We walked everywhere from the hotel to Camp Nou and La Sagrada Familia.

We went to watch Barcelona play at Camp Nou and used the metro to get there.

The room was generally dark even the corridor despite having on all the lights On room.

But then you go to use the bathroom and toilet - it's very dark and suddenly the funky lighting doesn't work in your favour.

and the light of room was so dark and opened window was so narrow.

The hotel theme is modern, albeit a bit dark in places.

but light still comes through and around these so if (like me) you like a completely dark room you will notice this.

buttons, hot/warm lighting, and combinations (if you arrive tired and it’s too frustrating, remove the key card and it goes dark).

but lighting made the halls and room quite dark.

Decor was dark and corridors were unsettling as they are so dark.

Interior deco is a little dark, like a night club.

although I did find the lighting a little dark in the room.

My only complaints are the shower has a small glass partition that gets water all over the floor and the room can be a bit dark.

We booked a standard double room and it was a bit dark as the hotel is a high-rise building and there is not much natural light

The only let down was how dark the rooms were and sometimes the room smelt unpleasant.

Decor is minimalist and contemporary in neutral, dark colors.

Then only a 15 mins walk from the top of Las Ramblas.

Location was about a 30 min walk from most things such as the Cathedral and Barceloneta beach

We felt safe and were walking around town at 1 am.

As it turned out, it’s fun to walk around in Barcelona.

10 minute walk to the nearest tourist bus stop, beside the metro and just over the road to the Gothic Quarter.

A supermarket directly next door, and numerous small bars offering food within a couple of minutes walk.

The very second we walked into the hotel the welcome and service received, especially Federico was exceptional.

Location was fantastic walking distance to most of the tourist attractions, metro station literally as you walk out of the hotel which takes you all around the city and a bus stop 2 min walk away.

Only 25 minutes on the bus from Barcelona airport, which drops you a few minutes walk from the hotel.

The location is good and if you don't mind a 30 minute walk, most of the main attractions in Barcelona are an easy walking distance.

It's in a great area of Barcelona right outside a Metro station and within a 10 minute walk of lots of fantastic restaurants.

The location was a perfect home base for our days of walking and exploring Barcelona.

The main tourist roads were 10-15 minute walk from the hotel.

Location is good about 10-12 minutes walk to La Rambla.

Walking into the hotel I was greeted by Alessio and Roberto.

I personally tried temporarily closing the window tightly, and I felt a significant reduction in the noise.

The sound insulation of the windows facing to the street was not good enough.

However, the front desk assigned me a room with an internal window.

The curtains also do not close all the way so sleeping in is difficult with the light.

but opening the window during winter was effective enough unless there are noise in the public on New Year’s Eve.

Heavy traffic makes the room a bit noisy with thin windows.

The door in the balcony did not seal well and street noise was quite loud at times.

but it had a pane of glass that extended across about 1/3 of the tub length.)

but has powered blinds that can be closed with the touch of a button.

The only thing to complain about is that you can not turn off the lights themselves in the window which are switched on and off automatically.

Your privacy is furthermore respected and noise from the streets is filtered by soundproof windows.

but bathroom should have had a shower curtain as water leaks to floor.

The very cool miniblinds in the windows don't work--permanently.

Only things that would make this hotel the best would be to put blinds or a curtain on the shower glass wall, as in the bedroom you can see straight into the shower, as there is no privacy which wasn’t the best.

Also noted in other reviews, it was a bit irritating not being able to amend the blinds between the window panes.

A couple of other tips:

- Camp Nou and La Sagrada Familia are quite a walk away from the centre,

Wifi made it even nicer :) and of course the game at Camp Nou!

We used the tube to get the further afield places like Parc Guell, Camp Nou, Mount Tibidarbo etc.

Got taxis to Camp Nou and Fountains at Placa Espanol (must see!).

Only: No mini-fridge and the windows could not be opened :/ (one we could tilt only).

I would have Liked a small fridge in the room,

Hotel furnished to high standard except for lack of fridges in rooms.

Price Quality Ratio not sufficient (namely 180 euro per night off season) : e. G. No tea/coffee in room, nor refrigerator.

The only recommendation I would have is a small fridge in the room to keep water cold.

Would say that it would have been nice to have a kettle and small Fridge in the room.

My suggestion would be to have a small refrigerator in each guest room.

Breakfast was not our cup of tea, a lot of sweet.

Only thing stopping this from being a perfect score was a lack of kettle and tea options in the room

Added to the cons, the room doesn’t have any mini refrigerator neither does it a brush for cleaning the toilet.

Also no kettle facilities in room and only shower gel provided was disappointing and I expected more.

I expected a small refrigerator and a kettle in the room.

but be mindful that they don’t include toiletries or drink making facilities & the room does not have a fridge.

The amenities of this hotel are basic and rooms don’t include things like ice buckets, a small fridge, or an iron and ironing board.

The only thing i would say it is missing is a mini fridge, it would have been good to put our bottled water in there

A few down points - no fridge or kettle in the room (though apparently you could hire a kettle from reception) and the rooftop bar was pretty crowded when we visited.

Firstly, other reviews say that the location feels a little unsafe,

Unfortunately, the hotel seemed to be the location of the homeless so lots of daily Police presence.

And you need a key to access the front door/reception area of the hotel, so it stops any non-hotel guests from just wandering in.

The location is awful and feels unsafe with children.

A homeless man was camped out directly in front.

The hotel is located in a slightly scruffy neighbourhood

The only thing that got me concerned was the location of the hotel because of the neighbourhood it was kind of strange and dangerous until 20:00 it is fine,

It’s walking distance to La Rambla, the Gothic quarter and various metro stations (Paral-lel, Drassanes), so great for sightseeing, 

Negatives:
The street where the hotel is located is quite rough, you can easily see a bunch of homeless people not too far from the hotel entrance, and I didn’t feel safe walking back to the hotel after 8pm.

Very bad location, drug addicts next to hotel, street from center to hotel is shady, dark and you may feel insecure.

We had no trouble at all with the area, there were a few homeless people sleeping near the hotel at night

For those making comments about the area being dodgy or unsafe we just don’t get that at all.

Seemed to be an area of vulnerability as there were some homeless around,

The area directly around the hotel can be a little intimidating in the evenings - it is a dodgy part of town.

however some what basic & a watch out for the neighbourhood.

There are homeless people in the area, as there are in other areas of Barcelona

The major issue with this hotel is the neighbourhood.

The floor makes a lot of noise so the neighbours downstairs can hear everything.

We stayed at the Andante Hotel for our three-night trip to Barcelona because it has two metro stations—Drassanes and Paral•lel—within walking distances.

The hotel is in a great location as well, and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.

It was such a great experience   Barcelona is a good experience and the hotel was a great price and Everything was so close to walk to.

Ideally located a 10 minute walk from Las Ramblas, the Andante is a really nice hotel.

Best city break we had location a short walk to la Rambles enjoyed all 3 days.

The hotel was relatively easy to find, just a few minutes walk from 2 different metro stations.

Near enough T o some great areas to walk to .rooftop pool and bar area a great added bonus with superb views of the city.

Easily walked to Opera, later to port for cruise.

We were able to walk to the Cathedral and Palau de la Musica Catalonia.

Easy walking to tourist attractions near by and to hop on/off bus route.

Amazing location, coffee shop 365 nearby, 5 mins walk to metro and las ramblas and the pool area is so amazing for a cool down and rest.

We felt safe walking in all directions from the hotel.

The location is fantastic- just a 15 minute bus ride to the nearest beach and a 5 minute walk to the metro station and La Rambla.

Only a couple of minutes walk from La Rambla.

We walked to the Gothic Quarter and explored for hours.

It is set in a great location just a 5 minute walk from Las Ramblas and about 20 minutes from the harbour.

Apart from that bardelona is a beutiful city defo take the bus tour.camp nou much better than last time i was there (u2 concert ) again take plenty of money .

The fantastic metro service allowed us to visit all the sites in Barcelona, such as the famous markets, cathedral and New camp Nou!

but very nice , load of local tapas bars with good food, very quiet at nights , and the purpose of the trip was to go to the camp nou which made this trip perfect

It took 10 days and several dozen e-mails for them to admit that they had overcharged me by more than 400 euros.

The plastic of the card was of very poor quality, every day I had to go down to configure the room key.

Everything terrible, I been here for 10 nights and they stole me 100€ for my credit bank when I left , without telling me, when I called the hotel they told me it’s becouse smooking in the room when I don’t even smooke.

However, it is quite strange that they charge for wifi as an extra cost (unless you book it directly on their website).

This was not in the confirmation and only on the website you can find something in small prints saying taht you will be charged an amount

There is free WiFi, which is pretty bad and there is paid WiFi, which is said free on the holder of your key card,
but you get it only, if booking on their website.

Negative: They charge customers for WiFi while it is free all over the world even in small shops.

Second time we receive message with problem credit card.

I emailed Travelodge to ask about the pet charges.

The people working in here are not welcoming, they charge daily for wifi when is free in most of the hotels around the world you only have free wifi in the  lobby, my bathroom had a disabled chair full of fungus,  was disgusting.

Downside:
Wifi is horrible, the access card demagnitsed super fast.

I have a lot of problems in my check-in, the hotel doesn't accept payment with QRcode or MBway, just cash or credit card and your machine card is very old not work well.

No Go: They did immediately block more than 100€ on my credit card

Additional wifi charge per day like it was in 1990, and the signal is weak.

No storage and not enough sockets or charging points.

Paid in advance and every thing you purchase is billed immediatly so no extras on leaving.

Usually, they charge the room and you pay when you check-out.

Everyday they printed out maps so that our sightseeing went smoothly.Thoroughly recommended.We got the Hola Barcelona travel card for 5 days for unlimited travel including the Renfe Train to and from the airport .

but that’s it, one plug near the desk and one plug at one side of the bed, so if you like your phone charging at the side of you, one of you is going to need a very long cable!

Rooms are fairly basic no kettle or hair dryer needed to put a deposit down which I found strange.

On arrival into the room i see there was no kettle, tea or coffee making facility as pictured and offered on booking.

The travel lodge itself is very basic, no kettle or mini fridge in the room, no hair dryer and no safe and the showers are extremely small and the walls are paper thin.

We had to ask for a kettle and coffee/tea and no soaps etc are provided.

Unfortunately, there is no fridge and no balcony.

Not enough facilities like kettle, coffee, cupboard for clothes at rooms.

No proper mugs as been provided with paper cups n had to wash them for next use.

No fridge, no wardrobe, no bedside table no drawer, no coffee/tea maker.

but we had some problem without minibar in the Room.

requested a kettle at the time of booking only got one the next day only because I asked for it on arrival for my breakfast porridge,  wasn’t paying €10 for breakfast.

Certain amenities were also missing, including a kettle in the room (until we asked) and, curiously, no toilet brush! !

Shower not good, no closet, no blankets, no dryer, no wifi, no fridge, no english audio on the TV.

The walk to the underground isn't too far, and in all honesty I have to say that Barcelona has the best public transport system that I have ever experienced.

Good and accessible metro station is a 6-minute walk away.

Excellent location near to diferent places walking, facilities, cleaning, hospitality, sustentable, delicious breakfast buffet and the reception so kind.

However, the location is good as there is a metro station at less than 5 min. walk.

Booked this for a 1 night stay, not too far from the beach about a 5-10min walk.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of Barcelona, and just a 5 minute walk to the beach, and a hundred yards from a lovely street full of fantastic bars and restaurants.

It’s a 45 minute walk to the touristic center,

Good location, proper access to public transport and can walk to the beach.

A small parade of shops, bars and restaurants next to hotel and only a short walk to the beach.

Trying to make the reservation while on the ship with limited and undependable wifi, I made an error in the dates requested.

We actually had to sit in the lobby to answer emails because the Wi-Fi which we paid extra for didn’t work.

The more ironic thing is that you had to pay 4eu by day if you wanted wi-fi.

Therefore, we could not go downstairs to have a coffee, have a beer, to use the hotel wifi which was only available downstairs (unless you pay extra) or anything else in the hotel and dogs cannot be left alone in the room so what is the point?!

but nothing beats browsing through the net in the comfort of your bed.

Internet service is the one thing which need to be improved, because the quality of connection and availability is not good enough.

There could be more charging devices near the bed.

Hotel is only 4 stops on metro to camp nou, and easy to get to other attractions.

I would definately recommend this hotel, it is within walking distance to the city centre and camp nou, the tourist bus stops just outside the hotel, and there is a metro station if required

from Ramblas, Sagrada familia, Camp Nou, Suitable for all categories: business, family . ..

After the Camp Nou tour we hopped on the tour bus which was handy.

The main feature would be the roof top pool which has a stunning view and the hotel itself is in a perfect location for El Camp Nou, Las Ramblas and the Palace- all within walking distance.

The only downside is that it’s on a very busy road so quite noisy at night time.

Our room was on the 7th floor and overlooked the roundabout, which was quite noisy

The location is noisy, traffic and dustman in the early hours.

but the surrounds aren't, so the noise still comes in.

As it turned out, this worked to our advantage because the garden view room was extremely quiet at night whereas the city view room would likely have been somewhat noisy.

Only downside - no English speaking tv channels and i do like to have some for background noise.

Busy area - light sleepers may need earplugs to block out the early morning street cleaning noise -

On the street side of the hotel, there can be some noise from traffic, while the back side is very quiet.
