Advice regarding the Metro and Camp Nou ensured our experience was perfect!

We did all the usual sights, Camp Nou, Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, Barcelona Cathedral,Parc de la Cuitadella and even the Zoo!

The transport link right outside took us straight to Camp Nou for only 2.15 Euro and was very easy to understand.

Watched El Clasico at the Camp Nou which is a must if you ever have the opportunity to go.

The hotel is in a fabulous location for restaurants and attractions.

Service is 5 stars, hotel is 4.5 stars, rooftop bar 5 stars, location 6 stars.

It is well located across from the harbour, it is clean, has lovely and large rooms, had a king size comfortable bed with good pillows and nice linens, and we fully recommend it.

The hotel is in a lovely position near to Port Vell and there are many good restaurants nearby.

The location is fine with a terrific roof top bar overlooking the harbor.

Everything from the wonderful location, cleanliness and above average customer service!

The hotel is in a well maintained old heritage building, in a perfect location between the gothic quarter and the water front/beaches.

The location of this hotel is great - walking distance to beach, on the edge of the Gothic district, close to Picasso museum, Barcelona cathedral, walking distance to La Sagrada (longer walk),  close to Metro trains and tons of shopping,  bars and restaurants.

Its located in Barri Gotic and close to our favourite district El Born.

Not only is this hotel in a wonderful location, it was exceptionally clean and very well run.

The room was clean, bigger than expected, there was champagne waiting for us.

This place feels quite new from the lobby to the room.

Family room was very spacious- 2 proper beds for the children.

Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant to the people who cleaned the rooms were extremely polite and accommodating.

However the pools are hilariously small and any room located near the service elevator is probably pretty noisy in the morning.

But our room was small, with no view, the window overlooked an alley and had a curtain pulled shut for privacy, which made the whole room dark.

Only disappointment, was the room was a little small for the price paid - not like those pictures.

The hotel is small and only has 30 rooms.

The hotel offered a room for three adults and a fair rate (though the room was a bit small and had limited drawer/closet space.

Our room was very small and felt congested.

If you get a high room and a small tree you are set!!

The rooms are small and very dark with just a small glass door for light and you can see the man in his bed opposite in the run down apartments.

The room we had was tiny and with a view straight into the neighbours flat.

There is music late at night on the roof and noise in the street,

but we were on the first floor, which was a bit noisy from street and sidewalk traffic.

Our room was very nice even facing the busy road and could hear noise,

The only negative would be that the front rooms facing the street can be noisy, however I knew this would be the case,

There was a very narrow balcony with the only room to stand with no seeds or table there was a very narrow balcony with only room to stand with no seats or table However as I mentioned above we could not open this door at night due to the road noise.

However the double glazing blocked completely all sound from the street.

The only thing I would change is to stay on a higher floor next time (I was on the 2nd floor), as the noise from the street below me carried into my room when trying to sleep my last night.

though we overlooked a sometimes busy street we barely heard any street noise with the dual windows.

Our room was unfortunately located above that street which was very noisy at night

Although we were warned that night noise is high in Barcelona we would have wished that our room would have been more protected from street noise which never seemed to stop

We were on the second floor facing the street so it got a little noisy at times.

but the glazing meant that we couldn't hear the noise from the road at all.

If you put two suitcases on the ground then you don't have much space to walk at all. But my biggest issue was the noise from the street (Barcelona is loud everywhere!)

Lower floors I expect suffer from some street noise later as the bars stay open until the early hours

The location for us was perfect.

Ask for a sea view room as the rooms on street can be quite noisy.

.. forward facing rooms get some road noise and unless you are on the top floor, the trees obscure the views of the marina.

Nice balcony/sitting area just outside our door, overlooking the lobby and out at the moored boats.

Large clean rooms, quiet property, beautiful rooftop and wonderful views I cannot say enough good things about this Hotel and its staff.

We had drinks and dinner on the rooftop, enjoying the beautiful views of the Barcelona harbor.

The rooftop bar and dipping pools are amazing with sweeping views of the yacht harbor, ocean in distance, gondolas, etc.

The roof terrace/pool and bar area had great views over the marina definitely worth a visit.

Loved the hotel, clean, friendly helpful staff and amazing view over the harbour.

The hotel is clean, located in a very convenient location, you have a great view to the harbor and La Rambla is just a block or two away.

Particularly the roof terrace restaurant is a must see, perfect views and very good food.

The location was all ready walk to the sea and Gothic quarter!Quarter!!

The hotel staff were excellent, the hotel food was excellent, the hotel itself was excellent and very nice and clean, the hotel rooftop bar was an excellent touch with a great view.

This time we got room no 11 with a nice view to the harbour,

Our waterfront facing room had double pane windows so very quiet at night, even with fun loving groups walking by at all hours.

30 second walk to a major station where you can either take the train directly to the airport, or metro to Camp Nou, the Magic Fountain, or other attractions.

I only stayed for one night as I was attending a FC Barcelona Champions League match and it was short trip on the metro to Collblanc (station nearest Camp Nou.

You are 10 minutes from Las Ramblas and the Gothic quarter, 20 minutes from the port, 30 from the beach and Sargada Famillia, an then maybe an hours walk from Parc Guell and Camp Nou.

We booked our Camp Nou and Sagrada Familia tickets online and the Staff offered to print our tickets.

the location is right in the golden mile surrounded by posh merchants and restaurants!

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing location!

Very nice hotel, location is perfect, walking distance to everything, lots of restaurants, coffee and shops, ice cream is just downstairs on the street!

Location is superb, minutes walking to subway stations and all the brand name shopping.

Great location on Passeig de Gracia-surrounded by stores, restaurants, and famous sites within walking distance-yet quiet.

The location was great as it was close to tremendous shopping, walking distance to Las Ramblas (but away from the crazy crowds), down the street from Placa de Catalunya, and close to plenty of restaurants.

Location is superb, you're in L'Eixample, right between two Gaudi sites and two metro stations.

(I wish I have better vocabularies to describe the room better) The location was even better, very close to subway and in the middle of Passage de Gracia, yet quite at night.

In addition, the hotel is located about 50 meters from a metro stop, so easy access to everywhere.

The location of the hotel is the best, close to everything you need.

Fantastic location, excellent service, super friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel itself sits in the perfect location on Passeig de gracia.

We had a triple room which was roomy and sufficient for 3 people.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean!

The wheelchair accessable room was second to none including a private terrace.

Nice room with comfortable bed, shower is amazing, make me so relax after a long hot day!

They upgraded my room to one with a nice patio and was great!

Room was large and clean and included mini fridge.

I was welcomed with some cheese and grapes in the room.

The staff, room, and amenities were superb and top-notch.

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious.

If the room is available and you are hesitating, book it.

The room,  the staff, food, localization, etc is 5/5.

The interior design is modern and chic, the rooms are spotlessly clean.

The tow rooms can lock separately for privacy if needed.

We both had spacious family rooms, which are hard to find in European cities.

Rooms are decorated with exquisite taste; staff super friendly.

The room was very nice, clean, spacious and comfortable.

The only negative I could say, was that the suite sits literally outside the lift shaft. The lift being super fast (great when you want to get to breaky/outside or to your room!)

but we smell someone smoked in their room from our room.

One disapppointmeny was a bed cover that was soiled.

There is occasionally a "toilet smell" when you enter the lobby, not always

Only knock was the breakfast was a little over priced and room 109 had a strange smell by the door.

Just an issue : the smell inside the hotel is not good maybe due to the location inside Barcelona.

However, look out for the projecting 'low bench' at the bottom of the bed which can give  
a nasty bump on the ankles.

If you smoke, you may want to consider one of their 1st floor rooms with private terrace.

Not to mention, the toilet paper smells great!

but it has three serious flaws: 1) flushing the toilet results in a fountain-like content spraying all over the place or even you if you are not a quick jumper; 2) the sliding transparent doors leave 1-2 inches of lateral gap providing zero privacy; 3) the potential smell from e.g.

Toilette smelt of raw sewage, in fact it was really strong.

We weren't mad keen on the carpet too - it was a bit smelly and we'd prefer a solid floor in a warm climate.

And if you still can eat, why not order a smoke salmon plate, or your choice of omellettes, even an American style breakfast plate.

however, so those preferring cozy and charming may not like the cool vibe and the slight smell of musk spray in the corridors.

Cons: the room has odd designs - sink is separate from the rest of the bathroom and water drips onto the carpet, you can't turn on just the bathroom lights (if someone is sleeping and the other in the shower, have to leave the room lights on) shower floor drains on the sides.

The HVAC was challenging in that the room's temperature varied somewhere between a meat locker and sweat lodge, without much in between.

Couldn’t use Netflix or streaming services

All the staff we encountered at reception were super friendly and helpful.

At the end, cant end the review without mention the staff, they are very friendly, helpful and supportive.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the walls are incredibly thin and our late & loud neighbours disrupted my sleep a few nights.

Our corner was dark- the one room (2 twin beds) looked into a wall of the building next door and the other (king bed plus a twin) overlooked some roofs.

The walls are a bit thin, so the noise levels will spend on your neighbor.

but walls are thin, there were problems with lighting and room service food was sub-par.

**The Bad: the noise due to the paper thin walls and no soundproofing.

The walls between the bedrooms are thin, so you do hear your neighbours more than in some other hotels.

My only complaint is that the walls were fairly thin between the room and the hallway and we could hear other hotel guests walking around early in the morning,

Only drawback was that the walls were quite thin so we could more or less hear conversations from other rooms.

Sometimes I could here sounds coming through the walls.

but no outlook - there is a floral pattern painted on the wall of the adjacent building (about a metre away) in lieu of actual scenery! But is had a comfortable bed and an oversized TV screen (which obscured half the window!)

The only issue we have is the toilet bowl which somehow wasn't firmly fixed to the wall.

Cons: stains on the sofa; the bed is two small mattresses attached not comfy; we couldn't find how to close the shades; walls on the thin side.

Only issue I had was once when I took a room on the first floor and seems there the walls are very thin and could hear everything in the nearby room.

The sink was hidden behind the wall in the bedroom, which i didnt mind

It allowed us to take a nap and grab a hot shower before the soccer match at Camp Nou.

Metro stops were nearby with easy and quick transport to Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, Camp Nou, etc.

Additionally, they have always helped in securing great tickets to games at the Camp Nou.

Camp Nou (home of FC Barcelona) is only a 25min train ride away.

we booked this hotel for a trip to visit Camp Nou and watch FC Barcelona play.

The bar on premises is closed on Sunday's and Monday's which is a bit of a bummer

Travelers tip 2: when planning your activities in Barcelona, keep in mind that many places are closed on Sunday.

The elevators, halls and rooms feel closed.

We had the drapes closed for privacy most of the time so the room had a cave-like feel to it.

but be aware that the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The area is then closed for an hour, allowing the staff to remove breakfast and ready the area for the rest of the day.

We had the "city suite," and it was huge when the sofa bed was closed.

We didn't make use of the downstairs area as it was closed during our stay -

At 11:30, breakfast closed and an extensive choice of snacks, salad, soup, and drinks were available - all at no extra cost.

but once the doors to the balconies were closed, you could not hear a thing.

Because it was a holiday, many sites and restaurants were closed.

The kids did not like the fact that the sliding door separating the bathroom and bedroom did not close fully due to the design of the hanging rail around the wall which meant the door had no lock and a very small gap was left when closed.

however our adapter kept falling out when we closed the safe door.

Unfortunately, the restaurant next door was closed 2 of the 3 nights I was there and  I did not have a reservation for the first night.

The bedroom was dead quiet and so dark that it became too easy to sleep too long.

A bit concerned because the photos showed what appeared to be a dark (red walls) & smallish room.

I would recommend an upper floor as the 1st floor is a bit dark (and I was on the 'city view' side) and noisy if you have your windows open.

Everything was dark red and black not very inviting in my own personal view.

The only thing to note about the room is that it’s a bit dark and faces the street.

If I had one nit-pick it's that the room was rather dark, and there was an area of the room that wasn't lit at all.

My husband was able to sit up and watch tv while I went off to sleep in a dark room.

but to get to hotel you had to walk about 3 blocks  down a very dark narrow street/alley.

You can make the room as bright or dark as you want with the roll down blinds.

Perhaps the most important is that there is no clock that can be read in the dark so it is impossible to know the time with the shades drawn unless you turn on your cell phone.

but very dark due to red and black decor and lack of enough natural light.

Lighting could have been better as the bedroom was a little dark.

Rooms in the A part comprise 2 parts: a bedroom with bath facing the vertical gardens (very quiet,but a bit on the dark side) and across the floor a small living area with a hammock (this side faces a small road well frequented also in the night).

At first the bedroom feels a bit dark as there are no windows,

although this view and red colour of bedroom make this place rather dark.

The main reason I could not give it 5 stars was because the room was so dark with harsh lighting and it got very little natural daylight which kind of spoilt the experience.
