We heard the ice machine and elevator doors throughout the day and night.

Must use stairs because cannot access elevator because of locked first floor door.

The web-based checkin didn't work, there was no acrylic shield at check-in, no employees were wearing masks, and there were no signs at elevators or breakfast asking for the simple courtesies that could reduce the spreading the virus.

There was a planned power and water outage for later that night and a short glitch with the elevator in the morning,

There is an elevator if you are on an upper floor.

Has an elevator from the lobby otherwise stairs to second and third floors.

When we checked in the elevator was not working.

However, the elevator was broken during our entire stay and we were on the third floor.

I noticed a comment earlier about the elevator.

My 80 year old grandma and two kids had to climb stairs because the elevator was out.

Lightening had struck and caused the elevator to stop working, which shouldn't effect your stay, hopefully.

The front desk staff either doesn't know the lay out of their hotel very well or just plain lazy to tell you where exactly is the room located after you tell then you do not want a room near any exit, stairs, elevators.

The carpet is plush and the elevator has a marbled floor.

Not sure if an elevator at rear of facility.

We asked for and received a very quiet room on the third floor, far from the elevator and ice machine.

Everything was great from checking in, cleanliness of the room, safeness of the area, and the staff.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly.

Clean room and we fixed to stay an extra night and they made room for us!

Our room was great and clean and the housekeeping staff were so helpful and smiling.

Breakfast needs some work as it is very limited and ALL cold breakfast food options!

The only problem was the shower changing from hot to cold and losing pressure,

All of us had issues with the showers--going from icy cold to burning hot without the faucets being touched.

but it was too cold and both now closed for the season.

Concerns were the top mattress didn't stay on the bed very well and when taking a shower the water turned hot and cold several times.

The shower was a little tricky as it would go from warm to cold & back again.

It's a bit scary to have shower water flashing between very hot and cold and back again.

The room was about as neat and clean as you will find.

Bedding was great and the room was very clean.

Spacious, nicely decorated and super clean rooms, it exceeded my expectations on all counts.

We stayed for two days and were very happy with the large clean room and facilities.

Most of the Motels/Hotels and Lodges around Big-Fork were at least $220 a night and way up, then I found The Timbers.

My wife and my brother and sister-in-law have been coming to The Timbers and Bigfork for the same weekend for nearly 27 years.

but it has a funky and at times nasty smell in the room.

The staircase near the end of the building had rotting wooden steps.

There is a chip in he sink and a little mold in the shower.

With that in mind, I must say I was still frustrated to enter a huge room that overwhelmed me with the smell of Febreeze.

I feel like hanging around Bigfork longer and staying on right here at the Timbers.

Could have put 4 people in that room, no sweat.

The water hadn't been turned on in our unit (my husband found it and did it) and the tv was old.

There was a water shortage, so we were asked (by signage) to use as little water as possible.

The shower water went from hot to barely warm in the 5 minute period that I used it.

Could have used a bit more water pressure in the shower, other that that, I will be back.

They really need to address the fluctuating hot water issue.

That was the worst experience we've ever had with the water.

The beds were old, the carpet was dirty and stained, and the shower went from scalding to freezing without warning!

Of the five times calling the front desk the phone was answered only once.

Even when off-site, most of us in supervisory/managerial positions can be easily reached by email or a cell phone.

The hide-a-bed had no sheets, so we had to call and get some.

It was after 11pm, and the answering service said she'd call the manager.

She never even had enough gall to call us back!

I would call the bedding "homespun", fitting the log-railed bed, not luxurious.

There was no assistance answering any dialable # on the phone.

Although the website is a bit confusing with all the different room configurations a quick call to the hotel brings clarity.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, and rooms were also spacious.

Housekeeping called me to ask if I wanted service, instead of just coming by to actually clean and make the room up.

The room was clean and well maintained with beautiful grounds and friendly, helpful staff!

But we were pleasantly surprised by the location, welcome, cleanliness of the rooms, and amenities.

The rooms were clean, efficient, and comfortable.

The housekeeping staff kept our room clean with daily cleaning & refreshing of toiletries.

The lodge and grounds were quite nice, and the rooms were clean and in nice shape.

My responses to previous reviews - the room was immaculate.

but the tables were sticky and there was debris on  the floor and the staff member who was meant to be looking after the area far preferred talking hunting to one of the visitors rather than doing his job. Pity.

Here were the negatives:
- Very basic room, didn't even have a mirror, hard mattress, dirty carpet
- partial view of Flathead Lake, nothing special
- empty shower soap dispenser & empty tissue box in bathroom
- very basic continental breakfast with tasteless coffee and stale pastries
- continental breakfast not available until 7:00 am.

Missoula, MT has suffered through a grey, damp, and dismal winter and my husband and I were looking for a quick getaway.

For $250 we did not expect to have filthy, stained carpets that you couldn't pay me to walk on without shoes, popcorn and other debris sprinkled everywhere, snack food across the balcony and a build up of grunge on the toilet.

Couch was dirty so we had to put a blanket over it, and the balcony was filthy with bird poop all over chairs and table.

I went to put food in the fridge only to smell something odd and stepped in something wet.

It was dungeon dark, even in the middle of the day with all ten lamps on.

It was so wonderfully dark and quiet at night, both outside and in our room (we finally got a chance to use the constellation-spotting app on my iPad)!

Megan’s home is a breath of fresh air from the Montana norm of dark woods and dead animals hanging on the walls.

The rooms were clean and bed were comfortable.

The house and grounds are immaculate and the rooms tidy and comfortable.

Very tranquil atmosphere-- our bed was incredibly comfortable & the room was very clean and quite big.

The 2 bedroom unit we stayed in was also run down, carpet stains and not up to date.

AC unit in main part of condo did not work.

They also hung down completely covering a base board heater that creates a very obvious fire hazard.

The unit we stayed in is in need of a upgrading, appliances and plumbing need attention

Our RCI unit is in desperate need of new carpets and updating.

However the unit we rented and the management left much to be desired.

The unit was aged, smelled of mildew, was dark and depressing inside.

Don’t rember if the smaller unit had one.

Their claim to fame is that each unit is individually owned AND DECORATED, so “each time you come it is a different experience” (their words, not mine!).

Unit #162 poorly furnished with no pot holder, no cutting board, only 3 wine glasses and other items for a unit billed as sleeping 6, furniture and carpet need replacing, office hours minimal and after hours not responsive, had to get additional toilet paper from the office; my spouse made multiple daily trips to the office for things missing, we are not coming back.

We walked in the door and there was a huge black stain on the carpet that looks like it was tracked throughout the unit.

A/C couldn't keep up to keep the room cool.

The unit we had had terrible beds, probably old and in need of updating.

Two things I would change if it was my unit: Have lighting in the toilet other than the heat lamp, and upgrade the diminutive TV. The waterfront unit we were in didn't offer direct view of the mountains, and the water was a wake-free inlet (or is it technically a river?)

The only bummer was they put someone in the unit next to us (when resort was practically empty) and the walls are THIN.

Due to a broken leg we chose a ground floor waterfront unit with patio.

While our particular studio unit was nicely renovated and decorated (although lacking a view or balcony), the major problem with our unit was that it was on the first floor, and we were disturbed by noise coming from the upstairs unit above us almost constantly.

We came home one evening to find some towels in the middle of the hall-kind of like someone started cleaning

I have stayed at a Motel 6 that was nicer and cleaner than our very expensive room.

It was clear when booking that housekeeping would be minimal.

When housekeeping finally did come, the job was poorly done.

I would just make sure guests are checked out before sending cleaning crew.

Also, there is NO housekeeping in condos.

Was wondering if there was housekeeping when we started to run out of towels and garbage bags.

The front desk refused to send anyone to clean the room.

We at first couldn't get the tv cable box to go on, so the cleaning lady had a young man come help us right away.

My advice, be very careful with what your are booking in the internet and what they are actually charging your card, don't accept any other room than the one you originally booked, get your towels and maybe some cleaning materials for the bathroom and the what's so called kitchenette

but did not empty the trash cans, provide new coffee, or do any other cleaning up what so ever.

though the maid came in to clean the room the next day, new sheets were never put back on the bed.

-	Housekeeping is not a standard service for many of the units.

would have been better if it was cleaned.

The marina does offer gas for boats although you will have to put your boat in the water across the small bay as there is no boat launch at the resort. Pros: large units, boat rentals available at the resort, pool
Cons:  limited parking, did not have same cable service in all the bedrooms so the boys watched in the living room, no maid service each day--had to empty our own garbage and haul it up the hill to a dumpster, were told we could check in an hour early

The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food was great and the views are amazing!

I stayed in the least expensive of the rooms and it was very clean comfortable and homey.

Our room was spotless clean, very comfortable and with a BEAUTIFUL view.

Our room was very clean, very large (end unit), and had basically a full kitchen (just a 2 burner cook top).

The freezer had ice in the trays that smelled like it had been there for months.

The sliding glass door was filthy, the blind in the Master Bdrm was broken.

The room had old Green satin comforters, large dark stains on the carpet, a thick layer of dust on most flat surfaces, and  enough cigarette ash and crumbs on the patio to grow a garden.

but people were smoking there, the food by the pool and lakeside average at best, not a lot of fresh choices.

First off, the smell when you walked in was a musty basement smell.

Example: our entry-mat sat in a recessed area in the sidewalk that was always saturated in water, condensation from the window unit air conditioner above it; disgusting and probably unhealthy.

butts and someone put a wax candle on the hot grill which melted down the front of it and we had to clean it prior to using it. The garbage disposal did not work (they did come out and fix it.)

but didn't get a chance since the office was closed).

The only thing that I wished was that they had no smoking on their premises, because we stayed when it was very warm and we had our windows open and the neighbor cabin smoked us out until we closed our windows and we ended up hot and unable to sleep well.

If the office was closed, someone was immediately available by phone.

Only bad thing was the Gourmet Galley (restaurant across the street with well known baked goods) was closed!

Definitely not worth the $1892 that I paid upfront for 6 nights.

Jennifer appeared to be embarrassed to show us the cabin we pre paid over $400 for that is 50 ft off of highway 35 (Good news. .

Due to the aforementioned conditions above, I would rate this place as overpriced at 164 a night vs what was actually delivered during our stay.

but we have never paid so much for so little.

Not very nice for camping, and they were pretty expensive spots.

The nice thing about not having a TV was that it forced you to pay attention to the people that you travel with.

I rate hotels/motels on the cleanliness (5), mattress quality (5), shower quality (5),  and $$.

but if you are in need of something this place is alot less money - but you get what you pay for.

Our room was  immaculate and there were lots of great amenities.

The room was spotless and the walk down to the water was one of the most peaceful experiences ever!

The room was clean and comfortable, and appointed with intention.

Nice clean rooms just a minute from the private beach.
