It is located right in the middle of Barrio Gotico, so you are about 5 minute walk from Las Ramblas, and to the Arc de Triomf, Parc de la Citadella and Placa Catalunya where you can get transportation to anywhere, be it tourist buses or airport bus.

From there, it’s a short walk (5 mins, if that) to the Arc de Triomf Metro station.

The honesty bar was great with complimentary snacks - we took our own wines up there and it worked well.

There are soft drinks and snacks available all day I think and there’s a really lovely roof terrace with an honesty bar.

Be sure and have a drink in the bar with there outstanding mixologist Archie.

Rooftop honor bar is awesome and I love the fact that the separate some of their hotel rooms from sitting areas so that a family can have one person napping and another watching tv

Casa Camper is a great hotel for lots of reasons: perfect location, comfort, style, excellent breakfast, free food all day, roof deck with bar, exercise room, pool table lounge with bar, etc., etc.

The terrace of the Honesty Bar is also lovely, with great views of the city.

The terrace on the top floor is great - it has a really nice honor bar - the breakfast and snack situation is one of the best ever - overall great stay

There was a lovely rooftop terrace with a beautiful view, honour bar and seating areas.

New, modern, lots of amenities - plus little fun quirk (hammocks in some rooms, key card on lanyard, loooong row of hooks for hanging things on in the room, "honest bar" on the roof top where you serve yourself and just make a note to be charged).

Breakfast had many things to choose from and The Honesty Bar was so convenient in the evening to sit on the terrace and relax.

There is a full service bar in the basement and a gym.

There's a great rooftop honesty bar too for relaxing as well as the cocktail bar which is worth a visit.

The snack bar was delicious and a huge perk to have.

The rooftop is fabulous, and has an honor bar if wishing to enjoy a nice sunset with a glass of Spanish wine.

but they have an honor bar on the rooftop with everything you can think of.

The bar on premises is closed on Sunday's and Monday's which is a bit of a bummer

Travelers tip 2: when planning your activities in Barcelona, keep in mind that many places are closed on Sunday.

The elevators, halls and rooms feel closed.

We had the drapes closed for privacy most of the time so the room had a cave-like feel to it.

but be aware that the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The area is then closed for an hour, allowing the staff to remove breakfast and ready the area for the rest of the day.

We had the "city suite," and it was huge when the sofa bed was closed.

We didn't make use of the downstairs area as it was closed during our stay -

At 11:30, breakfast closed and an extensive choice of snacks, salad, soup, and drinks were available - all at no extra cost.

but once the doors to the balconies were closed, you could not hear a thing.

Because it was a holiday, many sites and restaurants were closed.

The kids did not like the fact that the sliding door separating the bathroom and bedroom did not close fully due to the design of the hanging rail around the wall which meant the door had no lock and a very small gap was left when closed.

however our adapter kept falling out when we closed the safe door.

Unfortunately, the restaurant next door was closed 2 of the 3 nights I was there and  I did not have a reservation for the first night.

The bedroom was dead quiet and so dark that it became too easy to sleep too long.

A bit concerned because the photos showed what appeared to be a dark (red walls) & smallish room.

I would recommend an upper floor as the 1st floor is a bit dark (and I was on the 'city view' side) and noisy if you have your windows open.

Everything was dark red and black not very inviting in my own personal view.

The only thing to note about the room is that it’s a bit dark and faces the street.

If I had one nit-pick it's that the room was rather dark, and there was an area of the room that wasn't lit at all.

My husband was able to sit up and watch tv while I went off to sleep in a dark room.

but to get to hotel you had to walk about 3 blocks  down a very dark narrow street/alley.

You can make the room as bright or dark as you want with the roll down blinds.

Perhaps the most important is that there is no clock that can be read in the dark so it is impossible to know the time with the shades drawn unless you turn on your cell phone.

but very dark due to red and black decor and lack of enough natural light.

Lighting could have been better as the bedroom was a little dark.

Rooms in the A part comprise 2 parts: a bedroom with bath facing the vertical gardens (very quiet,but a bit on the dark side) and across the floor a small living area with a hammock (this side faces a small road well frequented also in the night).

At first the bedroom feels a bit dark as there are no windows,

although this view and red colour of bedroom make this place rather dark.

The main reason I could not give it 5 stars was because the room was so dark with harsh lighting and it got very little natural daylight which kind of spoilt the experience.

Location was perfect, we could walk to almost everything (the beach, or the Sangria Familia, or Casa Mila, Casa Battllo, Arc de Triomf, high end shopping, or cheesy souvenir shopping, great restaurants are everywhere) and steps to access to transit and taxis if you want to go farther out.

The staff from the front deck, bar, and breakfast were all very friendly and attentive.

Breakfast fabulous, the restaurant was good. Also the bar is guite good (maybe we can change the coaches - they are too low and not so confortable as athmosphere)

We spent some time in the bar and the bartenders were great.

The view from the rooftop bar is lovely and the food in the restaurant is delicious.

but the lobby bar staff went above and beyond what was necessary for us to have a good night.

Some of the smaller bars and restaurants were lots of fun.

Our elegant 1 bedroom suite was tastefully appointed to the highest standards, along with the lobby, restaurant and bar areas.

A rooftop pool bar and restaurant is a big plus.

The lobby bar area is a fantastic place to have a drink and unwind….The live musicians in the evening are amazing especially the Canadian guy (sorry forgot his name) who had us all singing along to his rendition of Oasis’s Wonderwall….The hotel is excellently situated just off Las Ramblas with nicely decorated rooms of a reasonable size.

The rooftop pool and bar are great, lots of comfy seating and wonderful views of the city. If you’re unsure whether or not to book this hotel, do it… We’ll be coming back :0)

The rooftop pool and bar is the highlight of the hotel, with great views and nice amenities.

The small pool and bar on the hotel roof is a bonus, and the food served there during the day or in the evening is SO good.

Both the rooftop terrace with pool and bar, the spa and the breakfast were in a special class.

We had tapas and drinks  at the roof top bar which was really tasty and well priced.

A lot of places to eat around such as bar Loba.

And in the bathroom needs to wait 5min+ for hot water.

Others have remarked on the (lack of) hot water in the bedrooms.

but if you are a bit late they'll be gone and not refilled.As well as coffee but there are plenty teas and hot water.

What used to be a variable tropical shower has a clogged head so the water is more like a wet weekend.

However, the walls are extremely thin that you can hear people walking past at all hours of the day, you can hear water flowing through pipes when other rooms flush the toilet/ shower, and you can hear people in the lifts as they are approaching your floor.

though again the water was cold and not pleasant.

Additionally water was only provided in room for 1 person, the shower system needed a card to explain its operation, rooms were not cleaned automatically & the lift system is complete chaos for residents.

Besides the noise, there’s no hot water - just briefly in the morning, then it’s off all day and into the night.

but no way were we going to get hot water for a shower despite following the instructions .

The only problem was on the last morning there was a lack of hot water.

Let the shower run in the morning for AT LEAST five minutes, probably longer, to get properly hot water,

Hot water is a problem, and that just wasn’t my experience alone, even allowing for the curious plumbing fittings.

The only issues we had was that it took several minutes for the hot water to run , reception staff told us that it was recent issue that was being fixed and the failure to access the BBC news channel on the TV .

The Cons:  The bathroom has a rainfall shower that is too close to the curved-up end of the bathtub; hot water can take more than five minutes to appear even will all taps open; the bathroom heater gets hot enough to cause burns and is not protected; no hair conditioner; poor quality bathroom amenities; the room lighting is clever

RIGHT near to arc de triomf and and centre 10 minutes walk to rambla and 15 minutes to the beach.

The hotel location is fantastic as it's right next to Arc De Triomf (you can see the top of it from the roof top area) and close to Ciutadella Park.

Even if you don't want to walk wherever you wish to visit, the Arc de Triomf metro station is literally just across the road.

Wonderful hotel, great location in Born close to Arc de Triomf with easy access to public transport.

the facilities were wonderful and walking distance to the arc de triomf and very well connected by bus and metro.

Just outside the Gothic Quarter, right next to the Arc de Triomf and park.

Excellent location: metro is behind the corner at the Arc de Triomf, there are plenty of tapas bars within walking distance, very nice neighborhood.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, it's right next to the Arc de Triomf and the Ciutadella Park which is super convenient.

The hotel is 500 m away from The Arc De Triomf and is near to the centre.

Location is fantastic, just next to arc de triomf, rooms are clean and well maintained, and the view from the lounge is very pretty.

The hotel is seconds from the Arc de Triomf, and has great links to the city centre.

Once outside the hotel the Arc de Triomf was just 300 meters away.

It was in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, right by the Arc de Triomf, so it was really easy to find.

The location was excellent, right next to the Arc de Triomf and near lots of great restaurants!

but even for a tourist visit it couldn't be any better as the hotel is next to Arc de Triomf and near to the historical city center.

Hotel Rec, very near Arc de Triomf (L1 Metro as well as the lovely Parc de la Ciutadella) really has a perfect location--not in one of the most heavily touristed area  with all their bustle

The location is wonderful - next door to the Arc de Triomf on the edge of El Born with loads of bars, restaurants and little shops nearby.

The location is great - close to lots of restaurants and shops - and easy to navigate back to in a taxi as it’s so close to the Arc de Triomf landmark.

Location wise it is only a few minutes walk from the metro and you can get the airport bus (I think it's called aerobus) to catalunya and then get the metro to Arc de Triomf.

We frequented the rooftop terrace bar every evening which had great views.

The Hotel REC is perfectly located and an easy walk to many of Barcelona's incredible sites and tapas bars.

The rooftop bar had a lovely view of the city and reasonable prices for food and drink.

They were very nice and attentive from the reception to the bar staff.

The establishment boasts an expansive rooftop bar, providing a good atmosphere.

The hotel is great and we really loved the rooftop pool and bar area.

On top of it, the rooftop bar and food place was amazing.

We stayed here 4 nights and we were so happy with the service both from staff in reception and the snack bar.

Roof bar closes very early (10:30PM) which reduces your time there.

The staff were very attentive, shout out to Sanjeev the bar tender for the cocktail class in the lounge.

Excellent location, close to metro and public transports of other sorts, close to a lot of restaurants, a nice top floor bar with a great view (even if the pool is quite small).

The air conditioning was excellent and most importantly, quiet (our visit was in July so very hot) 
The roof top bar was a pleasant place to spend some time at the end of the evening.

The rooftop bar and pool was beautiful, and was a nice little area to chill out at times.

The water in the coffee maker tasted slightly funky, so it’s best to stick with juice.

but I don’t expect to have to pay for a cup of tea or coffee to have in my room.

but I have to issues; the did not remove the garbage from the room or clean/ replace the cups.

There were really no amenities besides the kettle and tea bags and a hair dryer, some were available free upon request (eg lotion).

During the day you can have breakfast, a cup of coffee.

The rooms are a bit on the small side, which would be ok except that there’s no privacy then for the sliding door shower/sink scenario and no real privacy for using the toilet either which can be interesting!

Me and my bf arrived here yesterday and we just found our room to be a little bit small for us and it didn’t have much closet room and I have a lot of clothes.

The only minus is that the rooms are quite tiny and they do not wash the floors, that was a minus for me since I stayed for 10 days.

but I found the rooms to be tiny and uncomfortable and dark.

Bottled water was only provided on the first day and was an extra charge if taken from the mini bar - it would have been great to have bottled water provided daily.

Rooftop pool and bar was amazing - great place to chill after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was good, only small criticism would be to cover the all the pastries, and the coffee from the machine wasn't great (but I got round that by using the Nescafe sachets with hot water!)

We enjoyed a few drinks on the terrace each night - the bar staff were all very friendly.

It was convenient for the concert at the Olympic stadium and close to bars and restaurants.

The large terrace with pool and bar on the rooftop are great.

On the roof floor is a pool with a view of Plaza España and a bar that opens on lovely days.

Precisely because it’s located near restaurants and bars, we hear so much on the streets from our hotel room.

There's also a full bar on the roof so you can have a relaxing resort-like retreat in the heart of a bustling city.

but for general bar prices in Barcelona, the pricing is good.

The rooftop bar and terrace was particularly excellent.

Bar staff were friendly and drinks and bar food were all excellent.

Location is perfect 15 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from the beach and walking distance to a large shopping center and many bars restaurants.

The only downside is that it’s on a very busy road so quite noisy at night time.

Our room was on the 7th floor and overlooked the roundabout, which was quite noisy

The location is noisy, traffic and dustman in the early hours.

but the surrounds aren't, so the noise still comes in.

As it turned out, this worked to our advantage because the garden view room was extremely quiet at night whereas the city view room would likely have been somewhat noisy.

Only downside - no English speaking tv channels and i do like to have some for background noise.

Busy area - light sleepers may need earplugs to block out the early morning street cleaning noise -

On the street side of the hotel, there can be some noise from traffic, while the back side is very quiet.

A lot of road works going on all over Barcelona when we travelled and although we where on the 6th floor it was very noisy from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm even on the Sunday so sleep was poor

No bar or hall area, a bit noisy for rooms above the street.

One minor problem is that when metro passes through, you can feel the vibration

Traffic noise isn’t as bad as people make out.

but the second room, though on the 6th floor, was just as noisy.

If you want a quiet room, choose one that does not look out over the Gran Via.

The only let down was the noise from outside - I get the location

Sometimes we could hear the noise of the underground passing under the hotel.

There is a LOT of noise from the metro and the road, as well as from the hall and elevator.

The only down side was my room was near the road so I could hear the traffic at night,

Our room was OK, the safe was shocking a hole in the wall and advice on leaving valuables in reception is not what you want to hear the moment you arrive, and the curtain across a rail as a make shift wardrobe needs to be improved.

but modern, with a few weird quirks to figure out for lights and shower (the shower is transparent but there is switch by the sink to close the blinds and maintain your dignity)!

The room was great and it didn't take too long to figure out the remote lights and blinds.

but either at the bed or at then entrance to the room and to close the blinds between the batch and living are you need to find buttons above the sink
BREAKFAST - good selection of fruits, cereals, breads, pastries and a few hot items.

but cosy with a HUGE comfy bed - the bathroom did have a window with a blind that we couldn't figure out but it faced out to the side of the room so wasnt a big deal.
