AC noise in suite sounded like a jet engine.

A/C system was difficult to maintain noise levels.

Our cooling system was awful, it was a super loud fan that came on and off all night long for like 5 minute spurts.

4) our room had a moldy smell - no exhaust fans in the bathrooms.

At night, the air conditioning would make a loud clank every time it would cycle on, keeping us awake most of the night.

A/C vent in ceiling did have water dripping from the vent.

There was also one room that had no AC the first night.

After returning from dinner in the replacement room we turned the AC on because it was a little warm and the mildew smell permeated through that room as well.

However, room a/c and shower water temperature left some to be desired.

No sleep because of the loud air conditioner, no working bathroom in my room so had to go to the hotel lobby for bathroom from 3rd floor.

The only issue I had with the bathroom was the lack of exhaust fan to prevent mirrors from steaming up.

but the only issue was there was no air extractor in the bathroom so if you take a shower it gets all foggy unless you leave the bathroom open.

The bedroom was quite, until the AC went into standby mode then it is very noisy, especially hearing the water leaking.

However, I am not a fan of the new heavy comforters currently used in many hotels, same case here.

Ventilation fans should be installed in all bathrooms.

The air conditioner was so loud it kept me up most of the night.

The AC did not seem to be working as well.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfy too.

Only received room clean upon request as per the pandemic changes.

I found the room to be very clean and the staff friendly and accommodating.

But once located, the hotel was clean, the room clean and comfortable.

The elevator from the parking lot smelled like something had died in it.

The first night the room smelled like old cigars, there were no towels and the tub had yellow water or pee in it, called front desk to be blown off and a couple if towels brought to my room.

The sides of the tub were over caulked and moldy.

Disgusting especially when you step into it every time you get out of the shower.

but even in the second room, they all seem to smell the same.

The iron had plastic residue and we could not use it on our clothes.

Elevator was nasty and had not been cleaned recently.

I should also point out that the room was smelly and not “deep cleaned,” as they claim.

I had to switch rooms because the first one had a mildew smell.

The hotel sprayed some type of air freshener in the room and the smell was so intense we could not actually stay the night there.

Also we noticed when we first got there that the room smelled a little funny and with like a humidity and moldy smell.

I told them we were leaving because of the smell and that I would take the matter up with Hilton.

but our room smelled of smoke or some other lingering odor.

The carpet was covered in stains, the bed wasn't particularly comfortable and the comforter was disgusting.

From there on
Including creaky old elevator ,broken pool gate and cigarettes all around pool area.

checked out early and realized very quickly (within one  hour of departing) I left my very expensive Bose wireless headphones and charging block in bathroom outlet.

- Plenty of amenities in the room
- Location is fantastic, depending on what you're on HHI for
- The price was 1/2 or more of pretty much any other option on the island when we traveled
- Water was hot and pressure was good

THE MEH:
- The furniture is dated and a bit tired.

They also had Clorox wipes, custom hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, laundry basket, ironing board, step stool if need help getting in/out of the shower.

though the shampoo and soaps were more low-end and typical.

We appreciate the paper towels in the sink area!

Plus the room was filthy with pubic hair all over the bathroom.

The tub's water would not fully shut off and was constantly leaking.

The curb appeal is disasterous (pressure wash, litter pick, and paint your property).

The toiletries provided by the hotel had been previously opened which is gross.

It took the hot water for the shower about 3 minutes to heat up.

I did not eat there,

but the reason for this was that there was no stopper in the sink.

Even with do not disturb sign on the door.

so the employee eased the door open to a room and found it to be vacant.

The 3rd day she came to the door and yelled to get out of the hotel.

After my wife got back to the room, within minutes the woman who claimed to be the manager/ owner knocked on our door and told us to leave the hotel.

Has double rooms with french door , if want privacy.

But once inside the rooms it was extremely outdated, the door jams are rusted , not very clean, there was a very loud dehumidifier in the room which went off about 4 AM and made a loud beeping noise.

The only thing I would deduct points on would be for the bathroom because of a few yellowish and black stains on the walls and door.

Asked for a non smoking room which had a sticker on the door saying that.

However, what we did find was that the hotel really was more of a motel with the doors to the rooms opened to the outside, rather than rooms located inside of the hotel entrance.

Noise increased around 1:00 AM with screaming, laughing in room next door as well as outside.

Housekeeping was kind of annoying and knocked on the door to ask about towels

There was a blood smear on the bathroom door and the desk chair was filthy with sorays of questionable material.

Either by staying out late on the exterior stairwell and having a good old time, or by running up and down the breezeway knocking on our door at 2 in the morning.Housekeeping failed to show up one day.

While we were out of the room one day housekeeping came in and never shut our door all the way when they left so our door remain unlocked and a bit open all day until we came back.

This was after he had to put a wire under door to open it.

Room was standard except it's not convenient to close the bathroom  door because it swings  in directly  in front of the toilet.

Didn't like that the doors all opened to the outside.

.This hotel is out dated which you will know as soon as you open a door.

This is a good bargain if you’re just looking for a clean room in Hilton Head with a good A/C

I can't believe there exists such a kind and very thoughtful manager who really treats you like her own guest.I am proud to support this hard working team and am happy to stay in such a clean room.

I asked for a 2 bedroom non smoking room.

The only thing that I saw was the floor could have been cleaned with clorox a little more

but it definitely needs some upgrades, for example pipes under the bathroom sink are not cover exposing somebody in a w/ to get burn, there are no shower bench or chair for somebody that is unable to stand up during a shower, this is not in compliance with ADA.

In 5 minutes a handyman could drill a hole in the wall and run a drain hose outside so it doesn't have to be emptied.

just not a fan of smelling weed from other visitors and there is nothing the hotel could do about that.

The moldy smell is present when you walk in the rooms.

Once we entered our room we immediately noticed a horrible mildew smell throughout the room.

When the Wedding Block price was set up, the understanding that was given to the parent in charge of setting up the wedding block, a price was set per night.

OVERCHARGE for room that is small and uncomfortable.

Only problem I had was that most of the Hampton Inns now have places to plug in your phones for charging.

To my husband and I, We think the owners have the wrong people in charge of running their property.

The outlet malls are just a few miles towards Hilton Head, bring your credit cards and spend the day.

The only problem was that our credit card was charged above the room rate and taxes upon leaving.

We had been charged for our one night stay,

When we checked in the employee at the  front desk swiped my card and it didn't take, he swiped it three more times and it finally went through, when I got to my room I went on line and checked my card and there were 4 holds on my card for $275 each.

but add this hotel to those facilities who now not only have instituted a 24 hour cancellation policy - but are pre- charging your room to your credit card before arrival.

Marvin was a credit to the hotel -- he fixed a broken TV and fixed a leak in the hallway.

At check out, the desk clerk added the room charges three times to our credit card.

We did have one issue where our room cards stopped working

Due to what happened, the GM did not charge us for that evening.

Don't make your customers walk over to the other hotel to see if a room is available, walk back to your desk, and tell them we are checking out and I want full credit back.

One of the workers who had been on the elevator casually leaned over looking at my room number on the key card and said yea you are on the right floor, we are working right outside your room.

Our bathroom had an odor to it that wasn't exactly clean

but wasnt nasty, guess she had things on her mind.

The previous reviewer said that the hallways smelled like smoke.

however this time we checked in and was given a room that smelled very badly, a bleach type odor.

Different from previous occasions this time we experienced smelly bath tub; no telephone signal; intermittent cable signal; dirty furniture; sticky carpet; broken bed sheets; clothing left behind from previous guest; dirty elevator floor.

I did not feel overly confident that the drain was a priority.

Room smelled too musty and Housekeeping needs to vacuum more thouroughly and clean surfaces better.

The pastries were stale, the orange juice really watered down.

twice we had small problems the first time the TV kept shutting off by itself and the bathroom light in the shower was burned out.

We were assigned room 205 and the mold smell was so strong that we asked for another room.

So that I may go back down to the lobby to request a different room.

We even asked them to review their surveillance footage and they said they wouldn't.

We had very hard feather pillows even after I requested foam pillows.

I asked for another room and was given a handicapped room that was dirty and where the deadbolt lock would not work.

At 8:30 AM, there were no large plates, no forks, no orange juice, no pastries, no bagels and two slices of bread.s  Also, there was never an apology as we asked for each of these items.

Requests are not followed, asked for feather free pillows, manger had to come get them of the bed ,leaving one feather pillow still on the bed,I was told housekeeping had left for the day so that's why the feather pillows where still on the bed really?

Although they are renovating some parts of the property, our room accommodations were as we had requested.

Despite my request to be away from the elevators I was given a room right in front of the elevator.

I asked if she wanted to see my "friend" and she said, "not really"

I spoke up and asked about that, having retail and financial business experience I know this shouldn't happen.

😐 They did not accommodate for any early breakfast for PI family day, like we originally requested.

In the morning, we asked for a 3 PM late check-out to accommodate the day that started before 6 AM. Despite a platinum status, the hotel refused the request stating, "You'll have to pay."

When she finished, she curtly asked 'Name?'

We asked for a different room on floor two or three away from the elevator.

No towels - no wake up call as requested.

I Still had to wait in line with luggage in hand to check in and was asked for ID and credit card.

Everything I requested such as extra towels and etc.,  it was all ready.

We check in in this hotel on sept 18 2019 to attend our son graduation in Us marine we get a suite room and another room for my kids as soon as i went to bed i smell something stinky and i find out the bed and the whole sheet is full of urine and terrible smell.

Although it smells musty and is dated, it livable.

Once we checked in and smelled how musty it was, and how damp the air felt we wanted to turn around and leave.

after seeing two rooms, horrible smells, and violent allergic reactions (running noses, burning throats and eyes) after just a few minutes, we decided to stay somewhere else.
