Room quite dusty around room / behind doors, beds not made to same standard

As this was the case the glass doors at the entrance to the pool grounds were open and there was some patio furniture right on the other side of the glass doors so we chose to sit there for a few minutes.

Just a suggestion, could there be 1 member of staff who hangs around at 9am after the doors are opened and anyone they see putting towels on sunbeds and immediately going for breakfast tell them that its not allowed and if they dont listen put their towel in a basket.

There were also not enough sunbeds and parasols for everyone, which meant it was complete chaos when the doors eventually opened.

There are nowhere near enough sun loungers and even less parasols, it was like a Black Friday sale when the doors  to the pool were opened.

There aren’t enough beds to guest ratio so people line up in reception from around 8am and then the doors open at 9am.

One tip I’d give is to be prepared for sunbed stampede- the doors open at 9 and there is a mad rush for sunbeds!!

People queue up in the morning for the sunbeds as the doors are locked and the pool gets very busy and loud during the day.

but not if want play water polo there not allowed also massive q for sun beds in morning door open at 9 people q since 8.30 another thing evening entertainment for kids start at 9.30 even do all kids outside running up down since after dinner 8.30 that goes on time 10 them adults shows come on till well after 11 noise racket if bedroom which my one was so close to stage you could not sleep very difficult for families with young baby's so think need up there game with activities for kids .

The food is unreal, I got a sneak peak behind scenes of kitchen whilst door was ajar the kitchen looks like a laboratory,  so clean.

When another room closed their door, my headboard would shake.

The noise (and the real let down of the hotel) from 7:00/7:30AM was absolutely unbelievable though, slamming doors continued all day, running and screaming kids in the corridors, banging of chairs/wardrobes and noise through the walls was insane.

You can hear every door slam, every person walking down the corridors, midnight and kids are running up and down the halls, quite a noisy hotel in general, slept with ear plugs in.

These can fit maybe 3-4 people, 5 if you're lucky (that's without suitcases) and take forever, partly because there's no door close

Then the other noise began, people banging doors and shouting on the corridors.

I was shocked at how they could just come through the door without knocking and it felt as

I’d advise leaving the “do not disturb” on the door, as room service arrived at 08:45, so no chance of a lie in!!

but expected has people wanted spaces by pool maybe let few people out at time has I found being at front of line did you no justice has once doors open people run from the back past you, which was annoying, but this wouldn’t stop me from returning.

As for trying to get a sunbed the situation is beyond belief and needs some urgent attention   with people queing up from 8.00 am ( doors open at 9.00 pm ) , we would normally go down  about 8.50 and were always at the back of a long queue usually going out of the hotel entrance onto the steps.

The morning race for the loungers and umbrellas is a pain, basically you end up queuing at around 8:15 (any later and good luck getting anything) and then when the door opens it is an elbows out race to grab what you can.

Barcelona Free time was literally that, Free time, we could wander around the city centre for many hours seeing all the sites for Park Guell, the Gaudi museum, the Gothic Cathedral, also known as Barcelona Cathedral or the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, Las Ramblas.

Entertainment was fab, we are family of 2+2 (8 and 14) and they loved it, the girl who does kids entertainment is outstanding - great energy!

She is amazing with everyone especially the Elderly and children.

My wife and I booked a 4 night break for a last munite get away with our 2 grown up sons.

Charlie was brilliant and my son followed him everywhere.

Family rooms are spacious with proper single beds for the children (not sofa or camp beds) and the mattresses/pillows are comfortable.

I stayed for a week half board with my daughter.

The restaurant has a good variety of decent food even for kids.

The other pool was a children's pool in the same area and so the same comments apply.

We even enjoyed the mini disco and baby shark songs!

but our son did take part in the water polo and volleyball a couple of times and really enjoyed it.

My daughter and her friends stayed in your hotel.

Approx £35 return for 2 adults and 2 kids.

They took the time to get to know our children and would come looking for our eldest to join in with the activities.

Our children loved the pick and mix each evening and I was able to take apples out for snacks during the day.

We went as a large group 6 Adults 2 Children (9 & 2).

The hotel is wicked we now will return with the kids in August.

To sum up this a really well run hotel 5 minutes from the centre of  salou and 10 minutes from the beach and only a few minutes from the PARC municipal   which is a great place to have a drink or a coffee.

The other toaster is terrible, 4 times for the bread to toast is too long and leads to queues.

the toasters need disposing of, you have to put your toast in 4 times to create toast or its still just bread, as you can imagine this creates a big queue.

In the morning queuing for coffee machine can be a pain due to lengthy queues depending on the time and small cups don't help we ended up having to get 2 at a time.

We usually ate around 8.00pm and did not have  to queue for long for the evening dinner and food was replenished frequently.

but not enough parasols, pool doesn't open till 9am people start queueing form 7/7 30am then it's was a mad dash for parasols with the odd few appearing at almost 9 to make the dash was quite annoying, in 30 years this was my first experience of the queueing business i will doing better research in future.

but when others in the queue confirmed that I did, he insisted I paid for it again!

Sunbed situation not too bad, we never queued, was busy

You have to queue in reception for sun-loungers before the pool opens at 9am.

The pool 1st thing in the morning did have a Queue for getting Sunbeds and I found this quite amusing while having breakfast, we never went to the pool in the mornings opting to do other activities

but I will be back to this hotel 
For anyone that is going to this hotel if u have anyone with disabilities and u are going to PortAventura please bring doctor letters and ID to the park so u can get the disability fast pass to all the rides if u don’t have this you will be refused it when u go up to queuing in the line at the disability desk just a bit of extra advice

There was a queue for sun loungers before the pool opened at 9am and it was the usual story of people reserving sun loungers and not using them for some time after.

Inside seating area not very comfortable at all and lack of staff on the bar at night made queues very long waiting for a drink.

Unless you are queueing for at least an hour before the pool opens at 9am you will not be guaranteed a parasol.

People queueing for dessert and once you get there things had run out - not what you want on holiday!

The only thing I would fault is that there are not enough sun parasols, which led to huge ques from 8 am and a dash to get an umbrella

Entertainment staff were brilliant and very friendly!

We had read some bad reviews about the food and large queues in the restaurant,

Unless you don’t get a fast pass, then you will queue all day to go on two rides.

but at busy times it was a bit hectic and queues to get into restaurant.

The management will just say that there is no need to queue,

Food options were good, typical buffet style.

Breakfast had a large range of hot/cold food.

Excellent venue, great location, food was good at times.

Few newer restaurant staff on 2nd yr who weren’t as customer focussed

Whilst on holiday not everyone has a well planned itinerary to know where they will be the following day or days to swap their meals!

Food was great and a fantastic variety all the time.

Overall we found the food to be good, there is some variety each day

Lots of positives about this hotel, location cleanliness and staff, the food was okay

The restaurant staff were also very helpful.

Each evening there was a choice of chicken, fish, pasta, meat, soup, salad, vegetables, sea food and chips so everyone taste was accommodated for.

We didn’t go to entertainment so can’t comment
We were half board and food was very good.

From the moment we arrived to the last goodbye this hotel was 100%.. Staff happy, friendly nothing was any bother.. food was catered for all tastes even those that forget they are on holiday in a foreign country lol.. 😉 Only issue and to be honest it's not really an issue is its a long way t walk if ya love the beach.. the going there is OK

Stayed half board and the food was genuinely impressive.

Restaurant and reception staff all very nice and helpful: all to be commended.

Food was excellent with a variety of things every morning and night.

There was a great variety of food each day/night, always something for everyone.

but the food temperature is never quite right  (even if you’re first in the queue).

There was a good choice for the breakfast and evening meals, there was always pizza, chips and plain pasta on the evening, im the fussy eater in the family and always found plenty of options.

Room cleaned every day, housekeeping staff were so lovely and friendly.

Staff helpful and friendly would have a free kettle had to pay 4 euros per day to have one in room went out and bought own milk and teabags, etc.

Room very clean and had an extra bed in it which was an added bonus.

but it is very compact and a bit of a squeeze
Plus why do we have such loud music playing much too loud
Bar staff were all plesent and drinks very well priced
Rooms were very good with everything you need except and English channels on the TV other then bbc world news
Would I recommend this hotel.

Our room was excellent and was on the 5th floor just below the roof top terrace, we had a lovely view looking over to Port Aventura.

though 😳 After being awake since 3am travelling not ideal, check in was slow 
Room was nice, very clean.

Pool area, restaurants, lobby were always spotless and rooms cleaned daily.

Our room was on 4th floor, lifts always worked and no noise heard

Location isn’t great,  on edge of resort.

1 room ready around 11am and second around 2pm both next to each other on top floor as requested.

The hotel staff were so polite and helpful, the maids cleaned your
room and replaced the towels every day.

We had a family room which had 4 beds in and was very spacious (363).

Our room was very nicely decorated and we were very impressed!

This was the case in all areas of the hotel including around the pool, in our room and in the main bar. 3.

The highlight of my holiday was all down to an amazing member of the Animation or entertainment team Elena.

but absolutely no-one went above and beyond, if you didnt greet them then they wouldnt smile or speak and as for the so called entertainment staff, who are they!!

even though we were directly above the outside stage.

The animation team were fantastic, the kids were always super entertained.

The professional entertainment were mostly musicians.

but did love the mini disco every evening.

There seemed to be a lot going on with the animation staff and the evening entertainment,

The hotel has evening entertainment and a kids club with a medium size games rooms.

We didn't really watch any of the evening entertainment.

The entertainment was fantastic- much better than at most places I’ve been to- including 5* places.

We went for theme park view this year due to last years noise from entertainment.

The entertainment was brilliant with everything from Michael Jackson tribute, Queen tribute, acrobats and various dance acts.

On the plus side, it’s entertaining to watch

We didn’t get to see much of the evening entertainment either apart from briefly seeing the Freddie Mercury tribute which did look really good

The Freddie Mercury tribute band were fantastic.

We watched the evening entertainment a couple of evenings.

but the main standout was Elena from the animation team who's energy was electric the whole trip and made our childrens time so magical so we'll be forever grateful never in my 20 years of going to family resorts have I come across someone like her!

The reception is very bright modern, reception staff a pleasure to deal with.

Good points:  Nice pool, staff all polite and helpful.

The staff at the hotel were very inconsistent.

What can I say Wow a beautiful person both inside and out, she is always smiling.

Good location, walking distance to Theme park,  10 minute walk to beach.

The hotel also had taxis ready for us within minutes of  our requests so it’s very easy to travel to the attractions (water park and theme parks close by).

The Portventura Theme parks  is 10 mins walking distance.

Clean with good food and a brilliant location for the theme parks.

The hotel was big, plenty to do for all, close to shops, theme park was only a walk away.

This hotel is in a great location, a 10 minute walk from the beach and not too far from the theme park.

We did all the parks and would recommend them all, we spent 13 hours in the main Portaventura theme park, it was brilliant.

10-15 walk to theme park and 10 minute walk to beach/restaurants/bars.

however after a chat with the friendly reception team we were moved to a room on the 5th floor overlooking the theme park which was great.

The location is great for the theme parks.

Great hotel in a great location,  10 minutes to theme park & 10 minutes to beach.

Also, go to a shop in Salou that sells the tickets for a reasonable price, don’t buy them at the theme park.

The hotel is a short walk to the theme parks which are worth the visit and a 10 minute walk to the beach and promanade.

hotel location is perfect if you plan on spending time at the theme park and not to far from the shops and beach.

Good location a short walk to resort centre, beach and plentiful bars and restaurants, railway station and theme park.

Food very repetitive, and catered for the English (we stayed all inclusive).

A couple of examples below:

- All inclusive upgrade prices were only available at reception
- You have to ask behind the bar for their menu/prices (Alternatively, you could wait and watch the screen at the bar,

The food in the restaurant is excellent as we were all inclusive there was always plenty of choice.

We were massively impressed with the all inclusive drinks options as well as the meals, we only ate out one night!

We went all inclusive and the food was pretty good, plenty of choice.

We now choose all inclusive for ease and not just to eat and drink as much as we can,

although like all AI one week is enough as then repetitive.

The food here was the best I've had in a hotel for a long time which is sometimes unusual for a hotel that caters for all inclusive.

We didn't go all inclusive we went half board which was all we required.

We were all inclusive and the drinks were always served with large measures!

but the hotel is clean and the entertainment staff are amazing, but in my opinion the all inclusive isn't worth it, would go back but half board

Fruit and salad plus other snacks such as toasties available on all inclusive to order

- We wouldn’t recommend this hotel for all inclusive - with so many thing ls to do and places to eat within a few minutes walk.

Hotel location superb rooms were comfortable and clean had fabulous corner room facing beach large balcony low floor as requested customer service superb staff friendly and helpful food excellent bar service fantastic all inclusive was great value couldn’t fault anything one of the best hotels for location right on the beach cleanliness of rooms staff fantastic throughout hotel we always had sunbeds whatever time of day toddler pool great next to shaded seating area main pool exceptionally warm couldn’t fault anything had a fabulous stay

We were all inclusive so enjoyed slushies, ice creams, cocktails and snacks as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.

The all inclusive food choice was amazing, plenty of choice with different meat/fish each night along with so many other options as well.

We were all inclusive and thought the food was very good- even my fussy son found something he liked every meal.

Food was nice loads of choice meats/fish/english/veg and it different every day, to note  if your All inclusive you do have to pay a few euros for some drinks still on certain ones

Great massages on the beach with Chinese lady €10 or €20.

Across the road from the hotel is the coastal path to Cap Salou & beyond if you fancy a good walk.

The beech;
Beautiful beech great for the family, be careful as this could turn into a very expensive trip to the beech,
1 sunbed 7 euros a day
1 umbrella 11 euros a day
Mattress topper 5 euros a day
That would be an extra 59 euros a day so for seven days stay that would be another 413 euros on top of any drinks you buy whilst on the beech (based on a family of four)

All in all we had a good holiday,

Situated right on the beach at the end of La Pineda.

However we went to the beach everyday so it wasn't an issue for us personally.

The location on the beach and the food being also good .

This hotel is right on a sandy beach, the water is warm, shallow and very clear unfortunatly there were a few days we couldn't enjoy a dip due to all the jelly fish, there seems to have been an influx of them this year.

Excellent food we were 1/2 board Good room 829 is quiet and away from the pool area
Staff and overall cleanliness very good
Plenty of onsite activities if you are interested
Right beside the beach and a bus stop
Only complaint is the only draught beer isn't the best

Just returned from this beautiful hotel , I'm sad to be home,the views are stunning the beach is clean,hotel staff are fabulous, the chefs and restaurant staff work extremely hard and very polite.entertainment was great especially water volley ball.reception great .beds comfy thank you for a lovely staff.the only thing is la pineda is very quite so you need a bus to salou

The location of this Hotel is perfect almost sitting on the beach.

The hotel is very clean and ideal location, right on the beach.

There are also shops 5 minutes away & a lovely beach right on the doorstep.

Great location a stones throw to the beach, cafes, shops and bus stop outside the hotel.

Beach cleaned every day and sea clear and warm.

Seemed to be a fair amount of sunbeds and the location is perfect, 10 steps and you're on a beautiful sandy beach.

Lots of walking, took in Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, Free time along Las Ramblas, a pit stop at the Olympic Stadium and Montjuic.

The hotel was always kept clean and tidy, the entertainment staff worked tirelessly to keep adults and children happy.

Great for kids and families for activities throughout the day and entertainment at night.

There are a couple of little lagoons which is totally safe for kids to play in.

Nightly entertainment was really fun too, again something for everyone - kids and adults.

Suitable for young children and for adults too.

Especially in the evening, kids song, then quizzes and the main act.

You can walk out quite a distant before it gets deep so it's really safe for kids and again my daughter loved it.

The animation team and kid's club are very good as is the evening entertainment.

The hotel kids club is amazing and the staff are so lovely with the children.

great food (probably the best all inclusive food I've had - great choice, cooked well and well stocked), great location on a wonderful beach, great family rooms (separate bedroom for kids), close to supermarket and parade of shops/restaurants/bars/amusement arcades (although not exactly lively resort).

As I mentioned the hotel itself is situated right on the beach, which has soft golden sand and a gentle slope out to the sea which is ideal for children.

Kids club was great if you needed a little break to yourself.

All of us loved Andrea, she was great with the kids and does a brilliant Aqua session!

Although we didn’t travel with any children the hotel certainly had enough activities and staff to keep children happy from what we saw.

Even my fussy kids had something they enjoyed every day.

Lovely hotel in a brilliant position right on a great beach, the hotel is very clean, rooms very good and the girls cleaning the rooms were excellent.

Steaks/ fish etc cooked on the grill each night . Burgers/ hot dogs for the kids :-)
