but a 5 star it was not), there was no sink in the toilet, the air conditioning was pathetic and we were incredibly hot most nights, and the decor was ok but very corporate business like, not comfy boutique as they promote.

Room did not have working air conditioning.

There A/C in room 507 was not working making it very cold and uncomfortable in the early morning.

I think the AC not working might be a common thing.

So my consolation prize was they gave me a fan for my room, are you serious. .

We had a little problem with the AC in our room

However, I will say that the thermostat wouldn't let me blow cold air into the room and it was a bit hot for my liking.

but AC was same, funny enough the hallways were freezing and the rooms were really hot.

Rooms are fine, noisy air con,  dry average food and absolutely nothing going on in the hotel - completely soulless.

The room is hot because the air-conditioning seems to be controlled and the layout of the room is weird.

That said, the AC unit in our suite did not work at all.

but without any air circulating in the room, it was stifling.

The only problem that we had was that our room sometimes got a little hot at night (not sure if the AC was working 100%).

So I paid 200 USD for a room without heating system, and Bogota’ at night is cold.

All in all, I’d recommend staying at the hotel a/ if they’ve got the aircon in the rooms working and b/ you’re not planning on eating there.

I'll start with my only negative and the only reason this hotel didn't get an "Excellent" rating - the A/C doesn't go any lower than 23 degress Celsius (or 73 degrees Farenheit).

Wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit and a huge range of prepared dishes and drinks.

The front desk and breakfast wait staff is great as well.

The breakfast was really good and there was at least one different dish each day.

They were going to charge us for the transportation despite the information stating transportation with a minimum of two night stay.

Hotel charges surcharge of mostly 40% of the room rate.

Will start from that they charge you every cup of water even 😅😅 asked many times from the room service for bringing me more water because in the room they live you water from 200 ml and thats all for all day!

With all that said, we were charged $466.00 USD per night for the B.O.G.

but regardless I was fully charged for the additional day

When checking out they used my card for those extras plus the also charged another $700 dollars for the complete stay again and now they will not return the funds.

No offer was made to at least remove the dinner charges (which were about $60 for two people) from the bill which I think was the least they could have done considering the fact that I was so ill feeling.

Odd system we found in the whole country when using the lift as you have to use your room key card and can only access your floor and the public floors.

Afterwards, I discovered that they charged me for "Hotel Insurance".

but still they tried to charge us 20k peso’s per evening for hotel insurance.

The one negative was observing  the female who appeared to be in charge of the dining room at breakfast (on Friday, 12/1) yelling at 3 staff members, not far from our table which resulted in them walking around with tears in their eyes.

One could ask for eggs any style at no extra charge.

although being very picky some details weren't properly checked : we had a badly leaking plug, only one set of robes & slippers and charging for the coffee in the room seemed somewhat churlish given we were in Columbia !

When we protested the charge was immediately removed from the bill - so they just tried an extra charge

The only problem we had was that during that week they were remodeling the restaurant at the lobby (a micheline star chef will be in charge of the restaurant) and every night the smell of paint was very strong.

We had prepaid through Expedia so these charges were obvious to us.

We didn't like how often room card claims it is 'exclusive' and maybe related to the attitude of the staff,

The decor of the hotel is elegant, yet not too loud - there's a good balance between style and functionality when it comes to the rooms.

My husband and I went over Christmas break and the streets were decorated with lots of colorful lights.

He recommended a nearby (ceviche) restaurant that had good food & atmosphere.

However the signs of design over practicality were there.

The service, environment, decoration and food are perfect.

It is a beautifully designed hotel—spacious and very comfortable rooms (and a particular shout-out for the amazing shower).

There should be a soundproofed door separating the two.

Highly recommend it for anyone staying in Bogota and wanting to be looked after 

Only reason why It is not getting 5 stars is because I booked a massage and the spa door didnt close and could hear all the gym noises , not relaxing at all.

The only downside is the door to the bathroom which is made of glass; fine if you’re traveling solo

The door is floor to ceiling and made of opaque glass, so if you are lying in the bed, you get to watch your companion  use the toilet through the glass.

The rooms are a little compact especially the door getting into the toilet.

Glass doors to the toilet is not our favourite

So modern that there was a glass door into the toilet.

Some people might find it a little odd that the toilet is in a separate little room next to the door to the room itself, totally separated from the rest of the bathroom.

Always opening doors and greeting me when i came back from a day on the city streets.

We had to keep our room door open so that we could breathe.

The entrance to the hotel was blocked twice as the door opener was not attentive.

This being said, I had a few problems:
--Housecleaners banging around in room next door starting at 7:30 in the morning.

When we arrived we learned, that the door to the emergency stairs are closed.

however, literally next door to the hotel there were Military Police with simi automatic weapons on post at all times.

The toilets, with their simple glass doors which had a gap between door and frame were strictly for couples who are comfortable being in earshot of each other.

but could be improved in terms of functionality and privacy (my view from the window on the courtyard was probably not as good or interesting as the view the people in building next door had!)

As you can see, my friends hand was badly wounded with his struggle to open the door and get out of the place.

Why am I mentioning so much about the shower door?

Service was simply outstanding from the front door to housekeeping - not in your face

What's good - location (close to zona rosa and excellent for the nightlife of Bogotá).

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel with an exceptional staff and service that is centrally located.

Location is perfect, close to everything.

We loved the hotel's location -- an easy walk to some excellent neighborhoods and restaurants, including Parque 93, and an easy 25-30 minute taxi or uber down to the historic parts of the city.

It was easy to call Uber's to this location and it's right by a shopping mall for any needs that you have.

I was able to walk to many restaurants and felt safe doing so

A limited breakfast buffet was provided with our hotel room so we enjoyed fresh food breakfast every morning.

but it closes at 4 pm, just as you’re getting back from your day out, because it interferes with the rooftop bar.

The hotel is located on a major street that is within walking distance to upscale restaurants, shopping and some of the best rooftop bars, such as the hotel itself, Apache and Andres.

Rooftop bar was lovely, with seating around the pool as well.

The food is terrific and the rooftop bar is a perfect place to end your day.

The bar upstairs had an amazing view to the city and the drinks were top of the game.

Rooms are quiet despite of having an active and nice rooftop bar.

Rooftop terrace bar, Apache, not connected to the hotel (so bill is not chargeable to the room).

I would stay there again, hoping next time the rooftop bar is open!

When I return to the city I will definitely stay here again and hopefully get a chance to enjoy the rooftop bar as well.

It has nice design rooms, even we had a small one, it was really comfortable, mini bar is nice and free, decoration is entertaining.

There are also two bars in the rooftop of the Hotel where a lot of locals hang out.

High quality soap, heavy rain shower (amazing water pressure really helps save time), included mini bar, automatic blinds, animal-shaped drawer pulls and fun communication make this the place to stay.
