The beds were VERY comfortable (first good night’s sleep in over a week).

Despite having to close its restaurant as a consequence of the pandemic (further limiting the minimal dining options in Bluff), the resort still stands head-and-shoulders above all other lodging options in the area; it’s Olympic-sized indoor pool provides a welcome source of exercise, not to mention stunning vistas.

Free Breakfast had several choices -- juices, yogurt, eggs and cereals.

We had a nice complimentary breakfast the next morning too!

Breakfast was included in the room rate and had more than enough to fuel one's day.

Breakfast included, pool with hot tub, fridge and microwave and situated in a lovely little spot called Bluff, UT.

They have a free breakfast included, which is very generous, and tasty.

The owners could not be friendlier or more helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, wifi is good, and the included breakfast is particularly nice.

There is also a decent free breakfast available.

A good complimentary breakfast only made the experience that much better.

Continental breakfast was included, thought once again, pretty basic.

The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, there is a free breakfast, a nice pool, and the evaporative cooling is all one needs in the dry desert.

It was modestly priced for this area at about $100 per night with  continental breakfast included.

You get a free breakfast in the morning, so what else do you need?

The basic and free continental breakfast (coffee, yogurt, toast/bagels, cold/hot cereal) was enough to get you started.

They offer a free breakfast here to get you going on your way.

Breakfast was included in the $75 which was reasonable considering there was not much choice in the area.

We stayed on the ground floor and had a table and chairs right outside the door.

but our room was conveniently on the ground floor, and was large and comfortable.

The grounds had lots of trees, birdfeeders, picnic tables, and chairs.

The pool in the grounds is lovely on a hot afternoon, and the breakfast buffet is just want's needed: cereals, bread, fruit, coffee and tea.

Beautiful surrounding grounds of the lodge are a great way to start your day.

The rooms were a reasonable size and the grounds include a meadow area with plenty of wildlife.

Our room on the ground floor had all the facilities we required, kitchen, fridge etc.

There is also a nice walk down to the river directly from the Lodge, plus it's possible to have a good wonder over all the grounds.

In the daylight the grounds do have a slightly disheveled appearance (with miscellaneous police vehicles and tour buses parked there, and cattle grazing by the path to the river).

We use the great room for daily ground school.

The owners provide maps and books in the commons/breakfast room and often provide free programs by expert naturalists.

The building has a rustic look (lots of wood), and clearly caters to customers who enjoy outdoor activities--the main office has a well-stocked selection of maps and guide books for use by guests. A modest buffet breakfast (breads, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, orange juice,.  )

Both the fort museum and Bear Ears information center are close.

Reception gave us a warm welcome with info about places to eat in town.

A great continental breakfast is served in a large airy room next to reception where you can find every bit of information imaginable about this corner of Utah.

Tons of maps and guides and info about the area available dining room.

Many resource binders assembled over many years and maps are available.

They also host a huge collection of area maps and books for hiking and camping.

It had all sorts of local maps, books, pictures, etc--some on display and some within easy reach on bookshelves.

Clean rooms, maps and info about the area, nice local flavor!

With this info now available on the internet travelers can stay in more modern facilities.

The staff was fun with a great sense of humor and helped with lots of info to make sure we enjoyed our stay in Bluff - with a pool and pet friendly!

There is also a common room next to the lobby where the breakfast is that has a lot of books, maps, etc and travel ideas relating to the area of southeast Utah.

Maps and guidebooks are available for the area.

The lobby is chock-full of maps, guide books, and nature references for San Juan County.

But it has everything the outdoorsy business person needs; cleanliness, a great shower, WiFi, hospitable breakfast, hot tub, horse accommodations –  and a piano situated in a room of books and maps.

There is a trail down to the river, a pool and hot tub which we didn't not have time to enjoy, and a common room (where breakfast is served) filled with topo maps, books, and binders about the area.

You absolutely can't imagine the rich, wonderful conversations looking over the amazing map collection and sharing intel about slot canyons, hidden archeological sites, and some little-known wonders of the Southwest.

The owners have extensive local knowledge of what to do in the immediate area, including a large set of 3-ring finders with information.

We were able to get through on our cell in the middle of nowhere and a real person, not an automated machine, answered.

Call for a reservation there were no vacancy signs everywhere.

There are no in-room phones (my wife called to tell me something; the person on duty had to come to my room and offered to let me us the office phone) and there is no closet to hang clothing (there is a short bar in a corner that had 3 hangers).

but a little sparse (especially for those of us who think an egg or some meat is fairly important to calling it a breakfast!)

No amenities like telephone or wi-fi --  which is perhaps a good thing when getting ready for camping.

Not great no air conditioning small shower no bathtub stay only if you have no choice will definitely make reservations ahead of time to stay somewhere else  no phone or clocks in the room sleeping in the car would have been better

The process from calling and having our wish fulfilled: a kitchen in the room went fine and it was obvious that the manager had gone through some recalculating in order to please us.

If you want coffee makers, phone or in room hairdryer plus top of the range A/C - look elsewhere.

Perhaps more importantly (for us), the Hooks seem to be connected to everyone in town and know whom to call for every kind of need: supplies, shuttle drivers, car repairs, etc.

Here's what they don't have: no phone, no clock radio, no a/c, no shampoo or blow dryers.

The staff was more than helpful, and allowed me to call my husband from their phone when my cell phone provider did not work in this area.

To make a phone call, borrow the phone in the office.

There is no phone in the room, and two out of four lamps in the room did not work.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the very nice breakfast.

The motel room was clean, comfortable and had all necessary facilities and we had no issues apart from a little noise from neighbours which is outside the control of the hotel.

Room was clean and didn't show signs of bugs. 4.

Vintage motel in that the linoleum floor creaks, carpet is plush the light fixtures are original and the towels are thin.

Really though, do something about the towels.

but had thin towels, no clock, mattress was OK but blanket was thin same with bedspread.

but I would suggest the lodge invest in some new towels.

The towels were thin and I would have a hard time using the facecloth on my dog.

I note that recent changes to towels and breakfast charges have been implemented so please, please Mr and Mrs Hooke, show some respect for your guests and spend some money (you must have plenty judging by how full you are) on replacing essential items

My only criticism (as a previous reviewer's) would be regarding the towels - too small and thin.

The towels were also hard and very scratchy.

The only negative was the towels which were somewhat small and threadbare.

The towels in the bathroom were worn and thin.

If you like thick towels, bring your own.

There were other motels in the area that looked nicer for a better price.

The beds were comfortable and the area very quiet.

Spent two nights at the Kokopelli Inn while exploring the Four Corners area (Monument Valley/Valley of the Gods) and found it to be a "solid" option for the budget traveler.

It was one of the cheaper motels in the area (we were heading to Monument Valley) so I was definitely leery.

Also, a small indoor sitting area, which was pleasant.

When we return to the Monument Valley area, and we will, we hope to be staying here again

It was comfy and Bluff is a nice little area - the only thing I will say is that the service was not the friendliest at all.

This is a great place to stay travelling through the desert area.

Id stay again if in the area for the price paid.

They offered us great advice about doing side trips in the area.

This hotel is a great little gem in this area of Utah.

Would definitely stay again for a night if in there area again.

While visiting all areas of the Southwest, this was a good stopping point that was most welcome.

Basic breakfast is provided in the reception area.

Bluff, UT was the little town I came through on the first evening of a week-long road trip in the Four Corners area.

but fair price for area with few alternatives.

We would advise anyone staying in the area to use this motel.

If this is the area where you really want to stay, a night at the Kokopelli will be worth it.

- The office closes at 10:00 PM so get there before closing.

The office was closed until 6:45am, so we had to sit in our car until then.

Be sure you are there to check in prior to 11pm, as the front office closes.

Wi-fi was very weak in the 2nd building which is not close to the office.

No coffee in room, office said they had coffee after 7am, which didn't help us as we had to be on the road by that time.

The free coffee and mufins did show up later- only to be locked up in the office while the staff "was out".

Breakfast was not included, they did have facilities in the office to get breakfast,

but the room was clean and the wifi worked.

but who cares, you're on a budget :)
