We were so taken back by the size of our room it was like an apartment.

Absolutely delightful and each unit is more like an apartment with every need catered for including the all important tea making facilities.

The downstairs rooms we stayed in were more like an apartment with an entire separate sitting room.

The breakfast, many homemade produce, was excellent.

The room was beautiful, the poolside immaculate and the breakfasts were really special.

I have even bought a yogurt maker to emulate madams homemade yogurt.

The breakfast is a highlight and a great start to the day: fresh pastries, home-made cakes, cheese, jams, bread, coffee, all served in a beautiful terrace overlooking the pool.

Francois, JL and his sister were amazing hosts from preparing homemade breakfast to booking the best restaurants in town.

The breakfasts were delightful either sharing a table in the dining room, or out on the sunny terrace.

The owners are very friendly and provided an excellent breakfast which we ate on the balcony overlooking the garden.

The breakfast was fabulous for a continental breakfast and the car parking was secure and safe.

For something different try the amazing chocolatier just across from the church which serves focaccia slices and tartlets which were a nice change from a sandwich    Hotel breakfast was very good and worth the 10 euros.

Would definitely return, bed was comfortable and the breakfast spread was varied and generous.

A reasonably priced hotel in a great location with very friendly staff.The rooms are currently having a revamp, nice, bright and cheerful.We don't do breakfast there, a little overpriced for the choice.Stop at Cafe Riche on the corner for a Pastis, proper French bar with a wonderful owner.

It is  near all local places to visit .--eg the tobacco museum & wine cellar  & a trip on the water was refreshing ..We had the continental  breakfast each day which was 10 euros per person .It was good to relax in the garden after walking around for a few hours .We also picnicked outside in the evening .The staff were friendly & helpful .

Location is good, only 5 minutes from restaurants and 10 minutes from the medieval centre.

We spent a very comfortable 2 nights here, in the perfect location to explore Bergerac.

The hotel is well situated for all that Bergerac has to offer and the market that began outside the hotel and meandered through the streets was a delight.

Our hotel was within walking distance to exploring Bergerac and the markets which gather around the church, and our en-suite room was a decent size.

Stayed on Friday so on Saturday morning the market was right outside which was excellent.

Overall a good choice in the small market town - ideal for exploring, with its own gated parking too!

Stayed at the Bordeeaux Hotel which was right next to the lage church and Saturday Market.

Drinks in the bar were reasonably priced for France.

but if you ask at reception they will serve you promptly and the prices were very reasonable.

In chronological order of things we appreciated:  reasonably priced; easy to find and easy to park; fancy water in lobby for refreshment; pleasant reception; nice atmosphere of chic/faded French charm; clean, nicely appointed room; lovely little pool area with drinks; easy walk to historic area.

Breakfast was excellent value for the €10 charge, with lots of choice.

We arrived by plane into Bergerac airport, there doesn't appear to be any public transport to/From this airport so we took a taxi which cost about 15 euros.

Staff were very helpful, rate was reasonable I guess for Bergerac which is a bit if a tourist trap ( 75 euro not including breakfast for one person in double room at last minute) Car parking on the street was pretty easy, less than 10 mins from old town.

but the room was a little small for a double.

Our room was small and a tads inaccessible.

The rooms were small, the view was to the closed roofs with the green carpet over them (not very inspiring).

but there were some problems -- poor WiFi in the rooms; rooms are small and the bed was a smaller ( and kept getting smaller as the night went on ); and the elevator would only work with one person and some luggage.

My room was quite small and old fashioned, very basic.

Sunken small bed, minute shower room, nasty net curtain and outlook grim.

While the room smelled musty, after a few days there the smell was gone.

The room was filthy, cramped, fronting on to thre nain street outlide, illuminated by a neon sign .

but the room was tired, a bit smelly, had a soft mattress and no door between the bedroom and the bathroom.

Had a short break to see friends who lived nearby, central location close to the bars and restaurants and to the old town and shops, very helpful and friendly staff, breakfast has everything you need.

Super family run hotel, helpful and friendly owners, the rooms were basic and sparkling clean, great location for the centre of Bergerac, lovely continental breakfast.

They apologised for the lack of lift, and after explaining that I was recovering from a knee replacement operation, they offered to change our room to a lower floor.

Our room was on the second floor and the only drawback there was, at the time, no lift.

My only comment would be is that there doesn't appear to be a lift.

This hotel has no lift, no bar to speak of and no mirror in the bedroom.

Delightful little town on the river Dordogne, very historic.

Came for 3 nights to explore the town - the hotel is close to the old town and a ten minute stroll from the river.

The location of the hotel is ideal, its close to the centre of town, only a 10 min walk to the railway and bus station and a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport.

The hotel is a short walk from the historic town centre.

It's very well situated for the town centre, and near lots of restaurants (within a 5-10 minute walk).

The hotel is well placed for the old town of Bergerac, with the river being a 10 minute walk through the town.

It is in an excellent location right in the centre of Bergerac and only a 10 minute walk to the old town and the river.

We arrived by train and it was a 15 minute walk form the train station.

We stayed here 2 nights on our way to Bordeaux.We walked a short distance from the train station and was warmly greeted by the Manager.

Within walking distance of everything, including the train station, which was so convenient.

The walk from the train station was an easy mile.

The hotel was convenient both for the old town which had plenty of restaurants and also the railway station (about 10 minutes walk).

The hotel is situated between the railway station and the old town, which suited us fine.

Centrally located and within walking distance of the train station, it is convenient, clean, well run, and generally a great place to relax from a hectic travel day.

The breakfast is just fantastic and I can see it is very fresh and some of them are actually home made material and very healthy.

The place is lovely, Ann was so nice and attentive and breakfast was simple & delicious.

The swimming pool was brilliant to dip into at the end of the day, especially as temperatures during our stay reached the mid 30's.

but well maintained spotless swimming pool with sunbeds and sun chairs were available to soak up some of the beautiful weather we experienced whilst there.

The swimming pool was mostly appreciated after a long day of touristic visits and with the temperature of 39°.

The ostal is a b & b set in a large, delightful garden with a swimming pool and badminton and we had a wonderful evening picnic there, being too tired to go out.

The premises are set back from a side road with a natural garden and swimming pool.

The only things I would say are that the shower didn't have anywhere to put your shampoo etc and the inside of the wardrobes was back, so seeing your clothes often required a torch.

There was very little space in the bathrooms to put toiletries and there were patches of mould on the ceiling of the shower cubicle.

The first room had a shower in the bath and as my husband is 86 years old and couldn't get into the bath, the Hotel Director moved us to a room with a shower a couple of days later when it became available.

A pretty rug and mirror would have helped cheer it up a bit.

Which didn't lift the feeling of disappointment that we had upon reaching the room - minimalist and colourless furnishings,  a dark almost unlit bathroom, creaking unrepaired floorboards,  and a lot of noise from other Guests accessing their rooms via uncarpeted staircase above.

The bathrooms are a bit cramped and not brilliantly designed.

Shower over the bath (which you need a ladder to get into) had mould on tiles.

Whilst we paid for a deluxe room which was advertised to have a bath, we were placed in an assessible room therefore only an open shower room with no shower screen, curtin or bath and water ended up everywhere whenever you showered and made the floor dangerously slippery.
