Difficult to stop a dog “mid motion” and were told just to drag it away if it starts doing anything.

Note to Park Owners Maybe U Should Have a Area For Motorhomes who bring Dogs away from other Pitches ..

The answer was to drag your dog along until you got to the dog area.

If you like the TV programme Benidorm, lots of people, crowded spaces, building noise and lots of dogs , you will love it.

My wife, our dog and I, had a thoroughly enjoyable 6 weeks stay at Bonterra Park.

Our pitch neighbour's left Saturday and the whole plot was sprayed with disinfectant.

6amp electric, non potable water and drain on all pitches except "green" pitches (not recommended).

Only downside was the toilet blocks smell like dirty drains

however some of the residents were disgusting, on several occasions, the toilets were not flushed, and left full of poo.

Also the majority of waste water drains are uphill which makes them useless for link up.

The laundry is a good size and while we were there is €4 for a token from the machine in reception and also €4 for a dryer.

The only good thing about this site is the restaurant and it’s staff who are superb.

It is very well worth its stars, staff is very friendly, rooms are perfect (unannounced arrival), and breakfast fantastic.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the only slight criticism could be that the air conditioning struggled a bit to cope with the Summer heat as the corridors were pretty hot.

The Train station is the glass building that looks like an exhibition hall, to the left as you look out of the window.

This problem probably was related to the fact that the interior hall was not cooled.

Sensors detecting our presence gradually illuminated our way down the hallway like something out of a Sci Fi movie.

This is a  modern hotel close to the centre of Castellon and opposite the main bus station.

Modern well equipped bathroom with free razors, tooth brushes and shoe cleaning brush.

Restaurant didn’t open till 8pm nor did room service,

but okay food and open, albeit a little late for a hotel but in this town this is normal.

The location is not great (in front of the bus station, so if you want to keep a window open, you'll hear bus engines rolling the whole time, even at night.

The fact that all teams from around Europe stay here when they have a match against Villarreal is an endorsement in itself.

Our experience with the staff is ok, nothing special.

The location is excellent, 2 mins walk from rail station and 10 mins from city centre.

It’s about a 2hr 45 minute train south along the coast from Barcelona.

It has excellent transport links via train and tram.

It was conveniently located near the train and bus station of Castellon de la Plana.

Great location, it is located just across the street of the rail station and it has one of the top restaurants in town.

The Hotel is just next to the bus station and rail station and within ten minutes walk of the city centre.

It had a lovely balcony with nice furniture,but it wasn't suitable weather for using it, unfortunately.

Everything exceeded expectations, from the fabulous shower to the grand sized bed and bedding, to the balcony with sunbeds, wicker table and chairs and the fabulous hammock.

The hotel is located right by the beach without any road inbetween, which made my room with a big balcony overlooking the beach especially pleasant.

We had a sea view room with a balcony which was very nice.

Being able to stretch out in your own balcony hammock while watching the last of the sun's rays disappear over the horizon is amazing.

We had room 204 overlooking the beachfront lovely big balcony well equipped with table and chairs and a hammock.

Rooms were pleasant and had a good sized balcony overlooking the superb beach of Benicássim.

Sea view rooms (4th floor we stayed on) had excellent views, a small terrace / balcony with table and chairs and even a hammock.

but they are lovely, the balconies have hammocks, and it is great value.

The room was fresh, clean and very modern.

Apparently these were not available (they stayed empty the whole time we were there) so we asked whether it was possible to have the shades unfolded to which he said that the wind was too strong and so they won't be able to unfold them yet.

Some of the staff in the restaurant are hostile not hospitable the tables are never set and you have to ask for anything like a knife and a folk it's like you've asked for them to cook you a full on Sunday dinner, very little choice of food if you don't like fish.

Hot water only on request in the evening and when we complained about cold showers in the morning we were told by Receptionist that they only had 12 guests and "that the water was not too cold"

The waitress was very impatient, she asked a colleague to be replaced as I guess we were too slow or asking too many questions .

For a start my 'additional requests' had been ignored, or at least they could not be fulfilled.

Slightly disappointed on arrival not to have been placed next door to our friends as requested who had an upper floor room with uninterrupted beach/sea view.

Regarding the food, the burgers were dry, the service was slow and a friend was given normal milk in her coffee when she asked for oat.

Service in the beach terrace cafe is very slow.

however, service can be slow when you are waiting to be served here, often it was quicker to go into the cafe' itself and order.

Would reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing slow beach vacation.

My room was overlooking the traffic lights and I thought I might be disturbed, get traffic fumes,

The furniture is extremely old, the room was not clean enough and the smell of sewer was unbearable.

It seems the housekeeping smokes during making up the room, either that or there is a serious plumbing problem in the hotel, I suspect the former is more likely.

The toilet smelt very badly and generally the bath room was in a bad state with mould patches on the ceiling.

The receptionist looked up local places of interest to check to see the opening times and answered our many questions

The reception and restaurants have recently been upgraded an are very pleasant, food is of a good standard too.

All staff were very helpful, in fact they are some of the best I have ever come across.

Service was immediately fantastic from the hearty welcome by the lady on the front dest, to the assistance afforded by the house staff and the swift delivery of delicious evening meal from the bistro/restaurant into the open air beach side pergola.

Great value hotel with modern rooms, many of which have a balcony and view on the harbour.

The location is very good if you want to go to the beach.

The port area is nice with a numbers of good restaurants and bars .It is about 15 minutes walk to the beach at Castellon where the promenade has been upgraded and there is a lot of shady areas and picnic tables.

Great restaurants and beautiful beaches .I started with a standard room that was spacious and newly decorated and was upgraded for staying a whole week to a beautiful suite with an enormous balcony, breathtaking view.

We enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere of Grao (Castellon was only 1.05 Euro tram ride away), loved walking the esplanade, and to the beach. Recommend.

The room was big with a nice terrace with view over the harbour.

It had a fabulous view of the harbour and had been recently modernised.

We booked a room with a harbour view and got exactly what we expected.

We booked a New Style room which overlooked the harbour and restaurants.The room was quite spacious, bright and impeccable with a lovely view.
