The room was extremely clean, tidy, spacious and had everything I needed.

For us it was a great facility - clean, lovely temperature and long enough to do some useful swimming laps.

The food was also great, they provided a very convenient shuttle service and the cleanliness was superb.

The villas with their own pool are clean and well furnished.

Excellent service, spotlessly clean, and every request is catered for with a smile .

It is also just a 20 minute walk to Double Six beach where we ran several mornings.

Double six beach is at a walk-able distance of 10-15 minutes where you have lots of dining options at the shore.

Despite being in convenient walking distance to Seminyak Road and Double Six beach, the villa offers free transport to any destination in Seminyak.

The nearest beach is Double six beach and the Seminyak market is halfway to the beach.

It takes 15 minutes walk to double six beach or 10 minutes with car or motorcycles to Kuta.

They provided us free transportation within the city multiple times.

Free shuttle transfer to and from the airport was part of the stay and this takes about 20 mins to get there which is great.

Cold drinks were already provided free of charge in the refrigerator along with welcome drinks and cold towels.

A great bonus was the free drop off to anywhere in the local area.

the breakfast was good and delivered at the time you asked, the service was great, they picked up and dropped off to airport for free, and every time we went out they paid for taxi in the area.

The free shuttle to airport is just fantastic!

Nothing was to difficult for the staff & even free transport to anywhere in seminyak was provided.

The free shuttle bus around Seminyak is great, if it wasn't available they would order and pay for a taxi.

They have free drop off to town like Seminyak.

The free breakfast was always on time and delicious.

We booked a 10 night stay from a Scoopon deal which included airport transfer as well as free breakfast every day, and a choice of free lunch or dinner every day.

This was frustrating and didn't set the tone of our stay the way we wanted m. However, this was resolved after we got a private taxi, which the hotel paid for and they offered to give us a free taxi to the airport when we left which was really nice of them.

Staff provide a free shuttle to anywhere in Seminyak.

The villas also provides free transfer service to Seminyak area which very nice as walking out there is very hot , also it's high chance to be ripped off by taxi there.

They offer free transport to surrounding area's.

The free car trip to anywhere within Seminyak is so ideal and saved us worrying about taxi's etc.

The villa offered free bottled water and breakfast-this was a pleasant surpirse.

They providing a shuttle wherever you wanted to go in seminyak free of charge and were always so accommodating for any needs we had.

i also found the staff was rarther crude about my poltical backround i must assume being a tory is not fashionble round these part which leads me to qustion why thier is little food chains around excecpt mcdonalds which i find rarther low for my class.

We had breakfast provided and was tasty and varied

I recommend this place to anyone whoever goes to bali, choice of breakfast or dinner.

nice place for own privacy and the good thing is everything is near from the villa (beach, restaurant, market, rent bike or car .

Also within walking distance to plenty of shops, spas, restaurants and bars.

The breakfasts (and lunches and dinners) were served in the rooms from a quite comprehensive menu and all were enjoyed.

All the breakfasts and other meals we had were great.

Yet cafes and restaurants are in easy reach.

and drove us to our restaurants making life Easy :).

The best place to eat is 2 minutes walk down the lane to The Orchard whic boasts the best fish n chips in Bali and they are correct, great food ans music and open till 12pm.

It was also so quiet, which made it so easy to just relax

Food was great, if we didn't feel like going out to eat we were always happy with the food that was on offer.

Great little coffee shop across the road karma cafe and pizza place round the corner !

They would drop you off at most places locally and provide room service.

Old tired and things are falling apart, broken, not working or mouldy.

Bathroom shower area mouldy tiles everywhere and a lack of ammenities including toilet paper!

However there are very limited choices for breakfast and bathroom smells not pleasant.

Great if we were out at the time, not so great if we weren't because of all the chemicals we then inhaled.

The tiles in the bathrooms were mouldy, there was a bad sewage smell that came through whenever we took a shower or turned on the tap, the towels looked really old and used, and part of the ceiling in the living room actually came down while we were sitting on the sofa.

My bathroom had some foul smell arising from the sink.

-	There was oil smell (left from massages) on the bedsheets.

ALthough there was a slight mishap with the drainage in the bathtroom

And yes, some of the reviews are correct in saying that the toilet gives a weird smell, especially during the first day.

The toilets were probably the biggest put off they had stains an dirt all around, disgusting!

All in all I would say The Jineng was quite good - the only issue we had was the smell from the toilet

Only downpoints were the smell of the drains were apparent in the bathroom.

however still evidence of construction residue on most surfaces outside, inside was spotless in living areas.

There was a dreadful smell from the master suite shower/toilet so we asked to move villas and were told we could move the following day.

We had it on the first day, the bread was stale, the eggs and bacon cold and the fruit bitter.

So the negatives:

- Confirming other reviews; the water, shower area, bath, and toilet smell like a sewer.

Very disapointed the villas are situated of a smelly lane.

The transport arrangements were fantastic - anywhere in the Seminyak area free transport was provided - either the Villa private minibus or a cab was called and paid for by reception.

a town car is provided for transport around the area.

We arrived late in the night and our transport was waiting to escort us to the villa.

Free transport to all nearby locations was excellent. The staff are almost the best feature here - just excellent in every way, nothing was any trouble and our mornings punctuated by "Buggy!"

They have amazing, friendly and helpful staff that helped us throughout our stay, from arranging transport, organising massage and many more.

-They also provide shuttle services to the nearby areas at anytime, even would pay for the taxi for us if they didn't managed to arrange their own transport, really a plus point for us since we did not hire a dedicated fulltime driver throughout our stay.

For local transport there is a free shuttle service to nearby beach and market or one can hire a motorbike for approximately 60000 Indonesian ruppiah.

Included in the price is free mini bar, breakfast, and one way transport into anywhere in Seminyak.

Complimentary drop offs to places were very efficient and if there is no transport available, they will arrange a taxi for you - all paid for!

Staff were fabulous, couldn't do enough to help us, they provide free transport wherever you need to go (provided its within the seminyak/legian area) and when there cars were out & about they paid for our taxi.

I stayed at the villas(# K) for 5 nights.Was picked up from the airport and taken to the villas.The staff were   most welcoming and went out of their way to assist with anything, including transport to local area restaurants FOC.Make your own way back at your cost..
Villas are maintained to a high standard.Welcome drink and fruit basket in the room.Breakfast is ordered the previous night and delivered to the villa at an arranged time.Tea and coffee whilst not in the villas was made available on request.Spacious bedroom, lounge/kitchen area all airconditioned.

The one way transport to nearby places were provided.

The complimentary transport into anywhere in Seminyak was a fantastic feature we used many times.

Our villa and it's pool were gorgeous and clean as was the pool area and swim up bar.

I have to give a special mention to Deksu who always greeted  with a lovely smile and great conversation, to Aris who was working as a barman at the pool bar and finally to Maria and her team in the spa.

The swimming pools were well maintained and the pool bar was well stocked.

On requesting bucket of ice from bar was handed a bill to sign.

All the outdoor facilities are great with the inclusion of multiple daybeds and swim up bar for everyone to enjoy.

Pretty dangerous considering there is a pool bar with glass and guests relaxing.

Great location for shopping, beach restaurants and bars.

but 2 mins from bars restaurants and shops and no more than 5mins from the beach.

At the beach there are many beach bars and hundreds of bean bags to lay on- great place to go at night to listen to live music.

We spent much our time at the pool bar as we loved to have cocktails.

Great spot in Legian, tucked away less than 5 minutes from the main road, close to restaurants and bars.

The 2 bedroom villas are awesome as is the pool with swim up bar as an afternoon escape and cool down after a full day of shopping, spaing and exploring.

Astagina is a beautiful hotel, I loved the grounds and the big pool with swim up bar and cabanas.

The amazing pool in the middle of the resort should be used for midnight swims after the bar in my opinion,

Only 5 minute walk from the beach and location is perfect, there are many good restaurants and bars in the area.

Great location, great facilities, great pool and swim up bar.

But the main gem of the hotel is the main pool and bar and especially the staff.

Main pool area was great with good service and a bar .

The bathroom in our villa did smell a bit musty

but somehow very slippery,  slipped a few times on the way to the bathroom.

Rooms are a decent size, we upgraded to the garden suite which had a bath and a very small “garden” with no space for seats or natural light.

Room and bathroom were on the smaller side

The Villa was in very poor condition, on arrival the towels in bathroom looked more like rags.

I give Astagina only four stars is due to some of the hotel facilities being a little bit faulty such as the shower pipes leaking water in areas it shouldn’t or the shower door not closing

but again a little shabby and the worst thing was the hot water did not come through for 10 minutes in the shower.

Some improvements/repairs need to be made to our 2 bedroom unit: gap in bathroom floor between shower and rest of bathroom looks like it needs a good bleach clean and possibly the shower also, the lounge is so uncomfortable and has a large cigarette burn on it - as it is white it is quite grubby, fan on verandah does not work, the kitchen needs a new tap - ours was rusty, loose and a little grungy.

but the bathroom was old and tired looking.

however dated and bathroom need a good scrub.

Only small negatives are that the pool area has little shade (needs bigger umbrellas), and our shower head sprayed water everywhere and soaked the bathroom floor.

The only reason for 4 stars is that there were ants in the room, the bathroom is pretty outdated and the aircon was super loud.

Our bedsheets had a few stains on them and our aircon started leaking a few days into our stay.

The bathrooms had quite a bit of water damage and the basin in our second room was badly cracked, the linen was old and badly needs updating.

After three days we ran out of toilet paper, they wanted to charge is for that, wanted fresh towels for our shower and they would only give us two

We booked different rooms for 2 nights, and unfortunately the toilets for both rooms were slightly outdated with both showers having poor water pressure and clogged sinks.

Tasty breakfast buffet (included in the cost), convenient location in walking distance to the beach yet set back so it’s a bit quieter, generously sized, spacious rooms, and friendly, attentive staff.

As it was clean, great pool areas and close to the beach.

Excellent location, close to Double six beach and great restaurants and amenities.

The property itself is stunning - beautiful gardens and so peaceful and quiet despite only being a quick walk to anything you need.

If you bring family with children, this place is the answer as the family pool for children is nice with big garden.

The hotels garden's and pools are immaculate.

I do really Like this Hotel, bcs all staff are welcome and polite, good swiming pool and Big Garden, Also the room Clean i stay in this hotel like home and i want to stay again next Holiday.

The gardens at Astagina are well cared for and the staff are so kind and always willing to help.

We can't fault this place,  gardens are gorgeous,  the smaller pool by the beer garden made for a great cool off dip.

Fabulous location, Lovely Staff, beautiful gardens.

You can have your breakfast and coffee in their beautiful greeny garden.

The beer garden at night was very relaxing with decent music.

I would say the highlight of this hotel is the pool area and the pleasant gardens the hotel sits in.

On a positive note the beds were very comfortable, the pool and gardens are lovely ,breakfast and the food in general were very good and the staff are all lovely.

There is a smaller pool ideal for smaller kids near the beer garden.

Great pool with comfy cabanas, excellent music and a swim-up bar, with a second pool for families next to the garden bar.

When we called maintenance, we realized that they have to turn the water off as the toilet and washing sink were leaking when water turned on and could be smelly from the drain.

They let you bring your own drinks and smoke by the pool

Not knowing what this was we accepted the offer to move then found we were actually no better off as it is just 2 single mattresses on the same base with a plank of timber down the middle.

I wouldn't mind them drinking and smoking while sitting at the bar.

Let’s start with mould, that kills people everywhere.

Room: Dirty old bathroom that is literally rotting away with mould.

Rooms are getting a bit dated and could do with an overhaul, (bit of a musty smell

Downside: The shower grout and silicone was filthy and cobwebs were prevalent in many areas.

The bathrooms had mold around the shower and in the villa we were staying in the shower was covered in green slime and mold.

The negative the bathroom, amenity in the room are old and disgusting, I couldn't believe the bathrobe and mat are outdate.

The laundry service was terrible our clothes weren’t washed at all just smelt like fabric softener!

The property generally required maintenance the room air conditioner was never cleaned because of an odor and the

However, the curtains in our room (317) were filthy with fingermarks and stains all over them.
