We were offered a change of hotel to a sister hotel that had air con!

According to the Reception this was because they do not have a "real Air Conditioning System",

There is no air conditioning in the room, it was very hot.

The information we received from the booking agency said there was air conditioning and a refrigerator, which it also did not have.

Cooling in the room not working, despite outside temperature exceeding 30 degrees!

There was no air con, so did not get a very good nights sleep as it was so hot.

Their "AC" isn't an AC, which they told us when checking in.

No aircondition in the rooms, like trying to sleep innan owen.

The air conditioning in the room did not work at all, and the system of its regulation via TV was a complete failure.

but the thermostat in that room didn't work either.

If there would be one thing, the airconditioning was a little hard to navigate through the television and couldn't get the room very cool.

Sleeping was difficult even after reception provided us with a fan.

Also the A/C didn’t seem to work and made a high pitch noise for hours.

The heating or air conditioning was so loud that it wasn’t possible to sleep while the heating / airconditioning was on.

👉 there is no airconditioning in the hotel halls.

Very annoying was the lack of AC in the hotel rooms that made us sleepless for several days due to the heat.

There are some things they could improve: 
The air conditioning is not strong enough to cool the room properly.

No aircondition, no customer service, no bar or restaurant (had to use Wolt in Saturday at 3 PM), no cleaning (rubbish were in the room several days), etc.

Sleep was impossible and the only options offered were a portable fan or to open the windows at night.

The rooms were excellent, the breakfast was outstanding, and the location was perfect—near a metro station and Berlin Mall.

On the plus side the hotel was clean, the staff we pleasant (mostly) and the range of breakfast available was as good as we have seen in a hotel.

Breakfast was ok, "coffee break" in the afternoon were some (very few) brownies and meatballs with tomato sauce.

The breakfast buffet offers a lot of choices.

Lovely quiet hotel, especially at night..beds are very comfortable,breakfast very good, choice available..staff friendly & efficient.

If you are not opting for breakfast at the hotel there are plenty of very good cafes around with good option for breakfast.

The breakfast is great and the rooms are totally quiet.

The hotel ist good located, very clean and offers an opuelnt breakfast, incl.

The restaurant is especially good for breakfast with a wide choice of foods.

This is rated as 4 star hotel we stayed 3 nights our hotel room haven’t been cleaned and when I asked about it you need to request at the reception for this take place

An absolutely fantastic hotel, the gluten-free breakfast was the best I have ever experienced, went full from breakfast every morning, and they serve sparkling wine Saturday and Sunday for breakfast, absolutely fantastic.

We liked the Hotel and think the very extensive breakfast was really worth it.

The hotel has a great breakfast buffet so i advise to get that included with your reservation.

They tell you in the small print of your booking confirmation that you have to book cleaning of the room.

Cons:  Housekeeping does not service the room unless requested.

but the damage had been done and each day we had issues. On our final day we went back to the room and some one was checking that housekeeping had done their job properly ( I think we were by this time on a watch list!)

I love the fact that you get housekeeping only if you ask for it (which I never do); so their default is that they never come into your room if you don't want them to. .

Lastly the room wasn't cleaned properly before arriving - dusty in the corners among others.

👉Due to hotel  sustainability, they do not offer room cleaning or towel changing unless you say it at the reception, every single day.

Room cleaning happens only if you ask for it.

We don't clean unless you ask" which was lame as an excuse.

Clearly the towels need to be cleaned better and the cleaners need to be tile to replace all spare towels when cleaning rooms after guests check out.

but you wait a long time to check in and the rooms are not properly cleaned between two guests It's a pity because ll other aspects are great but it ruined my opinion on the place

You have to request a cleaning of the room, and when you do so you got unfriendly answers.

A few things to watch: For what they say are 'environmental reasons', they do not clean your room unless you ask.

And you had to tell the front desk if you wanted your room cleaned.

On day 3 I asked at reception whether housekeeping had serviced the room and was told they don't do daily cleaning for "environmental" reasons.

And even that I asked, the floors were dirty after cleaning.

Luckily window can be opened to lower the temperature a bit.

They could not get their air cooling to work ( not air con as they pointed out many times)
They could not get the temp below 24.7, even when they brought in ice buckets and fans!!!!

I could not get the room temperature below 24 degrees centigrade.

They promise that it will keep the temperature five degrees less than the outdoor temperature.

Just two improvements: allow own control of the room temperature and fix the machines in the gym.

At the time I was in Berlin, the temperature was outside 30-35 degrees (in room 25-27!)

29+ degree heat outside and NO air conditioning- the temperature in the room is controlled via the TV and we were informed that it could only cool the room a few degrees below the outside air temperature.

Room was cold the whole 5 days with no option to regulate the temperature in the room.

Only comment: the rooms were too hot and there is no possibility to change the temperature.

The first room assigned to me had a temperature of 29 degrees Celsius.

There was no difference in temperature with the window open or closed.

however the room was not an uncomfortable temperature.

We could only set the room temperature to 22

However, I think Berlin temps are not usually as high as it was recently, so perhaps it may work when temp not so high outside.

Air conditioning doesn't work that well - I understand because of sustainability, yet would have preferred it a bit cooler because of high temperatures.

Changed to a new room and the temperature never worked on this one either.

but the temperature inside the room is above 25 degrees, and the air is very stiff, lacking oxygen.

The water temperature in the bath is about 35 degrees, which might be cold to some people.

If you enter a temperature in the system, nothing will happen and the room will stay warm.

but fails on some basics - no tissues, no shower cap in the bathroom; the Aircon was totally ineffective (wouldn’t stay there in the summer); breakfast was limited and expensive - go to any of the bakeries nearby.

In hot weather, our small, well appointed room may not have been as enjoyable without a good air conditioning system that the hotel is lacking.

I was wrong, it was extremely hot and no, there was no AC.

ROOM: We stayed in 101, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random view of the Green Courtyard below ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Biggest bummer as they dont have any kind of Air Conditioning!!

If I could add anything, the rooms did not offer air con, something I must have missed reading when I booked.

Only downside of a summer stay is no AC and opening the windows didn't work well because of all the street noise.

There was a heat wave (mid 80s F) and no A/C.

however this time there was a heatwave and the Circus has no A/C.

But we came for few hot days and there is no air conditioning in the hotel, so if you tend to sweat, don't come when hot, only ventilation in the rooms

I did not see A/C in the room, it might be an issue in Summer.

Expensive for the lack of facilities, no fridge in the room, no ac which wasn’t great next to the bus junction.

On the downside, they don't have air conditioning.

There is no air-conditioning in the room, just a fan (that didn’t help with the warm room, just left me with a sore throat!).

Our room was a tad too small and did not have air conditioning.

Another issue (which appears in a lot of other reviews) is that there is no air con.

They put on a special breakfast for the marathon runners on the Sunday which was really helpful.

We chose to pre-pay the daily breakfast when we made the hotel booking.

Breakfast was a cooked or cold/pastry option and sociable hours.

We ate breakfast in the hotel one morning which was great, service was speedy and there was a good selection of options.

Make sure you take advantage of the breakfast offerings - delicious and once again, good value.

The reception is quite unusual, opens at a bar, very lively and excellent vibes.. very good drinks.. though we didn't have breakfast there,

For breakfast, we used 3 different formulas and we enjoyed each:

Loved the little courtyard garden for both breakfast and beers in the evening, as well as the rooftop terrace.

Breakfast was excellent and every member of staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel caters with a very substantial breakfast (scrambled eggs cooked to perfection) or you can visit the Circus Cafe and coffee shops a stone’s throw away.

We stayed there once before and our room was small and overlooked the busy intersection, so was rather noisy.

Also, the room is really small and not comfortable.

TINY room, with no minibar and no aircon.

Although the room was small it was to be expected as a capital city and certainly not the smallest room we have ever stayed in.

However, it was very hot weather during our stay and there is no air conditioning in the room just a small fan,

Room was small , not as funky as web page , very bland & boring , coffee & tea not replenished , bed had split down mattress as if 2 to make one .

The room we had was small, warm and really comfortable.

The room was small with an unusually big shower room.

However, it was not an issue when our windows were closed.

The sole window provides a glimpse of the Berlin TV tower and their verandah.

but reasonably shut out if you keep the window closed.

Perhaps the only point is that it was pretty hot, there was only a ventilator and opening windows was not a solution, since they overlook a busy street.

Because of the location one can hear traffic/police sirens/outside conversation with the windows open.

Our room was in the back of the hotel  and once the windows were closed it was hard to believe you were in the middle of a busy city it was so quiet !

but on summer evenings it might be a little noisy if you have the windows open.

but double glazed windows blocked any noise.

The fans don't make a significant difference and you can't sleep with the windows open because it is really loud outside.

However, we could not shut the windows because there is no air conditioning in the rooms, or at least ours.

Loud (and I mean ear shattering loud sirens at ALL hours of night will blare as they ride past your room and through the intersection, the tram likewise is super loud as it has to make the turn - again, right under your window.

Despite the hotel being next to a busy road intersection there is surprisingly very little noise when the windows are closed.

However, we always open windows when we sleep.

The courtyard can be very echo-y and the chatter of people and clatter of dishes can float up into the rooms through open windows.

Having gone in summer it was busy in the streets and the rooms only have fans - we couldnt sleep that well, cause if the window was open, it was loud.

We had a room overlooking the street which would have been noisy if not for the excellently insulated windows.

Although this was available every day, the choice was plentiful and of a good quality.

Sauna and breakfast are great, as the restaurant/bar staff

Breakfasts there were excellent, as were the evening snacks - the chef thoughtfully provided pasta bolognese the night before the marathon - and there was a good selection of drinks.

The breakfast was delicious and the location of the hotel is perfect for the major tourist attractions of Berlin.

The breakfast was decent with a large range of items.

Morning breakfast was  very good as there was a separate vegan section,and we had good vegetarian options like pasta , sauted vegetables .the entire team was courteous and friendly.

Breakfast is great and also the Tapas Bar is worth a visit.

The breakfast was extensive and nice, maybe a little busy at peak times.

Spacious rooms, great breakfast, ideal location.

We stayed on 6th floor and had access to The Level, this is a help your self buffet, also hot and cold drinks.

Breakfast in there was fantastic, with them cold and hot drinks available all day long with alcohol and tapas from 6 to 9 pm.

We were well pleased with our choice of a room in The Level, as this gave access to the Level Lounge where you can have a quiet breakfast with plenty of choice and in the afternoon cakes are available.

Breakfast had an excellent choice even for a fussy teenager and the staff were very friendly.

The service in the Level lounge was outstanding, free drinks and a small buffet every evening, and the nicest food each morning at breakfast.

but we were warm and cozy in the hotel, a great breakfast, the hotel is close to Museum Island, the Brandenburg Gate, there are several good restaurants nearby, one of the best hotels we've been to

Comfortable room, great breakfast with vast choices, very helpful Reception staff.

There was no wifi for the first day and instead of telling us when we checked in we had to try to log in repeatedly in the room only to later ask and be told.

The WiFi network was strong and we did not experience any issues of this, however our only negative comment was that there was a slight sewage smell in the lobby which wasn't pleasant,

but experience is destroyed by a so bad wifi network.

but we experienced spotty internet connectivity during our stay.

Was dissapointed with the wifi, despite the router in the room we could not get any signal to access the hotel wifi.

Unlike some reviewers, we had no issues with the wifi.

However, given the ridiculous internet situation I would not recommend it nor return!

but the Internet is just bad to the extent you feel you can’t possibly be in Berlin or Germany.

My only criticism of the hotel was WiFi was a bit patchy in our hotel room.

The wifi is incredibly slow and therefore useless for streaming and working.

Very unprofessional staff and no wi-fi in the room (731) for 2 days.

only issues were the room was a little warm and difficult to change the temperature and Wi-Fi was a little slow

Weak signal, slow network, constantly disappearing.

Poor wi-fi and wired network not available.

but not my speed – worth it if you can get an all-inclusive travel deal, but not if you're paying full-price per day.

Level lounge was not what you can find on the internet review.

Should you have two people in the room with laptops and phones, your WiFi service comes with only 3 device secure links.

The WiFi only appeared to work intermittently and when it did work, it was slow which was frustrating at times.

The breakfast buffet is one the best we have ever seen - everything you could think of and all beautifully presented.

Breakfast was delicious, with an array of choices.

The Service was impeccable and the breakfast buffet to die for!

We were even lucky enough to have breakfast overlooking the gate one morning.

Breakfast was astonishing: gorgeous pastries, an array of meats, fruits, breads, cheeses, freshly made eggs.

Whilst the contents of the breakfast buffet were interesting and varied enough, the "Bel Etage" (only breakfast option) simply doesn't have the capacity to take all the guests.

Spacious beautiful rooms, amazing breakfast, great Spa and pool area.

well take breakfast:  For €55 pp you get to choose whatever mix of buffet and a la carte takes your fancy.

The staff are plentiful and very efficient.

They apologised and offered us free breakfast.

It was lovely to have a personalised birthday card and delicious cake waiting for us in our room.

The hotel lobby bar is superb, restaurants and breakfast buffet excellent.

The breakfasts are absolutely opulent, including caviar and French champagne in addition to every imaginable delicacy.

Breakfast was exceptional with a vast array of delicacies for everyone .

The breakfast buffet is mind-blowing and open from 6:30-11am - just a fantastic way to start the day!

We really enjoyed the hotel, the bar is great and the breakfast at the first floor amazing 
We will recommend the hotel Adlon Kempenski in Berlin to everyone, and a great location with very kind staff

We tasted from the magnificent cakes, the good coffee, and of course the Adlon LEGEND breakfast.

but the overall experience disappoints - staff are poorly trained, food is very average ( being generous here ), breakfast queuing times and service times are totally inacceptable …an 80 minutes massage is 60 mins  actual massage … absolutely not value for money and there are plenty of better (and cheaper ) hotels around

It is about 50 minutes from the airport and the taxi was around 70 euros which is expensive.

At the lobby bar, the prices are beyond ridiculous (even water cost over 12 Euros), and the staff was also very arrogant and dismissive, UNTIL it was time to pay!

We were told at check in that our inclusive breakfast rate did not extend to breakfast in the room.

so we had no evening turn down service, so shocked at that for a suite costing almost 1000 euro's a night!!

I took one look at the room and asked to be placed back into the room we had paid for- thankfully they managed to put us in our standard booked suite!

I assume it may be a little more expensive to face the Brandenburg gates.

but not outstanding and according to the hotel very expensive.

When checking out I mentioned I paid this trip for my family because of my birthday,
