Like the big mirror in the lobby, kept as found after being damaged during the 2nd World War.

The shower doors allowed some water to get onto the main bathroom floor

Some ceiling fittings in my room and the bathroom were hanging down and/or not working.

Only the shower could be much more sized.

Why I do rate only with 4 points? The restroom is very very small and for showering you have to wait 3 minutes for warm water (this can be faster and more ecollgical)

Some of the rooms have tiny bathrooms, som I will recommend asking for a room with larger bathroom, even if it cost a tiny bit more.

The room and bathroom were small and the view from the room was poor.

The bathroom had one of the converting showers, where you're essentially showering on the bathroom floor.

The toilet in the bedroom had problems with the flush so we were immediately moved to another room.

The larger, deluxe rooms are more western in style (bathtub, toiletries, etc.).

but nothing is for free, except the small toiletries in the bathroom.

Could be better: The room was extremely little, and the bathroom it is terrible with a imposible,( foldable)  shower.

No toiletries; just the liquid soap/shampoo dispenser attached to the wall.

Very small rooms, especially the bathroom which to me is their major drawback.

However, bathroom seemed not to have been renovated.

The dinner and breakfast at the hotel was good.

Meals was delicious!Every day something new based on seasons or region products.

So a buffet breakfast, afternoon cake and tea, and a buffet dinner!

but good dinner buffet at night included in roomprice, as is afternoon coffe&cake.

At dinner there is a buffet with salad, soup and one warm dish.

But the staff is top notch.I stay here quite often during worktops, and opted to stay here on a vacationtrip also.The breakfast and dinner are included, and if you need to leave early you can get a go-bag with a light breakfast.

The evening meal and breakfast were perfect

Dinner, which was included in the price was delicious- chicken with mushrooms, and a variety of salads.

The free dinner and breakfast were great and very substantial.

Whether you were eating their delicious free meals or just wanting a place to relax outside of your assigned room you could do so and not be perturbed by the hubbub of others coming and going.

This is de 7th year we stay at the Clarion Collection Hotel Grand and we have found that the poor quality of breakfast and dinner are increasing every year.

Dinner and breakfast were excellent, and staff was very friendly.

They have nice food both for the evening meal and for breakfast.

This hotel was excellent value, as the rate included a buffet dinner as well as bed and breakfast.

In addition to the rich breakfast, we found out that included in the room price you also can have a waffle break in the afternoon and a somptuous dinner buffet.

Usually don't have time for breakfast in the morning so rather a evening meal when I arrive.

There were waffles (make it yourself) with condiments in the afternoon, a generous fresh dinner buffet, and an equally beautiful spread for breakfast.

Also enjoyed the nice breakfast and dinners they served.

They had a very good selection of healthy food, fruit and salads for evening and breakfast.

And the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good location in the city centre, next to a mall. Many food and beverage options around, including Peppe’s Pizza next door (if you want pizza!)

The location is fantastic- right in the heart of Bodo, close to the airport bus stop (although you can walk to the airport in 15-20mins), ferry terminal, shops and restaurants.

Location perfect, right in the middle of city center.

Parking was free during week end, and the location of the hotel makes it an ideal starting point to wait for the ferry to the islands the day after.

Very good hotel located in the middle of town and very close to the harbour if you need to catch a boat.

The hotel was conveniently located in the city center and easily reachable by foot from the airport.

Its central position and interesting history is a bonus.

The bathroom was small as the room itself with shower.

but the bathroom was tiny, in fact one had to "fold in" the shower doors to be able to sit on the toilet.

but think the room was to small, to small bathroom, and when you order de luxe room, you expect moore than average.

I had some troubles with flying into Bodø and upon arrival (a day later) the staff had included a very nice welcome note added to my hotel key card.

Helpful, polite and smiling staff,  both in the reception, the restaurant and wherever you meet them!

The room was also extremely noisy and the window was broken!

We arrive to the hotel late at night and are directed to a room which is freezing because the heater has been turned off for quite some time, and to top it off the window doesn't close properly so we were in for a cold, windy and noise night.

We couldn't see anything from our window.

even though I had both windows open in order to cool the room down.

We had a small window looking next room and inner court.

The biggest knock for me was that, in a city that has 24 hour sunlight, they didn't have blackout curtains.

We found the room to be too hot and dry even with the window open as the duvets are really warm

Our only problem was that both times very early in the morning we were woken up by loud noise from digging and other building machines from the road works under our window.

If your room have the window to the Main Street be ready for some noise.

though the midnightsun was shining the curtains made the room dark and cosy so that I had no problem falling asleep.

On the negative side:
With full time sun during summer months, it would be nice to achieve total darkness with the curtains

The blackout lining of the curtains helped to cut down on the light from the midnight sun, much to my husband's relief.

Our room was quiet, facing the interior; in fact the breakfast room was right out our window – a little strange.

Long waiting time for elevators and a very limited selection of TV-channels, also none english or german speaking channels.

The elevators can easily get crowded, so I recommend finding the stairs if you can handle it.

First off, the elevator situation is beyond unacceptable.

We wished for a room far away from the elevator, we got a room 2 meters from the elevator.

Bathroom dirty, hallway was never cleaned, elevators had absurd graffiti.

but take the elevator to the 17 floor, breathtaking.

Three lifts which were busy all the time.

Next to the elevator is also quite noisy.

but who cares when you are stuck in an elevator half the day?

The key cards are tricky and the elevators are very slow and kind of freaky.

The only negative thing was that one elevator did not work and it was too mang people for the two working ones.

The elevators can get quite slow during busy times when the conference rooms are being used for Christmas parties.

Lifts with top to bottom mirrors covering the walls and spacious corridors.

and may disturbe a god night slep in a comfortable bed.There is no possibility to access the different levels by stairs, so patience is required while waiting for the few elevators.

Three lifts, much to little to manage the needs around meals etc.

Everything uncomplcated, staff extremely friendly and competent, room big and comfortable, view incredible.

Hotell Havet is a very nice hotel, The staff is professional and friendly at the same time and they make me feel comfortable during my time in the hotel.

Friendly staff helped me with A3 copies in the reception.

Again, in our whole Norway trip as in other parts as well, the place is clean and the Staff are all friendly and helpful.

The hotel is 2 kms from the airport so you can walk from the hotel to the airport..The staff is friendly,and helpfull ., Breakfast- and lunchbuffet,was quickly filled when a dish was emty

Just as well as we ended up with a fire escape view and an extremely loud generator outside our room.

We had the Do Not Disturb sign on our door and were awakened by a knock.

Good sleeping quality was disturbed by two narrowest thin blankets (why they put them on a king-size bed?).

no noise dampening or insulation, soft furnishings so its very loud.

The only problem is that the hotel is popular so noise can be a problem.

The list of problems with the room is long: the room was very dusty- quite visible on the blank, black surfaces; the ventilation system was very noisy and went on 24/7, without the possibility to turn it off; the mattress had a big stain of blood at head level; one lamp was not working; the sound isolation was horrible- I could hear people talking, doors closing and steps outside in the corridor; the bathroom floor was ice-cold.

From the outside it looks pretty plane and boring.

but also the sights and sounds of the harbour.

The ferries that stays over night have the engine on all the night so it is not very convienient to have the window open for fresh air.

but it was late and would have been disruptive.

Only problem was the working boat just below us, which had its engines running all night, noisy and sending out diesel fumes.

During wind storms there can be a pretty loud whining noise in the columns in the walls on the top floors(check the weather).

The only drawback was the dinner which was hold at the restaurant which because of its acoustic was a bit noisy.

On the negative side :Other staff behind the bar were speaking very loudly to each other.

The walls seem pretty thick so you can't hear the person next door.

We have a wonderful room on the sea side which was great for watching harbor activity.

Good standard, nice view from the rooms overlooking the harbour (not so much those on the east side).

The room were clean and the view from my room was beautiful.

We even had a fantastic sea view from our room -

Great location at the seaside with fantastic views from my room and from the restaurants.

The outlook from our room on the 6 th floor across the harbour was fabulous - there was all sorts of boat activity over the 4 days we were there that kept us happily amused.

Do not order roast board.Sky restaurant view is great,but there is items missing from stock.So check first before ordering any food or drink.15th floor room view to the ocean was spectacular and breakfast was great.

but this one have an amazing sea and Mountain view from the room and it gives me senseation.

I had a sea facing room quite high up and the view was amazing.

The hotel is close to the sea and my room had a great view.

We did transfer down to the other hotel, the receptionist was highly embarrassed and was totally professional.

For those/us hard of hearing, fire alarms could become fatal, as hotel personnel did not walk to all meeting rooms to get us out.

A very good overall impression - kindly and helpful people   -a nice room with a wonderful view over the harbor together a good sleep with an excellent breakfast - I will be there next time I visit Bodø

They have rooms with bathtubs and the nicest staff you’ll ever meet.

The staff at the hotel was polite and nice to me during check-in and chekc-out and I received my receipt on e-mail as requested.

Very nice and very clean hotel with great staff, good breakfest and spectacular view from restaraunt on top of the hotel.

The staff would also give us some extra time to check out.

If you are welcomed by sweet Maud in the reception, you are more than lucky!

The top floor restaurant was just the place.

On top of that, they gave me a room on the top floor facing a blank wall.

Dinner on top floor requires a reservation and glad we went.

ROAST restaurant on the top floor gives you an incredible view of Bodø city on one side and the islands and ocean on the other side!

The front desk person who speaks Spanish and the Zimbabwean server at the top floor restaurant seem like five-star hotel workers.

Very central and the 17th floor top bar with an outside walkway is the place to be to spot the midnight sun!

The hotel feels new and modern, and the views from the top floor is just excellent.

Had a one night stay on a good high level with an amazing view from my room, over the harbor and the ocean, and I could also view the Northern lights from my bed..;)

Great bar and restaurant on the top floor with a outdoor viewing point which was popular to see and take pictures of lady Auroras dance over the city.
