Long waiting time for elevators and a very limited selection of TV-channels, also none english or german speaking channels.

The elevators can easily get crowded, so I recommend finding the stairs if you can handle it.

First off, the elevator situation is beyond unacceptable.

We wished for a room far away from the elevator, we got a room 2 meters from the elevator.

Bathroom dirty, hallway was never cleaned, elevators had absurd graffiti.

but take the elevator to the 17 floor, breathtaking.

Three lifts which were busy all the time.

Next to the elevator is also quite noisy.

but who cares when you are stuck in an elevator half the day?

The key cards are tricky and the elevators are very slow and kind of freaky.

The only negative thing was that one elevator did not work and it was too mang people for the two working ones.

The elevators can get quite slow during busy times when the conference rooms are being used for Christmas parties.

Lifts with top to bottom mirrors covering the walls and spacious corridors.

and may disturbe a god night slep in a comfortable bed.There is no possibility to access the different levels by stairs, so patience is required while waiting for the few elevators.

Three lifts, much to little to manage the needs around meals etc.

Everything uncomplcated, staff extremely friendly and competent, room big and comfortable, view incredible.

Hotell Havet is a very nice hotel, The staff is professional and friendly at the same time and they make me feel comfortable during my time in the hotel.

Friendly staff helped me with A3 copies in the reception.

Again, in our whole Norway trip as in other parts as well, the place is clean and the Staff are all friendly and helpful.

The hotel is 2 kms from the airport so you can walk from the hotel to the airport..The staff is friendly,and helpfull ., Breakfast- and lunchbuffet,was quickly filled when a dish was emty

Just as well as we ended up with a fire escape view and an extremely loud generator outside our room.

We had the Do Not Disturb sign on our door and were awakened by a knock.

Good sleeping quality was disturbed by two narrowest thin blankets (why they put them on a king-size bed?).

no noise dampening or insulation, soft furnishings so its very loud.

The only problem is that the hotel is popular so noise can be a problem.

The list of problems with the room is long: the room was very dusty- quite visible on the blank, black surfaces; the ventilation system was very noisy and went on 24/7, without the possibility to turn it off; the mattress had a big stain of blood at head level; one lamp was not working; the sound isolation was horrible- I could hear people talking, doors closing and steps outside in the corridor; the bathroom floor was ice-cold.

From the outside it looks pretty plane and boring.

but also the sights and sounds of the harbour.

The ferries that stays over night have the engine on all the night so it is not very convienient to have the window open for fresh air.

but it was late and would have been disruptive.

Only problem was the working boat just below us, which had its engines running all night, noisy and sending out diesel fumes.

During wind storms there can be a pretty loud whining noise in the columns in the walls on the top floors(check the weather).

The only drawback was the dinner which was hold at the restaurant which because of its acoustic was a bit noisy.

On the negative side :Other staff behind the bar were speaking very loudly to each other.

The walls seem pretty thick so you can't hear the person next door.

This hotel has rooms that are clean and in good condition.

The room were clean and the view from my room was beautiful.

Fresh, clean room, really taking advantage of the great views.

Clean rooms, made up every day, fresh towels if you leave the used ones on the floor and they let you reuse them if you let the hang on the hook.

The room I was in was very clean and overlooking the sea.

The room was clean and well equipped, with a lovely shower and dispensers for hand soap, shower gel and shampoo.

We have a wonderful room on the sea side which was great for watching harbor activity.

The outlook from our room on the 6 th floor across the harbour was fabulous - there was all sorts of boat activity over the 4 days we were there that kept us happily amused.

The front desk person who speaks Spanish and the Zimbabwean server at the top floor restaurant seem like five-star hotel workers.

Very central and the 17th floor top bar with an outside walkway is the place to be to spot the midnight sun!

The hotel feels new and modern, and the views from the top floor is just excellent.

Had a one night stay on a good high level with an amazing view from my room, over the harbor and the ocean, and I could also view the Northern lights from my bed..;)

Great bar and restaurant on the top floor with a outdoor viewing point which was popular to see and take pictures of lady Auroras dance over the city.

Took the trip to the sky bar with some friends.

Very clean and the hotel offers a bar/restaurant, bowling and other entertainment.

although the bar other than Sundays is a great place to view the harbor in Bodo and enjoy some special cocktails.

It was not possible to sit outside at the bar or the Restaurant after 17:00.

The roof bar at floor 13 has great views overlooking the harbour / ocean and the in house restaurant serves great breakfast.

If we stay in a different hotel, though, we will definitely return to the Radisson Blu for the bar and the restaurant!

The bar Top 13 at the top of the hotel has stunning panoramic views.

On the other hand, the roof bar offers great views of the city and breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is situated next to the harbor and is steps away from the top restaurants and bars in Bodo.

The 13th floor bar offers a great panorama view over the entire city.

The reception, common areas, restuarant, and the rooftop bar has been refurbished along with most of the rooms.

The bar on the Top floor give a fantastic view over the city of Bodø and souroundings.

Fabulous setting amazing sky bar with a great cocktail list especially the Arctic Summer and delightful staff!!!!

Carpet is a bit worn and just an outdated feel.

Carpet was garish colors, dated, and worn.

The room was a little dated, with worn, red/orange carpets and green walls,

Carpet on the floor, not good, everybody knows that this will give lots of parasites in it!!

The carpet in one of our rooms was really threadbare.

In fact, it had a lovely stained carpet and a bathroom with a shower curtain

Awful fitted carpet in my room, and a bathroom with very low ceiling over the tub - just enough headroom to take a shower without crouching.

They were both about the same size, the furniture was that same bright particle board and the carpet was in desperate need of a cleaning.

My room had wall to wall carpet, which I mean is totally unecessary (the dust from it just annoys my nose).

And this also meant that the noise from the traffic and building site were a little intrusive
- the pillows had a weird smell, reminiscent of hamster's cage; I guess the ingrained sweat of generations of visitors. The Ugly
- the carpet (and I appreciate that this is a matter of taste,

Room 1120 had worn down carpets, old furniture,

The hotel needs a bit of renovation, carpets are worn out.

Ask the waitress to have them redone and asked the chef to go easy on the heat od the fat.

I really enjoyed the interior design, would love to find it in other destinations as well.

Next time we go to Bodø, we will probably try to find a hotel with more charm,

The hotel is mostly in the style of the 90th,

Rooms are spacious with a modern interior.

The rooms are very modern and nicely decorated.

Hope they will do something with lunch buffet ( nice trendy and tasty food)to match the breakfast .

I had a girlfriend visiting me for a couple of weeks & took her for cocktails in the bar after a meal, fantastic ambience , excellent choice of drinks & super friendly staff. The girl from Macedonia (Sasha i think her name was??)

The atmosphere is excellent, and so is the staff to.

This was in stark contrast to the 2nd floor breakfast restaurant which was in top shape and provided a good breakfast.

All the rooms we stayed in were nicely decorated, the beds were very comfortable, and the bedding crisp and fresh.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are refurbished and the general manager personally called me to ask what happened.

although similarly compact, had a nice walk in shower and other stylish fittings.

Our room had a delicate interior with earthy and calm colors.

The main difference apart from the size of the room was that there was a mini fridge in this one, and as I had not got breakfast included in the room rate I was able to buy a yoghurt and some milk and store it overnight.

Nothing to say about food, cause i didn't pay for it.

But no compensation - continued to pay for the suite.

We paid during the check in and were asked to pay again during the check out.

Be prepared to pay for parking behind the hotel separately per night (300 norweigen kronos).

An advice for guests who arrive by air: The walking distance between airport and hotel is only about 15-20mins, so one can save the horrendous prices for bus (55kr) or taxi (150kr according to the hotel reception) by taking a walk.

but didnt try it because I found it very expensive.

We had a car, and to park in the lot beside the hotel would have been a bit pricey, so we parked on the street across from the hotel - free overnight, and very inexpensive for the hour we needed to feed the meter the next morning.

We had an early checkout - the hotel gave us on request a breakfast-bag without any additional costs.

The fancy Asian restaurant on the ground floor (Ohma) looked incredibly pricey, even by Norwegian standards!

but it's still more expensive than what we're used to in the USA.

The prices are a little on the steep side

but if price were not an object, I'd stay here more often.

Similarly disappointing was that parking was extra and fairly expensive.

It is better to find nearby on-road parking to save costs (see my reply in the Q&A section).

But compared to the price I paid it is not good value for money.

all night was noisy air ventilation in all floors.

I didn't see any mention of that on the hotel's Tripadvisor page and complained to reception that having something to eat in a quiet space was the main reason why I booked a room.

Resulted in loud noise in the room, seriously sounded like a hammer was going through our wall, and chemical smells which gave me terrible headaches.

There are renovations going on in these days, so expect some noise during the daytime.

Noise from the bathroom, probably the ventilation system.

Avoid the floor near the bar on top of the hotel as you can hear the noise coming from the top.

The shopping mall outside can get noisy late at night

I had a single room and was very surprised to find that it was very well laid out with all the features that one might only expect to find in a larger city.

Due to the last few days were Norway has been extremely hot (even up north) people were out all night partying which was REALLY noisy having to "sleep" with the window open.

Lots of noise from the street behind the hotel in the night, presumably guests from nearby bars.

There is currently quite a lot of construction on the roads surrounding the hotel so keep that in mind if driving, plus the noise too.

Great location - easy to walk to the wharf, local shops, restaurants, cafes and sights easy to get to within the city.

It is also in the middle of the city center and close to shops and restaurants.

There was a mini mart right outside of the hotel to get water and snacks.

Very easy to find and many restaurants around.

but cocktails and service…… , forget it

The buffet looked very attractive with loads of food.

Breakfast extensive and very tasty & healthy, dinner also very good with good selections of food and drink, will definitely stay again.

On Tripadvisor, the hotel stated it offered room service, so I booked a room.

.best breakfast salmon I have eaten anywhere!

Loved this hotel,  breakfast was really good and its worth it to pay 150 kr for an international cuisines.

If you like eating seafood and good fish this is the place to come.

She is exceptional -- arranging dinner reservations, taxis, answering every question with a smile, recommending things to see and do.

The hotel is very conveniently located to dining, shopping, and the ferry to Moskenes.

There is a small shopping section inside the hotel’s building which includes a restaurant, a barber, and a Narvesen newsagent store.

Lunch was also fine, escpecially the desserts.

Stayed one nigth and was very satesfied, The staff was Great and The room very clean.

The room was clean and had a nice view despite not being on the seaside.

Our hotel rooms were very clean and efficient, the buffet breakfast was fantastic.

I Stayed there for 6 month due to work and I can say the staff are super friendly the rooms are clean and the view to the sea side unimaginable.

My room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff personable and helpful on transportation, hair salon recommendation and late checkout to coincide with my ferry to the Lofoten Islands.

the most important for me in a hotel room is a clean bed.

(first time since leaving Harwich). staff polite, room clean and well equipped, if only all hotels were like this:-)

We will be definitely staying at a different hotel in Bodø the next time we visit, and we will think twice before booking with Scandic in other cities.

To come back for 2024 to see European city of the culture.

The city is nice, and what could be better than haveing a super comfortable room nearby center?!
