There was a free breakfast in the morning.

Breakfast was good and we had a good night's rest to proceed on our way.

however our room was right next to where they prep for breakfast and they start pretty early.

Hotel was clean, check-in was super easy, room was clean and comfortable, bed was great and loved that we could have moving air circulating. Breakfast in the morning was back-to-full hot and cold options (thank you!)

When the Wedding Block price was set up, the understanding that was given to the parent in charge of setting up the wedding block, a price was set per night.

OVERCHARGE for room that is small and uncomfortable.

Only problem I had was that most of the Hampton Inns now have places to plug in your phones for charging.

To my husband and I, We think the owners have the wrong people in charge of running their property.

The outlet malls are just a few miles towards Hilton Head, bring your credit cards and spend the day.

The only problem was that our credit card was charged above the room rate and taxes upon leaving.

We had been charged for our one night stay,

When we checked in the employee at the  front desk swiped my card and it didn't take, he swiped it three more times and it finally went through, when I got to my room I went on line and checked my card and there were 4 holds on my card for $275 each.

but add this hotel to those facilities who now not only have instituted a 24 hour cancellation policy - but are pre- charging your room to your credit card before arrival.

Marvin was a credit to the hotel -- he fixed a broken TV and fixed a leak in the hallway.

At check out, the desk clerk added the room charges three times to our credit card.

We did have one issue where our room cards stopped working

Due to what happened, the GM did not charge us for that evening.

Don't make your customers walk over to the other hotel to see if a room is available, walk back to your desk, and tell them we are checking out and I want full credit back.

One of the workers who had been on the elevator casually leaned over looking at my room number on the key card and said yea you are on the right floor, we are working right outside your room.

The complimentary breakfast  is wonderful!!!!!!!!! !

The location was convenient -- not far off the interstate and close to Hilton Head, SC.

We were very unhappy to learn that, when Hampton advertises that it's "pet friendly," it means that every room is available for pets.

The suite we stayed had an adjoining door if you booked two rooms for a family.

Shower caulk is nasty looking, big chip in tub.

We had to put up with a lawn crew who mowed and blew debris.

When asking for the manager Rita Pamler, she was always busy with a meeting only to see her outside talking to someone and smoking.

Our bathroom had an odor to it that wasn't exactly clean

but wasnt nasty, guess she had things on her mind.

The previous reviewer said that the hallways smelled like smoke.

Our bathroom actually smelled and perhaps new cleaning supplies should be tried.

however this time we checked in and was given a room that smelled very badly, a bleach type odor.

Different from previous occasions this time we experienced smelly bath tub; no telephone signal; intermittent cable signal; dirty furniture; sticky carpet; broken bed sheets; clothing left behind from previous guest; dirty elevator floor.

I did not feel overly confident that the drain was a priority.

Room smelled too musty and Housekeeping needs to vacuum more thouroughly and clean surfaces better.

The pastries were stale, the orange juice really watered down.

twice we had small problems the first time the TV kept shutting off by itself and the bathroom light in the shower was burned out.

We were greeted by Maya who is a delightful person.

Oakatie Ale House had a nice outdoor bar and a competent menu.

Upon checking out, the GM did modify our bill, giving us one night free ($205).

checked out early and realized very quickly (within one  hour of departing) I left my very expensive Bose wireless headphones and charging block in bathroom outlet.

- Plenty of amenities in the room
- Location is fantastic, depending on what you're on HHI for
- The price was 1/2 or more of pretty much any other option on the island when we traveled
- Water was hot and pressure was good

THE MEH:
- The furniture is dated and a bit tired.

They also had Clorox wipes, custom hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, laundry basket, ironing board, step stool if need help getting in/out of the shower.

though the shampoo and soaps were more low-end and typical.

We appreciate the paper towels in the sink area!

Plus the room was filthy with pubic hair all over the bathroom.

The tub's water would not fully shut off and was constantly leaking.

The curb appeal is disasterous (pressure wash, litter pick, and paint your property).

The toiletries provided by the hotel had been previously opened which is gross.

It took the hot water for the shower about 3 minutes to heat up.

We walked to pick up thai food, which was delicious.

Excellent heating and air, the room was very cleaned and sanitized, all good working facilities, i had a very comforable stay, also thanks to great  management for providing coffe and muffins i felt more than welcoming.

I stayed this place last year when they offering full breakfast.

Last year, the breakfast buffet had more than the usual pastries/muffins/breads, dry cereals, instant hot cereals, eggs, & sausage.

The breakfast was awesome, very plentiful with a lot of variety.

Outside of the great personalities (from the ENTIRE staff, even the young ladies up early cooking breakfast, literally with a smile to greet anyone who walks in to have breakfast) they will do what they can, to make your stay at the hotel as pleasurable and comfortable as possible.

I checked in and got to my room and they were very nice and clean!

My stay here was great my Room was clean and and had plenty clean linens and the Wi-Fi works great.

so the employee eased the door open to a room and found it to be vacant.

The 3rd day she came to the door and yelled to get out of the hotel.

After my wife got back to the room, within minutes the woman who claimed to be the manager/ owner knocked on our door and told us to leave the hotel.

Has double rooms with french door , if want privacy.

But once inside the rooms it was extremely outdated, the door jams are rusted , not very clean, there was a very loud dehumidifier in the room which went off about 4 AM and made a loud beeping noise.

The only thing I would deduct points on would be for the bathroom because of a few yellowish and black stains on the walls and door.

Asked for a non smoking room which had a sticker on the door saying that.

However, what we did find was that the hotel really was more of a motel with the doors to the rooms opened to the outside, rather than rooms located inside of the hotel entrance.

Noise increased around 1:00 AM with screaming, laughing in room next door as well as outside.

Housekeeping was kind of annoying and knocked on the door to ask about towels

There was a blood smear on the bathroom door and the desk chair was filthy with sorays of questionable material.

Either by staying out late on the exterior stairwell and having a good old time, or by running up and down the breezeway knocking on our door at 2 in the morning.Housekeeping failed to show up one day.

While we were out of the room one day housekeeping came in and never shut our door all the way when they left so our door remain unlocked and a bit open all day until we came back.

This was after he had to put a wire under door to open it.

Room was standard except it's not convenient to close the bathroom  door because it swings  in directly  in front of the toilet.

Didn't like that the doors all opened to the outside.

.This hotel is out dated which you will know as soon as you open a door.

The staff was friendly, hard working and good at their jobs.
