The first room I was in did not have temperature control…they offered a heater.

Finally, the air conditioner worked, there were no ants,

Only complain is regarding the air conditioning that was not operating properly.

There had been some leakage from the A/C at one time and the wood surrounding the A/C was warped.

As others have mentioned, you cannot adjust the A/C temperature,

The air-condition is controlled centrally - no way to adjust the room temperature individually.

There were some issues with the rooms, you can't regulate the air conditioning so if the hotel thinks it's "cold" (25°C/75°F) they'll turn on the heater, the furniture could also be better.

but the bathroom has no natural ventilation.

The breakfast is wonderful with a wide selection of foods.

Rooms are ok. Tasty breakfast, with fresh pao de queijo and really well organized, even it was really crowded in the morning, all was working in the breakfast.

You can't ask for a better location - right on the city's main beach plaza, which is a hub of activity into the evening -- which is why some may complain about the noise.

That night I slept with the window wide open to the street noise and the bathroom door closed.

I stayed on a weekend, so it did get somewhat loud (but not during “quiet hours”) and they could use about two more elevators,

Could hear the waves early in the morning.

I had an ocean-side room, and there's nothing like sleeping with the windows open and hearing the surf.

However the walls seem to be very thin and were constantly being woken up by fairly noisy neighbours.

The hotel is noisy, you can hear the parties on the beach all night, you hear the noise from upstairs, downstairs, neighbors, outside door.

but that situation almost wreck the weekend; 2) The beds, furniture and all room decoration are very cheap and  definitely not in accordance with the prices they charge, so with look for a comfortable stay proportional with the prices charges look for someplace else; 3) Avoid rooms that face the back of the Hotel, because we were at the ninth floor and still faced noise problems coming from the bars located at the streets on the back.

You hear everything from lateral and overhead neighbors.

Also, at check-in, the receptionist wanted to charge me more than the amount in my reservation, which I found disturbing considering the fact that he had located my reservation in the system.

The hotel room is very noisy: whenever one of your room-neighbours (over you, under you, or aside you) uses the shower or toilet - you think it´s your own.

though there we could hear people and music from the streets, I think in regular time the room could be silent enough.

The restaurant and bar had great service, they always did their best to satisfy the guest.

There are several transfer services that will take you to Blumenau.

My suggestion is to provide a shuttle service to the Navegantes airport and a concierge service to help with chairs and umbrellas on the beach.

Rooms are beautifully decorated with everything you need inside from flip flop and dressing gowns to iPod nano, Bose speaker for fone and Apple TV!

Restaurant for dinner had an extensive menu and breakfast equally the same.

The rooms were good average - not much space to put or hang stuff if traveling for a fair while, and slightly dated bathrooms - on the plus side aircon, balcony, small fridge.

You are really treated like a family member, they know who you are, they will call you by your name, they will cook for you if there is anything you like and it’s not in the breakfast buffet.

Any conceptual hotel should pay attention to small details, which make the big difference and actually allow it to be self defined as a conceptual hotel, mainly by being perceived as such by the guests.

The waiters should be oriented to tell the guests what is included and what is not.

Parking is charged extra and could have a better price for guests But in general is a very good hotel only a couple blocks from the beach and one block from all kind of shopping stores

however, the wow factor (if any) we encountered didn´t match the price.

The hotel is furnished in the classical Ibis standard witch is very comfortable for the price payed, I've been to 4 during my last trip an I can find every thing with closed eyes, witch is kind of cute.

Cabs from Navegantes airport charge a flat rate of R$72 to drive you to the hotel (or anywhere in Itajai).

Best thing to be said is the price is right.

The cost was relatively cheap and is good for business travelers not expecting the Hilton or Marriott.

The staff were all amazing, they were always looking to help us and Ian front desk, made us feel extremely welcome, the facilities were good, breakfast was nice, room was comfortable and WiFi was good, all was 3 minutes from the beach loads of shops and food places nearby.

Breakfast, must be the best breakfast I ate in a mid range hotel.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best on our journey and it alone makes a stay at the hotel worthwhile.

The receptionist were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were really comfortable and clean, the have a warmed swimming pool and the breakfast was well served and good.

Breakfast was very good with lots of options and the room was large and comfortable.

Service was cordial and efficient (though breakfast staff should be more attentive, informing about alternative egg dishes, for example).

Upon leaving, I requested the consumption invoice in the name of my company and the promise was that the invoice would be delivered within 2 days.

Customer service needs improvement:  our safe did not work and it did not get fixed despite our request; I asked reception for help with a taxi and was told to get an Uber; I asked for a receipt when I checked out and was told they could not print one and one would be emailed.

Overall, my stay was marred by indifferent service and uninspiring amenities.

I’m lactose intolerant and wrote the hotel a few months before my stay, the first day I had breakfast, the manager already knew that i was the one needing special assistance during breakfast.

The breakfast is rich of choices and healthy!

Additionally, the breakfast is varied and delicious (especially the omelette).
