 - I didn’t get time to use the terrace and spa so this review is only based on the room / room service.
 - The amenities are amazing, the spa, quiet and clean, and the breakfast was delicious.

 - It took 30 minutes for someone to come fix our door - by that time we had missed a tour we booked.
 - Although the complex beyond the front door was dated in other ways and the age shows.
 - they upgraded us to a larger room for a small fee, they handled our luggage, woke us up and called us a cab right to the front door.
 - To start, I felt very sick from a rough flight when I arrived and was greeted at the door by Edu.

 - The best, the people in front desk.
 - Staff is kind
 - Amazing breakfast with attentive, kind, multi-lingual staff (Pablo and Johana) Our room was off the garden and made for relaxing place to rest in the middle of the day.
 - Javier, our bartender/waiter, was fantastic and very attentive to our needs.
 - But the best thing that made our evening was the warm , hospitable and professional attitude from Javier the waiter .

 - The location of the hotel made it easy for us to walk to several great tourist spots including the beach and the local market (Mercat de la Barceloneta) which was incredible as well.
 - the market is also very close and there is lots to do nearby.
 - The location could not be better: right on La Rambla, by Liceu metro station and Boqueira market.
 - We were able to walk to so many places-The Cathedral of Barcelona, Placa Catalunya, St Josephs Market, and shops and restaurants too numerous to count.
 - The location was wonderful, just off the Ramblas and very near to the market bearing its name.

 - Special thanks to the Marina restaurant manager.
 - Our second stay in Barcelona, we opted to be by the marina and chose Hotel Arts Barcelona which used to be a Ritz Carlton.
 - The location of the hotel was fantastic in the marina and surrounded by many restaurants and free walking areas.
 - We ate in the Marina restaurant and the Arola Restaurant, both of which were excellent, particularly enjoyed the tapas!
 - To those people a big thank you : Alex Mitats, the Club Lounge Team, Marina staff, The Pool Manager and the Pool staff and Mary at the concierge who saved my holidays when I did not feel too well ! Gracias!

 - But fool me once/shame on me for ordering a turkey sandwich (in honor of Thanksgiving Day being celebrated back home) without asking the price (it is not on the menu).
 - .but whoever designd the hotel forgot to factor in window cleaing - we had difficulty seeing out our window For an expensive breakfast, it is served in a cavernous room, reminiscent of a works canteen.
 - but very expensive and the portions are tiny.
 - Additionally breakfast is very expensive, $50 per person so recommend an inclusive rate.
 - The carpet throughout, particularly the first floor lifts are third world, like shocking to see carpet like that… Overall the hotel needs to replace some worn out elements, hardly expensive and put basic things in the room.

 - We were staying in a Club Room which meant we had access to the Club Lounge on level 33.
 - Especially the staff in the club lounge.
 - Always a great stay at the Arts - Ritz Carlton do a great job of service and the club lounge is one of the best in Europe with amazing views from a triple height ceiling.

 - However I then saw other guests smoking and throwing cigarette
 - Although it did have a slightly foul odor in it that was odd.
 - Plus it Smelled so bad ( cigarette), the table was stained and not clean and the bed was full of feather.
 - Right away the room smelled GREAT (their signature room spray which they also sell) Im not sure why the 1st 2 rooms didn’t have this scent.

 - The hotel is located by the water, about a $10 cab ride from Las Ramblas, and within walking distance of several restaurants and a vibrant nightlife.
 - Yes is close to Gothic and El Born and Ramblas ,
 - It's further away from the Gothic Quarters, Las Ramblas and Passeig de Gràcia (where most tourists like to frequent).
