Advice regarding the Metro and Camp Nou ensured our experience was perfect!

We did all the usual sights, Camp Nou, Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, Barcelona Cathedral,Parc de la Cuitadella and even the Zoo!

The transport link right outside took us straight to Camp Nou for only 2.15 Euro and was very easy to understand.

Watched El Clasico at the Camp Nou which is a must if you ever have the opportunity to go.

Bus link to Nue Camp and Airport was just outside the hotel.

It is also near the green line of the metro which runs straight to the nou camp which was convenient for us as we went to watch barca play psg.

although drinks are a bit pricey 
Location is ideal being central for the ramblas, marina,,beach and metro station within 10 minutes walk should you be going to Nou Camp or other locations farther afield
I'd recommend this hotel

We hit most of the must-see attractions including:

The hotel is in a fabulous location for restaurants and attractions.

Service is 5 stars, hotel is 4.5 stars, rooftop bar 5 stars, location 6 stars.

It is well located across from the harbour, it is clean, has lovely and large rooms, had a king size comfortable bed with good pillows and nice linens, and we fully recommend it.

The hotel is in a lovely position near to Port Vell and there are many good restaurants nearby.

The location is fine with a terrific roof top bar overlooking the harbor.

Everything from the wonderful location, cleanliness and above average customer service!

The hotel is in a well maintained old heritage building, in a perfect location between the gothic quarter and the water front/beaches.

The location of this hotel is great - walking distance to beach, on the edge of the Gothic district, close to Picasso museum, Barcelona cathedral, walking distance to La Sagrada (longer walk),  close to Metro trains and tons of shopping,  bars and restaurants.

Fantastic location easy walking distance to beach and city locations.

The location of the hotel was really convenviant.

We had a great time at the hotel, clean and modern, well located, friendly and amazing service.

Its located in Barri Gotic and close to our favourite district El Born.

Not only is this hotel in a wonderful location, it was exceptionally clean and very well run.

The hotel was beautiful, in a lovely old building and with a very comfortable room and great service.

This place feels quite new from the lobby to the room.

Family room was very spacious- 2 proper beds for the children.

Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant to the people who cleaned the rooms were extremely polite and accommodating.

However the pools are hilariously small and any room located near the service elevator is probably pretty noisy in the morning.

But our room was small, with no view, the window overlooked an alley and had a curtain pulled shut for privacy, which made the whole room dark.

Only disappointment, was the room was a little small for the price paid - not like those pictures.

The hotel is small and only has 30 rooms.

The hotel offered a room for three adults and a fair rate (though the room was a bit small and had limited drawer/closet space.

Our room was very small and felt congested.

If you get a high room and a small tree you are set!!

The terrace in the room was too tiny to use

The rooms are small and very dark with just a small glass door for light and you can see the man in his bed opposite in the run down apartments.

The room we had was tiny and with a view straight into the neighbours flat.

Staff was all smiles and very friendly and helpful.

but that just added to the atmosphere The staff are really friendly and helpful.

As far as arriving and departing, we were able to leave our bags with the concierge when we arrived far too early to check in.

Staff was always at hand to help with luggage , hail a taxi , help with getting around the city !

The reception staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is great particularly the staff.

We were so warmly greeted by Emilio and during our four days stay, he was a continual resource.

Breakfast was delightful- both attendants were wonderfully helpful.

The reception team are exceptional, especially Enrico, who went above and beyond to make our stay an absolute pleasure.

Immediately on arrival, we were welcomed by Ruben and Mar.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, always happy.

There is music late at night on the roof and noise in the street,

but we were on the first floor, which was a bit noisy from street and sidewalk traffic.

Our room was very nice even facing the busy road and could hear noise,

The only negative would be that the front rooms facing the street can be noisy, however I knew this would be the case,

There was a very narrow balcony with the only room to stand with no seeds or table there was a very narrow balcony with only room to stand with no seats or table However as I mentioned above we could not open this door at night due to the road noise.

However the double glazing blocked completely all sound from the street.

The only thing I would change is to stay on a higher floor next time (I was on the 2nd floor), as the noise from the street below me carried into my room when trying to sleep my last night.

though we overlooked a sometimes busy street we barely heard any street noise with the dual windows.

Our room was unfortunately located above that street which was very noisy at night

Although we were warned that night noise is high in Barcelona we would have wished that our room would have been more protected from street noise which never seemed to stop

We were on the second floor facing the street so it got a little noisy at times.

but the glazing meant that we couldn't hear the noise from the road at all.

If you put two suitcases on the ground then you don't have much space to walk at all. But my biggest issue was the noise from the street (Barcelona is loud everywhere!)

Lower floors I expect suffer from some street noise later as the bars stay open until the early hours

The location for us was perfect.

Ask for a sea view room as the rooms on street can be quite noisy.

.. forward facing rooms get some road noise and unless you are on the top floor, the trees obscure the views of the marina.

Nice balcony/sitting area just outside our door, overlooking the lobby and out at the moored boats.

Large clean rooms, quiet property, beautiful rooftop and wonderful views I cannot say enough good things about this Hotel and its staff.

We had drinks and dinner on the rooftop, enjoying the beautiful views of the Barcelona harbor.

The rooftop bar and dipping pools are amazing with sweeping views of the yacht harbor, ocean in distance, gondolas, etc.

The roof terrace/pool and bar area had great views over the marina definitely worth a visit.

Loved the hotel, clean, friendly helpful staff and amazing view over the harbour.

The hotel is clean, located in a very convenient location, you have a great view to the harbor and La Rambla is just a block or two away.

Particularly the roof terrace restaurant is a must see, perfect views and very good food.

Stunning views and dj’s make the night simply perfect.

The location was all ready walk to the sea and Gothic quarter!Quarter!!

The hotel staff were excellent, the hotel food was excellent, the hotel itself was excellent and very nice and clean, the hotel rooftop bar was an excellent touch with a great view.

This time we got room no 11 with a nice view to the harbour,

Our waterfront facing room had double pane windows so very quiet at night, even with fun loving groups walking by at all hours.

Family rooms are spacious with proper single beds for the children (not sofa or camp beds) and the mattresses/pillows are comfortable.

We went with TUI on the day/might trip and went to the Camp Nou, the Spanish village the sagrada familia which was amazing and topped off by the amazing fountain show.

We also went to Barcelona for the day and done the Nou camp stadium tour. .

we did a day trip to Barcelona and nou camp which was enjoyable and was something different!

After the Nou Camp and sightseeing we finished up at the Magic Fountains which again we would strongly recommend.

nou camp and barcelona zoo is a must the zoo is fab.

As a group of lads that love football, they were able to sort out a trip for us to go to the Nou Camp (approx 2hrs coach trip from Salou) to watch Barcelona play Celtic which was the highlight of the trip.

Although we had this the actual hotel was a good base camp for going to the park and to the beach.

It was a camp bed I was sleeping in, my kids were fine and they had the main beds.

Also extra bed was like a camp bed with big metal bars at the top which were extremely uncomfortable.

Room quite dusty around room / behind doors, beds not made to same standard

As this was the case the glass doors at the entrance to the pool grounds were open and there was some patio furniture right on the other side of the glass doors so we chose to sit there for a few minutes.

Just a suggestion, could there be 1 member of staff who hangs around at 9am after the doors are opened and anyone they see putting towels on sunbeds and immediately going for breakfast tell them that its not allowed and if they dont listen put their towel in a basket.

There were also not enough sunbeds and parasols for everyone, which meant it was complete chaos when the doors eventually opened.

There are nowhere near enough sun loungers and even less parasols, it was like a Black Friday sale when the doors  to the pool were opened.

There aren’t enough beds to guest ratio so people line up in reception from around 8am and then the doors open at 9am.

One tip I’d give is to be prepared for sunbed stampede- the doors open at 9 and there is a mad rush for sunbeds!!

People queue up in the morning for the sunbeds as the doors are locked and the pool gets very busy and loud during the day.

but not if want play water polo there not allowed also massive q for sun beds in morning door open at 9 people q since 8.30 another thing evening entertainment for kids start at 9.30 even do all kids outside running up down since after dinner 8.30 that goes on time 10 them adults shows come on till well after 11 noise racket if bedroom which my one was so close to stage you could not sleep very difficult for families with young baby's so think need up there game with activities for kids .

The food is unreal, I got a sneak peak behind scenes of kitchen whilst door was ajar the kitchen looks like a laboratory,  so clean.

When another room closed their door, my headboard would shake.

The noise (and the real let down of the hotel) from 7:00/7:30AM was absolutely unbelievable though, slamming doors continued all day, running and screaming kids in the corridors, banging of chairs/wardrobes and noise through the walls was insane.

You can hear every door slam, every person walking down the corridors, midnight and kids are running up and down the halls, quite a noisy hotel in general, slept with ear plugs in.

These can fit maybe 3-4 people, 5 if you're lucky (that's without suitcases) and take forever, partly because there's no door close

Then the other noise began, people banging doors and shouting on the corridors.

I was shocked at how they could just come through the door without knocking and it felt as

I’d advise leaving the “do not disturb” on the door, as room service arrived at 08:45, so no chance of a lie in!!

but expected has people wanted spaces by pool maybe let few people out at time has I found being at front of line did you no justice has once doors open people run from the back past you, which was annoying, but this wouldn’t stop me from returning.

As for trying to get a sunbed the situation is beyond belief and needs some urgent attention   with people queing up from 8.00 am ( doors open at 9.00 pm ) , we would normally go down  about 8.50 and were always at the back of a long queue usually going out of the hotel entrance onto the steps.

The morning race for the loungers and umbrellas is a pain, basically you end up queuing at around 8:15 (any later and good luck getting anything) and then when the door opens it is an elbows out race to grab what you can.

Entertainment was fab, we are family of 2+2 (8 and 14) and they loved it, the girl who does kids entertainment is outstanding - great energy!

She is amazing with everyone especially the Elderly and children.

My wife and I booked a 4 night break for a last munite get away with our 2 grown up sons.

Charlie was brilliant and my son followed him everywhere.

I stayed for a week half board with my daughter.

The restaurant has a good variety of decent food even for kids.

The other pool was a children's pool in the same area and so the same comments apply.

We even enjoyed the mini disco and baby shark songs!

but our son did take part in the water polo and volleyball a couple of times and really enjoyed it.

My daughter and her friends stayed in your hotel.

Approx £35 return for 2 adults and 2 kids.

They took the time to get to know our children and would come looking for our eldest to join in with the activities.

Our children loved the pick and mix each evening and I was able to take apples out for snacks during the day.

We went as a large group 6 Adults 2 Children (9 & 2).

The hotel is wicked we now will return with the kids in August.

The other toaster is terrible, 4 times for the bread to toast is too long and leads to queues.

the toasters need disposing of, you have to put your toast in 4 times to create toast or its still just bread, as you can imagine this creates a big queue.

In the morning queuing for coffee machine can be a pain due to lengthy queues depending on the time and small cups don't help we ended up having to get 2 at a time.

We usually ate around 8.00pm and did not have  to queue for long for the evening dinner and food was replenished frequently.

but not enough parasols, pool doesn't open till 9am people start queueing form 7/7 30am then it's was a mad dash for parasols with the odd few appearing at almost 9 to make the dash was quite annoying, in 30 years this was my first experience of the queueing business i will doing better research in future.

but when others in the queue confirmed that I did, he insisted I paid for it again!

Sunbed situation not too bad, we never queued, was busy

You have to queue in reception for sun-loungers before the pool opens at 9am.

The pool 1st thing in the morning did have a Queue for getting Sunbeds and I found this quite amusing while having breakfast, we never went to the pool in the mornings opting to do other activities

but I will be back to this hotel 
For anyone that is going to this hotel if u have anyone with disabilities and u are going to PortAventura please bring doctor letters and ID to the park so u can get the disability fast pass to all the rides if u don’t have this you will be refused it when u go up to queuing in the line at the disability desk just a bit of extra advice

There was a queue for sun loungers before the pool opened at 9am and it was the usual story of people reserving sun loungers and not using them for some time after.

Inside seating area not very comfortable at all and lack of staff on the bar at night made queues very long waiting for a drink.

Unless you are queueing for at least an hour before the pool opens at 9am you will not be guaranteed a parasol.

People queueing for dessert and once you get there things had run out - not what you want on holiday!

The only thing I would fault is that there are not enough sun parasols, which led to huge ques from 8 am and a dash to get an umbrella

Entertainment staff were brilliant and very friendly!

We had read some bad reviews about the food and large queues in the restaurant,

Unless you don’t get a fast pass, then you will queue all day to go on two rides.

but at busy times it was a bit hectic and queues to get into restaurant.

The management will just say that there is no need to queue,

Food options were good, typical buffet style.

Breakfast had a large range of hot/cold food.

Excellent venue, great location, food was good at times.

Few newer restaurant staff on 2nd yr who weren’t as customer focussed

Whilst on holiday not everyone has a well planned itinerary to know where they will be the following day or days to swap their meals!

Food was great and a fantastic variety all the time.

Overall we found the food to be good, there is some variety each day

Lots of positives about this hotel, location cleanliness and staff, the food was okay

The restaurant staff were also very helpful.

Each evening there was a choice of chicken, fish, pasta, meat, soup, salad, vegetables, sea food and chips so everyone taste was accommodated for.

We didn’t go to entertainment so can’t comment
We were half board and food was very good.

From the moment we arrived to the last goodbye this hotel was 100%.. Staff happy, friendly nothing was any bother.. food was catered for all tastes even those that forget they are on holiday in a foreign country lol.. 😉 Only issue and to be honest it's not really an issue is its a long way t walk if ya love the beach.. the going there is OK

Stayed half board and the food was genuinely impressive.

Restaurant and reception staff all very nice and helpful: all to be commended.

Food was excellent with a variety of things every morning and night.

There was a great variety of food each day/night, always something for everyone.

but the food temperature is never quite right  (even if you’re first in the queue).

There was a good choice for the breakfast and evening meals, there was always pizza, chips and plain pasta on the evening, im the fussy eater in the family and always found plenty of options.

Room cleaned every day, housekeeping staff were so lovely and friendly.

Staff helpful and friendly would have a free kettle had to pay 4 euros per day to have one in room went out and bought own milk and teabags, etc.

Room very clean and had an extra bed in it which was an added bonus.

but it is very compact and a bit of a squeeze

Would I recommend this hotel.

Our room was excellent and was on the 5th floor just below the roof top terrace, we had a lovely view looking over to Port Aventura.

though 😳 After being awake since 3am travelling not ideal, check in was slow 
Room was nice, very clean.

Pool area, restaurants, lobby were always spotless and rooms cleaned daily.

Our room was on 4th floor, lifts always worked and no noise heard

1 room ready around 11am and second around 2pm both next to each other on top floor as requested.

The hotel staff were so polite and helpful, the maids cleaned your

We had a family room which had 4 beds in and was very spacious (363).

Our room was very nicely decorated and we were very impressed!

This was the case in all areas of the hotel including around the pool, in our room and in the main bar. 3.

The highlight of my holiday was all down to an amazing member of the Animation or entertainment team Elena.

but absolutely no-one went above and beyond, if you didnt greet them then they wouldnt smile or speak and as for the so called entertainment staff, who are they!!
