This has a great fitness centre and food was excellent for an all-inclusive.

Lastly, eventhough  this is an all inclusive resort the workers DEFINITELY be fishing for those tips.

It was my first time in Cancún and at an all inclusive.

This was our first all-inclusive and the experience was a 10 out of 10.

Cons: On top ofl the HIGH all-inclusive fee, you must shell out more $ for prime cabanas or lounge chairs with umbrellas at pool and on beach.

First time traveling internationally, as well as staying at an all inclusive resort.

The weather has been great, the service is top-notch, the food is the best that we have had in any all-inclusive or regular hotel.

The all inclusive is great and includes loads of cocktails and sparkling wine.

It is all inclusive and the main food option is Spices, the large buffet-style restaurant.

This time around my sister and I tried the Chef’s Plate which is a curated 6 course meal and isn’t part of the all-inclusive package.

The food is above average for an all inclusive hotels and the entertainment is the best thing.

Just the best all inclusive resort I have been in decades!!

For breakfast and lunch at Spice ask Abel, Giselle or Jesus - service is amazing and you’re guaranteed to over eat 😎.

pro tip- friday night at the buffet is a seafood extravaganza where lobster is included as well as the best peel and eat shrimp I  have ever had.

But the staff was outstanding, attentive, friendly, they somehow knew my name (and food allergy) each time I went to eat.

In 90 degree weather, you basically eat fast then either jump into the pool or go into the cafe to find AC.

A couples massage, a trip to Isla Mujeres, and recommended great places to eat.

When you eat at the breakfast buffet please ask for Fabian!

Reservation was made at 9, food was delivered at 10 with zero quality so we didn’t eat it.

The buffet "spices" was our favourite place to eat!

Breakfast and lunch are both very good at Punta vista , we did not eat there for dinner.

Punta Vista is a great place to eat breakfast and lunch with an amazing view!

If you get a chance eat at least a breakfast, lunch and dinner at Punta Vista, the ambiance and food makes a really great experience morning, noon and night.

The Asiana restaurant was delicious…seriously better than what we eat at home.

I did eat at the restaurants, which were all very very good.

Which was great because we got to eat and still drink until 5pm and used every second of it hahah great time overall! !

If we happen to eat  a late lunch that day at 4 pm, no problem the restaurants serve dinner until 10:30 p.m. Room service always available 24/7.

We talked baseball and he helped us understand the different ways to properly eat the different locally grown fruits.

I insisted that we should not be charged and reluctantly they 'waived' the additional fee for us.

Which tells me they're probably not getting paid what they deserve.

They don’t provide them anymore and charge $12 USD for a metal straw.

The spa - They were running a promotion to get an 80 minute massage at the price for a 50 minute so I took advantage of it plus they added on Hydrotherapy treatment.

As I explained to him a bunch of people were upset they couldn’t sit in or by the pool unless they paid $80 for a cabana each day (which came with 2 loungers in the pool) As Mr.Rojas explained to me this money grab was put in place by previous management

There is also entertainment every day and night, with a range of shows and classes at no extra cost.

The only downsides of our stay were the terrible sales pitch on check in, super misleading and time wasting. He promised a three minute chat to provide us our welcome package, turned into a 15 minute guilt trip to sign up for a 90 minute sales pitch saying "he wouldn't get paid if we didn't attend."

The premium wine was a tab on the expensive side,

And far too many hidden fees, especially for things which should have been included (ex: a chair by the pool or on the beach, a seat to watch the nightly entertainment , etc. ).

Once those are taken, you either have to pay for a chair or cabana, or find a place to store your stuff.

but not if I could find something close to price.

He told me if I paid him I could sit there.

Little if any consideration for the guests unless you want to pay extra as in the seating around the pool and at the beach.

This is additional cost and is not cheap.

though it's an all inclusive, there are plenty of things they want you to pay an extra charge for so just stick to the normal menus and you'll be fine!

but the only way you could get a poolside chair is if you pay money for a cabana.

Consistent high quality food and beverage choices, friendly professional staff who are eager to assist you and make the most of your stay.

The hibachi dinner is fun and books up quickly.

The food was excellent and I’d recommend trying the Chefs Plate.

We did the dinner on the beach and it was amazing.

We always enjoyed the buffet in Spice, given our food limitations.

The food was very good, especially the breakfast.

The culinary delights at the resort are truly remarkable, offering a diverse and delicious menu.

We rented cabanas on two days, and we also had a romantic dinner by the water.

Pools and beach were lovely, and food was tasty.

Building is beautiful, food is great, staff good and beach is perfect.

The shows were great, and with one exception, so was the food.

The location is in walking distance to luxury shopping and several quality restaurants.

Restaurants ( especially the one facing the beach) are good.

While there are upgraded dinner options, spa services and cabanas available, they are not high pressure sales.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the evening shows.

The evening shows are superb--I have been to many different resorts and this one had the best shows I have ever seen.

There are shows every night, plus fitness classes, a gym & lots of activities/parties.

Note: I HIGHLY recommend Lucero is you book a massage. Incredible!!!

We also took advantage of their spa twice, which was so relaxing.

The hotel and grounds were kept impeccably clean and the amenities, eg: fitness center and classes and the spa were the icing on the cake.

We went to the spa- very unique & again staff are unbelievable.

I’d like to particularly commend Ivan, David, Isal, Sergio and Humberto in the bar & pool area, Martha in the spa and Ambassador team Ingrid, Ana, Monica, Paulina.

The spa experience was phenomenal and the beach was very well kept and pretty would definitely recommend a stay here.

Special kudos to some staffs who are really great asset to the team, Cesar Banron at Marie Marie, Nohemi at zen Spa, Abimael at the lounge space.

Gladys, Elisa, and Alejandro at the Zen spa made our time so relaxing.

From the very beginning, everybody was so welcoming and so attentive.

Overall, it was a relaxing trip and the staff were great.

Several days by the pool they were cooking street food, those were our favorite.

We wanted street tacos that were offered for lunch,

The hydrotherapy ritual at the spa and the street market in the lobby were highlights.

You'd be fortunate to catch the Mexican street market Wednesday night.

The resort has to re-instate reciprocal privileges for the Hyatt Ziva which is 4 miles down the street.

La Isla mall is a 12 minute walk down the street (look for the huge Ferris wheel).

It was also extremely safe and as a young female I felt very comfortable walking across the street and back knowing that the resort knew where I was going.

We only left the hotel once to go across the street to the gift shops.

There is either a grill set up or an area near the pool for burgers, street tacos, etc.

The pineapple lemongrass mimosa at Pelicanos (on resort) and the meatball appetizer at Limoncello (across the street) are a must!

Another thing - find out when Mexican night is for Spice because they do all kinds of authentic mexican street food from Pastor tacos to fresh churros and street corn.

We enjoyed the variety and quality of the nightly entertainment in the lobby -- one night they turned the entire lobby into a street market with food stands which was unique and tremendous fun.

I actually ran out of cash and it cost me $70 to get $500 US $ from an ATM (which is located at circle k down the street) we also ate outside the hotel a few times.

There is also a small shopping center a short walk across the street from the resort.

Shopping, a calm beach, and some street tacos!

Gina made sure we were taken care of and even went to the street the hail us a cab when we were in a hurry!

It was also very close to the street so there was traffic noise.

Food was so bad we ended eating across the street at this amazing restaurant.

This hotel is also great because it is centrally located on the main road,and you can walk across the street to shop, etc.

There is also a 24 hour room service which has good options and they do extra French fries / chips so you can have all the fried potatoes you can eat.

If you stay at the El Dorado you can eat at the restaurants for dinner in the Generation's resort

If you eat meat you’re probably fine,

I'm usually very careful about what I eat and take a probiotic daily

But i cant comment on any other restaurants since we couldn’t eat there.

Dinner reservations go quickly so we found that we could eat at 6 or 8:30.

unless we wanted to eat at 9:00pm every night.

Two of the restaurants we had reservations for were without a/c, it was so miserably hot (being all dressed up) that we couldn’t eat our meals (which were delicious).

Between all three resorts you’ll have a ton of choices of restaurants to eat from.

They even kept back some avocado for me since I couldn’t eat their “guacamole with onion” - so thoughtful.

I would love to travel back to this resort & eat at this restaurant!

Everything you could want to eat or drink, excellent staff, nice activities,

We were here a week and didn’t get to eat in every restaurant or swim in every pool, it is quite daunting!

It's also a lovely place to eat right by the beach.

The restaurant (reservations):
Making reservations for dinner is necessary if you want to eat before 9pm.

Cant recommend staying here enough for some quality time to just relax, eat, and enjoy the gorgeous weather!

There isn’t enough capacity at the restaurants so the entire trip we were told we would have to eat at the buffet.

My wife reminded me of the saying, “Order what you want, eat what you get”.

If you manage to get a reservation and miss it you will be fined $100 USD.

Some a la carte servings were quite small and there was a lot of menu options not included in the all inclusive package meaning that you needed to pay additional charges for some items.

The taxi from the hotel is 65.00 USD and last

Taxes - there are additional costs outside of booking the hotel from the Mexican government so you have to pay a resort fee tax and a sanitation tax.

Food was mediocre at best except for Fuentes that we paid $100/pp extra.

I have to say that this hotel is not a luxury hotel and is not worth the money we paid.

As I have said this is 5th time Mexico most expensive hotel and by miles the worst, we read reviews ect before booking and our take on it is a lot of Americans come back and love it

Overall for the price we paid over £2000 each we shouldn't have to pay for extras like the sauna or some of the other resturants like fuentes wasn't included.

I’m disappointed the beach is not nice no swimming no snorkeling unless you pay for an excursion.the food was good

but when you've paid lots of money to be in all Inclusive hotel it's really not good enough.

I will say that other places I have stayed at this price point comparing apples to apples the basic room at some other places the room was bigger and nicer.

THE ROOM/SUITE
We paid for a Honeymoon Suite.

So it works out quite an expensive night-

To us it didn't make sense to pay that fee, when you had pool service anyways and 2 restaurants right by the pool.

My only complaint with the dinner show was that the wine pairings are an extra cost and they don't tell you about it in advance its just sprung on you once you sit at the table and its an extra $50 USD per person.

but it was at another on the other resort we also didn’t get to enjoy the whole experience because the massage included extra things that the concierge told us weren’t included and we had to pay extra for but when we got to the spa they said it was included.

We booked this resort through RCI and received an invoice stating it was paid in full and it was what we needed to check in.

We have no issue with the cancellation, except that we paid for the cruise upfront.

The restaurants are very amazing and there’s lots of options.We will be back!

Food okay, grounds nice, could not find interesting entertainment.

The good- the resort grounds are beautiful, the food is good for the most part, majority of the staff are very nice and pleasant to deal with.

It was so relaxing, the resort was beautiful, the food was delicious.

There is constant upselling everywhere you go, from a day on a Bali bed to a steak dinner, We went for a steak dinner for approx.

The staff are incredible, the food and surroundings are second to none.

Every restaurant has a strict dress code.

The food was good and the staff were quite nice.

Food wise - breakfast buffet was only at cocotazal and the rest are Ala cart.

Good: room was nice, and the resort is in a beautiful jungle 

Bad: very very hard to find food, everything needs reservations, unless you pay extra.

Room service not great food, and inconsistent and they don't deliver any drinks

The main pool is like being in Benidorm with all the sunbeds on top of each other and the sunbeds were not comfy.

The cake at santa fe resturant was lovely!
