There was a free breakfast in the morning.

Breakfast was good and we had a good night's rest to proceed on our way.

Breakfast had a good selection and different hot foods everyday.

however our room was right next to where they prep for breakfast and they start pretty early.

When the Wedding Block price was set up, the understanding that was given to the parent in charge of setting up the wedding block, a price was set per night.

OVERCHARGE for room that is small and uncomfortable.

Only problem I had was that most of the Hampton Inns now have places to plug in your phones for charging.

To my husband and I, We think the owners have the wrong people in charge of running their property.

The outlet malls are just a few miles towards Hilton Head, bring your credit cards and spend the day.

The only problem was that our credit card was charged above the room rate and taxes upon leaving.

We had been charged for our one night stay,

When we checked in the employee at the  front desk swiped my card and it didn't take, he swiped it three more times and it finally went through, when I got to my room I went on line and checked my card and there were 4 holds on my card for $275 each.

but add this hotel to those facilities who now not only have instituted a 24 hour cancellation policy - but are pre- charging your room to your credit card before arrival.

Marvin was a credit to the hotel -- he fixed a broken TV and fixed a leak in the hallway.

At check out, the desk clerk added the room charges three times to our credit card.

We did have one issue where our room cards stopped working

Due to what happened, the GM did not charge us for that evening.

Don't make your customers walk over to the other hotel to see if a room is available, walk back to your desk, and tell them we are checking out and I want full credit back.

One of the workers who had been on the elevator casually leaned over looking at my room number on the key card and said yea you are on the right floor, we are working right outside your room.

We were left wondering if the towels we had used to shower were clean - just disgusting!

Loose bathroom tiles, rusted tub drain, slow draining tub, musty / humid smell in room, roach egg found on carpet.

Mold in bath; tattered chair; cracked sink; baseboard tile lying on floor; elevator area badly scratched; poor customer service.

Shower caulk is nasty looking, big chip in tub.

We had to put up with a lawn crew who mowed and blew debris.

When asking for the manager Rita Pamler, she was always busy with a meeting only to see her outside talking to someone and smoking.

Our bathroom had an odor to it that wasn't exactly clean

but wasnt nasty, guess she had things on her mind.

The previous reviewer said that the hallways smelled like smoke.

Our bathroom actually smelled and perhaps new cleaning supplies should be tried.

however this time we checked in and was given a room that smelled very badly, a bleach type odor.

Different from previous occasions this time we experienced smelly bath tub; no telephone signal; intermittent cable signal; dirty furniture; sticky carpet; broken bed sheets; clothing left behind from previous guest; dirty elevator floor.

I did not feel overly confident that the drain was a priority.

Room smelled too musty and Housekeeping needs to vacuum more thouroughly and clean surfaces better.

The pastries were stale, the orange juice really watered down.

twice we had small problems the first time the TV kept shutting off by itself and the bathroom light in the shower was burned out.

checked out early and realized very quickly (within one  hour of departing) I left my very expensive Bose wireless headphones and charging block in bathroom outlet.

- Plenty of amenities in the room
- Location is fantastic, depending on what you're on HHI for
- The price was 1/2 or more of pretty much any other option on the island when we traveled
- Water was hot and pressure was good

THE MEH:
- The furniture is dated and a bit tired.

They also had Clorox wipes, custom hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, laundry basket, ironing board, step stool if need help getting in/out of the shower.

though the shampoo and soaps were more low-end and typical.

We appreciate the paper towels in the sink area!

Plus the room was filthy with pubic hair all over the bathroom.

The tub's water would not fully shut off and was constantly leaking.

The curb appeal is disasterous (pressure wash, litter pick, and paint your property).

The toiletries provided by the hotel had been previously opened which is gross.

It took the hot water for the shower about 3 minutes to heat up.

but the reason for this was that there was no stopper in the sink.

They also have grab and go breakfast and the grounds are always clean with no trash in site!

We walked to pick up thai food, which was delicious.

Excellent heating and air, the room was very cleaned and sanitized, all good working facilities, i had a very comforable stay, also thanks to great  management for providing coffe and muffins i felt more than welcoming.

I stayed this place last year when they offering full breakfast.

Last year, the breakfast buffet had more than the usual pastries/muffins/breads, dry cereals, instant hot cereals, eggs, & sausage.

The breakfast was awesome, very plentiful with a lot of variety.

Outside of the great personalities (from the ENTIRE staff, even the young ladies up early cooking breakfast, literally with a smile to greet anyone who walks in to have breakfast) they will do what they can, to make your stay at the hotel as pleasurable and comfortable as possible.

After my wife got back to the room, within minutes the woman who claimed to be the manager/ owner knocked on our door and told us to leave the hotel.

But once inside the rooms it was extremely outdated, the door jams are rusted , not very clean, there was a very loud dehumidifier in the room which went off about 4 AM and made a loud beeping noise.

The only thing I would deduct points on would be for the bathroom because of a few yellowish and black stains on the walls and door.

Asked for a non smoking room which had a sticker on the door saying that.

However, what we did find was that the hotel really was more of a motel with the doors to the rooms opened to the outside, rather than rooms located inside of the hotel entrance.

Noise increased around 1:00 AM with screaming, laughing in room next door as well as outside.

Housekeeping was kind of annoying and knocked on the door to ask about towels

There was a blood smear on the bathroom door and the desk chair was filthy with sorays of questionable material.

Either by staying out late on the exterior stairwell and having a good old time, or by running up and down the breezeway knocking on our door at 2 in the morning.Housekeeping failed to show up one day.

While we were out of the room one day housekeeping came in and never shut our door all the way when they left so our door remain unlocked and a bit open all day until we came back.

This was after he had to put a wire under door to open it.

Room was standard except it's not convenient to close the bathroom  door because it swings  in directly  in front of the toilet.

Didn't like that the doors all opened to the outside.

.This hotel is out dated which you will know as soon as you open a door.

When I went to reception, she was rude aggressive and said that maybe I was the one smoking the joints.

but overall just so grossed out with how dated and dirty it was, I would not recommend staying here.

We bring Clorox wipes with us and make it a habit/rule for staying in any hotel or inn.

Oh, BTW, the room smelled terribly moldy when I checked in and the carpet was all ripped up in more than one place.

I asked for a 2 bedroom non smoking room.

The only thing that I saw was the floor could have been cleaned with clorox a little more

but it definitely needs some upgrades, for example pipes under the bathroom sink are not cover exposing somebody in a w/ to get burn, there are no shower bench or chair for somebody that is unable to stand up during a shower, this is not in compliance with ADA.

In 5 minutes a handyman could drill a hole in the wall and run a drain hose outside so it doesn't have to be emptied.

just not a fan of smelling weed from other visitors and there is nothing the hotel could do about that.

The moldy smell is present when you walk in the rooms.

Once we entered our room we immediately noticed a horrible mildew smell throughout the room.

my credit card was just supposed too hold the room only my card was charged before I got there.room was old and had a very musty smell tv too small only got a few channels parking was limited breakfast was decent checked out early because of the coditions.

AC noise in suite sounded like a jet engine.

A/C system was difficult to maintain noise levels.

Our cooling system was awful, it was a super loud fan that came on and off all night long for like 5 minute spurts.

4) our room had a moldy smell - no exhaust fans in the bathrooms.

At night, the air conditioning would make a loud clank every time it would cycle on, keeping us awake most of the night.

A/C vent in ceiling did have water dripping from the vent.

There was also one room that had no AC the first night.

After returning from dinner in the replacement room we turned the AC on because it was a little warm and the mildew smell permeated through that room as well.

However, room a/c and shower water temperature left some to be desired.

No sleep because of the loud air conditioner, no working bathroom in my room so had to go to the hotel lobby for bathroom from 3rd floor.

The only issue I had with the bathroom was the lack of exhaust fan to prevent mirrors from steaming up.

but the only issue was there was no air extractor in the bathroom so if you take a shower it gets all foggy unless you leave the bathroom open.

The bedroom was quite, until the AC went into standby mode then it is very noisy, especially hearing the water leaking.

However, I am not a fan of the new heavy comforters currently used in many hotels, same case here.

Ventilation fans should be installed in all bathrooms.

The air conditioner was so loud it kept me up most of the night.

The AC did not seem to be working as well.

He must be a Seafood expert chef! Delicious!

Price point was high, though, compared to places 10-15 minutes further away and breakfast was not free.

Only to to find the breakfast wasn’t complimentary and had to throw it out.

The staff and the breakfast are all wonderful at this hotel.

I was impressed with the restaurant, all the food I tried was delicious!

Had a delicious dinner (salmon and chicken cobb salad).

Continental breakfast would be $9 per day per person.

Breakfast costs extra, bar wines available in the evening (I’m assuming for purchase) and pantry with some items for purchase.

The gentleman working the breakfast was outstanding.

Pricey a la carte breakfast , free coffee in lobby in the am.

Even Diamond members only get $10 credit per day, enough for continental breakfast.

A boxed breakfast (choice of 5 items) was available for a minimal cost.

The hotel lobby was clean, the breakfast was good.

The breakfast was fine and plenty of room to sit.

Due to the pandemic the free to go breakfast is a brown bag  meal including a bagel, cream cheese, bottled water and a choice of an apple, banana or orange.

Our breakfast was to die for and our cook was the best his name is John and Tim the best front desk worker  was amazing and so nice and funny.

Staff was friendly, Andrew and Tash were lovely at the breakfast.

The Resturant was delicious for both Breakfast and Dinner.

For the price we paid and being Hilton HHonors, this property was old, damp and not worth the premium price paid for a Friday night.

The elevator from the parking lot smelled like something had died in it.

The first night the room smelled like old cigars, there were no towels and the tub had yellow water or pee in it, called front desk to be blown off and a couple if towels brought to my room.

The sides of the tub were over caulked and moldy.

Disgusting especially when you step into it every time you get out of the shower.

but even in the second room, they all seem to smell the same.

The iron had plastic residue and we could not use it on our clothes.

Elevator was nasty and had not been cleaned recently.

I should also point out that the room was smelly and not “deep cleaned,” as they claim.

I had to switch rooms because the first one had a mildew smell.

The hotel sprayed some type of air freshener in the room and the smell was so intense we could not actually stay the night there.

Also we noticed when we first got there that the room smelled a little funny and with like a humidity and moldy smell.

I told them we were leaving because of the smell and that I would take the matter up with Hilton.

but our room smelled of smoke or some other lingering odor.

The carpet was covered in stains, the bed wasn't particularly comfortable and the comforter was disgusting.

From there on

At the conference, the banquet food was delicious.

The food was delicious, golf, tennis, pickleball, pools, firepits, s'mores everything was thought out here.

The menu features local ingredients that are expertly prepared and presented, and the service is impeccable.

Dinner was delicious at Octagon with suggestions and excellent service from Arielle.

Breakfast was brought to our hotel room every morning and we had a great brunch on Christmas!!!

but I hope that the Montage try to add breakfast options for the families in homes in Wilson Village.

The restaurants were all lovely and the food was delicious.

I had a much needed relaxing spa treatment, every meal we had from breakfast to dinner was delicious, and our suite was so peaceful and absolutely stunning.

We enjoyed food at the pool (fore & aft), breakfast at octagon, dinner at the temporary food truck (not there every night), in room dining (surprisingly fantastic), and River House and Octagon.

Dueling pianos (these guys are great) to the thanksgiving buffet.

I would say that the breakfast at Octogons was the best.

I had lunch one day in the main restaurant in the hotel lobby, and me and some friends literally ordered turkey sandwiches with bacon.

Breakfasts, largely from Canteen in Wilson Village, were fine.

If you go, don’t miss out on S’Mores in the evening or grabbing a meal at the other restaurants – everything was really delicious!

all the ingredients that helped to make this the most perfect restful break.

We decided on Kids Night Out so my husband and I could take advantage of a peaceful non-rushed dinner in the Canoe Club (It was delicious as always).

Preordering our in room dining breakfast was a fantastic idea and the food was fabulous, especially the vegan burrito (and I am not even vegan or a vegetarian!).

We spent two nights at Montage Palmetto Bluff and had an absolutely amazing time for my wife's 40th birthday. We walked the property, took a tennis lesson, hit the spa, rode bikes, and enjoyed all that the delicious restaurants had to offer (possibly too much!)

It took 3 calls and a manger to finally get it corrected and taken off of the bill.

When you attempt to call the hotel, the phone is not answered promptly or sometimes at all.

Even calling shortly after concierge makes car ride to make minor time change in airport pickup (Montage doesn't encourage ubers in or out) results in an extra $50 fee.

but the woman was not open to calling the front desk to confirm our reservation.

The new GM has banned Ubers from coming down into the complex to pick people up so don't try to call one or schedule one for a return trip.

He hands me a list of 20 names, and I call each one-by-one.

A few things to call out:
-	Concierge: Laura and here team at the concierge were invaluable in making sure we had dinner reservations and never missed an opportunity to get a pin for our daughter’s lanyard.

I tried to get ahold of them via phone and email to book horseback riding prior to our stay and didn’t have success in a response until my travel advisor got involved.

So be ready to make a reservation when the concierge calls you  before your stay.

Only able to "leave and message" and someone would call me back.
