RIGHT near to arc de triomf and and centre 10 minutes walk to rambla and 15 minutes to the beach.

The hotel location is fantastic as it's right next to Arc De Triomf (you can see the top of it from the roof top area) and close to Ciutadella Park.

Even if you don't want to walk wherever you wish to visit, the Arc de Triomf metro station is literally just across the road.

The hotel is 500 m away from The Arc De Triomf and is near to the centre.

Location is fantastic, just next to arc de triomf, rooms are clean and well maintained, and the view from the lounge is very pretty.

The hotel is seconds from the Arc de Triomf, and has great links to the city centre.

Once outside the hotel the Arc de Triomf was just 300 meters away.

It was in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, right by the Arc de Triomf, so it was really easy to find.

The location was excellent, right next to the Arc de Triomf and near lots of great restaurants!

but even for a tourist visit it couldn't be any better as the hotel is next to Arc de Triomf and near to the historical city center.

Hotel Rec, very near Arc de Triomf (L1 Metro as well as the lovely Parc de la Ciutadella) really has a perfect location--not in one of the most heavily touristed area  with all their bustle

The location is wonderful - next door to the Arc de Triomf on the edge of El Born with loads of bars, restaurants and little shops nearby.

The location is great - close to lots of restaurants and shops - and easy to navigate back to in a taxi as it’s so close to the Arc de Triomf landmark.

Location wise it is only a few minutes walk from the metro and you can get the airport bus (I think it's called aerobus) to catalunya and then get the metro to Arc de Triomf.

The water in the coffee maker tasted slightly funky, so it’s best to stick with juice.

but I don’t expect to have to pay for a cup of tea or coffee to have in my room.

but I have to issues; the did not remove the garbage from the room or clean/ replace the cups.

Only thing I missed was a refridgerator in the room.

There were really no amenities besides the kettle and tea bags and a hair dryer, some were available free upon request (eg lotion).

Throughout the eight nights we stayed there, the only thing we missed was an in-room refrigerator.

During the day you can have breakfast, a cup of coffee.

We were really impressed on arrival - A very modern, clean and friendly hotel.

Great location, lovely staff, amazing room (corner suite), breakfast was great, lots of choices and eating outside by the pool in the sunshine was an added bonus! The REC lounge is such a cool place to enjoy a drink and snacks (pizzas are awesome!)

I would like to express the level of excellent customer service my husband and I received at our point of check-in with Lidia she was fantastic, with recommendations of places to eat and places to visit and always with a smile and so pleasant to talk to.

The Hotel REC is perfectly located and an easy walk to many of Barcelona's incredible sites and tapas bars.

The rooftop bar had a lovely view of the city and reasonable prices for food and drink.

So many amazing restaurants close by, particularly loved all the little streets of shops in El Born.

Excellent location, close to metro and public transports of other sorts, close to a lot of restaurants, a nice top floor bar with a great view (even if the pool is quite small).

The neighbourhood is really good as well, lots of quality bars and restaurants within a short walking distance, and it is a vibrant neighbourhood (But then, Barcelona is a very vibrant city).

He is so nice and helpfull and  I loved the cocktail!

The establishment boasts an expansive rooftop bar, providing a good atmosphere.

The air conditioning was excellent and most importantly, quiet (our visit was in July so very hot) 
The roof top bar was a pleasant place to spend some time at the end of the evening.

The staff here are super friendly, and the rooftop bar is a must try experience.

Me and my friend had such a fun experience while doing a beer tasting at the roof top bar at Hotel Rec.

Ankush was also a super star at the rooftop bar making many lovely mojitos and bringing my partner beer  :) There was also a live guitar duo on Thursday evening and a DJ on Saturday which we enjoyed.

Saturday night there was live music in the rooftop bar and they invited all guests for cava on the house.

Location is OK. Rooftop bar was better than I had expected, stylish with an amazing view over the city and a big TV to watch the football World Cup games.

The rooms are a bit on the small side, which would be ok except that there’s no privacy then for the sliding door shower/sink scenario and no real privacy for using the toilet either which can be interesting!

Me and my bf arrived here yesterday and we just found our room to be a little bit small for us and it didn’t have much closet room and I have a lot of clothes.

The only minus is that the rooms are quite tiny and they do not wash the floors, that was a minus for me since I stayed for 10 days.

We opted for the room with a terrace for the end of trip and really enjoyed sitting outside with a drink at the end of the day.

Only issue was that the air conditioner only worked in the front bathroom portion of the room.

An area for opportunity would be for a bigger focus on maintenance, the air conditioning unit in the ceiling in the lobby bar was dripping onto the tables and floor the entire time we were there.

Wall paper was peeling, desk was stained in multiple locations, walls were marked/stained, the roof was peeling, the air con vent was filthy, the curtains were torn etc etc (the list goes on).

- the heater in the bathroom didn't work.

This was because the key card had to be removed each time as we left (to save them money on electricity in our room), so the a/c only started again once we put the card back in on our return.

although I’m not sure how good the air con is in the height of summer.

Fan or AC did not work in our second room

Only downside was room was quite warm, despite a/c being lowest temperature.

However we may not have understood the thermostat.

The air-con control panel was a waste of time.

A lot of marble in my room and this made it cold, even with the heating on.

The only issue we experienced with this particular hotel was with the air conditioning.

To our surprise, we had a staff member at our door within minutes with a new unit so we could have some espresso before leaving.

Rooms serviced beautifully each day, good air con and nice pool (though small and doesn’t open until 10.00 which is frustrating) Food and drinks are very expensive in the hotel

Internet is super slow, air conditioning very noisy and TV has no channels in English.

but very slow WiFi, no TV channels in English and loud air conditioning.

The only downside to the room was that there was no extractor fan in the toilet which made it very warm and humid in there.

Great location next to the Arc de Triomf, really friendly staff, great spacious well equipped hotel room.

It’s about 3 blocks from the bus station, 2.5 blocks to the Metro and the Arc de Triomf, and 6 blocks from the central Plaza de Catalunya.

We just picked up pastries from a cafe just found the corner near the Arc de Triomf.

The hotel is a short walk from the Arc De Triomf metro station.

This is a modern hotel very close to the city center (Placa Catalunya) and 5 min walk from the closest Urquinaona and Arc de Triomf metro stations.

but very close to sights including the Arc de Triomf and some lovely restaurants.

The location is between the Arc de Triomf (2 blocks) and Catalunya square about 4 blocks.

Location of the hotel was ideal a 5-10 min walk from Plaça de Catalunya and las Rambla and just round the corner from the Arc de Triomf.

The hotel is central and close to the Arc de Triomf and park.

but close to many sites - 5-10 min walk to Arc de Triomf, 10-15 min walk to El Borne (bustling/happening area of pedestrian friendly winding cobblestone streets filled with restaurants, bars, shops, squares),  10-15 minute walk to the El Born Cultural Centre (free - worth a visit - excavations of an old city below), 10-15 min walk to Las Ramblas, etc!

Close to the Arc de Triomf L1 station which is ideal for connecting to various other lines.

The building was well-kept and clean, and in a perfect location for exploring the city by foot or by subway (the Arc de Triomf and its metro stop are a short five minute walk from the hotel).

The streets around the hotel are nice to walk through and it is a two minute stroll to the Arc de Triomf.

Amazing rooms sizes, perfect location for everything like La Sagrada Familia, Barcelona Bullring, Arc de Triomf, Parc de la Ciutadella, Placa de Catalunya, La Rambla, Passeig de Gracia and more, a rooftop pool, gym, bars, beautiful hotel style, beautiful room with aircon & free wifi, gorgeous healthy breakfast, multi-lingual welcoming staff, beautiful entrance AND.

It's right next to the Arc de Triomf and about a 10 minute walk to the gothic quarter/ La Rambla and all the sites.

Hotel is nicely settled in a quiet neighborhood that's really close to Arc de Triomf and within walking distance to La Ramblas and Passeig de Gracia.

but two minute walk from The Arc de Triomf and so.

Don't get me wrong this hotel is ideally located near the Arc de Triomf and metro and within walking distance of Sagrada Familia, Casa Battlo, the Picasso Museum etc.

It is also in walking distance of the centre and close to a metro station so transport is not an issue.

The location the hotel is just walking distance from Catalonia square ,bus , metro stations and many other main visitors sites.

Approx 12 euro for a cab to Park Guell and a metro stop close by.

Excellent location, easy accessible on foot and by public transport (metro and bus stations close).

It's pretty close to Arc de Truimph and a metro station.

The hotel is a mere 2 mins from two metro stations or a short walk (10 mins) to La Rambla so it’s a perfect location to enjoy your stay in Barcelona!

We thoroughly enjoyed our staff, the phone calls from guest relations to ensure everything was ok.

Hugo in the guest relation team and a young lady (can’t remember her name ) was so helpful and professional, the team even left balloons and a cake for our celebrations, which was such a lovely touch..

Hugo and Marina from guest relations were very attentive and genuinely cared that guests had the best experience from the both the hotel and such a beautiful city.

The next day we needed further information about getting around and transportation and Hugo on the guest relations told us all we needed and more.

Staff were very friendly, Hugo the Guest Relations Manager was very helpful in recommending restaurants to visit and places of interest near by.

Guest relation personal was just perfect for welcome our family ( with all attention and welcome amenities for kids in room) suggested us restaurants, provided professional baby sitting from outside company  just in a couple of hours after our request ( our kids were excited and very satisfied with a baby sitter and we had romantic evening with my husband in Barcellona) .

The staff was very polite and the guest relations was eager to help.

Also, Jose from Guest Relations was very helpful and welcoming.
