 - Absolutely gorgeous hotel with clean and spacious rooms, lovely staff, relaxing spa, and an amazing rooftop terrace and pool.
 - I didn’t get time to use the terrace and spa so this review is only based on the room / room service.
 - The amenities are amazing, the spa, quiet and clean, and the breakfast was delicious.
 - Of course, two saunas are available as well.
 - Beautiful hotel with rooftop pool and view, spa, great breakfest and lobby area.

 - The only problem was on the last morning there was a lack of hot water.
 - Let the shower run in the morning for AT LEAST five minutes, probably longer, to get properly hot water,
 - Hot water is a problem, and that just wasn’t my experience alone, even allowing for the curious plumbing fittings.
 - We had to run water for a good five Minutes-
 - The only issues we had was that it took several minutes for the hot water to run , reception staff told us that it was recent issue that was being fixed and the failure to access the BBC news channel on the TV .

 - The hotel's location on the Ramblas and on the edge of the Gothic Quarter couldn't be more central--everything we wanted to see and experience during our five days in Barcelona was within reasonable walking distance.
 - This can only be felt from rooms facing la ramblas and the restaurant - so keep in mind when booking.
 - Brilliantly located in the heart of La Ramblas ( apart from a little occasional metro rumble) the hotel exudes a genteel ambiance of olde worlde charm, style and beauty.

 - Plenty of options for a full breakfast with freshly baked bread, cheeses, meats, danishes, fruit, yogurt eggs, bacon etc This hotel is closer to La Sagrada Familia (20 minute walk) than Las Ramblas which we felt was safer for walking around at night.
 - Sagrada Familia is the closest tourist site, about a 15 minute walk, and the Gothic Quarter and las Ramblas are about 35 minutes to walk to.

 - I would not recommend a room towards the patio where you have no view at all.

 - but very expensive and the portions are tiny.
 - Additionally breakfast is very expensive, $50 per person so recommend an inclusive rate.
 - The carpet throughout, particularly the first floor lifts are third world, like shocking to see carpet like that… Overall the hotel needs to replace some worn out elements, hardly expensive and put basic things in the room.

 - However I then saw other guests smoking and throwing cigarette
 - Although it did have a slightly foul odor in it that was odd.
 - Plus it Smelled so bad ( cigarette), the table was stained and not clean and the bed was full of feather.
 - Right away the room smelled GREAT (their signature room spray which they also sell) Im not sure why the 1st 2 rooms didn’t have this scent.

 - La Rambla 30 seconds away, the beach is 10-15 minute walk, the Gothic Quarter 5 minute walk, Arc De Triumph 10 minutes and La Sagrada Famiglia a 20 minute walk.
 - even though the hotel is so close to La Rambla, the only sounds are birds and church bells.
 - The hotel is Midway up the La Rambla.
 - Nice location in la rambla, beautiful garden, and most of all, helpful and kind staffs including Edu, Mauro, and the woman with permed blond hair who helped us so kindly.
 - The location could not be better: right on La Rambla, by Liceu metro station and Boqueira market.

 - Surprising because it’s only frontage is the front door which leads into a marble corridor to reception.
 - It took 30 minutes for someone to come fix our door - by that time we had missed a tour we booked.
 - Although the complex beyond the front door was dated in other ways and the age shows.
 - they upgraded us to a larger room for a small fee, they handled our luggage, woke us up and called us a cab right to the front door.
 - To start, I felt very sick from a rough flight when I arrived and was greeted at the door by Edu.

 - Javier, our bartender/waiter, was fantastic and very attentive to our needs.
 - But the best thing that made our evening was the warm , hospitable and professional attitude from Javier the waiter .

 - The location of the hotel made it easy for us to walk to several great tourist spots including the beach and the local market (Mercat de la Barceloneta) which was incredible as well.
 - the market is also very close and there is lots to do nearby.
 - The location could not be better: right on La Rambla, by Liceu metro station and Boqueira market.
 - We were able to walk to so many places-The Cathedral of Barcelona, Placa Catalunya, St Josephs Market, and shops and restaurants too numerous to count.
 - The location was wonderful, just off the Ramblas and very near to the market bearing its name.
