however the shining light was the staff, in particular the fantastic waiter at breakfast (Kamal), who went out of his way to make sure I got a great view of the city and also suggesting I try a traditional Lebanese breakfast (which was absolutely delicious).

but this is not the key to my ahhh feeling around this hotel.

Safety checks at entrance and key card in elevator made me feel really safe.

After I did not want to leave my credit card at the desk, a guy appeared and emptied the Minibar and locked all the contents in a closed cupboard.

I dont know where to start when you get $400 stolen from the safe that was locked using 8 digit code and the security manager/duty manager all they can do is to say that theydid the investigation and couldnt find any lead to whom have stolen the money!

So slow and rather than putting a massage pop up banner on the middle elevator it would be better to have it operational.

I only have one comment regarding the internet connection, it was slow at room 412.

though was a bit slow and disconnected a lot of times.

but you will be surprised by the slow service.

Checkout was very slow, and i even had to ask what was the delay, considering it was 4am, so was very quiet.

The only downsides are breakfast, which I found average, and service in the bar / cafe area, which is slow.

Over my stay I has been eating breakfast daily here, fresh delicious foods, the Waiter Wael is very active and prepares the breakfast place early.

The breakfast was lovely with both international and local dishes - I especially appreciated the croissants with thyme!

The laundry room - the time i went to use this, it was so quiet i washed four loads simeoultaneously - it's a great option and is generally never busy - the breakfast was well stocked with both middle eastern and european options - the fact it was on til 1030/11 was also great.

Every single person in the hotel beyond helfpul, whether it was the Duty Manager, Guy at Breakfast or the security guards who let our cars park in front while we picked people up or dropped people off.

And if you don't want to leave the hotel there is a small pantry next to the reception

I had the misfortune of going through a life-threatening incident the 2nd day I arrived to Beirut.

The view from the balcony over the city and the sea is indescribable.

I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, particularly the view of the city and the sea.

The hotel hosts a swimming pool on the roof with an amazing view on the city.

The view from the pool alone is worth the stay as the hotel is atop a hill so overlooks most of the city.

It had a wide balcony with a panoramic view of the city, the mountains far away and the sea.

An outdoors  swimming pool at the top 23rd floor provides a wide angle of scenery, including sea view, city view, mountains view.

I staying on the 18th floor which had a nice view of the city line and the sea.

The pool and lounge area on the roof provides a relaxing and stunning view of the city of Beirut.

Just beautiful and the view over the city is amazing.

We also enjoyed the pool at the top with its clean water and magnificent views over the city.

We spent a bit of time on the roof top at the pool (there is something quite magical about sitting by a clear blue pool about the bustling noisy streets of a city)

The rooftop swimming pool was of good size in comparison to other rooftop pools at other hotels, yet they still claim the pool is heated where it is not.

but I think this is the best layout (specially the TV) - views of mountains and sea are spectacular, parking available and the rooftop pool is spectacular.

The breakfast buffet was delicious speciall the salads, the rooftop pool is so relaxing..you can stay there all day long..
Over all it was very nice to find a place like home.. won't stay at in any other hotel whenever I am in beirut..

Arrived earlier than expected, staff were very accommodating, we were allowed breakfast and the use of all the hotel facilities.

The only point I have to mention is the airport pick up and drop were not free of charge just at 44 Dollars each which was slightly high for a 20 minute drive.

I got a card gift from my husband on my birthday on January.I wouldn't be able to visit le royal due to a physical problem.

Wished it could be done online by a credit card.

Very bad customer experience because of a charge of $20 for wifi.

Seamless airport pick up - this despite the fact that I had to stay in a while processing my visa

The fee to obtain an extra internet device coverage was excessive in comparison to the charges at our prior Hotel stay in Beirut.

In addition to that they tried to charge some items from the minibar at the check out that I never consumed before they reversed after a long debate

However, they tried to charge us $11 USD for the privilege.

When I arrived I was having an issue with my card and found the person at the reception a bit rude.

although we had an outstanding full day spa, My wife and I did NOT like  the last impression upon our check out from the hotel (we stayed for 2 nights as honeymooners) - they charged us with 40$ (30 hours parking) and the currency exchange rate from USD to Lebanese Pound (KNOWING THAT THE ROOM RATE WAS GIVEN IN DOLLARS PRIOR TO CHECK IN).

The only downside was to find many of the guests experiencing incorrect bills at check-out, with items charged for which had not been consumed.

upon check out i discovered that i am charged 12 USD for my car parking  per day, and ended up paying 120 USD  for the stay,was never informed about so upon check in, too expensive and most of hotels in beirut dont charge for this.

And now, i am in the lobby checking out hesitated from leaving and charged with positiveness that hopefully will last.

Instead of the normal plastic credit card key, they give you a short pointed metal fob.

Wanted to call and blame them for charging 24000 LL per day and ruining my car.

but first this isnt a hotels limo nor does any hotel ive been in charge 3-4times the reg rate!

Lastly they charge if you park the car in the Hotel!

Far too many personnel were Arabic-only speakers (we even had to call the front desk to tell a cleaner to wait 15 minutes until we had left for dinner).

I should have been informed of this during the initial call.

And we were told that someone wanted to call us to address what happened.
