The bar on premises is closed on Sunday's and Monday's which is a bit of a bummer

Travelers tip 2: when planning your activities in Barcelona, keep in mind that many places are closed on Sunday.

The elevators, halls and rooms feel closed.

We had the drapes closed for privacy most of the time so the room had a cave-like feel to it.

but be aware that the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The area is then closed for an hour, allowing the staff to remove breakfast and ready the area for the rest of the day.

We had the "city suite," and it was huge when the sofa bed was closed.

We didn't make use of the downstairs area as it was closed during our stay -

At 11:30, breakfast closed and an extensive choice of snacks, salad, soup, and drinks were available - all at no extra cost.

but once the doors to the balconies were closed, you could not hear a thing.

Because it was a holiday, many sites and restaurants were closed.

The kids did not like the fact that the sliding door separating the bathroom and bedroom did not close fully due to the design of the hanging rail around the wall which meant the door had no lock and a very small gap was left when closed.

however our adapter kept falling out when we closed the safe door.

Unfortunately, the restaurant next door was closed 2 of the 3 nights I was there and  I did not have a reservation for the first night.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed while we were there,

The bedroom was dead quiet and so dark that it became too easy to sleep too long.

A bit concerned because the photos showed what appeared to be a dark (red walls) & smallish room.

I would recommend an upper floor as the 1st floor is a bit dark (and I was on the 'city view' side) and noisy if you have your windows open.

Everything was dark red and black not very inviting in my own personal view.

The only thing to note about the room is that it’s a bit dark and faces the street.

If I had one nit-pick it's that the room was rather dark, and there was an area of the room that wasn't lit at all.

My husband was able to sit up and watch tv while I went off to sleep in a dark room.

but to get to hotel you had to walk about 3 blocks  down a very dark narrow street/alley.

You can make the room as bright or dark as you want with the roll down blinds.

Perhaps the most important is that there is no clock that can be read in the dark so it is impossible to know the time with the shades drawn unless you turn on your cell phone.

but very dark due to red and black decor and lack of enough natural light.

Lighting could have been better as the bedroom was a little dark.

Rooms in the A part comprise 2 parts: a bedroom with bath facing the vertical gardens (very quiet,but a bit on the dark side) and across the floor a small living area with a hammock (this side faces a small road well frequented also in the night).

At first the bedroom feels a bit dark as there are no windows,

although this view and red colour of bedroom make this place rather dark.

The main reason I could not give it 5 stars was because the room was so dark with harsh lighting and it got very little natural daylight which kind of spoilt the experience.

Great location just a few blocks from La Rambla and the market.

Location, location, location just minutes away from La Rambla with easy access to shops, restaurants and transportation nearby.

It is conveniently located near La Rambla and other attractions.

The location of the hotel is perfect - on a quaint side street just off  La Rambla a stones throw from Plaza de Catalunya which is a main hub.

The hotel’s location was very convenient, with the Plaça de Catalunya, La Rambla, and Passeig de Gràcia all within walking distance.

Reasons to stay here:
-Location: You're a mere 5 minutes away from La Rambla, La Boqueria, and the metro.

This hotel is in a quiet street in El Raval, a two block walk to La Rambla.

Centrally located, you can walk to most major sites (La Rambla was only two blocks away), with local cafes and wonderful restaurants nearby.

The hotel is in an excellent location - just steps from La Rambla with lots of nearby restaurants, cafes and shops.

but this one was exceptional, and we enjoyed the short walk to La Rambla and all of the nearby restaurants, shops and cafes.

This hotel is in the perfect area on a very quaint, small picturesque block, near La Rambla - I can’t say enough about the staff - Milos Vlad Angelica Daniel - so helpful !!!

Perfect location, just a few minutes off La Rambla, 10 minutes walk to the Aerobus airport transfer and a perfect spot to explore all around Barcelona.

It was just a few minutes walk to La Rambla so the location was good too.

The location is great, a few minutes off Las Ramblas in El Raval, not far from the Plaza de Catalunya, and a fairly easy walk to the beach.

Casa Camper was very central, a 5 minute walk away from Plaza de Catalunya, where you could catch the metro to just about anywhere in the city.

Location is within walking distance to plaza de catalunya.

Super close to Plaza de Catalunya, so very easy to get around.

It's a very short walk to La Rambla and Plaza de Catalunya, which is the center point of the city.

Reception is helpful and accommodating with tourist advice and  restaurant bookings.

Food service staff and other front desk Staff were equally helpful and warm.

The breakfast is very good and the all day/night snack and sandwich choices is very helpful to our stay.

Need directions, help with the Metro, need a taxi, where to eat, etc.

The snack bar is super generous with actual food including sandwiches, salads, fruit, hot and cold beverages, etc.

It was the first hotel I’ve stayed in that included food from 7am to 5am.

Alcohol is chargeable yet all soft drinks are free.

It is just a couple hundred yards off The Ramblas, meaning you have fast access to the gothic quarter, the market as well as hundreds of restaurants, and cafes.

There's a great rooftop honesty bar too for relaxing as well as the cocktail bar which is worth a visit.

but it is very convenient, just off the Rambla, near many tourist sites and great restaurants.

(seriously, the assortment of food and drinks was astounding) and it's all complimentary.

Breakfast choices were extensive; complimentary food & drink were available all day.

but felt close to restaurants, shops, ect.

The hotel has a cocktail bar with a very talented bartender in the basement.

Hot made to order breakfasts and all day yummy snacks are included - like salads, sandwiches, tiramisu, yogurt, etc.

Comfortable rooms, great staff, complimentary food and drink after 12.30pm, the roof terrace, the rain shower on the roof, the location, great chef who cooks your breakfast to order.

There are soft drinks and snacks available all day I think and there’s a really lovely roof terrace with an honesty bar.

The front desk was more than accommodating on all requests, the bartender downstairs was excellent and the terrace was a welcomed area to relax.

The terrace of the Honesty Bar is also lovely, with great views of the city.

The terrace on the top floor is great - it has a really nice honor bar - the breakfast and snack situation is one of the best ever - overall great stay

There was a lovely rooftop terrace with a beautiful view, honour bar and seating areas.

Snacks and drinks are available all day both downstairs and on the terrace.

Breakfast had many things to choose from and The Honesty Bar was so convenient in the evening to sit on the terrace and relax.

Be sure to enjoy the 6th floor terrace - we almost missed it!! !

24 hr complimentary, help yourself snacks & drinks; such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, sweets, waters, sodas, tea, coffee - terrific when you just need simple, healthy choices without having to think and transact

Rooftop terrace, honesty bar - we used this on our first night when we were jaded and just wanted an easy drink without having to think.

What makes this a standout is 24-7 snacks (enough for a light lunch or dinner), a cooked breakfast, and a lovely terrace with a great view.

The roof terrace in particular is a gem and is worth spending time up there on a lounger or enjoying a drink from the honesty bar.

At the end of a long day exploring, it was a joy to sit on the roof top terrace and enjoy the view while relaxing with a glass of wine from the honesty bar.

As for the mini-bar, Casa Camper replaces it with another unique and customer friendly idea.

Chalk up another 5-star review for the place - this unique, centrally-located spot with it's all-you-can-eat offerings really can't be beat.

The high ratings were justified by the friendly staff, great location and unique offerings.

Very unique hotel with large room plus a second room/lounge with hammock and Juliette balcony.

Then the really unique things that eliminate all the irritating things about hotels.

We LOVED the unique layout of the room in this hotel with the lounge across the hallway. My daughter absolutely loved the hammock and amazingly slept in it all night (possibly because we were totally jet lagged!)

To the unique design of the rooms (a bedroom and a separate lounge with a hammock:) to the minimalistic design that is so modern.

Also discount offered on their equally unique shoes at the Camper store a few doors down.

A unique experience and philosophy with this hotel.

We found Casa Camper to be a truly unique travelers hotel.

The King City View room is very spacious with high ceiling and unique city view.

The room setup we chose is unique, at least as far as I have seen.

Located in a nook of a street in El Ravel, off the Rambla, this hotel is unique, friendly, clean and gracious.

There is a unique separate little living room with hammock and small balcony across the corridor from the bedroom.

Check in went smoothly - the room is a bit unique in that you have the main room and then across the corridor you have a second room, sort of a lounge area with a couch, table, hammock and another tv.

Great room with unique touches (hammock, Camper sandals, design).

We had a delightful stay in this modern, unique hotel.

Located minutes off Las Rambalas, this hotel is unique, and one of the best we have stayed in.

The Honesty Bar was unique and a great way to end a kind day of sightseeing.

The rooftop pool and bar was an added bonus with views over Barcelona, Glories tower and Sagrada Familia.

Good view and a decent pool, good rooftop bar, excellent breakfast and very comfortable rooms.

Special mention to Andrea, the Italian guy working on rooftop bar, for his kindness, efficiency, smile and availability.

The rooftop bar and pool has amazing views over the city.

There was also a rooftop pool bar and restaurant which was good and prices were normally done

We also went to the roof terrace, where we found a great pool, and bar, had a drink and had a look at the menu.

The pool deck and upstairs bar are well worth visiting.

We enjoyed the pool on the roof and the bar next to it.

Well located hotel in Glories district of Barcelona with excellent views over the city from its 19th floor bar and pool.

The hotel had a bar on thr top floor (19th) with a pool and lounge area (the pool wasn't open as seasonal)

Light express breakfast available in the lobby bar.

The rooftop bar is a really good place to relax.

The room was clean and large enough for a family, with beautiful city views.

We had an upgrade and were in room 1629 with views over  the city.

The rooftop terrace has awesome views of the city and ocean.

We paid for a family room with a city view which was well worth it - the view was breath-taking!

Incredible views over the city, great lunch served in the room, impeccable and discreet service.

The main difference was the incredible city view looking out over the city and onto the Sagrada Familia.

but the var was and it was a great place to relax with drinks and a great view of the city.

but the views were amazing with high floor and views of the entire city skyline.

We had a room on the 12th floor and the view of the city and sunset was beautiful.

however access to the rooftop was still open with an amazing view of the city.

The kids loved the sheer choice at breakfast, the room on the 15th floor was clean & had great views across the city & the hotel staff were friendly & helpful.

Roof top bar has fantastic views over the city.

There are several metro stations nearby and there are views of the sea and the city, along with the Sagrada Familia.

The hotel had good family rooms with absolutely fantastic views of the city which we loved, as did the kids.

but by night the rooftop bar is a haven for a  sangria and spectacular views over the city.

Not only could you enjoy the drinks, could  enjoy yoga classes from a breathtaking view of the city.

Your room key was needed to access the room floors in the lift and it could be temperamental which was annoying as I had to get the room key replaced a couple of times.

It meant you often got stuck in the elevator, stairs or even the hallway trying to gain entry to your room.

but not for kids

But please please please get the card readers in the lift fixed!

In the meantime when i took the lift to go back to my room i got questioned by serveral hotel guest what the problem whas.

Longest checkin procedure in my whole life, no drinks or help with kids
Room is small, whole setup TV etc is very old - only local TV channels
Even toilet paper is one layer …
Elevators are noisy in the night 
Pool is small no space to sit, poorly planned/designed

as a diamond accor member we were put in the noisiest room of all (stay away from the elevators, which by the way are a complete mess).

WIth all that being said, make sure you don't get a room next to a lift.

Moreover, my room was near the elevators, so very noisy.

Has 3 lifts , one was broken on our last day ,

Only thing was we had a room next to a lift shift which did disturb us on the first night, we asked reception the following morning of we could change to a different room which was no hassle at all and done straight away.

The third experience was in the pool on the rooftop on 8 September no lifeguard was available or staff to give the towel or watch the pool safely to complete the worst experience when I try to go back to my room my key-card stop to working on the lift because automatically close my stay

but this hotel has a funny commercial policy, they charge you the room as if they were afraid that the customer who left a credit card imprint leaves at the end of the stay like a thief, and they do not sell a box of water greater than 50cl, in order to maximize the margin, there is an interminable wait to take one of the 3 elevators.

Elevators in this hotel are not easy to use.

but their insistence on formal dining and seating of patrons slowed things down massively, especially for me, as I was just looking for a yogurt and pastry),  stunningly slow elevators (they were never all working.  )

The lifts were an absolute nightmare, if they even came when you called for one.

Some upkeep needs to be done as there are elevator

Negatives: Elevators were terrible, cards didn’t work half the time nor did the left elevator.

Novotel is conveniently located for Line 1 into Plaza de Catalunya and also the tram down to the Parc de Ciutadella, both short journeys.

Taxi cost to Plaza de Catalunya was around 7 Euro.

The location is convenient; there is a tourist bus stop across the street; there is a big Carrefour supermarket and a shopping mall across the street; there is 200m to the underground red station - direct to Plaza de Catalunya.

3rd, I requested towels since the housekeeping did not leave any and it took them more than an hour to provide it, it was almost midnight coming from a long day!

We went to room 1601  it have many issues , the water is coming out from the shower cabinet, the toilets were not equipped with shampoo , shower gel and hand soap and no slipper were provided even when we asked the housekeeper.

I had asked for breakfast to be included when the room was changed and it wasn’t, was annoyed about it this.

?, asked for a confirmation email , he promised me to contact the reservation department and promise contact me to contact me at the end of the day

We requested blankets in the evening and still didn’t get any by the time we went to our room to sleep.

Few things are to improve, front desk staff was initially rough while addressing my request of having two separate beds in one of the room my family would stay at.

but reception told it is not ready, and found a room only when I asked for early-check-in refund.

We asked for a recommendation for a restaurant and we were sent to a very touristic one nearby which was very disappointing.

Her real manager Anne arrived and asked me to repeat issue again and accepted her team is wrong and chef has served beans cold by mistake

The staff if kind and pay attention to requests.

The next morning I requested a comforter to be brought, up, when I returned from work it had not been delivered.

however,  I stayed before in Ibis Sagrada Familia with duvet without any request, the second answer was because the time of my request they don't have any duvet available.

but was closed due to Covid 19, asked for a refund but was refused.

The only issue was when I asked her when it would be fixed, she said "sometime today".

Last time i called them 16.03 and i asked why i didnt get any answer.

I found out that if I asked, they might discount.

We cMe from Girona airport we asked taxi man how much roughly  n he said didnt know!!

I had specifically ask for a later check out and asked to check either the night before or morning of the check out date.

The location was good - Westfield across the road for cafes and restaurants and the tram and bus network also just outside.

There is a Westfield next door which is handy for supermarket, shopping and easy meals when needed.

The service and variety of food at breakfast was amazing and they were able to cater very well for two of our family with coeliac disease (gluten- free).

You've got the Rambla de Pobleneu a couple of blocks away with a great choice of restaurants which attract locals as well as tourists

Really better than any restaurant offers, and you get it included with the package.

The location of the hotel was good with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby.

The hotel is clean and the food are good.

We did not dine in the dining room so cannot comment on the evening meals.

for the pros:
the hotel was near to a metro station Gloris and near to a bus stop
there is a shopping mall just few munities walk with many different brands and many restaurants
the breakfast buffet was very good

maybe will consider it again for short stay trip

Dinner option was good specially there was halal options, and the restaurant manager and staff were extra caution to make sure we get the right food.

Across the street there is a modern outdoor shopping mall with restaurants and bakery shops offering many food choices.

Check-in went quick and the friendly receptionist, Mauro, gave good advice on the restaurants and some sightseeing tips.

Great location, with shops and restaurants very close by.

Well located hotel, close to metro station and restaurants.

The room was fine in itself, location was great if you’re looking for food and shops as Westfield is just across the road.

The location is brilliant - not too far away from the tourist hotspots, very near a Metro stop, tram stop and bus stop, opposite a Westfield shopping centre with a massive Carrefour supermarket and some nice well-priced food/drink places.

There is a Westfield shopping centre just across the road which includes a large Carrefour supermarket, and plenty of restaurants nearby offering various things from tapas to McDonald’s.
