Directly next to a Metro station and within a 15 minute stroll of many of Barcelona's main attractions this hotel was a very good choice .

It's in a great area of Barcelona right outside a Metro station and within a 10 minute walk of lots of fantastic restaurants.

Especially good thing for business person is distance to the metro station.

The hotel is modern, clean, quiet, comfortable and just a few steps from a metro station that gives access to all the main tourist sites within 5 to about 30 minutes.

Selected this hotel because it is right beside Urgell Metro station and near to Aerobus stop for convenience.

This is a modern, designer hotel which is on a major avenue called the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and very close to the Urgell metro station.

The location is also great, as the metro station is just outside the hotel.

Metro station just a few steps away and on good walking distance to the best shopping areas of the city.

The metro station Urgell L1 is at 20 meters distance from the entrance, which makes it extremely easy to visit the city.

The hotel is central and near metro station L1 Urgell so convenience is a plus.

One main advantage, the Urgell metro station (L1) is directly in front of the hotel, a bus stop is just round corner.

Right next to the metro station along with several bars and restaurants.

The location of the hotel was great, it was right by the metro station, plenty of restaurants and not far from the clothing stores.

There is also the Urgel Metro station, almost right next to the hotel.

The hotel is located near the Metro station giving the visitor easy access to the entire city.

- Additionally close to the Metro station and 10-15 minutes walk to the historic city center.

Excellent location just outside Urgell Metro station on Gran via de les courts and walking distance from Placa de Catalunya and La Rambla.

Very clean rooms, and there was minimal noise coming from the street outside.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we had a terrace with a view of the city.

The sheets, pillow, and bed were very comfortable and smelled very clean.

We cannot fault the hotel at all, the room was spacious and clean and the rooftop / pool was lovely.

The room was generally dark even the corridor despite having on all the lights On room.

But then you go to use the bathroom and toilet - it's very dark and suddenly the funky lighting doesn't work in your favour.

and the light of room was so dark and opened window was so narrow.

The hotel theme is modern, albeit a bit dark in places.

but light still comes through and around these so if (like me) you like a completely dark room you will notice this.

buttons, hot/warm lighting, and combinations (if you arrive tired and it’s too frustrating, remove the key card and it goes dark).

but lighting made the halls and room quite dark.

Decor was dark and corridors were unsettling as they are so dark.

Interior deco is a little dark, like a night club.

although I did find the lighting a little dark in the room.

My only complaints are the shower has a small glass partition that gets water all over the floor and the room can be a bit dark.

We booked a standard double room and it was a bit dark as the hotel is a high-rise building and there is not much natural light

The only let down was how dark the rooms were and sometimes the room smelt unpleasant.

Decor is minimalist and contemporary in neutral, dark colors.

The hotel is located directly on "Grand via" with high noise level from the street.

Searching for a comfortable modern hotel which is perfectly located for sightseeing whilst not being too expensive for a family of 7 comprising 3 generations is not always easy

The location is very practical : the metro is a 2 steps from the hotel, Plaza de Catalunya is at 10 minutes walking distance, so are the stores in Passeig de Gracia and the many restaurants available in the neighbourhood.

Great hotel 10 minute walk to the Plaza de Catalunya, the airport bus stops practically outside you need to get off at the Ugell stop we bought a return ticket costing about 12 euro.Ugell 
 is also a metro station minutes from the hotel.

The hotel is very nice, modern and in a very strategic location, on the Gran Via close to Plaza de Catalunya.

The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of Plaza de Catalunya and Las Ramblas.

A great location for sightseeing, near to Plaza de Catalunya and with a metro stop a stones throw away, you can get to almost all the sights in Barcelona.

At least for the room where I stayed, you could see that it was already a little bit "run-down", so some renovation  might be recommended.

The room was extremely spacious unlike most city-break-style hotels.

The room they provided is stunning and we will be returning…a professional and extremely high standard hotel chain.

We’d seen how many of the hotels had thefts from their receptions so this was really important to us.

On one hand, the reception staff did not seem genuinely concerned about customer needs, even when suitable rooms were available.

Staff were great, both at the front desk (Roberto was exceptionally helpful) and in the breakfast area.

I personally tried temporarily closing the window tightly, and I felt a significant reduction in the noise.

The sound insulation of the windows facing to the street was not good enough.

However, the front desk assigned me a room with an internal window.

Heavy traffic makes the room a bit noisy with thin windows.

The door in the balcony did not seal well and street noise was quite loud at times.

but it had a pane of glass that extended across about 1/3 of the tub length.)

but has powered blinds that can be closed with the touch of a button.

The only thing to complain about is that you can not turn off the lights themselves in the window which are switched on and off automatically.

The very cool miniblinds in the windows don't work--permanently.

Only things that would make this hotel the best would be to put blinds or a curtain on the shower glass wall, as in the bedroom you can see straight into the shower, as there is no privacy which wasn’t the best.

Also noted in other reviews, it was a bit irritating not being able to amend the blinds between the window panes.

The rooftop pool bar is opened until midnight.

The rooftop pool and bar was an added bonus with views over Barcelona, Glories tower and Sagrada Familia.

Good view and a decent pool, good rooftop bar, excellent breakfast and very comfortable rooms.

Special mention to Andrea, the Italian guy working on rooftop bar, for his kindness, efficiency, smile and availability.

The rooftop bar and pool has amazing views over the city.

Well located hotel in Glories district of Barcelona with excellent views over the city from its 19th floor bar and pool.

The hotel had a bar on thr top floor (19th) with a pool and lounge area (the pool wasn't open as seasonal)

The rooftop bar is a really good place to relax.

The room was clean and large enough for a family, with beautiful city views.

We had an upgrade and were in room 1629 with views over  the city.

The rooftop terrace has awesome views of the city and ocean.

We paid for a family room with a city view which was well worth it - the view was breath-taking!

Incredible views over the city, great lunch served in the room, impeccable and discreet service.

The main difference was the incredible city view looking out over the city and onto the Sagrada Familia.

but the var was and it was a great place to relax with drinks and a great view of the city.

We had a room on the 12th floor and the view of the city and sunset was beautiful.

however access to the rooftop was still open with an amazing view of the city.

The kids loved the sheer choice at breakfast, the room on the 15th floor was clean & had great views across the city & the hotel staff were friendly & helpful.

Roof top bar has fantastic views over the city.

There are several metro stations nearby and there are views of the sea and the city, along with the Sagrada Familia.

The hotel had good family rooms with absolutely fantastic views of the city which we loved, as did the kids.

but by night the rooftop bar is a haven for a  sangria and spectacular views over the city.

Not only could you enjoy the drinks, could  enjoy yoga classes from a breathtaking view of the city.

but it was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

It’s a clean, functional and seemingly quite new hotel, with a fabulous view from the top pool/bar area.

Room was spacious, clean and well presented.

Your room key was needed to access the room floors in the lift and it could be temperamental which was annoying as I had to get the room key replaced a couple of times.

It meant you often got stuck in the elevator, stairs or even the hallway trying to gain entry to your room.

but not for kids

But please please please get the card readers in the lift fixed!

In the meantime when i took the lift to go back to my room i got questioned by serveral hotel guest what the problem whas.

as a diamond accor member we were put in the noisiest room of all (stay away from the elevators, which by the way are a complete mess).

WIth all that being said, make sure you don't get a room next to a lift.

Moreover, my room was near the elevators, so very noisy.

Has 3 lifts , one was broken on our last day ,

Only thing was we had a room next to a lift shift which did disturb us on the first night, we asked reception the following morning of we could change to a different room which was no hassle at all and done straight away.

The third experience was in the pool on the rooftop on 8 September no lifeguard was available or staff to give the towel or watch the pool safely to complete the worst experience when I try to go back to my room my key-card stop to working on the lift because automatically close my stay

but this hotel has a funny commercial policy, they charge you the room as if they were afraid that the customer who left a credit card imprint leaves at the end of the stay like a thief, and they do not sell a box of water greater than 50cl, in order to maximize the margin, there is an interminable wait to take one of the 3 elevators.

Elevators in this hotel are not easy to use.

but their insistence on formal dining and seating of patrons slowed things down massively, especially for me, as I was just looking for a yogurt and pastry),  stunningly slow elevators (they were never all working.  )

The lifts were an absolute nightmare, if they even came when you called for one.

Some upkeep needs to be done as there are elevator

Negatives: Elevators were terrible, cards didn’t work half the time nor did the left elevator.

Hotel is ok located outside main area -  upgraded to suite which was nice - keycards are temperamental - overall staff were good.

The location was good - Westfield across the road for cafes and restaurants and the tram and bus network also just outside.

Highly priced relative to the service and location !

The hotel is located near Gloriés metro station and there are lots of taxis outside.

It was a pleasure having such a good time  in such a nice location.. and good company
