The first room I was in did not have temperature control…they offered a heater.

Finally, the air conditioner worked, there were no ants,

Only complain is regarding the air conditioning that was not operating properly.

There had been some leakage from the A/C at one time and the wood surrounding the A/C was warped.

As others have mentioned, you cannot adjust the A/C temperature,

The air-condition is controlled centrally - no way to adjust the room temperature individually.

There were some issues with the rooms, you can't regulate the air conditioning so if the hotel thinks it's "cold" (25°C/75°F) they'll turn on the heater, the furniture could also be better.

but the bathroom has no natural ventilation.

You can't ask for a better location - right on the city's main beach plaza, which is a hub of activity into the evening -- which is why some may complain about the noise.

That night I slept with the window wide open to the street noise and the bathroom door closed.

I stayed on a weekend, so it did get somewhat loud (but not during “quiet hours”) and they could use about two more elevators,

Could hear the waves early in the morning.

I had an ocean-side room, and there's nothing like sleeping with the windows open and hearing the surf.

However the walls seem to be very thin and were constantly being woken up by fairly noisy neighbours.

The hotel is noisy, you can hear the parties on the beach all night, you hear the noise from upstairs, downstairs, neighbors, outside door.

but that situation almost wreck the weekend; 2) The beds, furniture and all room decoration are very cheap and  definitely not in accordance with the prices they charge, so with look for a comfortable stay proportional with the prices charges look for someplace else; 3) Avoid rooms that face the back of the Hotel, because we were at the ninth floor and still faced noise problems coming from the bars located at the streets on the back.

You hear everything from lateral and overhead neighbors.

Also, at check-in, the receptionist wanted to charge me more than the amount in my reservation, which I found disturbing considering the fact that he had located my reservation in the system.

The hotel room is very noisy: whenever one of your room-neighbours (over you, under you, or aside you) uses the shower or toilet - you think it´s your own.

though there we could hear people and music from the streets, I think in regular time the room could be silent enough.

But then the ratio between the quality of the hotel and it services it's absolutely far from what you pay.

but the service is great with waiters going out of their way to please patrons.

The restaurant and bar had great service, they always did their best to satisfy the guest.

There are several transfer services that will take you to Blumenau.

My suggestion is to provide a shuttle service to the Navegantes airport and a concierge service to help with chairs and umbrellas on the beach.

The second room is OK. Other thing…my little girl went to the reception asking for a spoon of chocolate for her night milk … the answer was NO … Only on the breakfast … she was on shock!!

so we called the reception again and told them about the new problem with the new room.

The hotel is furnished in the classical Ibis standard witch is very comfortable for the price payed, I've been to 4 during my last trip an I can find every thing with closed eyes, witch is kind of cute.

Starting from checking-in (we checked in with Ricardo) and all during our stay, we were made to feel part of a family atmosphere - it is easy to feel this way at Pousada Estaleiro Village because the whole staff is welcoming, friendly, and super-helpful.

The pousada is charming, with friendly staff and very green.

though the hotel wasn't on high season, the service was very good and the staff was very friendly.

When I arrived I was greeted by friendly staff who speak good English (helpful for me as my Portuguese is poor unfortunately) and a colourful Toucan who flew in and landed on a tree.

The beachfront is kept clean by the staff, making the golden sand and soothing waves all the more enticing.

Having stayed at numerous Hilton Garden Inns over the past twelve years, a week at HGI Itajai has been the absolute best experience of all: Friendly and attentive staff throughout, outstanding breakfast buffet, wonderfully clean environment.

Upon leaving, I requested the consumption invoice in the name of my company and the promise was that the invoice would be delivered within 2 days.

Customer service needs improvement:  our safe did not work and it did not get fixed despite our request; I asked reception for help with a taxi and was told to get an Uber; I asked for a receipt when I checked out and was told they could not print one and one would be emailed.

Overall, my stay was marred by indifferent service and uninspiring amenities.

I am now actively pursuing resolution through this second provided number, adding to the ongoing challenges in resolving my concerns.

Every employee I encountered was warm and cordial.

The location is good, the bathrooms have been renovated which is a big plus,the size of the rooms is good  and the service is friendly and good, so is the breakfast.

They have free valletparking and I especially found the front desk staff to be very helpfull, skilled and efficient.

The Hostel is super clean, breakfast also good.

I was the only native English speaker there and there was someone else who also spoke English so could translate portugese :-) staff were all really lovely, very friendly and welcoming especially Carlos!
