Would say Thank you for great service from Andhika, Wasalage, Krishmal, and Dananjaya, that made our dinner more memorable with accompanied by beautiful music and very tasty and spicy tradisional food of Srilanka.

My kids were right on top and amused by lovely background live music.

And in comparison with the buffet restaurant of the Cinnamon hotel in Maldives some food options were quite poor.

The only thing that elevates this hotel from a rating of poor are the fantastic restaurants on site.

We went on a Friday where there was music being played at poor area which was kind of loud.

but the manager duty and room service were humble and apologatic for the delay and poor service.

Overall I felt it was overpriced  and the service was poor.

She was immediately approached by a staff member and asked to leave the area due to her poor dress state and asked not to traverse the public areas again dressed only in swimwear.

The food is mediocre I ordered room service and the pasta tasted awful and the bolognese  sauce had nothing to do with bolognese and everything to do with horrible food I worked as chef in Michelin star restaurants and trust me i know .. the service is slow and  poor quality .

It was poor experience that I received from the point where I had to park the car.

but the poor quality of food brings it way down.

Food was great, fresh and tasty as always.

Wealthy locals come to the buffet for dinner - they know the best place in town and this is it.

We went to the Plates restaurant for lunch to celebrate hubby's birthday.

The food was amazing, especially the spread at the buffet.

Recently had a sunday brunch at Cinnamon grand plates restaurant and we were offered superb food and service!!

I might add the noodles restaurant and service is fantastic.

When we called the hotel the receptionist didn’t even listen to what we had to say which was extremely rude!!

The lady at the front desk was very rude (at least until she realised that we were in-house guests) and when approached for help gave me the impression that she had better things to do.

Once i walking to the entrance there was one wearing the black blazor i smiled he was so rude as well no smile from him like if i was walking to his hotel

the staff Mr. Asanka Fernando always in the hotel lobby,i think he maybe is a manager,but his attitude was terribly bad ,he speaked to the guests very loud and very rude.

This was not nice and I thought that was rude, as if we were kids staying past our bedtime.

but - even worse - that the concierge was so rude and totally unhelpful.. On my return to Colombo (NOT staying at the Cinnamon Grand) I complained about the incident to a manager called Davina, who lamely said she'd look into it.

The staff is rude and will try to cheat you.

The rooms are excellent, the service is excellent and the pool is fabulous.

but not overpowering - and it is representative of Sri Lankan cooking.

Slight odor in the hall on the 7th floor that needs to be addressed.

One thing to note, though, specially for non smokers, like myself!

However, some guests smokes in their rooms and it  can smell the entire hallway.

As per local regulations smoking is not permitted in confined areas.

The whole purpose of food being served to us is defeated when guests are walking around, mask-less, and breathing onto the food and even handling the utensils themselves when no one’s looking.

Only disappointment was the Christmas Night Dinner on Nuga Gama, Plates and the Cutleries were un-clean and the smell came from Cashew Curry wasn’t good at all.

Rooms for children smelled of cigar smoke.

Lots of different shisha flavors, tobacco and non tobacco.

Hope they do something about it because as a non-smoker, I found the smell not very pleasant.

The main area that represents an "authentic English pub" is given over to the smoking area so those who do not smoke are seated in what is effectively a corridor and an ante-room - and the smoke is all pervading.

I didn't like the first room we had (508) as it seemed very musty smelling and almost damp.

Rooms were a bit outdated and smelled a bit funny, probably from the moisture.

I had a shocking experienced when I was hosting two friends for lunch this afternoon, one of my friends discovered a worm in my Laksa noodles in the Noodles Restaurant (2nd January 2019), pictures are below
 It is rather disgusting to note that a Five Star Hotel has fails to maintain hygienic standards, especially in food served, of a high degree as expected.

The room smelled musty, and was outdated.

It stinks and it looks more like a public toilet.

but there was a damp, mildewy odor in there for the duration of our stay.

The interior of the hotel has a dull, old look to it and reeks of a weird smell.

He is very professional and attentive to all the guests and always has a special smile which gives us a feeling of home from home.

Milan was very helpful and made sure that we were comfortable during our stay.

Special shout out to Milan for his excellent service he was very helpful, polite and friendly.

Went the extra mile by arranging for extra vegetarian items for my mother.

Dilara was absolutely amazing and definitely an asset to your restaurant.

Just returned from a fabulous holiday at TRS Yucatan.

I have never been on such a beautiful, relaxing vacation!

A daytrip to the maya ruins in Tulum, a snorkel adventure with sea turtles, a swim in a cenote followed with an authentic mexican dinner in a local restaurant of the beaten path, made our mini vacation complete.

Absolutely 100 percent best vacation I have ever experienced.

After two great trips to TRS Coral resort including our wedding back in February 2023 we decided to give TRS Yucatan a try on a long weekend, pre-holiday getaway and it did not disappoint!!!

Alex at the infinity pool kept bringing us drinks without us asking and he made sure we were enjoying our time.

The Infinity Pool and Saltwater Pool were amazing.

With the exception of waiting for towels at the pool(s), the exceptional staff and concierge service made up for it!

Throughout our stay, we moved around the various pools, some with live music and others that were more peaceful (the ‘quiet’ pools).

The lobbies, villas, restaurants, bars, garden and pool areas, the standard of cleanliness is excellent everywhere.

We loved the pools throughout the resort.

The 3 pools give you the possibility to change scenery and enjoy different places in the hotel.

We saw staff stop others coming to the pools that were not allowed.

The setting around the infinity pool is beautiful and serene.

The pools were all clean and well-maintained,

Pool rooms didn’t offer the privacy we needed.

We spend the majority of time by the infinity pool, eating breakfast and lunch at Helios, where all the staff were fantastic and greeted us by name every morning, food and drink was of high standard with great cocktails and great service, even bringing us cocktails in the pool.

There are fish in the moat that you can feed from your balcony hot tub jacuzzi.

The infinity pool grill was a nice feature

The saltwater pool was our absolute favourite for swimming!

Next to our private pool, on the beach, along the winding pathway, in the pretty water feature.

Luckily, there was a nice couple that had a private company they booked outside of the hotel for airport transport that heard what was going on and offered us to get a ride with them if the company they were with allowed - the company did

We had private reformer Pilates classes with the resorts trainer, Elizabeth, every morning (which are included at no extra charge!).

There is a private TRS section with a bar and food and the ocean is amazing with such soft sand!

We loved sitting outside by the private pool and using the pool since we went during one of the hottest, humid months of the year there.

Our suite with a large private infinity pool was spectacular and allowed us to seclude ourselves and enjoy some time together each day.

It is surrounded by jungle and felt very private.

We used the jacuzzi a few times, it worked great, was quiet and felt private.

but if I went back in the summer I would get the private pool.
