Loved the extensive coat rack, large fluffy towels and view from the bathroom.

The rooms are very well designed and user friendly, beds and bedding super comfy and the shower was great.

but the Casa Camper whether in Berlin or Barcelona has my favorite shower of any place that I have stayed in Europe.

The bathroom was away from the toilet and the shower was awesome.

The shower is also incredible and the room was very spacious and pleasant.

The amenities of the hotel is first class, from breakfast and snacks through the day and mobile wi-fi provided to visitors, which worked very well for most of the times in Barcelona, Montserrat and Girona.

I loved that we had 2 separate rooms - 1 for sleeping with washroom and 1 across the hall for relaxing with seating area, tv and hammock !!!

New, modern, lots of amenities - plus little fun quirk (hammocks in some rooms, key card on lanyard, loooong row of hooks for hanging things on in the room, "honest bar" on the roof top where you serve yourself and just make a note to be charged).

We had a suite (A35) for ourselves and our daughter / boyfriend and even with just the one bathroom it was spacious and sufficiently private for all.

The shower was so nice with optional handpiece or rain shower.

Friendliest staff, hotel full of thoughtful amenities from slippers for the room to small info packet about hotel and city to carry in your purse.

Each room is perfectly equipped with a great bed, bathroom, robes, etc.

You are immediately greeted at the door, provided a tour of the hotel, the amenities and shown to your room, where once again they take great effort to make sure you are well taken care of.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower has excellent pressure and good hot water.

Comfortable rooms, great staff, complimentary food and drink after 12.30pm, the roof terrace, the rain shower on the roof, the location, great chef who cooks your breakfast to order.

In a place like Europe where 5 stars don’t want to give you complimentary water bottles for the room, they had a dedicated area, filled with amenities, snacks and beverages, free of charge and around the clock.

The location is convenient to Las Ramblas and within walking distance to many of the sightseeing attractions such as Gaudi’s Casa Batllo, Gaudi’s Museum next to the old Cathedral, La Pedrera and the Medieval Roman section.

I highly recommend the obvious. .Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo (very cool!)

The bar on premises is closed on Sunday's and Monday's which is a bit of a bummer

Travelers tip 2: when planning your activities in Barcelona, keep in mind that many places are closed on Sunday.

The elevators, halls and rooms feel closed.

We had the drapes closed for privacy most of the time so the room had a cave-like feel to it.

but be aware that the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The area is then closed for an hour, allowing the staff to remove breakfast and ready the area for the rest of the day.

We had the "city suite," and it was huge when the sofa bed was closed.

We didn't make use of the downstairs area as it was closed during our stay -

At 11:30, breakfast closed and an extensive choice of snacks, salad, soup, and drinks were available - all at no extra cost.

but once the doors to the balconies were closed, you could not hear a thing.

Because it was a holiday, many sites and restaurants were closed.

The kids did not like the fact that the sliding door separating the bathroom and bedroom did not close fully due to the design of the hanging rail around the wall which meant the door had no lock and a very small gap was left when closed.

however our adapter kept falling out when we closed the safe door.

Unfortunately, the restaurant next door was closed 2 of the 3 nights I was there and  I did not have a reservation for the first night.

The bedroom was dead quiet and so dark that it became too easy to sleep too long.

A bit concerned because the photos showed what appeared to be a dark (red walls) & smallish room.

I would recommend an upper floor as the 1st floor is a bit dark (and I was on the 'city view' side) and noisy if you have your windows open.

Everything was dark red and black not very inviting in my own personal view.

The only thing to note about the room is that it’s a bit dark and faces the street.

If I had one nit-pick it's that the room was rather dark, and there was an area of the room that wasn't lit at all.

My husband was able to sit up and watch tv while I went off to sleep in a dark room.

but to get to hotel you had to walk about 3 blocks  down a very dark narrow street/alley.

You can make the room as bright or dark as you want with the roll down blinds.

Perhaps the most important is that there is no clock that can be read in the dark so it is impossible to know the time with the shades drawn unless you turn on your cell phone.

but very dark due to red and black decor and lack of enough natural light.

Lighting could have been better as the bedroom was a little dark.

Rooms in the A part comprise 2 parts: a bedroom with bath facing the vertical gardens (very quiet,but a bit on the dark side) and across the floor a small living area with a hammock (this side faces a small road well frequented also in the night).

At first the bedroom feels a bit dark as there are no windows,

although this view and red colour of bedroom make this place rather dark.

The main reason I could not give it 5 stars was because the room was so dark with harsh lighting and it got very little natural daylight which kind of spoilt the experience.

The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms great!

We had twin beds which were comfortable with plenty of pillows, and the lovely bathroom had a large bath with fantastic overhead shower, a huge double wash basin, and the crowning glory of some gorgeous Rituals toiletries.

The room had robes and sleepers, coffee and cold complimentary beverages in the fridge.

Our room had a lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, a sofa and a Juliette balcony that overlooked the street below.

although situated in small side street, within 80 metres from "Ramblas" within easy reach of Resturants, Shopping outlets and Central Market Area with many stalls selling things from seafood to nuts.

I had room 314 which was nicely laid out with a great bathroom.

The bathroom was very modern with rainshower and twin bowls.

but the room was modern, with a great shower and extremely comfy bed.

These hotel has a perfect location to visit the city,the staff is very nice and the hotel is a beautiful historical building ,bathrooms are modern and very nice and beds are confortable, very quiet ,and has AC , we will come back for sure from now on our Barcelona hotel!

The front desk staff was excellent and our room was ideal: king size bed, very nice bathroom and great bath linens.

This hotel is lovely and central with all amenities.

I think we had a disable friendly room, really big and spacious with a wet room bathroom.

The hairdryer is the old style one, attached to the walk and as soon as it was on for 5 min, it overheated and stopped working.

Our room was spacious, street noise cancelled by excellent opening and closing windows and shutters, bed was super comfy and bath large.

The bathrooms have the thickest towels I have ever had in a hotel.

Rooms are European (smallish) with modern baths.

Great staff, fantastic food, walking distance to many of Barcelona's featured attractions including Antoni Goudi's Casa Batllo, an absolute must see.

We selected Hotel Espana so that we could walk to the beach, as well as attractions like Casa Batllo.

It is within easy walking distance of Museu Picasso, Palau de la Musica, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera - we walked to all four places in one day.

The hotel was perfectly situated too for easy access to most things, if you don't mind a bit of a stroll we walked to Sagrada Familia and Montjuic, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera are within very easy distance.

Sliding doors were utilized to save space, with the sliding door between our bathroom & bedroom not working.

I had to ask them the open the door to the rooftop pool & everything seemed to be late for completion.

When the balcony door was shut, it was soundproof.

Just needed to be careful with the shower and toilet doors.

The shower door in my room was blocked from fully opening by the sink.

The walls were thin as I could hear the guy next door snoring, no problem for me as I always bring earplugs to hotels.

Doorman was frequently more interested in flirting with other patrons than assisting with the front door.

The shower stall leaked water onto the bathroom floor due to poor design and the large gap in its glass door.

The showers leaked all over the floor and it is a very noisy hotel I could hear people in the flats next door and walking through the hotel very clearly all night.

Not very clean room, wardrobe and loo doors definitely needs a repair (its making a terrible sound once you a slidding them).

Only criticism was the bathroom lavatory door couldn’t open wide.

If you not good with heights maybe not a good idea in this room as straight outside your door is a balcony surrounding all the rooms .

Turn right out of the front door and the Ramblas are less than a minute away.

If like me your  claustrophobic you need to have the door open.

The only problems we had were that the AC was difficult to understand/operate and that the shower door let a lot of water out and it often puddled.

but it never went away entirely and we learned to keep the bathroom door closed.

We opted for bed only during our stay and instead used the pastry shop a 60 second walk turning left outside of the front doors.

However, as the hotel room floors are hardwood and not carpet we could hear the room above walking around constantly and the next door rooms TV, so if you are a light sleeper ear plugs would be a recommendation.

Also listening to next doors row at 2am not fun.

Rooms are small my children had an upgraded twin room as they didn’t want to sleep together in a double bed and their room was a better size.

The rooms are tiny, the AC is terrible (don't stay here if you like to be cool at night), and the bathroom is too modern (very difficult to figure out how to use the fixtures).

However, the rooms are tiny, smell like it was once a birds cage, and are all very HOT and humid!

There was no renovated for many years in the room, in the bathroom, on the terrace.

The bathroom was huge, with plenty of counter space on the dual vanity.

One more thing shower pressure in the bathroom is very good.

Had nice amenities like bottled water, real bars of soap, slippers, robes, nice individual shampoo, etc.

We had two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, full kitchen, laundry, living room and plenty of storage space.

I researched so many hotels by location, amenities, and reviews.

They have fantastic amenities, the staff are very polite and happy to help.

A perfect combination of old world class with all the modern amenities!

Main bedroom was on suite with jacquzi  bath with a shower overhead which was really powerful.

We were upgraded, via American Express, from a Privilege Room to a Junior Suite, which had a sofa-bed for our daughter, and ample floor space & wardrobes and a huge 'marble-everywhere' bathroom.

The hotel is located between Casa Mila and Casa Batllo, two popular attractions.

Equal distance to Casa Batllo and La Pedrera in Gaudi's city with an extremely friendly staff serving.

Walking distance to La Perdera, Casa Batllo, Placa de Catalunya, metro stops, and many restaurants.

Not to far from the Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera , Casa Batllo and many others.

On the Paseo de Gracia, diametrically across from Casa Batllo!

There are also attractions just walking distance from the hotel - Gaudi's Casa Batllo and La Pedrera.

Our room, #823, was quiet with a lovely view of Paseo de Gracia and Casa Batllo.

The best hotel in Barcelona, located in the most amazing and beautiful area Paseo de Gràcia, which contains lots of shops and restaurants and also the most famous 2 monuments in the world "The Pedrera-Casa Milia" and the other Gaudi's masterpiece "Casa Batllo".

Impressed with the location of the Majestic which is within circa 20 minutes of Sagrade Familia and La Ramble,  with Casa Batllo within a few hundred yards.

Also a minute walk (literally) to La Pedrera and Casa Batllo.

Taking a shower and using a toilet in the dark with a phone flashlight was not fun during our stay.

The table edges were chipped, 2 lights burned out in the bathroom, a large chip missing in the bath tile, in need of woodwork paint, a door not closing on the closet, a curtain hook ripped and missing, and a phone with a message light that stayed on all three days of the stay.

Note it is easier to call cabs than use Uber app, so have Euro on hand in 1,2, and 5 dollar denominations so you can pay and tip a little.

I can imagine they could hear me talking on calls.

Breakfast was included with our stay- they accidentally charged us - it took 5 international phone calls to rectify.

We’d expect a management call at least .

There really isn't a pool there, even if they call it one, as it's just a small square crowded by all the people having drinks.

And provide assistance to customers at any time through the phone or reception.

The air conditioning was not cooling the room at this point I didn’t want to call anybody didn’t get maintenance to check the AC I had just given up.

No question goes unanswered and no request seems impossible.

Many people also could not check in until after 3pm

My advice— call ahead if you are getting in before 3pm, and definitely stay at the Mandarin Oriental.

Be sure to have an International phone plan because you will need your phone for everything.

after all the time spent calling to amex and dealing with the " manager" who was obviously not the manager, at least you can expecto to get an apology or something maybe insignificant to the hotel to fake they care which they did not of course.

I had specifically requested a baby crib at reservation and they confirmed it on the phone and of course it wasn’t set up and I had to nag about it and follow up.

We talked with someone via phone and she never called us back.

I wait 5 days to post incase I received a call

it took them hoalf a day and cost me USD150 for international roaming before they had put down the unique serial number of my iphone and then they switched it on somehow>

Drinks at bar are very pricey (19 euros for a pina colada).

A 3x3 size lasagna costing about $20 is way overpriced in the first place.

Paid $600 a night through Silverseas and unloaded the bus filled with 50 pieces of luggage with no assistance from hotel staff at 65 years old with 75 year old woman!

I felt we did not get the deluxe room we paid for and should of experienced.

For what the company paid for me to stay I was borderline annoyed.

When we brought this misunderstanding to the manager and explained that we would never have given as many items had it been per unit rather than per category of item, he simply remarked "This is a 5 star hotel and these are the prices".

The price you have to pay and what you get is just too much.

though I have to say that if it were not included in our rate, EUR39 would be rather steep for the kind of spread offered.

Overall for the price, a disappointing stay

Try to avoid airport transfer as overpriced.

but then we changed rooms and the second night was cold, a draft was coming from the windows which was a disappointment with the amount you are paying each night, also the minibar wasn’t included which again what you are paying a night we expected it to be free of charge even if it was water or crisps and then for the more expensive things then a price list starts then that would have made more sense.

I was denied concierge service to hold my luggage, inspite of offering to pay for the same.

We chose the Majestic over the better known high end hotels due to the size of the room for the price.

It’s a very expensive hotel in good location.
