We had a better-than-average breakfast with hot items.

Breakfast was good & just what we needed before getting back on the road.

The morning breakfast is great the view from the breakfast room is second to none.

Sheila in the kitchen area was a joy and the breakfast was just perfect with eggs, bacon, sausage and oatmeal and waffles and everything!!

We ate breakfast at the hotel 5 mornings and the food was good and the staff was very accommodating.

The breakfast bar was VERY clean and stocked with many choices.

We heard the ice machine and elevator doors throughout the day and night.

Must use stairs because cannot access elevator because of locked first floor door.

The web-based checkin didn't work, there was no acrylic shield at check-in, no employees were wearing masks, and there were no signs at elevators or breakfast asking for the simple courtesies that could reduce the spreading the virus.

There was a planned power and water outage for later that night and a short glitch with the elevator in the morning,

There is an elevator if you are on an upper floor.

Has an elevator from the lobby otherwise stairs to second and third floors.

When we checked in the elevator was not working.

However, the elevator was broken during our entire stay and we were on the third floor.

I noticed a comment earlier about the elevator.

My 80 year old grandma and two kids had to climb stairs because the elevator was out.

Lightening had struck and caused the elevator to stop working, which shouldn't effect your stay, hopefully.

The front desk staff either doesn't know the lay out of their hotel very well or just plain lazy to tell you where exactly is the room located after you tell then you do not want a room near any exit, stairs, elevators.

The carpet is plush and the elevator has a marbled floor.

Not sure if an elevator at rear of facility.

We asked for and received a very quiet room on the third floor, far from the elevator and ice machine.

Candlewyck inn is an awesome place, operated by an awesome person, and Megan serves a breakfast so amazing that you'll leave slightly snobbier than when you arrived.

This Bed and Breakfast is beautifully landscaped and peaceful.

Breakfasts are plentiful and made to order.

Also, Megan makes delicious breakfasts, and she gave awesome suggestions of where to go and what to do.

Breakfast was a culinary delight with delectable food in a striking presentation.

Accomodations are very comfortable and the owner serves gourmet breakfasts.

Megan was very accommodating with the breakfast, even willing to cook them something different than the adults had.

From the exquisite morning breakfasts (taste and presentation was outstanding) to the meditation tree in the back, I continue to linger on the memories of this pristine choice of accommodation.

Megan made me feel comfortable and safe as a solo female traveler and I never went without of felt hungry as her meals were wholesome, delicious, and filling - the perfect energy for the adventures you'll have in Bigfork.

It's great to get up in the morning and take a walk along the Swan River trail and come back to one of Megan's yummy breakfasts.

Megan makes delicious food that she serves up with her great sense of humor!

The chief (Megan, the owner of the Inn) made us a very creative breakfast, and it was delicious to boot!

Her vegetarian eggs on toast with mushrooms and cheese and marinara sauce were a tasty treat.

Don't forget to taste her home made breakfast or dinner as well!

The food was amazing and it was awesome getting to know other people at the breakfast table!!

It was dungeon dark, even in the middle of the day with all ten lamps on.

It was so wonderfully dark and quiet at night, both outside and in our room (we finally got a chance to use the constellation-spotting app on my iPad)!

Megan’s home is a breath of fresh air from the Montana norm of dark woods and dead animals hanging on the walls.

even though the kitchen is spacious and beautiful, there was never a sight, sound, or smell to suggest any cooking.

However, upon smelling and tasting the special cooked cereal, I was hooked.

Breakfast horse ride to best bacon on the face of the earth plus bonded with Buster who I rode the rest of the week and I don't like horses, BUT.

The Food was amazing for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Not to be missed are the trail side campfire breakfast and the steak fry.

The bell rings three times a day to invite you to the lodge for delicious meals from scratch.

The breakfast ride was a highlight of our vacation.

Lunch was also buffet style & dinner was plated.

The breakfast was very good, lots of choice of hot and cold items.

For example the breakfast ride, after a relaxed ride awaits a delicious breakfast with pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee and tea.

There are always delicious homemade sweet bakery snacks in the lodge, and each happy hour has amazing free treats (smoked fish, mussels, cheese, etc).

The staff is wonderful, the food is delicious, the grounds are gorgeous, and there are plenty of fun activities.

They serve three meals per day and have a morning horseback breakfast ride and an evening steak fry in the mountains .

Food is downhome, good, hearty and healthy.

For me, the highlight of the week was an evening trail ride into the mountains for a delicious steak fry and cowboy chuck wagon dinner.

The people/staff were incredibly friendly, breakfasts were great and the grounds are incredibly scenic.

For us, it was buffet style and totally vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and meat-eater friendly.

I can look good sitting on a horse while it walks me through the woods (with breakfast or a beer as the reward),

but not fancy--new carpeting might be an idea--but in reality we spent little time inside.

Reading some of the more negative reviews, I have no idea where they could be coming from.

There are a myriad of activities for the kids; a rodeo , kayaking,  water skiing, arts and crafts , horseback rides for the older kids and lessons for children under 6, and a "real" Teepee sleep out.

Dinner for the kids is 6 and 6:30 for adults- just enough time to put your kid down or get an activity arranged for older kids.

Keep in mind that the lodge and cabins are decades old and have been in the same family the whole time. Some of the rooms are on the small side, none are air conditioned, there is not TV or radio (yea!)

The rooms are small, dimly lit, with rustic style appointments.

Ours was a two level room with a double bed down and a full up, and there is no tv or phone, and no room to hang out.

I didn't even notice there was not one television on property.

While there is wifi in the lodge, there are no TVs available for guests.

The staff, cleaning- breakfast & front desk - were so courteous, professional & friendly that we can’t wait to come back!

Also we got food to go from Riley’s and ate there on the porch one night .. convenient and delicious!

The next night we ate at Riley’s, the pub downstairs   I had baby back ribs and they were delicious.

The resort is beautiful and has everything you need (outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, laundry machines, work out center, 2 restaurants, grocery store across the street, complimentary breakfast, and lawn games.

The continental breakfast in the morning had a great selection and the staff were all super friendly.

The breakfast was delicious with many choices.

Pool, jacuzzi , fire pit and great included breakfast .wished I was staying more than 1 night .less than 1 hour from Glacier .

2 places to eat both are excellent and rooms include continental breakfast.

And the continental breakfast was so convienent.

In the morning they had a really good breakfast bar downstairs which we really enjoyed.

They did have a continental breakfast, which we weren’t expecting, so that was nice.

Two on site restaurants which were very good and they also served free breakfast.

Continental breakfast was appreciated every morning with variety of easy to grab items.

We ate at the Riley Pub which was on premise and delicious!

The amenities, down to the "spa-level" shampoo and conditioner and free continental breakfast in the lobby added to our enjoyment.

Having a continental breakfast provided was great and the two restaurants had delicious food.

We ate at the Pub and it was delicious casual food.

Of the five times calling the front desk the phone was answered only once.

Even when off-site, most of us in supervisory/managerial positions can be easily reached by email or a cell phone.

The hide-a-bed had no sheets, so we had to call and get some.

It was after 11pm, and the answering service said she'd call the manager.

She never even had enough gall to call us back!

I would call the bedding "homespun", fitting the log-railed bed, not luxurious.

There was no assistance answering any dialable # on the phone.

Although the website is a bit confusing with all the different room configurations a quick call to the hotel brings clarity.

Black mold in the bathroom, cobwebs all over ceiling, remnants of a dead squished mosquito on the wall, dead bugs in bath tub along with old beat up lamp.

but the tables were sticky and there was debris on  the floor and the staff member who was meant to be looking after the area far preferred talking hunting to one of the visitors rather than doing his job. Pity.

Here were the negatives:
- Very basic room, didn't even have a mirror, hard mattress, dirty carpet
- partial view of Flathead Lake, nothing special
- empty shower soap dispenser & empty tissue box in bathroom
- very basic continental breakfast with tasteless coffee and stale pastries
- continental breakfast not available until 7:00 am.

but because of the smoke he headed north.

Missoula, MT has suffered through a grey, damp, and dismal winter and my husband and I were looking for a quick getaway.

For $250 we did not expect to have filthy, stained carpets that you couldn't pay me to walk on without shoes, popcorn and other debris sprinkled everywhere, snack food across the balcony and a build up of grunge on the toilet.

Couch was dirty so we had to put a blanket over it, and the balcony was filthy with bird poop all over chairs and table.

I went to put food in the fridge only to smell something odd and stepped in something wet.

They give you a Grab and Go breakfast it was great and wonderful coffee.

I was also surprised to learn we could also have a yogurt from the refrigerator if we wanted to include it in the ‘To Go’ bag. .wonderful!

"Breakfast" was a grab and go bag, otherwise, a great place to stay and will definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

On all of the ads, it says it comes with breakfast.

Almost walking distance to the tourist shops & eateries in Bigfork (Pocketstone Café for breakfast which accommodated no gluten/no egg request). Convenient base camp for day trips to Kalispell and Whitefish (Alpine slide & gondola ride to summit)

..  We didn't check on the breakfast, so can't attest to that.

However the fruit toast was something else or simply delicisk is a lovely place and has a wonderful appearance very much of a town right out of a western movie.

but clean, and the rooms did all have fridge, microwave and free coffee, toast in the lobby.

Hot fresh coffee, oatmeal, croissant, and toast for a morning bite to eat.

If you are looking for a big breakfast it's not here..but all in all it was a great stay.

The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars was the skimpy continental breakfast, which was OK

A continental breakfast was available each morning that my wife and my daughter felt was adequate,

but felt bad located near lake beautiful grounds would stay here again breakfast basic but great staff

First the positives : the motel in conveniently located on route 35 and is close to the cute little historic downtown of Bigfork, it has a beautiful pool setting outside, it has a lot of parking and the continental breakfast is nicer than a lot of these small independently owned motels.

Rooms were cleaned promptly, continental breakfast excellent offering a roll, waffle, oatmeal, as well as a good cup of coffee.

Breakfast needs some work as it is very limited and ALL cold breakfast food options!

The only problem was the shower changing from hot to cold and losing pressure,

All of us had issues with the showers--going from icy cold to burning hot without the faucets being touched.

but it was too cold and both now closed for the season.

Concerns were the top mattress didn't stay on the bed very well and when taking a shower the water turned hot and cold several times.

The shower was a little tricky as it would go from warm to cold & back again.

It's a bit scary to have shower water flashing between very hot and cold and back again.

The only thing we didn’t like was the smell of the room just as you enter

Stairs to the second floor were dirty, with chipping paint, and some rotting wood.

but had a slight odor (just smelled a little old.

carpet filthy--walked across floor, then stepped into tub, leaving black footprints. ewww.

Great beds and no bad smells (I find hotel/motel sheets tend to smell bad, even in very expensive places).

Most of the Motels/Hotels and Lodges around Big-Fork were at least $220 a night and way up, then I found The Timbers.

My wife and my brother and sister-in-law have been coming to The Timbers and Bigfork for the same weekend for nearly 27 years.

but it has a funky and at times nasty smell in the room.

The staircase near the end of the building had rotting wooden steps.

There is a chip in he sink and a little mold in the shower.

With that in mind, I must say I was still frustrated to enter a huge room that overwhelmed me with the smell of Febreeze.

I feel like hanging around Bigfork longer and staying on right here at the Timbers.

Could have put 4 people in that room, no sweat.

The water hadn't been turned on in our unit (my husband found it and did it) and the tv was old.

There was a water shortage, so we were asked (by signage) to use as little water as possible.

The shower water went from hot to barely warm in the 5 minute period that I used it.

Could have used a bit more water pressure in the shower, other that that, I will be back.

They really need to address the fluctuating hot water issue.

That was the worst experience we've ever had with the water.

The beds were old, the carpet was dirty and stained, and the shower went from scalding to freezing without warning!

Be sure to grab breakfast at Lake Baked, take it back to your cottage and enjoy it on your private front porch.

We walked to town for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed the very laid back and casual town.

Walk less than 5 minutes and you are in downtown Bigfork with an incredible bakery with fresh, warm Huckleberry Cinnamon Rolls to die for!

We walked to an awesome little cafe up the road for breakfast.

The grounds are lush, full of plants and flowers under the umbrella of large healthy pine trees.

What fun we had sitting on the cottage porch eating breakfast, lunch, enjoying our Happy Hour and supper listening to the sound of the river & hearing/watching the osprey family!

Enjoyed a great breakfast at the PocketStone Cafe, did a little shopping and found it to be a great place!

The Pocketstone Cafe does a great breakfast.

We enjoyed sitting on the front porch for morning breakfast.

The location was just right for strolls around town, a hike on the Nature Trail, browsing in boutiques and delicious meals in hospitable surroundings.

The Pocketstone Cafe has some of the best breakfasts anywhere and they are a short walk away.

The cottage is in such wonderful condition, and the kitchenette was perfect for us to have a quick breakfast before we went exploring around Flathead lake.

The kitchen had all the materials we needed to have a breakfast including a large selection of coffees, teas and hot chocolate for the Keurig coffee maker.

Fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker with selection of coffee and tea pods made early breakfast easy.

The staff friendly.. From the cottages you can walk to  the downtown for breakfast..

Couple the Cottages with the Pockstone café for breakfast, and heaven was all in one location.

This property is the combination of home, a bed and breakfast, and an incredible private property all rolled into one.

Enjoyed breakfast on the back porch overlooking the river.

They took out the pull out sofa and instead gave us two thin and uncomfortable roll aways.

It's a high end sofa bed, not one of those cheap uncomfortable ones.

The 2 bedroom unit we stayed in was also run down, carpet stains and not up to date.

AC unit in main part of condo did not work.

They also hung down completely covering a base board heater that creates a very obvious fire hazard.

The unit we stayed in is in need of a upgrading, appliances and plumbing need attention

Our RCI unit is in desperate need of new carpets and updating.
