A very quiet location on a breath-taking beach.

I found the service team to be most friendly, including my server Nook, the assistant manager, Khun Oil, and the ladies and gentlemen who tended to the hot and iced coffee and tea station including Boy, Namtarn, Jay C, Namthip, Yim, Su, and the chefs, including Chef Jane (Commis 2) and Chef Pan - both of whom curated my smoked salmon scramble, Chef Fern at the pastry station who made the yummiest  Nutella and cashew nut crepes, aided by the trainee chef also called Fern, Executive Sous Chef Mohan Thakur who curated a delectable Indian vegetarian breakfast for me, consisting of poori, kachori, chole masala, and methi boondi - they truly made the Waterfront breakfast experience the highlight of my mornings at the JW Marriott Khao Lak!

Beautiful beach and have a library, bikes, table tennis table, billiard table etc.

We had a Lagoon room which was just perfect, in Wing 1, which was very close to all restaurants and beach.

The highlights of our stay here are the peaceful and safe setting of the resort's beach for walking, swimming and body surfing, long and winding swimming pools and canals, and the very warm hospitality of the staff and management.

Just off the grounds on the beach side  is a locals enclave with a restaurant and two massage stands.

Level of service, cleanliness, facilities, accessible beach, food.

The pool , the beach and the kids zone are great!!

We took our lunch daily at the Beach Bar.

Although we enjoyed the incredible quality of the food at the hotel we did still forgo some meals to eat in Khao Lak and also at Be Friend restaurant on the beach right next to the hotel.

In addition to the pools, the gardens, the lawn and the beach, I was also extremely impressed by the lemongrass scent that already filled the room when I entered it and the French press that came with ground coffee.

I recommend this resort to anyone with or without children, they cater perfectly for both – my only advice being, children of any age who don’t have water safety smarts / can’t swim, will need extra close monitoring around the extensive pool and beach areas .

The huge and interconnected pool is an incredible offer, and the direct beach access likewise.

It is definitely a place I would like to come and visit again and again, the nicest people work here and they are so skilled and attentive, they regularly bring ice water when you are lying on the beach.

Beach Bar plz look for Mr. Boom … one of best Mixologist… made me happy ever night … Wonderful..

The varied beach activities and long walks on endless stretches of pristine beaches were great.

I can recommend Olive Restaurant, Sakura Japanese, Drift, and the Beach Bar.

These are things you expect from a "Luxury" resort, and which we certainly got at our last Luxury Escapes Hilda's Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua.

Breakfast was fine and the Italian restaurant was excellent.

We also want to thank Pla, the manager of the Italian restaurant Olive, and of course all her staff who made our experience better. Now I have to save money and come back next year :)

We had a Thai cooking lesson with a fantastic chef which made it a very memorable occasion and wonderful food.

As big fans of Italian and Indian food, Chef Enzo and Chef Mohan were just magnificent.

We are kosher observant people who eat vegetarian abroad.

I have been keeping my end of the bargain, by visiting the resort as often as time and money allow and by dining at the resort's bars and restaurants as much as I can afford, and I hope to remain your loyal customer for a long time to come.

Love to stay at marriott hotels..being gold elite member got an upgrade to pool access room.the pool is huge.beautiful resort and friendly staff.travelled with a baby and got baby cot and bottle steriliser.the breakfast is ok and could be better.too many flies.the weather was not that good..raining and cold so couldn't do outdoor activities.the Italian BBq buffet was amazing and tasty..must try..thank you for this memorable stay.

Coffee at Deli is soooooo good it’s boosting my day.

They went out of their way to prepare dishes that my 6 year old daughter couldn't stop eating.

Huge compound, nice and spacious room and bathroom.

The room was spacious, clean, and light with a super comfortable king size bed and a balcony where we could enter directly in to the 1.9km swimming pool.

The pool access rooms are wonderful, relaxing clean and very spacious.

They're spacious, 2 cupboards, all the amenities you'd expect at a 5 star resort, and then direct access to an amazing lagoon pool - measuring 1.9km - the largest in South East Asia.

It is super spacious, with well manicured gardens and the largest swimming pool in this region.

Bathrooms are spacious and equally plush.

The spacious and modern gym was also open.

The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful.

The suite was spacious at 85 square meters and even had two full bathrooms, a small one near the entrance with shower only, and a larger one on the upper floor off the bedroom, with shower plus a separate bathtub.

The rooms are quite spacious and pool access makes it even better.

The gym is well equipped and the recreation zones are super spacious.

Room was spacious and the beddings were so comfortable that we slept way too long each day.

The room was gorgeous, clean and spacious, the pool and gardens were well maintained and stunning, the restaurants, breakfast and mixture of beach BBQs and organised events were excellent and the staff were beyond fantastic.

The rooms were clean and spacious, with a small balcon.

The rooms were spacious for two and well maintained, the cleaning staff brought the rooms to a shine again every morning and evening and even folded our clothes!

Having checked in at lunch and unpacked in the spacious beautifully furnished room, we then spent the afternoon on the beach enjoying the wonderful atmosphere and walking the long coastline stretching to the horizon in both directions.

This place is just what you need for a relaxing break plenty to for the kids really stress free great pools huge variety of food beach on the door step great supermarket 10 minute stroll down the beach also few restaurants n bars hassle free holiday, And fantastic ice coffee from the great fella Kostas in the bar  reception area

There is a little Greek restaurant just down the beach and was nice

There were ample sunbeds at the beach and around the pool.

We wandered along the beach and had a fabulous meal at Alexandria.

Also try Alexandros taverna down the beach, food was sensational!

The beach was excellent and so was the bars and snack areas with on tap drinks and kebabs Costas did a great job.

The same rules regarding reservation were signposted on the beach.

The beach was absolutely beautiful and clean.

The beach was also very close and clean, which makes moving between the pool and beach very easy.

We like a few other guests chose to eat at the Alexandros taverna just down the beach where the food was excellent.

The snack bars were great and the staff in those were lovely and the staff in the beach bar were lovely too.

I know only one thing we had a lot of experiences with five star luxury hotels , for example we satyed before Laguna resort Nusa Dua in Bali , 4 plus star , Queen of Montenegro , this hotel at all does not match five star criterias.i definitely not recomment anybody to stay in this hotel , apart from I mentioned before hotel itself was beautiful and very ggood looking (((,and the hotel was very clean

Take your own kids cutlery that type of stuff really helps.

But the kids enjoyed it which is the main thing.

The main pool area is  really nice and was enjoyed by all the children, out of season so no issues with getting sun loungers.

Perfect family resort as plenty of activities for kids.

Having just arrived home after 7 nights at roda beach hotel in Corfu and what a wonderful time.Cannot find fault with anything, cleanliness, staff were very good and helpful especially Maria and her male friend in the restaurant we hugged them and I miss them both when we left .We were a party of two grandchildren girls they didn't want to leave, this review is genuine,go to Corfu we will go again next year.bye Roger and family.October 2023.

I have always recommended roda beach to people with young children

We booked the italian for a meal and no faults it was lovely even the wine was a beter quality than the main resturants, shame we were only allowed to book one out of the 3 (new hotel policy)
The slush machines were gone this year along with the nice icecreams the kids were very disapointed as they were looking forward to them.

The animation team was a highlight of our stay, offering an array of sports, games, and an engaging night program at the outdoor theatre, including kids' disco, karaoke & dance show performances.

Gently sloping entrance to the sea, great for kids and adults alike.

The beach has a gentle gradient so it’s perfect for small children.

Another rude member of staff is Lia in the creperia she also liked shouting at guests & was very unpleasant at times, maybe she is Spiros's daughter.

Fabulous complex, on the edge of a sandy, very shallow sea, great for the kids.

The evening program offers a mini disco for small children (and for parents), followed by well-choreographed evening shows, musicals and other entertainment for the whole family.

We stayed as a family of four (children aged 8 and 5) in a Premium Family Room with Private Pool for 10 nights.

We had a nice time at the hotel with a 10 night stay and children aged from 5 to 15.

Kids:
Although the kids loved the holiday it was away from the hotel.

It is the best hotel for families and the water slide drove our children crazy!

Vegetarian food choices were poor - we ate chips all week!

This was a terrible hotel with very poor hygiene resulting in multiple families including us ending up very sick.

The drink selection was poor, and they ran out of fizzy orange very early into the week unless you were at the outside bars.

The shower wasn’t the greatest (poor pressure).

We did not eat at the hotel again after the third day due to our concerns and also the food from the Italian was actually very poor.

The entertainment was very poor so going into the nearest town was the only option for some entertainment and a decent drink at night.

The food and drinks are of a poor quality  (no orange juice or fresh milk at breakfast for instance, squash and UHT instead, I could go on…) I think keeping costs down is at the forefront of the hotel owners mind.

There’s a sign saying the management pick the best fruit available, its basic nothing remotely exotic, very poor.

but the size was really poor,  when we first arrived we had beer in expresso cups !!!

Shop on complex very overpriced I saw one lilo priced for €50!!!

Very long queues, rather poor selection of food with very little variety.

We witnessed lots of tempers boiling  over due to poor service.

Sunbeds  - Although there are signs on all umbrellas that state, towels will be removed if they are there between 8-9am don't let this fool you, all beds gone by 7.20am, both beach and pool. Some poor families were led on the hard ground on towels, yes there are 6 other pools,

I did notice by the end of the week the choices were poor though.

Over booked massively with rooms in poor conditions needing a massive upscale and in my opinion is over priced.

In short, I wouldn't stay again despite the great location and facilities because of the poor food and drink service.

This is our 3rd visit to roda beach, the first was amazing so we came back the following year and again had an amazing time, we haven’t had a holiday since the end of 2019 and so decided we would book again as we loved it each time.

So we book in, pay the EU tax, get our wrist bands on, given a Map of the Complex, a porter showed us to our Room.

So me and my boyfriend booked this holiday for my 21st birthday seeing as the photos were gorgeous and it was 5 star all inclusive for cheap - what a mistake.

This was actually quite nice and the new rule that you can't reserve sunbeds before 9am was brilliant as you didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve one.

When we booked we were excited to try each of the four listed restaurants on site (Italian, Greek, Asian and the standard buffet),

Booked this hotel for a holiday to end the summer for myself and my wife.

I needed to see a doctor, which hotel can book for you.

A lot of them being reserved with the hotel  bathroom towels or 1 towel over 3 or 4 beds.

We booked into the spa for massages/an exfoliation for myself and it was amazing.

We could also only book 1 restaurant near the beach as we were only there for 7 days, again this was a change from last time.

A la carte Asian and Italian restaurants (one booking per week) were fantastic could not fault them.

If you want wi-fi in the room again there is a €50 refundable deposit for this also.

The reviews of this place are very accurate and sadly we hadn't read them all before booking.

Italian Restaurant-we booked the morning after arrival for the Italian with no problems getting a reservation for 7.45 which was a perfect time as we got to watch the beautiful sunset.Here we were served by Adam who was excellent.Pizzas were good

This was clearly the NEW MORE MODERN part of the hotel because we went from 3 single beds squashed into what felt like a cupboard to a beautiful spacious room with 2 single beds with bunk beds perfect for me and my 2 children BUT on our return to the room-from the pool one day the bunk beds had gone and who ever had moved all our stuff around in OUR ROOM THAT WED PAID FOR!!!!

Staff:Staff were very mixed some seemed to severely dislike all the guests and some were lovely.

but kids can play and the water is very shallow and calm, lovely to swim in.

)The bars ran out out of lemonade to go with any spirit and they would give you soda water whether you wanted it or not.

We never saw any cleaning happening while we were at the hotel, the food was luke warm.

Pools:
First thing to note is that every pool on site is salt water apart from the spa pool.

We were all sick
After day two, 3 of us came down with D+V and couldn’t even keep water down.

The water sports available were good too!

Many thanks to Panos and Costa at beach bar both friendly & up for a laugh, made our coffee , filled our water bottles ( as water bottles put in room very hit & miss ) and of course our Vodka's & Coke's.

but lunch and dinner luke warm at best and very repetitive to say the least.

We had lots of towels, robes, mini fridge and water.

Our room was cleaned on a regular basis with fresh towels and bottled water delivered daily.

We'd also recommend that rooms are cleaned daily and water is provided daily as out of the five nights we stayed this only happened on three occasions.

Fine if you are a strong swimmer or good at floating as due to the amount of salt in the water it does enable you to float easier.

The resort is on a beautiful clear and shallow water beach, also lined with sun loungers so you’re not short of choice on where to chill out and sun bathe.

The water sports are as fun as they painful!

Fanta, coke an sprite, plus orange juice and water available, and a range of cocktails, beer and wine available from 10am.

Room fridge was restocked with bottled water every day.

The room service works perfectly, cleaned every day and water refilled.

Mini bar was not filled every day and it was only water, no other drinks.

Amazing resort, room cleaned daily and fresh water provided without fail.

we can safely say that this hotel is one of the best in Thailand: good rooms, delicious food, perfect beach, excellent service, beautiful views.

but did enjoy casual lunches at the beach restaurant.

The hotel is situated right on bang Tao beach which is stunning!

There is a complimentary boat and bus shuttle to nearby Laguna shops and restaurants

The rooms are large and well appointed, the public areas spacious and the location between the beach and lagoon ideal.

It is at a good location in Laguna Complex, you can easily get to the beach.

Beach restaurants next door and little town in 5min with shops, supermarket, pharmacy, all you need

And will avoid the hotel in the future.

Hotel is located on the beach front which was very clean.A number of beach 
Bars/ restaurants  are nearby and offer excellent local and European food at very reasonable prices.Lots of young families having a most enjoyable time.

Love being able to go from the pool to the ocean so easily and taking the shuttle between ferry’s and tuk tuks between hotels and Canal village.

The beach is beautiful clean, The Front staff are kind and friendly.

For cocktail, we try Chalong bay rum which is authentic Phuket rum.

The restaurant next to the beach was mesmerising.
