Otherwise, I loved the boat transfers, always so punctual.

The resort provided excellent facilities, beautiful swimming pool and regular shuttle boat service to BTS Taksin Station and Iconsiam.

We booked a meal on the river boat and again on point from the moment you stepped on board.

Used the great, regular free boat service often to get into the city.

This hotel is only a short boat ride away from public transportation that can take you to all the sightseeing and business places in Bangkok.

The hotel's own boat allows for a quick transfer between the city and the hotel, great!

Anantara resort have shuttle boat to ICONSIAM directly so It was very convenient.

The complimentary boat shuttle service was amazing to icon Siam & to the train station and made it very easy to explore the city.

Was great to see the hidden side of Bangkok and learn local customs  and history whilst sailing in a long tail boat.

From the hotel there is a free shuttle boat service every 30 mins to Sathorn pier, which helps you get to the centre,

A regular shuttle boat to the sky train and centre is a peaceful trip, and a great boon.

They provide shuttle boat so you can go iconsiam for the shopping.

It was nice to be able to use the shuttle boat often.

The food is fantastic in all spots and especially the breakfast buffet is the best we ever had.

The food throughout the hotel is great, we had lunch by the pool, room service and the breakfast is truly a feast.

the other things are it has an amazing breakfast buffet and nice swimming pool.

While the menu offered a variety of options, the freshness and overall quality of the ingredients fell short of expectations.

In regards to the food provision, we had excellent breakfast included and we also had a poolside meal and dinner at the longtail bar.

The food served at the buffet is of excellent quality.

Bedrooms weren’t cleaned until the end of the afternoon, balcony chairs not cleaned of bird muck, access impossible for our taxi due to a conference with security, weren’t informed we could have a picnic breakfast when we booked an early tour through the hotel, coffee isn’t fresh at breakfast.

I just like everything there, room, garden, breakfast, pool, services. Last november they upgraded us from "normal" room to a "view on the river room."

Breakfast was amazing and lots of variety.

All staff members always had a smile on their face and in particular we would like to thank Khun Sasithorn (Complex RSVN Manager), Chettha (Chief Concierge), Nookie & Mu (GHA at Front Desk) and Mint (Hostess at The Market Breakfast).

Best breakfast ive ever had and really stunning array of food in the evenings, with live music and/or Thai dancing.

Although it is a large hotel it has a friendly holiday vibe (ie not too many businessmen in suits drinking expensive wine) with a great pool area, friendly staff, and an amazing breakfast buffet

Guest room and morning buffet is also great i love bangkok and Anantara makes me for great exprience!

Without a doubt though, we would never ever again personally stay at this or any other Anantara resort, based on our own extremely poor experience.

Hotels of this ranking have no place owning a mattress of such poor quality, I've stayed in more comfortable hostels.

Only downside, poor Traders Vic meal, expensive and poor quality.

but the wifi needs improving and the TV has a poor reception.

We booked a 90 minute couples massage and the quality was really quite poor, and certainly the worst we experienced this trip out of 5 Asian hotels.

The room services are very poor, the cleaning was very bad, as the dirty food plate was not cleaned, and there was no coffee or welcome fruit the next day, because I am a member, and there was no bathrobe, and there was no anti-mosquito medicine for the device, and we were contacted several times in the afternoon, and we were only served at At the end of the night, after several attempts, I was not given an upgrade to my room, and the view was very bad.

There are no smoothies and the juices are poor quality.

I'm so upset by this poor customer service, I chose this hotel because the reviews were so good and now I'm so disappointed.

however I found the lighting to be very poor ( no full lights) and would have expected a slightly larger bathroom with double sink and a separate shower, rather than one over the bath in a hotel if this quality.

There was a rather beautiful heavy downpour of rain outside so we decided to have a pre-dinner cocktail at The Elephant Bar, unfortunately the quality of the drinks here was also very poor and the alcohol watered down so you ended up paying close to £9 for ice water with a hint of flavour.

A restaurant meal at the hotel usually ends up a very expensive exercise for some pretty average food and often very poor service.

The long bar is really really poor and needs a massive upgrade overhaul.

.. English language poor except in club  best described as a holiday venue for Asian tourists .. pool noise substantial .

but with a below average to poor command of English, to the point of being incomprehensible.

Here are the negatives apart from the above mentioned poor customer service:

We asked for access to the lounge as a sign of good will they said no and gave us a voucher each for a cocktail.

I missed the opportunity to dine here because I didn’t have much days in Bangkok.

The food is as fantastic - especially with the cheese spread!

I love Hot and Spicy which is very interesting.

Food in the restaurant was spot on, the executive area and sundown drinks are a must do.

Rooms are nice and the whole facility of the hotel is fantastic, a lot of green and boutique hotel style furniture in the whole hotel area.

but just delivered to my room in the evening.

And, our riverside view rooms were top notch.

Despite the aging rooms and culinary shortcomings, the staff's service remained a highlight of my stay.

The rooms are beautiful and excellently maintained.

However many booking sites are quoting prices of over 800 €/day for the cheapest room - clearly a rip off either by the hotel of the booking site.

The staff is very friendly and courteous, and we would like to thank particularly Jay from the reception team as he managed to satisfy our rooms requirements in the best way giving us un upgrade to the Anantara Riverfront suite.

The pool had a comfortable temperature though, hence the 2 points)
Housekeeping: 1/10 (As a single example, after housekeeping had serviced our room the first day, they had forgotten to replenish: coffee, tea, soap, toilet paper and water. i.e.

out kids loved the pool, we loved the room and also the fitness studio and the sauna very much.

Slightly out of the main centre this hotel offers great views, lush gardens, large comfortable rooms and an outstandingbreakfast.

Like last year, we spent also this year a couple of days over New Years Eve in this amazing spot - great service and spot for reasonable money.

Services from Pookie,Paris, Gift n Cream, they were cream de la cream in their presentation n services.

Was part of the wedding team and had a great expereince with the services provided overall.

Well…if you really wish to stay, and experience, a proper and we could call ‘classic’ 5***** I think you have found it! I have been in several 5***** hotels in Asia, and in Bangkok,

It is the only hotel were I experienced personal assistant upon checking in.

Extraordinary experience and a place I luxuriate in whilst having great experiences visiting so much done, with more to do.

Upon arrival from The Netherlands to visit Thai family and to play golf I entered an oasis of warmth and authentic serenity.

but it felt more like authentic Thai to us.

I have had many massages in my life, and several Thai massages.

There is a very good on site spa open until 10pm which is perfect for tired mums (at hotel, not Thai, spar prices, 2500-6000bht per treatment).

I’d strongly recommend eating at the Riverside Terrace buffet at least once - the thai dance show was great and the food was even better.

The hotel is really wonderful and full of great and stylish Thai details.

Lushly landscaped and decorated grounds, a great pool, and a restaurant/patio area where excellent Thai and international dishes are served.

The small mall right outside the front door has a number of good value and good quality eateries, we particularly liked Bangkok Bold cheap and good Thai food.

Thanks to the restaurant staff for advising us with the Thai dishes and other culinary recommendations.

We tried Yoga and Muay Thai - a fun activity.

but not excellent, buffet food for breakfast and dinner also have a la carte, good location next to river, rooms good size, breakfast good choice,  saw other hotels that are better e.g anartara , near market and is a boat to get sky train, pool smells a bit drainy but that’s the  river , it’s very polluted but that’s not hotels fault , staff helpful

You can even get to IconSiam with the hotel boat shuttle.

There is a free boat shuttle to Sathorn Pier every 30 minutes, from 6.30 in the morning (from 9.00 on weekends) until 21.30, so it is very easy to connect with both Chao Phraya service boats and the metro station (Saphan Taksin).

Great location on the river with boats taking you to to main terminal every 30 minutes.

Having a boat service is quite helpful for tourists as we can plan our sightseeing at the city and temples

A complimentary ride on the hotel boat or a quick walks gets you to the Sky Train in 15 minutes from which the whole of Bangkok can be accessed.

Everything is good such as shuttle boat system and room square and pool and gym 

The staffs are very nice also and there is free shuttle boat provided by the hotel every 30min going to Sathorn pier (near BTS Saphan Taksin station) and vice versa.

For us the location was perfect and the hotel provides a free shuttle boat to Sathorn pier which makes it easy to get around.

They provide boat to Saphan taksin LRT and to  Icon Siam.

The free boat to the ferry port was also very convenient.

The hotel is at the river front, you can actually go to Icon Siam via the hotel boat shuttle.

It was super helpful to have the shuttle boat to Sathorn pier which made getting around the city a lot easier.

They give us free sutle boat and free swimming pool.

The lobby staff were friendly, and the route to travel by boat was so comfortable.

We are so impressed with the quality and views of the rooms, the excellent maid service,  breakfast buffet and the helpful and polite staff throughout the hotel.

Breakfast is super good, with a large variety of foods (Thai, Indian, Chinese, Continental) with anything you might desire to start the day.

Food was lovely and breakfasts was delicious with so many options.

Bf buffet at River barge restaurant is quite impressive with a lot of varieties ranging from Asian to American.

Staff are warm and welcoming; the rooms are huge and immaculate - our river view this time was breathtaking; breakfast on the river side feels like a treat each morning; the pool deck is large with plenty of loungers and great drinks service; fitness centre is pretty good and the 24 hour access to gym and sauna was a help with the jet-lag!

This is luxury a hotel right next to Chao Phraya River.

We chose a Grand Suite Riverview that could sit in a balcony to savor the beautiful scenic Chao Phraya River in a panoramic view, take a deep breath, and enjoy the fresh air .

The best thing of this very modern and well equipped hotel was for sure the stunning view from my room over Chao Phraya river and skyscrapers around, both at night and in the day (you must choose a River View room).

I wanted to stay in a hotel from where we could see the Chao Phraya river and this is something I liked instantly upon browsing.

Location : a serene location on the Chao Phraya river with a complementary shuttle boat every 10 minutes to the nearest BTS sky train meant you were protected from Bangkok's chaotic traffic and can use the BTS or the public river ferry's to reach ALL the important landmarks at Bangkok, be it the sights or the shopping malls.

Then I discovered that for the same or even lower price, I could stay in a beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff, a great breakfast buffet, a large and comfortable room with a small kitchen, a beautiful swimming pool, and a nice and convenient location on the Chao Phraya River with easy access to the BTS Sky Train via their own shuttle boat.

The rate was reasonable for a very large and comfortable suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 balconies overlooking the Chao Phraya River, a living room and a full kitchen which was nice to have to make tea in the evening.

All in all, an excellent hotel in a beautiful location right on the Chao Phraya River.

Very good connection to anywhere you need to go in Bangkok, with handy free shuttle boat to the Saphan Taksin pier on Chao Phraya river, from where you can go more or less anywhere.

The hotel is located next to the Chao Phraya river away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bangkok.

We had beautiful views of the Chao Phraya river from our rooms, including a balcony that directly overlooked it.

This place is nearest from chao phraya river.

We let go of Hilton because of the traffic jam issue from the skytrain extension construction.

I asked for a room to the left of the building (as you look towards the river) to avoid overseeing the construction.

Our room was unfortunately on the side where there is construction on-going

Below floor 15 on that side you would be looking at a blank wall of the building under construction.

My only issue would be the noise level due to neighboring construction.

It was also a shame that there was nothing on the website warning us that the hotel is next to a huge construction site which was very noisy.
