontinental Boston) , it is a refreshing change to have hotels like Boston Harbor Hotel where there is pride in service and guests are treated well and provided a classy experience.

We were returning from Maine and needed a one night stay in Boston before heading back home.

We stayed 3 nights at Boston Harbor and had a great stay.

I think this is my new favorite hotel in Boston!

Its worth a visit, given its centrality, if you are going to Boston for the first time.

Decided to book Boston Harbor hotel for a family visit.

My only real complaint was the spa and fitness center was closed for renovations and it really is irritating when hotels don’t make you aware of that when booking a room as we booked directly with the hotel,

Could have closed the foyer door (which I never managed to do) and almost had a suite.

Parking was included (under the hotel) as was breakfast the next morning (which was excellent).

A lot can be said about the customer service when a hotel has to deal with an unexpected and unhappy customer and in this case, the mistake was largely mine.

We had many other choices and we made a mistake choosing this terrible venue  .

My first mistake because a cab takes about 6 minutes.

The great location was made better by our room on the 15th floor.

Our room was cleaned daily, turn down service at night and we loved the daily chocolate chip cookies!!

We were there 7 nights in a terrific harbor view room.

but the views and room were worth every penny.

We have a room booked in a few weeks time and can’t wait to make more memories and see this humble doorman who excels at his profession!

There are 22 one bedroom suites, 102 superior rooms, 4 large sized individual rooms and a monstrous John Adams Presidential Suite offered as the room inventory for the Boston Harbor.

The first time we stayed here, we had a Harbor View Premier room.

Great staff; excellent rooms with harbor views, or city views; and we love the Boston Wine Festival that it hosts every year.

The rooms were clean, comfortable the view was tremendous and the housecleaning,I say Thank you.There was NO faults about this hotel.

Though our room category is generally upgraded when booking through Amex we did not expect or particularly want an upgrade,

I came back to the room one day and found a bookmark placed on top of the book i was reading at my bedside table.

The beds are comfortable the room clean and the bathroom clean and big.

My 6 year old mentioned that he liked chocolate chip cookies at check in, and when we got back to our room later that day, they had cookies and milk waiting for him!

although the bathroom was a little small given the overall size of the suite.

Stunning view of the harbor, Logan Airport and water front where Anthony’s Pier Four used to be.

The hotel was clean, staff super friendly, location and views couldn’t be beat!

The Rowes Wharf Sea Grill, the excellent on-site restaurant, is delicious and beautiful with an awesome outdoor terrace overlooking the water.

The food in the Sea grill was without a doubt the BEST.

We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the harbor and their suites are very nice.

We entered our room, and found that it was the exact same room we had booked, the deluxe city view room.

but were upgraded to a larger city view room upon arrival.

The restaurant, Sea Griile, is adequate at best.

The location is great and the views are spectacular!
