 - I would not recommend a room towards the patio where you have no view at all.
 - but again the double glazed patio door and window ensured there was no traffic noise whatsoever.
 - We were placed on the first floor (didn’t hear a thing) with a patio that had 4 chairs and a sunbed which we thought was great for our kids to rest on until we get ready.

 - The rooftop bar is for sure worth a stop for the views (though drinks aren’t cheap)…the locals line up to head up so you know it’s a sight to see.

 - It’s walking distance to tons of food and shopping and right along a main road (Via Laietana) which provides easy access to both the beach and taxis that can easily (and cheaply) take you the iconic Park Guell and Sagrada Familia.

 - Special thanks to guest relations dept.
 - While waiting, guest relations manager Hugo Madrueño greeted us and let us know they prepared a comfortable room for my pregnant wife and me and to let him know if we needed anything at all.
 - They have tremendous staff and a special thank you to Marina in guest relations who helped us plan a special surprise for our daughter's birthday.
 - The guest relations manager Hugo was very helpful as I managed to book a trip to Palau de la musica Catalana on line on a french tour not English, he rang the venue and we managed to transfer our tickets to an English speaking tour, many thanks Hugo.
 - Extra thanks to Hugo from guest relations, who was helpful from the moment we arrived.

 - We could hear our neighbors talking, foot steps from the ceiling, every time the rooms beside us open there doors we think ours was opened.
 - Only issue is the bathroom is on the upper level so any night visit needs enough awareness to handle the half dozen steps.
 - The bedroom was on two slight levels with a desk and tea/coffee making facilities and then down some steps the beds and tv.
 - but in reality everyone moans about the steps into the room and how dangerous they are.
 - The shower was a great size and no big step to get into.

 - CONS: Noisy Housekeeping, Thin walls, thuds for door closing Garbage, Recycling bins on corner .
 - The pool was not clean around the walls at water level and clearly has a problem with black mould - on the grout around the small tiles around the pool and lots of bits of black mould in the water that the filter is not clearing out.
 - Two rooms do not have brick wall partitions, just probably wooden or some other material (partitions).
 - Only downside of the hotel was the noise and we had a lot of banging about coming through the walls and ceilings from other rooms plus noise from outside (despite the very quiet position of the hotel!).
 - Staff were great and the hotel and rooms were spotless, only downside was that the walls seemed very thin as we could here next door talking .

 - has less in useful space due to inside stairs [accounting for the high ceiling] and hallway.
 - however ignored the indoor mask policy for Covid 19 in the hallways and made us uncomfortable during our stay.
 - Only negative was the people in the next room - their kids were very loud & they would let them hang out & run around in the hall.
 - Once out of the elevator, the hallway and doors looks dingy and old industrial.
 - Negatives: Some noise from nearby rooms and corridors.

 - I had to get off the elevator because I was so uncomfortable.
 - The elevator is not big enough for 4 people.
 - Only feedback for improvement is for hotel to consider refurbishing the 4 lifts as they are quite “bouncy” and the sudden jerks upon arrival floor are bit scary.
