Nice place near downton and not so far from the beach, people that works there were so friendly.

The staff was friendly and I can't say about the internet as I used my cellphone's internet.

Our experience: 9:30 - sunday morning there was no more fruit salad because there was not people available in the kitchen to fix it.

The toaster to make snack, was broken and rusted, dirty.

There is no microwave in the room, they charge for breakfast R$ 15 and for parking the car R$ 15.

This is a central Hotel with good service at the reception.

Even at the reception they had problems to find it on my PC.

The hotel is furnished in the classical Ibis standard witch is very comfortable for the price payed, I've been to 4 during my last trip an I can find every thing with closed eyes, witch is kind of cute.

At the reception, people should all be able to speak English.

Friendly people and price quite good out of the season.

If you are a smoker like me, DO NOT CLOSE the door totaly, beacuse it locks and you cannot open it, you need to call the reception to enter your room and open it.

However, from its opening (6 years ago) to now, the staff turned out from pleasent/kind to rude/careless.

The owners watch the staff closely, so the service is very good and the price is fair.

Other then soap and lotion and shampoo there are no other amenities to speak of in the room.

The only negative, was the internet worked best in the bathroom, small hinderance,

The rooms were good average - not much space to put or hang stuff if traveling for a fair while, and slightly dated bathrooms - on the plus side aircon, balcony, small fridge.

Overall the furnishings and interior a little run down.

Two of the front office staff speaks English and were (also the other staff) always very friendly and helpful.

but had to park on the road outside each night, but this was not a problem.

but what makes it really special is the staff.

While Marimbaia meets all my requirements for a safe, clean hotel, the entire staff is outstanding.

Osmar wouldn't hear of me going out without a bite so he called the kitchen and had  hot coffee and fresh banana cake delivered to the patio outside of reception.

Fair Hotel , in front of the beach not so many restaurants near by , noisy over the weekends, staff is very nice !

Although most of the staff spoke no English we got by and they were all more than helpful.

I have been staying there with our sailing team during the Volvo Ocean Race for about three weeks.

Upon leaving, I requested the consumption invoice in the name of my company and the promise was that the invoice would be delivered within 2 days.

This is run by a different Company and they will not honor any HHONORS points.

Having stayed at numerous Hilton Garden Inns over the past twelve years, a week at HGI Itajai has been the absolute best experience of all: Friendly and attentive staff throughout, outstanding breakfast buffet, wonderfully clean environment.

Her you might find a very clean environment, friendly staff, great breakfast and also a comfortable room.

This is not acceptable under the consumer protection code in my country.

The rooms are good value for the price paid and the hotel facilities are better than you may expect for the price charged and for the chain - there is a full gym and pool with bar.

Customer service needs improvement:  our safe did not work and it did not get fixed despite our request; I asked reception for help with a taxi and was told to get an Uber; I asked for a receipt when I checked out and was told they could not print one and one would be emailed.

I am now actively pursuing resolution through this second provided number, adding to the ongoing challenges in resolving my concerns.

Every employee I encountered was warm and cordial.

Great and strong hotel team who is always ready to help.

Service was cordial and efficient (though breakfast staff should be more attentive, informing about alternative egg dishes, for example).

Victor from reservation is definitively one of the best professionals I have seen in hotel business.

I found the staff to be polite and welcoming.

Breakfast it's served from 6:30 on the restaurant in the lobby.

Restaurant could be opened for lunch as well. Recommended!

The staff kindly put up with my limited Portuguese and assisted me in English.

The staff is incredibly nice and eager to accommodate every need, promptly.

Everything is new and spotless with very helpful staff from reception through to housekeeping.

Personel is attentive and willing to help.always try to surprise me!!

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful,

It happened on Jan 9, 2020, with a prepaid reservation.

However, I had payed for a suite and had no refunds.

However, the rest of the room was musty, cramped, and had bugs.

It did not smell good and the air conditioning badly covered the bedroom itself.

Soon after another guest checked in, and the reception claimed he was a guest "of a company".

Hotel director Antonio is always ready to address any need you have in the hotel and region.

Breakfast is complete with several kind of fruits, cakes and breads

The staff is composed by  very gentle people.

I paid for a suite and was given a very old one.

very good breakfast with 3 fruit, yogurt, various types of sweet cakes (Cuca) and very friendly attendant.

You can see from the photos displayed at the concierge.

This story is told in the Hall of the Hotel by the documents and photos.

So do not expect a modern and luxurious hotel.

Incidentally, two French families were staying and were well connected with the employees who try to give a family atmosphere in the small hotel.
