Air conditioning was great and the rooftop was incredible with a beautiful view to Plaza d' España.

Great location on Plaza España, very close to a central metro station.

We always stay at B-Hotel because the staff is really friendly, the rooms are very clean, breakfast is super and it is well located next to the Plaza Espanya with lots of restaurants, bars and the Arenea Shopping Center.

The hotel is at the Plaza Espanja and there is metro station almost next to the hotel.

Good location, just a few metro stops from Las Rambla and close to the Plaza D’Spain metro station.

Prime location at Plaza Espanya, clean rooms, very reasonably priced & excellent value   With quality better than most 3 star hotels ^ would be perfect were it not for the impossible to work out light controls & shower as mentioned by several previously.

The hotel is situated 300m from Plaza Espanya.

We stayed here as part of our 20th anniversary trip and had mentioned this when we booked, to try and get a nice view of the plaza from our room.

Rooftop-Bar with pool was very nice with look over Plaza Espania.

Wonderful hotel - with fantastic facilities, super helpful staff and all in a central transport hub - getting to all the sights is really easy from Plaza Espana..

The Aerobus from the airport drops you off on the other side of the Plaza so you get off, look around you in awe and there it is - with a huge B on the roof by the pool, shining like a beacon.

but you can still order a drink to the top and have a drink looking over one of the main plazas.

The property is located centrally near Plaza Espana station and near nice restaurants etc.

The hotel was located right on plaza españa so it was very easy to move around the city from there.

The hotel also has a great rooftop pool and is located next to the Plaza d'Espagna so really easy to acces by metro or by Aerobus from the airport.

Big thanks for our upgrade to executive level;room was fantastic and the pool overlooking the plaza is a must.

The hotel is located by Arenas and Plaza España.

The only downside is that it’s on a very busy road so quite noisy at night time.

Our room was on the 7th floor and overlooked the roundabout, which was quite noisy

The location is noisy, traffic and dustman in the early hours.

but the surrounds aren't, so the noise still comes in.

As it turned out, this worked to our advantage because the garden view room was extremely quiet at night whereas the city view room would likely have been somewhat noisy.

Only downside - no English speaking tv channels and i do like to have some for background noise.

Busy area - light sleepers may need earplugs to block out the early morning street cleaning noise -

On the street side of the hotel, there can be some noise from traffic, while the back side is very quiet.

A lot of road works going on all over Barcelona when we travelled and although we where on the 6th floor it was very noisy from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm even on the Sunday so sleep was poor

No bar or hall area, a bit noisy for rooms above the street.

One minor problem is that when metro passes through, you can feel the vibration

Traffic noise isn’t as bad as people make out.

but the second room, though on the 6th floor, was just as noisy.

If you want a quiet room, choose one that does not look out over the Gran Via.

The only let down was the noise from outside - I get the location

Sometimes we could hear the noise of the underground passing under the hotel.

There is a LOT of noise from the metro and the road, as well as from the hall and elevator.

The only down side was my room was near the road so I could hear the traffic at night,

Rooftop pool and bar was amazing - great place to chill after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was good, only small criticism would be to cover the all the pastries, and the coffee from the machine wasn't great (but I got round that by using the Nescafe sachets with hot water!)

Rooftop pool is a must, shame it shuts at 9pm because you could finish your night sipping Cocktails.

Room was a decent size and cleaned everyday, there was a mini bar in the room with soft drinks and alcohol etc.

Wonderful touch was a bottle of Cava in the room on the day of our anniversary, thank you so much for that.

Upon arrival our room was spotless and the hotel was generally clean.

Great location very close to the Magic Fountain and about 20 minute walk from
 La Rambla.

It is also less than a 5 minute walk from a metro station, and just a little further the Magic Fountain is Montjuïc, which we visited multiple times during our stay for such a special experience.

We found lots of available public transport even on Christmas Day. Quick walk to the Magic Fountain and lovely central sqare with its fountain lit up at night.Our rooms were  well appointed, lovely bathroom, individual lighting, very comfortable mattress, variety of pillows, toiletries, mini fridge( which we asked to be emptied to store our own goodies bought in the local supermarket.)

I would thoroughly recommend the B Hotel to anyone vising Barcelona and in addition it is in a great location being near the shopping centre and the Magic Fountain

We enjoyed the 15-20min to Las Ramblas, and the Magic Fountain is a short walk away too.

Location is great- so much around to see and do inc the magic fountain, Olympic Park and easy metro ride to the beach and gothic quarter. We requested a city view and were able to access our room from 3pm ( we could’ve had a courtyard facing one earlier

Hotel is also close to the Montjunc attractions such as the MNAC, the Magic Fountain, Poble Espanyol, and the funicular up Montjunc.

Location is perfect right next to a metro stop, Olympic stadium and the magic fountain.

It is also 15 min brisk walk to the Magic Fountain and the Palace.

It is a 5 minute walk from the Magic fountain

The staff are lovely and it is very near to The National Art Gallery and The Magic Fountain display which is so amazing.

Near the Magic Fountain, a restaurant and shopping complex and over looks the Placa D'Espanya, which makes for beautiful views and a good range of places to go right by the hotel.

There is also Las Arenas mall right next door and Montjuic and the Magic Fountain are just a quick walk away.

The hotel is in a fantastic location next to the Bullring shopping centre and the magic fountain.

It was not until the following morning when we asked if the hotel had any tourist information that we where offered a small map only then did we realise that we practically opposite the Barcelona museum of art and the Magic fountain of Montjuic it is also only a few minuits in a taxi to La Rambla, Passeig de Gracia or the Sagrada Familia plus many more beautiful sights.

Hotel situated on plaza  espanya so plenty of shops and restaurants on your doorstep, as well as the magic fountain show.

Our room was OK, the safe was shocking a hole in the wall and advice on leaving valuables in reception is not what you want to hear the moment you arrive, and the curtain across a rail as a make shift wardrobe needs to be improved.

but modern, with a few weird quirks to figure out for lights and shower (the shower is transparent but there is switch by the sink to close the blinds and maintain your dignity)!

The room was great and it didn't take too long to figure out the remote lights and blinds.

but either at the bed or at then entrance to the room and to close the blinds between the batch and living are you need to find buttons above the sink
BREAKFAST - good selection of fruits, cereals, breads, pastries and a few hot items.

but cosy with a HUGE comfy bed - the bathroom did have a window with a blind that we couldn't figure out but it faced out to the side of the room so wasnt a big deal.

We eventually figured out that the controls to shut the blinds for it are by the bathroom mirror.

No matter what country you are in, you are generally able to work out how to operate light switches, faucets, blinds, etc.

but due to the street right in front it is a bit noisy even with closed windows.

There was a venetian blind in the window, But how to close it?

The window between the sleeping room and the bathroom was a little weird.

The only minus is no view from the window as all of them covered by big facade jalousie(

There’s a few things missing for top ranking in my opinion;
- Rooms facing the street are very loud even with windows closed.

which closed blinds, turned on/off lights, got the shower on/off.

but have electronic blinds you can adjust for privacy.

Took a while to work out the electric blinds in the shower and the inner toilet door didnt close properly,

and the glass wall between the bath/bed might be slightly disconcerting if you were sharing (but it does have a blind!)

The bathroom wall is made of glass, and you can open the blinds for extra light or close them for privacy.

One strange touch in the room was the motorized Venetian blinds between the shower and the rest of the room.

Wonderful green surroundings, beautiful green plants in the hotel.

It is also famous for vertical garden Oasis and rooftop Pool with palm tress and lush vegetation.

Loved the architecture of the building, breakfast was amazing, the staff friendly and helpful.

This hotel boasts one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in, with modern amenities and elegant décor and one of a kind shaped windows.

Rooms are reasonably sized although a bit clinical

It is such a special hotel and truly an piece of art.

but if you like modern clean-line design, this should fit your taste quite well.

As you noticed from the photo posted by me and other reviewers the architecture is quite different than most hotels.

Architecturally the hotel is impressive from the room windows to the overall design.

Facades of the hotel is decorated and designed with energy efficiency in mind with sunshades on the building resulting in minimal viewing outwards from the rooms.

Now to the good aspects:

- The design of the hotel is very cool, and the property has a vertical garden that runs through the entire central atrium complete with palm trees and other tropical vegetation.

The design of the hotel and especially  the windows in the rooms add to its unique atmosphere.

Once you get to your door, it would be best if you were a football player and you knew how to hit the door like a football tackling sled because you REALLY need to push that door with some strength!.

At least 2 of the doors did not latch as the guests entered or exited their room.

but oddly the shower and sink was in the main room (separated by a curtain from the bed area) with just the toilet closed off with a door like a cloakroom.

Meeting rooms smelled musty and smoky and the bathroom doors in the conference space were so dark and confusing.

Intentionally removed the “Do Not Disturbed “ sign so that our room will be freshened up when we come back in the evening after our day out 

However , upon our return , a “ Do Not Disturbed “ sign was hanged outside our door which was never there when we left .

Another lady comes by later and stands outside the door giving  me a bunch of towels and plastic bag of toiletries.

The room doors where hidden which made it hard to locate the room

The Do-Not-Disturb sign could be placed on my door,

The security guard of hotel present was inside the hotel doors and had no clue what happened so why did the hotel employed him in first place as a mannequin ? 2.

This is not a hotel that you want if you’d prefer to have the old city outside your door.

The walls and doors masking the shower are smoked or partly mirrored glass.

The doors to the bathroom are all glass so privacy could be an issue.

One odd thing, the lights are powered by placing a card in the card holder by the door,

The rooms had few technical issues (Shower door, AC..)

Room service came once when I was in the room and as soon as I opened the door she took the do not disturb sign and hung it outside for reasons I do not know.

Quite a task to open your room door as no handle and the tropical plant theme is emanated  on the corridor walls making it difficult to see where your room door is - also a very clever concept too!

Also i pointed our graffiti outside the fron door that was very vulgar and her response is “it’s not our property”.

Note: if you planning to take photo behind the elevator, make sure to hold the door because its emergency door therefore you cant open it from outside.

Very good restaurant with many different dishes.

At the Palmer restaurant on the 14th floor, we can enjoy the taste of Mediterranean cuisine with natural vegetation and panoramic views of the city.

The area is nice,  with a few great restaurants, and the commute into the city centre with the subway is cheap and quick.

There’s a great burger place across from the hotel.

The staff were friendly and the gentleman on reception really took time and care into explaining about the hotel and places to visit and best restaurants to eat at in the city.

We were very hungry and advised that the bar served food until 1 am.

We also tried out the restaurant in the hotel for dinner.

Also nice Indian restaurant recommended for tasty food.

Breakfast in the Palmer Restaurant on the 14th Level was enjoyable with a great variety of food from Iberian Ham, cold meats, hot dishes, fresh fruits, pastries, etc.

I would have also loved if the restaurant opened slightly earlier for dinner.

There is a mall across the street with several great restaurants upstairs.

Everything was fresh and delish and it kept you full until dinner.

Breakfast was provided daily with huge food item selection of excellent qualifies (they will probably have to do so considering there is very few dining selections around the hotel properties) which made my daily breakfast dining easily one of the highlights of this hotel.

We arrived early afternoon and decided to have lunch at the hotel restaurant.

While the food and the service of all the staff was great, the room was rather disappointing.

I had a great experience with everyone from the front desk, to the restaurant and housekeeping.

Has amenities with Kettle, room slippers, rope, safe - convenient location to metro and bus.

So, it is the most beloved place when there is a fair and even rooms including suites are fully booked..

The room was modern and clean, and while I would not rush to copy the bathroom design, we loved the large shower.

You assume the door has latched closed and your items are safe enclosed in your room.

Good clean place, room was spacious, well lit and comfortable.

Room was big, all white with a window shaped like a palm fond.

The room was definitely 5star worthy and reminds me a bit of the W brand.

I was upgraded to a higher floor premier room where space is ample and everything functioned nicely.

It is a very tall 28 floor building with luxurious rooms using high-end technology.

But I actually liked the open fresh air in the common areas while being able to retreat into my air conditioned room when it was too hot.

The vistas from most rooms are pretty cool, and you definitely get more m² for your money than in downtown.

In Barcelona, I would definitely recommend the Magic Fountain as must (on Friday & Thursday) which is also free!

Its three stops to Placa Espanya where the shopping centre in the old bull ring sits and close to the Magic Fountain which is on at weekends, there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and plenty of shopping.

From here it was just a 3 stop journey to Espanya station where you can change lines to pretty much anywhere in Barcelona, get on the sight-seeing buses, or go to the Arena (go up to the roof for the view of the MNAC, or see the Magic Fountain show at night (highly recommended)!

From it you are two stops from Plaza Espanya (the Magic Fountain) and connections to all of Barcelona's main TMB Metro lines.

The hotel room doors are not intuitive on how to open; my entire hotel room was black and I walked into the black glass wall in my room so many times at night, it’s also so hard to find the bathroom in your black room at night!

There is no wall in main entrance side, except two first floors.

The long wall in my room was all glass too.

The entrance to that sanctum was concealed behind a small knob on a mirrored wall.

It was 19 degrees and wall to wall sunshine.

The rooms are unusual being all white, with a curtain around the entire bed and glass partition walls.

The rooms are stark white with projection lights that throw plant designs shadows on the walls.

The window wall of our white room has a palm leaf cutout that can be covered with a palm leaf curtain &/or a blackout curtain.

Everything was white with very little decor and a large cement wall with a window that had a long thin window that I had to stand on my tiptoes, if I wanted to see out of.

It took me a while to figure out how to lower the blinds using a wall switch.

but the window had plaster design which looked like an explosion in the wall!

though pillows nice, room furniture just an uncomfortable built in banquette along walls.

NOTE: ALL windows in guest rooms are cut into the wall in the shape of palm treetops.

The bare stark white walls were not necessarily my aesthetic

but even more white except for the wall to ceiling HUGE mirror "wall" that separates the  bedroom / lounge area from the shower room.

Further, the hallways to the rooms are partly open with glass walls, giving you a feel of openness.

The bedrooms have unusual vegetation inspiration window and other glass, a two-toned chromatic effect and shower/bath area is separated from the living area with a transparent art glass wall.

To make matters worse, one "wall" of the shower is a mirror which is somewhat see through in both ways.

The rooms are all white (no picture), the shower is surrounded by glass (see through), the toilette is in a separate cubicle, of white walls and nothing else, no shelf to leave your hygienic products, etc  There is no real bathroom, the washbasin is next to the see-through shower,
