The location of this hotel is great - walking distance to beach, on the edge of the Gothic district, close to Picasso museum, Barcelona cathedral, walking distance to La Sagrada (longer walk),  close to Metro trains and tons of shopping,  bars and restaurants.

(P.S have a wander round Barcelona Cathedral at night, we stumbled upon a fab free opera show and a gymnast performing with a hoop)

We did all the usual sights, Camp Nou, Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, Barcelona Cathedral,Parc de la Cuitadella and even the Zoo!

Thr rooftop bar/restaurant has good views of the port and the Gothic Quarter/El Born/Barcelona Cathedral are just behind the hotel.

It was our 2nd stay in this hotel, nice location close to the old port, beach area, La Rambla, Barcelona Cathedral & Square, very clean, stuff was very nice, breakfast was OK, very nice upper terrace !

The hotel was immaculate, the breakfast in the morning was wonderful and delicious . .

Excellent hotel,very friendly and welcoming, good for the city, Beach or for relaxing on the rooftop, rooms are excellent, lovely breakfast, staff very friendly and attentive, nothing is a problem.

but they more than made up for the inconvenience by granting us breakfast at the sister hotel,  and a complimentary mimosa upon arrival to the rooftop!

We had breakfast every day and the quality of the food is high and fresh.

From the staff answering questions and accommodating our requests prior to us arriving to our arrival and every day after,  The entire staff from the front desk, at breakfast, at the rooftop bar all were accommodating.

The breakfast was very good — as was our pre-dinner drink on rooftop each evening.

From helping us get everything from cabs to covid tests at the hotel to a delicious and breathtaking rooftop dinner to primo location at the edges of 3 of our favorite neighborhoods in Barcelona (Barceloneta beaches, shopping and nightlife in El Born, and eating and churches in Barri Gotic).

Our rooms and bathrooms were outstanding and breakfast was the best  we have ever had!

The drinks on the rooftops have been amazing, as well as the breakfast that caters to every kind of need, from vegan to meat lover.

New brand mattress, spotless, quiet with fresh and colorful breakfast buffet from 7am.

Our pool was closed due to construction which was a bummer

but during the morning the construction site next door started drilling which was too much noise for us.

However, you can hear your neighbors talking etc and the construction noise was insane (8am-8pm).

We had 2 rooms on the 2nd floor both right above the construction work and one of them also beside a room being renovate.

17 JAN 2017  I spent a night in a HOTEL that not only had construction going until the evening, the alley along the HOTEL had young adults loitering outside !!!

One caveat – there was construction noise from the adjacent property during limited mid-day hours on certain days,

Tons of construction noise while we were there.

We were never notified of noisy internal construction, nor was an apology issued. 3.

Our only issue was that they were doing construction on the room below which was noisy.

There appeared to be ongoing construction which got started at 9 am.

Unfortunately there was construction taking place which we were not warned about, so there was quite a lot of noise from drilling and banging during the day.

The hotel is in a fabulous location for restaurants and attractions.

Service is 5 stars, hotel is 4.5 stars, rooftop bar 5 stars, location 6 stars.

It is well located across from the harbour, it is clean, has lovely and large rooms, had a king size comfortable bed with good pillows and nice linens, and we fully recommend it.

The hotel is in a lovely position near to Port Vell and there are many good restaurants nearby.

The location is fine with a terrific roof top bar overlooking the harbor.

Everything from the wonderful location, cleanliness and above average customer service!

The hotel is in a well maintained old heritage building, in a perfect location between the gothic quarter and the water front/beaches.

Its located in Barri Gotic and close to our favourite district El Born.

Not only is this hotel in a wonderful location, it was exceptionally clean and very well run.

All that plus an excellent location, good rooms that can also accommodate a family, etc.

However, I need to take care of my car ( yes, the street in front of the hotel is quite busy and no parking space in the hotel).

Finally, if you had a car and needed somewhere to park, it wouldn’t be next to the hotel.

Also the parking for the car was just on the other side of the street.

It was full when we arrived so we had to park down by port olympic which had pre paid rates for 5 days for 60 Euro.

The hotel does not provide parking. But there is a parking lot across the street (not cheap.)

(We were parked illegally outside and the soldier next door gave us only a few min to drop off our stuff).

Parking is an issue: The hotel is located at a busy road and does not offer any parking facilities.

And don't forget to book a carpark lot just in front / Si vous venez en voiture réservez en ligne à l'avance votre place de parking : entrée en face de l'hôtel, compter 25 euros pour 24 heures, ce qui est, au vu des pratiques barcelonaises, tout à fait acceptable.

There is only one negative thing to say and that is that parking infront of the hotel is imposible.

I parked the car and returned to the hotel on foot.

Parking is very difficult and very expensive.

Although there was no parking, the car park was just over the road, and after finding the entrance !!

Parking is a nightmare so don't stay here if you are coming by car! !

Only downside was no parking so the public car park cost a bit!

but all parking in Barcelona is expensive).

The room was clean, bigger than expected, there was champagne waiting for us.

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

The Premium room was spacious and was ideal for us .

Welcoming, friendly staff, spotlessly clean room, lovely rooftop terrace restaurant/bar with gorgeous views.

They informed us it had arrived and placed it in our room!

The room was magnificent- and perfect for the last part of our vacation.

The rooms are beautiful and I can highly recommend this.

The hotel was beautiful, in a lovely old building and with a very comfortable room and great service.

This place feels quite new from the lobby to the room.

Family room was very spacious- 2 proper beds for the children.

Large clean rooms, quiet property, beautiful rooftop and wonderful views I cannot say enough good things about this Hotel and its staff.

We had drinks and dinner on the rooftop, enjoying the beautiful views of the Barcelona harbor.

The rooftop bar and dipping pools are amazing with sweeping views of the yacht harbor, ocean in distance, gondolas, etc.

The roof terrace/pool and bar area had great views over the marina definitely worth a visit.

The hotel is clean, located in a very convenient location, you have a great view to the harbor and La Rambla is just a block or two away.

Particularly the roof terrace restaurant is a must see, perfect views and very good food.

The location was all ready walk to the sea and Gothic quarter!Quarter!!

The hotel staff were excellent, the hotel food was excellent, the hotel itself was excellent and very nice and clean, the hotel rooftop bar was an excellent touch with a great view.

This time we got room no 11 with a nice view to the harbour,

Our waterfront facing room had double pane windows so very quiet at night, even with fun loving groups walking by at all hours.

Walls thin and the noise really travels so if you like real peace and quiet to sleep you may struggle.

The only slight criticism would be the rather thin walls! !

This room also has stains on the wall that I think that should be either painted or cleaned.

Our room could have been a little cleaner as there was a lot of dust that had settled on the walls.

Only downfall is the walls are VERY thin you can hear the neighbours do everything

Unfortunately, it has the thinnest walls you can imagine.

The walls are also paper thin and you can hear everything in the hallways and voices from surrounding rooms.

However, my only dislike was the that wall between our room and the one next door seemed to be too thin and the room was not soundproof enough to shut out the activities of the night outside as well as our neighbours.

Being on the first floor, the walls reached all the way up to the roof terrace, whcih meant natural light was very scarce.

There were three of us and the room was perfect as it had one king bed and two single beds against the opposite wall so noone had to snore in each others faces :)  The quality of the finishes everywhere was very high.

I think the rooms had been renovated last year and the hotel is in fact an old 'palace' which is brilliant as the walls and floors are really solid so no noise at all from other rooms!

There were some stains on the walls near the entrance of the room from drink spills and the wall socket next to the bed was loose.

They mentioned in the room description that window is looking at yard, in the reality it was a tube inside (in the center) the building 1.5 by 1,5 meters and you can only see the sky and rooms of your neiborhoods in the three other walls.

Rooms are relatively small and depressing due to the color of the walls.

We had a Junior Suite which is really two rooms combined with the wall removed.

Perfect location for me as it is walk-able to many of the major attractions - 7 mins to Casa Mila and Casa Batllo, 15 mins to Sagrada Familia, and 20 mins to Barcelona Cathedral.

The design and layout was classy, lovely comfy beds, staff were great,  facilities were great, lovely pool and sun terrace, great breakfasts, perfect location for Gaudi houses and cathedral and catching a taxi.

The breakfast was beautiful alot to choose from and again the staff were brilliant.

The breakfast buffet is delicious and the perfect way to start your day.

Again we stayed in this hotel because of the very comfortable room, the very good breakfast and the very kind staff.

Only had the breakfast once and opted for other local options as it was only ok. We had a really nice stay, would stay again and would recommend.

Elevator was in bad condition at first 2 days, making a lot of noise all day and night long.

One thing that we noticed was that the lift was very noisy right next to our room,

This room was a little noisy from the action of the lifts

between the elevator and your bedroom is a huuuuuuge bathroom.

Additional elevator at "rush hour" would be welcome (only 2 for 8 floors).

One point of contention is the lift noise.

The elevator is small, as far as we could tell fairly typical of the hotels we stayed in during our vacation, the elevator could fit 2 people and 2 large bags and even that was a little tight.

On arrival we were given a glass of bubbly, nice start.we were in room 715, it's right next to the lift so was a bit dismayed.The room is  very small compared to what I'm used to

The only thing I would mention if you are planning to stay in the penthouse is that there is a lot of noise from the lift.

On arrival we were given our room card and that was it, no " enjoy your stay" and didn't even show us in which direction the lift was.

Firstly as a previous reviewer the lifts are noisy next to Suite.

but unfortunately it was whenever the lift was used.

We had a room directly next to the elevators yet had no issue with noise from them and rarely heard any noise from the hallways or neighbouring rooms.

but is located perfectly for other lands marks.

The location was great you could get anywhere within walking distance and the beach/harbour was a leisurely 30-40min walk.

The location is perfect for exploring beautiful Barcelona.

We were very pleased with the accommodations-clean, attractive, comfortable, safe, friendly and a great location for walking (or metro) to everywhere we wanted to go (< mile to Sagrada Familia, a bit further to Park Guell (up hill) and Gaudi House, 2 miles (flat) to Barceloneta).

Loved the location - the surrounding area is safe, walkable, and attractive, with many restaurants.

We picked the hotel because the position was perfect for sightseeing around the city.

In terms of location, the hotel is situated within a few minutes walk of the Girona metro station, and within 10 minutes walk of the Verdaguer metro station, which we used quite a bit during our visit.

It was in a great location, not even 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station (Girona), 15 minutes walk from Sagrada Familia and about 10 minutes walk to one of the main streets and train stations (passeig de gracia).

We were thrilled to find our room had a terrace overviewing the buzzy streets and skyline of Barcelona.

We arrived earlier than check in time due to our flights, and they stored bags for us so we could head out and explore until rooms were ready which was great.

Our room was comfortable, a good size, well appointed and smartly decorated.

In overall, I would suggest them to remove bread or bakeries (tooo much bread in Spain in general) and put some other fruits, yogurts, healthy snacks, etc.

Also on one morning the melon had a nasty smell, indicating that it had gone off.

One morning I put do not disturb sign on the door.

This is a sign of a hotel that really cares.

It's a little removed from the business of La Rambla,

The staff were great very warm very welcoming.

Staff were great and always on hand to answer any questions or resolve any issues (we had a few below).

The hotel staff is so friendly and always helpful.

The manager, Asun,  checked me in and graciously comped 3 birthday cocktails at the rooftop/pool bar for our birthdays (two of us celebrating 60😩).

Very Clean, comfortable King Size bed, friendly staff, small balcony which could have been more private with separations,  great situation close to restaurants, market and transportation.

I had a view of the Barcelona Cathedral and wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel for my next visit to Barcelona.

Ideally located in the Gothic quarter/ Barrio Gòtic - literally 200m from the Barcelona Cathedral of which you have a perfect view from the beautiful rooftop bar/pool area.

Location is great…in gothic quarter close to Barcelona Cathedral (which makes it easier to find).

but worth it) and terrific location near the Barcelona Cathedral were among the many reasons we would highly recommend this hotel.

Well located in the Gothic Quarter, this hotel has a terrific roof desk and pool with views of Barcelona Cathedral at one end and the Sagrada Familia at the other.

The rooms were chic with a double balcony providing great views of the Barcelona Cathedral.
