 - As a boutique hotel the decor is dark and the furniture minimalist
 - It’s quite dark, all black and white, perhaps not personally my favourite decor
 - I found the hotel to be a little dark.
 - Beware of the dark bathrooms - very trendy and once you find the toilet ( hidden door) they are fine
 - The only possible negative is that the hallways are very dark in some spots as is the lobby and business center.

 - Great roof top pool and lounge with a stunning view over Barcelona!
 - The view from the roof terrace is well worth taking the time to see.
 - I had a premium room no 316 on the 3rd floor; big, bright and comfortable, facing the square, with balcony and nice view.
 - The pool also had stunning views of the city.
 - The views are decent

 - Free afternoon tea and snacks.
 - Also the daily free snack and coffee was really nice!
 - A nice surprise was the free "tea time" in the afternoon which offered tea, coffee and some snacks starting from 17.
 - There is also ‘tea time’ offered at the hotel, so you can sit in their cafe / bar and have refreshments and light snacks for no additional cost.
 - Little perks such as welcome drinks and a happy hour with free snacks.

 - The location is excellent in El Born.
 - A lovely hotel in the centre of El Born with lots to see and do in the area.
 - Clean and comfortable hotel in a nice area of Barcelona (El Born), near Arc de Triomf.
 - The neighborhood of El Born itself is also super cool, and if I ever find myself visiting Barcelona again, I won't hesitate to book with Hotel Catalonia Born!
 - The location is great too, in the pedestrian zone of El Born, which many great restaurants, shops, and bars.

 - However, the walls between the rooms are on the skinny side, and we could thus clearly hear when the guys in the room next to us were arriving, conversing or going about with their business into the small hours of the night.
 - Our room was on the ground floor at the end of the corridor and the view from the window was of a wall, so had very little natural light.
 - Had an interior room so only window faced a blank wall.
 - There was a small window facing a wall and the walls were dark panels, so it was a very dark and drab room.

 - The rooftop pool had gorgeous views and was a lovely place to sit out in the sun.
 - Pool on the roof with sitting area , excellent views, sadly too cold in Feb to appreciate this fully

 - Only note is that the room was very small.
 - Super rooms- small
 - Our only quibble was the breakfast - we and a number of other guests were squashed into a very small room until one of the staff opened up the double doors to reveal a huge area that could have been used.
 - The rooms are small,
 - I did find the room to be very small.

 - And sometimes it was impossible to open the window because for our last 3-4 nights, there was a constant smell of weed coming from the courtyard.
 - The problem was solved by having the window open,
 - The only window looks out over the hotels courtyard containing a couple of tables and chairs.
 - Greatt room with 2 showers, a bath and an opening window.
 - Our room was on the ground floor at the end of the corridor and the view from the window was of a wall, so had very little natural light.
