but end up, the tv still not fixed and the technician asked me to make do without remote control.

However 
They are helpful to fix all the problems as soon as possible.

I mentioned some clouthing was torn and they took it away and had it fixed in 10mins!

but the light kept flicking so we went for afternoon tea while they sent someone to fix it.

The mechanic came to check and said he will try to fix from the control room, still didn't work until I check out.

The next day we reported this upon returning we where told the problem had been fixed

but the control panel (similar to a tablet) is fixed at the table next to the bed.

No matter how we set it (like at 25 degrees), the thermostat was stuck on 20c.

the room we got smelled so bad we had dreams of dead bodies in the vents,

Old TV which we didn't bother switching on.

Bathroom got no bathtub which even 3-Start hotels do and 5-Star should definetly do, the thermostat is ages old and only present on entrance door and not beside bed.

Pools are freezing cold so you couldn’t use them.

Our aircon leaked on the third night and it took the hotel almost an hour to send someone up to fix it.

On the 2nd night, the air conditioner in our room broke down in the middle of the night and we had to call the reception for help.

Air Con can't be controlled by the guest, either very cold or very hot. 2.

On the negatives the room and bathrooms were not cleaned properly and there was a bad smell coming from the vents.

Air conditioning in Sports Bar was arctic - sweatshirt required even in the middle of the day.

But the air con abit too noisy and unable to control the temperature as too cold and air con leaking

4) TV channels and movies were sufficient
5) Should allow aircon to be adjusted as it gets a little cold at night
6) North tower a little inconvenient as need to take 2 different lifts

Engineer came to look at it and ended up with the aircon duct emit a very smelly smell, 

Anyway, a very unpleasant stay.

Every other hotel I've stayed at provides WiFi login instructions, whether it's on the TV's information channel, the desk area in the room, or the key card holder.

The room card sleeve was a recycled old (no problem with that) and it was a rather dirty one (that I cannot accept).

Maybe they charged me for two types of liquors?

They did not charge us for the cot as we had booked a room for four people.

Our iPhone charging cable has to bend to get inserted.

Instead of a 200thb ride in 2 taxis he organised a van and charged us 800thb it seems the porter/concierge desk are just as greedy, corrupt and dishonest as Elon the manager.

The charging point is inconvenience as only can be used one at a time.

The room lock was not working and could be opened without a  card key.

I assumed that it would be applied to any charges made, it was not.

No hot water in the bathroom, rooms are dirty, service is horrible and yet I was charged over$200 per night.

No chek Out charged 300 bt for a lost room card.

but only us & no greetings then to a front office whom asked us to give us a cash deposit instead and do not accept credit card, then theres a restaurant thats lack of service, to housekeeping that only did top up the amenities and make up the bed.

With 2 adults and a child each having 3 or more of the above - you have to kill the light to charge your phone or prioritize which toothbrush has the most power.

I have wrote in to check on the amount charge after departure - no reply too.

but taxi has always over charged when we returned to hotel .

Was requested for 2000BHT as a deposit for 2 nights and as per any other hotel i made this with my credit card assuming that they will only block the card and release upon check out.

However there is a lack of charging outlet in the room.

Not sure why they deactivated our card when it is not our check out time.

The older building had a terrible smell the second you got out of the elevator and even in the room.

Our room was in the north tower which meant taking 2 lifts and waiting ages for it.

The Lifts are obviously FULL , Cant Imagine the Breakfast.

- For 30min on the second day of my stay the electricity was out and only emergency lighting was on with only 1 lift working.

Slightly inconvenient cos had to take lift up to L11, walk, change lift to L21.

I never had more than a minute or so wait at elevators

Always pushing people to get into lifts when guests haven't even gotten out of the lifts.

They would not lift calls when we keep calling them from 14th  floor or so in my case.

We had to take an elevator to one of the floors, then walk to the other side of the hotel block and take another elevator to the room.

The lifts -albeit six of them- are strangely slow.

This hotel is always full of people therefore elevator is always slow - location is ok - next to highway - takes forever to wait for taxis as there are so many guests lining up.

A bit troublesome as needed to change lift at 11 floor of main tower to get to north tower.

one thing is that we are in the north tower, we find in a little troublesome to change the lift at the 11th floor instead of direct lift to north tower.

North tower must change lifts from 11th floor & walking 100m away another North Tower lifts to 37th floor.

The other problem was that many rooms were located in the other building and we had to change lifts and a long way to get in our rooms.

Only inconvenience is if they put you in the next tower, you need to change lifts at the 11th Floor and walk across.

but i am very confusing about how to get to the room because they did not told me that i have to chage elevator to another building .swimming pool and breakfast are quite good.

Very good service, front desk very nice and friendly very helpful, room very clean, the hotel very good location for shopping center, only 5 to 10 minutes walk to airport link, restaurant breakfast very good and staff at restaurant also good service.

Water Temperature:

Like others have mentioned, the showers had inconsistent water temperatures.

The hot water in the shower went from cold to scalding with no in between.

but as others have noted, rooms are in need of some renovation, with showers having irregular water temperature.

This could be avoided if they placed enough water and paper every time instead of having to request.

The temperature of the water was also unpredictable and was discordant with the markings on the tap, so I was never able to get water of a suitable temperature.

Not to mention we were without water for 2hrs on one of the days.

Cons:
The shower drainage seemed partially choked so when we bathed the water pooled and it did cause minor flooding.

It is dirty, no hot water, terrible service and extremely uncomfortable beds.

The room that I stay toilet bowl always choked & shower area water unable to flow out !

This hotel is looking a bit tired , my room could have been doing with a make over , dirty marks on the walls mirrors etc

However the shower water flow is not smooth and always flooded after a bath.

NO notice remind the tap water can't be drank, as a result my son got sick for few days. 3.

She insisted that they don’t serve water and brushed me off.

The rate of the water flow from the bath tub is extremely slow that it took 2 hours to fill up the bath tub.

but there is a leak at the shower glass and water will be leaking out to the floor making it slippery.

but surprised me that water verry cold, no hot water and drain is chocked , water flood anywhere on bathroom,  when i was complained that there are no hot water and drain is chocked, engineer maintenance came to my room verry fast , problem solve but half hour only, after that i never feels 5 star, take a bath with cold water and water flood anywhere, really nightmare to stay this hotel , i will never recomendation to anyone to stay this hotel, an budget hotel act like 5 star or 5 star act like budget hotel ? My friends room ( not my room ) , feels same, no hot water and too many mosquito ( still thingking 5 star ?? )

though it was a non-smoking room, there was an ash tray in the room itself.

The only set-back was my room aircon had mould and was blowing out an awful smell.

So we either had to wait 7 hours for our non-smoking room to be available or take the smoking room.

Although it is a non-smoking hotel, when I checked in I was given a room that definitely smelled of cigarette smoke, so I requested another room.

I guessed the cooking by previous guests might be the source of unpleasant odor in such a confined area.

This time the bathroom had a smell like mouldy smell.

I could not smell it once I reached the front desk, may be it was less strong.

NOPE not this time we were attacked by check in staff, had to sign to acknowledge no smoking and the penalty if we did, the penalty if we stayed in the room after mid day, then I had to pay almost a hundred pounds extra for two beds per night.

Minor minus: the shower gel and shampoo in room are almost bland smelling and doesn’t lather at all.

I am sensitive to cigarettes, so I asked for another room.

The bathroom have black mold around shower door, walls, floor and bidet also dirty.

Only downside was corridors a little bit musty due to aircon and humidity.

The service at breakfast is extremely slow.

They were completely rude with zero service mind, the waiter at River Barge even gave us a talk-to-my-hand gesture when we tried to ask him to take our order
- the food was served unacceptably slow and cold
- only 2 complimentary drinking water, you will need to pay for it if you order water from the room service
- we did complain about all this upon checking out and they did literally nothing except apologising.

The only thing I have a problem with was slow running water in the shower.

They are really welcoming me and my old parents who are quite slow.

I had dim sum lunch which the food was very slow.

I did the quickest risk assessment I have ever done (time was marching on and we had a tour booked for the following morning, which meant starting the slow process of getting up very early) asked for various items which would normally be found in any hotel’s housekeeping stores including six non slip shower mats, three to cover the floor of the shower, one to come out and one each for the basin and toilet.

I did call order for set of cutlery and bowl.. it’s take a little bit slow

The hotel operates a shuttle boat which is a diesel engine operated with the smell of diesel during the whole trip.

We changed to an higher floor room to avoid the stink.

Coffee shop cakes are way over priced - twice I visited the cakes were stale and I noticed several other guest complaining.

But if you smoke in the wrong place outside, someone will come right away.

However, we would like to suggest improving parking areas, it has unpleasant musty smell.

My only frown came from the smell in the room.

They do have a serious sewer smell throughout the floor we were put on and most lower floors.

Unfortunately a guest on our floor decided it was ok to smoke in their non smoking room with their door open.

We are all staying in amazing suites on different floors, am on the 14th floor,the only negative comment I have is that the river smells soooo bad and when you enter the lobby it’s the first thing you smell.

Most important to us were the sleep quality and non smoking rooms.

I’d like to share the following observations to explain my opinion: Some elements in the room looked a bit dated and used, and some were not very well thought through: I am uploading some photos that show stains and mold in the shower as well as a poorly designed water tap in the bathtub that splashes water against the wall instead of into the tub.

The only set back is the Indian Vegetarian Food, the food taste stale and not freshly cooked and has no taste.

The only drawback was that we could smell smoke in our bedroom.

but was shown another suite at a lower floor but has recently renovated, newer look but could smell paint in the room, never good to sleep with paint smell especially with kids and elderly around.

If the smell, carpet and dripping were under control it would be 5 star from me.

but still ok as hotel is just next to the station, need to walk stairs back to street level with no lifts or elevator.

Only small hassle was having to switch lifts from ground floor to rooms.

I saw him standby by the elevator all the time, so I didn't have to worry if I needed help and nobody around.
