Our pool was closed due to construction which was a bummer

but during the morning the construction site next door started drilling which was too much noise for us.

However, you can hear your neighbors talking etc and the construction noise was insane (8am-8pm).

We had 2 rooms on the 2nd floor both right above the construction work and one of them also beside a room being renovate.

17 JAN 2017  I spent a night in a HOTEL that not only had construction going until the evening, the alley along the HOTEL had young adults loitering outside !!!

One caveat – there was construction noise from the adjacent property during limited mid-day hours on certain days,

Tons of construction noise while we were there.

We were never notified of noisy internal construction, nor was an apology issued. 3.

Our only issue was that they were doing construction on the room below which was noisy.

There appeared to be ongoing construction which got started at 9 am.

Unfortunately there was construction taking place which we were not warned about, so there was quite a lot of noise from drilling and banging during the day.

Just 5 minutes walk from las Ramblas and the Metro.

It’s within easy walking distance of The gothic neighborhood, Las Ramblas and many other great places.

First, the good bits: Great location with proximity to Las Ramblas and the Marina area.

My expectations were tempered due to the proximity to Las Ramblas,

We could easily walk to the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas, the harbour area and the beach.

Brilliant location for the marina and Las Ramblas.

The hotels location is good for the beach, old town or Las Ramblas is ideal for a city break away from the colder and wet climate of the UK..

The location is brilliant, 5 mins walk to las Ramblas and if you walk another 5 mins adjacent you go to the port restaurants which are brilliant, we ate in Terrazzo Revello which I highly recommend if you want an Italian.

Fab hotel well located for Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas and Marina.

It is in a quiet part of town overlooking the port area and short walks from Las Ramblas, the main shopping areas and the beach.

Excellent location, quiet, just off Las Ramblas and easy to walk to nearby attractions.

It is also walking distance to Las Ramblas and La Boqueria.

The location is perfect , in walking distance to old town and the Born , las ramblas placa catalunia etc.

The hotel has a great location along the waterfront, close to Las Ramblas.

Lovely accommodation, extremely friendly and helpful service staff and a location that was perfect for us - walking distance to top locations such as Las Ramblas, Barceloneta beaches, wonderful restaurants and La Boqueria Market.

The Duquesa is in the perfect Barcelona location with a view of the harbor and very short walking distance to so many wonderful restaurants, bars, shops, Las Ramblas, etc.

This is really nice hotel which is close to Las Ramblas,

It is ideally located near the Gothic quarter and Las Ramblas and near public transportation.

The hotel is in a fabulous location for restaurants and attractions.

Service is 5 stars, hotel is 4.5 stars, rooftop bar 5 stars, location 6 stars.

It is well located across from the harbour, it is clean, has lovely and large rooms, had a king size comfortable bed with good pillows and nice linens, and we fully recommend it.

The hotel is in a lovely position near to Port Vell and there are many good restaurants nearby.

The location is fine with a terrific roof top bar overlooking the harbor.

Everything from the wonderful location, cleanliness and above average customer service!

The hotel is in a well maintained old heritage building, in a perfect location between the gothic quarter and the water front/beaches.

The location of this hotel is great - walking distance to beach, on the edge of the Gothic district, close to Picasso museum, Barcelona cathedral, walking distance to La Sagrada (longer walk),  close to Metro trains and tons of shopping,  bars and restaurants.

Fantastic location easy walking distance to beach and city locations.

The location of the hotel was really convenviant.

We had a great time at the hotel, clean and modern, well located, friendly and amazing service.

Its located in Barri Gotic and close to our favourite district El Born.

Not only is this hotel in a wonderful location, it was exceptionally clean and very well run.

All that plus an excellent location, good rooms that can also accommodate a family, etc.

However, I need to take care of my car ( yes, the street in front of the hotel is quite busy and no parking space in the hotel).

Finally, if you had a car and needed somewhere to park, it wouldn’t be next to the hotel.

Also the parking for the car was just on the other side of the street.

It was full when we arrived so we had to park down by port olympic which had pre paid rates for 5 days for 60 Euro.

The hotel does not provide parking. But there is a parking lot across the street (not cheap.)

(We were parked illegally outside and the soldier next door gave us only a few min to drop off our stuff).

Parking is an issue: The hotel is located at a busy road and does not offer any parking facilities.

And don't forget to book a carpark lot just in front / Si vous venez en voiture réservez en ligne à l'avance votre place de parking : entrée en face de l'hôtel, compter 25 euros pour 24 heures, ce qui est, au vu des pratiques barcelonaises, tout à fait acceptable.

There is only one negative thing to say and that is that parking infront of the hotel is imposible.

I parked the car and returned to the hotel on foot.

Parking is very difficult and very expensive.

Although there was no parking, the car park was just over the road, and after finding the entrance !!

Parking is a nightmare so don't stay here if you are coming by car! !

Only downside was no parking so the public car park cost a bit!

but all parking in Barcelona is expensive).

The room was clean, bigger than expected, there was champagne waiting for us.

Excellent hotel,very friendly and welcoming, good for the city, Beach or for relaxing on the rooftop, rooms are excellent, lovely breakfast, staff very friendly and attentive, nothing is a problem.

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

The Premium room was spacious and was ideal for us .

Our room was extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were very good.

Welcoming, friendly staff, spotlessly clean room, lovely rooftop terrace restaurant/bar with gorgeous views.

They informed us it had arrived and placed it in our room!

The room was magnificent- and perfect for the last part of our vacation.

The rooms are beautiful and I can highly recommend this.

The rooms are good, we stayed in the new part of the hotel.

The hotel was beautiful, in a lovely old building and with a very comfortable room and great service.

This place feels quite new from the lobby to the room.

Family room was very spacious- 2 proper beds for the children.

Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant to the people who cleaned the rooms were extremely polite and accommodating.

Nice balcony/sitting area just outside our door, overlooking the lobby and out at the moored boats.

Large clean rooms, quiet property, beautiful rooftop and wonderful views I cannot say enough good things about this Hotel and its staff.

We had drinks and dinner on the rooftop, enjoying the beautiful views of the Barcelona harbor.

The rooftop bar and dipping pools are amazing with sweeping views of the yacht harbor, ocean in distance, gondolas, etc.

The roof terrace/pool and bar area had great views over the marina definitely worth a visit.

Loved the hotel, clean, friendly helpful staff and amazing view over the harbour.

The hotel is clean, located in a very convenient location, you have a great view to the harbor and La Rambla is just a block or two away.

Particularly the roof terrace restaurant is a must see, perfect views and very good food.

The location was all ready walk to the sea and Gothic quarter!Quarter!!

The hotel staff were excellent, the hotel food was excellent, the hotel itself was excellent and very nice and clean, the hotel rooftop bar was an excellent touch with a great view.

This time we got room no 11 with a nice view to the harbour,

Our waterfront facing room had double pane windows so very quiet at night, even with fun loving groups walking by at all hours.

Walls thin and the noise really travels so if you like real peace and quiet to sleep you may struggle.

The only slight criticism would be the rather thin walls! !

This room also has stains on the wall that I think that should be either painted or cleaned.

Our room could have been a little cleaner as there was a lot of dust that had settled on the walls.

Only downfall is the walls are VERY thin you can hear the neighbours do everything

Unfortunately, it has the thinnest walls you can imagine.

The walls are also paper thin and you can hear everything in the hallways and voices from surrounding rooms.

However, my only dislike was the that wall between our room and the one next door seemed to be too thin and the room was not soundproof enough to shut out the activities of the night outside as well as our neighbours.

Being on the first floor, the walls reached all the way up to the roof terrace, whcih meant natural light was very scarce.

There were three of us and the room was perfect as it had one king bed and two single beds against the opposite wall so noone had to snore in each others faces :)  The quality of the finishes everywhere was very high.

I think the rooms had been renovated last year and the hotel is in fact an old 'palace' which is brilliant as the walls and floors are really solid so no noise at all from other rooms!

There were some stains on the walls near the entrance of the room from drink spills and the wall socket next to the bed was loose.

They mentioned in the room description that window is looking at yard, in the reality it was a tube inside (in the center) the building 1.5 by 1,5 meters and you can only see the sky and rooms of your neiborhoods in the three other walls.

Rooms are relatively small and depressing due to the color of the walls.

We had a Junior Suite which is really two rooms combined with the wall removed.

but hallway in between and main door so we could have both our rooms open and walk back and forth.

Negative: A little noisy, small corridors and big heavy entrance door.

but were connected with a private hallway.

You can hear noise from the street below and from other guests and staff in the hallway.

My only complaint is that the walls were fairly thin between the room and the hallway and we could hear other hotel guests walking around early in the morning,

but was 'hiding' at the end of the corridor.

The hallways of our level were hot and stuffy as well, there seemed to be no air circulating on that level at all, it was hot in our room and even hotter getting out of the hotel.

but not from other rooms or the corridor.

however, so those preferring cozy and charming may not like the cool vibe and the slight smell of musk spray in the corridors.

The bathroom doesn't have a proper door - sliding doors so not very private when somebody is in there and in the bedroom the door is a mirror/door that you slide across - this doesn't block any noise out at night from the corridors!

Terribly hot inside the lift and on the corridors.

No breakfast included in the room, You can hear the conversation on the next room, you hear the people walking on the corridor, bathroom are very simple.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on next door, the floors are wood in the corridors so you can hear all people traffic and the fixtures feel like they are about to collapse.

The location was great as it was close to tremendous shopping, walking distance to Las Ramblas (but away from the crazy crowds), down the street from Placa de Catalunya, and close to plenty of restaurants.

Las Ramblas, Barcelona’s famous pedestrian street is a few minutes walk away that takes you to the beach about a mile away.

The location was good - just a couple of minutes walk from the metro and within walking distance of Las Ramblas and the old town.

Walking distance to almost everywhere; Old town, Las ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, etc.

The location is great with easy access to the metro, shops, Las Ramblas, and two Gaudy buildings.

It’s SO central, right across the street from the Gaudi houses and just about a 15 min walk from Las Ramblas, Mercado de la Boqueria, Gotica, El Call, etc.

but in the heart of the up-market shopping district and an easy walk to Las Ramblas / Gothic quarter, etc.

Right next to the high end stores and it’s close to Las Ramblas tourist area, yet far enough that you don’t get the spillover loudness and crazies.

The hotel is located in the Eixample area near Plaza Catalunya, La Pedrera, Las Ramblas, Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Plaza de Toros Monumental, etc etc.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, the location is super convenient; we walked to las ramblas, the harbor, the gothic quarter, and Sagrada Familia.

The location was superb- close to shops, tapas
places, Cortes Ingles Department Store, Las Ramblas, with the bus
and subway stop right out the front door.

Hotel Sixty Two is situated on elegant Passeig de Gracia across from Gaudi's Casa Batllo and in the midst of shops, restaurants and a comfortable walk to Las Ramblas.

It's also easily walkable to Las Ramblas, Born District, and other popular areas.

200 metres to the metro and about 10 minutes walk to Las Ramblas or you can take the metro.

City centre ..very close to Las Ramblas .

Within walking distance are a lot of restaurants, great shops, Casa Battlo and Las Ramblas.

From Hotel Sixtytwo we could spend an hour or two just wandering down Las Ramblas past La Boqueria market to the port and catch a Metro train back (in less than 10 minutes) if we'd had enough walking!

This place ia great if you want to go shopping in designer places and you can easily explore the nearby areas such as Las Ramblas and Gothic Quarter on foot and it's right opposite Casa Batlló.

It was very centrally located, walking distance to the main square and Las Ramblas, walking distance to the high-end shopping district, and MANY restaurants.

You are 10 minutes from Las Ramblas and the Gothic quarter, 20 minutes from the port, 30 from the beach and Sargada Famillia, an then maybe an hours walk from Parc Guell and Camp Nou.

the location is right in the golden mile surrounded by posh merchants and restaurants!

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing location!

Very nice hotel, location is perfect, walking distance to everything, lots of restaurants, coffee and shops, ice cream is just downstairs on the street!

Location is superb, minutes walking to subway stations and all the brand name shopping.

Great location on Passeig de Gracia-surrounded by stores, restaurants, and famous sites within walking distance-yet quiet.

Location is superb, you're in L'Eixample, right between two Gaudi sites and two metro stations.

(I wish I have better vocabularies to describe the room better) The location was even better, very close to subway and in the middle of Passage de Gracia, yet quite at night.

In addition, the hotel is located about 50 meters from a metro stop, so easy access to everywhere.

The location of the hotel is the best, close to everything you need.

The location was fantastic with everything around such as market, fast food restaurant,and citywalk.

The location is amazing and close to everything.

Fantastic location, excellent service, super friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel itself sits in the perfect location on Passeig de gracia.

We had a triple room which was roomy and sufficient for 3 people.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean!

The wheelchair accessable room was second to none including a private terrace.

Nice room with comfortable bed, shower is amazing, make me so relax after a long hot day!

They upgraded my room to one with a nice patio and was great!

Room was large and clean and included mini fridge.

I was welcomed with some cheese and grapes in the room.

The staff, room, and amenities were superb and top-notch.

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious.

If the room is available and you are hesitating, book it.

The room,  the staff, food, localization, etc is 5/5.

The interior design is modern and chic, the rooms are spotlessly clean.

The tow rooms can lock separately for privacy if needed.

We both had spacious family rooms, which are hard to find in European cities.

Rooms are decorated with exquisite taste; staff super friendly.

The room was very nice, clean, spacious and comfortable.

The only negative I could say, was that the suite sits literally outside the lift shaft. The lift being super fast (great when you want to get to breaky/outside or to your room!)

The wobbly sliding glass shower frame was also concerning, especially since it did not give you much room to get in and out with the toilet so close to it.

There are two drawbacks
- only "sliding" glass door to bathroom means almost no privacy.

The bathroom shower is more functional that we have experienced elsewhere in our travels, with a sliding door that keeps the room from flooding.

Sliding doors for everything which may seem heavy if you have any mobility limitations.

I heard that it's hidden behind the mirrored sliding door!

For example a sliding door for the wardrobe/hand basin would block the TV when slid open so that anyone else in the room could not watch TV.

Thirdly, the shower (which is great) is entered by a sliding door which annoyingly wouldn't stay open when you wanted it to.

The closet has a heavy sliding doors with double mirrors.

We didn't love the bathroom glass sliding door with no lock,

The only other negatives were no kettle - just Nespresso machine which cost 1.5 Euro a pop, a funny sliding wardrobe door which divided the room and got a bit annoying.

Then a closed off toilet room and the shower room, both with a shared sliding door, and the tub.

Breakfast let it down slightly, service was slow and quality of food not the best.

The only thing I would say is that they perhaps could do with another 1 or 2 people serving at breakfast as this could be a little slow,

No robes or slippers, dirty, sticky glasses on the shelf, inside wardrobe was all dusty, slow drains, shower was missing a part & low water pressure meant only a trickle came out.

It will take you only 10 min slow walk from Katalonya Sq.

there are only 2 laptops for shared use that were very slow and there was always a line (probably because they were so slow)

Tip: if coming from the airport, if you take the Aerobus, it's a bit of a walk with luggage, navigating through crowds, from Placa Cataluyna,

Couldn’t use Netflix or streaming services
