It's located adjacent to the Metro and Amtrak stations an is within walking distance to Old Town restaurants/attractions.

As an added bonus, our upper level room provided a great view of the nearby mainline railroad tracks, with its continuous parade of Amtrak, VRE and CSX trains.

This hotel was a great location for our family to tour around the Washington D.C.  We started our trip in Northern Virginia and took Amtrak into Alexandria.

It is literally across the street from the King St Metro stop and the Alexandria Amtrak station, making travel exceptionally easy.

Upon deciding where to stay while working in the area, Alexandria was our top choice. We were very pleased with the location, service, convenience of food, sites, and travel ( Metro is DIRECTLY across the sidewalk!!)

Recommend not getting a room facing the metro tracks.

Location was perfect for the bus route as well.

We walked to restaurants and bars, and rode the Metro train into DC and to the airport.

The train station is a stone's throw away and the metro, buses, and free trolley at your doorstep.

The location is great as it’s next to the metro and right by the trolley stop for King Street.

Located directly across from the King Street Metro station, it was fast and easy to get to from DCA.

This hotel is located in a great spot, literally a few steps to the King ST. metro station, and right on one of the more happening streets in old town Alexandria, giving you a lot of options for dining or shopping.

The room was bright and spacious and very clean with a view of the George Washington Masonic Temple and overlooking the King Street Metro station.

When my late flight arrived, I just hopped on the METRO to the King Street Metro Station and walk across the street to the hotel.

I couldn’t give the hotel a great rating because our room was adjacent to Metro Station which meant noise and we were assured we would not receive this type of room and we did.

Alexandria old town trolley and King street metro station was just across the street.

Can't beat the location at the corner between Metro Station and fantastic King Street - breakfast was wonderful as well.

We chose this hotel for its convenient location to the King Street Metro station, which I will discuss further below.

My chagrin was the lack of usb outlets (doesn’t matter what kind, there were none except the old back of the tv which I usually only do in Airbnb) and even the electric outlets- there were none close enough to the bed that you could charge your device while using it.

When asked if there was anything could be done about the service or the charge for the bed our request were dismissed my the front. 8.

Hilton overcharged me over $100 / night higher than the rate advertised on their direct booking website.

It was finished off with over charging, failing to provide an invoice (as promised)

There was no free coffee available and the server at the breakfast were confused and charged the full amount for the breakfast when the lower priced option was ordered

In many years of travel and nickel and doing by hotels with “resort fees” “fuel surcharges” various taxes, internet fees, charges for phone calls, we have never had a hotel try to to charge to access our room an hour early prior to the 4:00 check in time.

Not near Old Town; parking lot was abysmal; billing was wrong.

It would have been nice to have a credit for a dinner at restaurant.

but was not sure if it was included or charged.

Unfortunately, we got charged for the $36 parking anyway.

but yet I couldn’t exit as my card key wouldn’t work.

The rates were higher than what was posted on line for a room per night 
They charge a ridiculous fee for parking which we managed to have taken off our bill as it was not mentioned on the website
The room was clean

The outlets for charging are a little less plentiful than most Hiltons, with one USB port in the alarm clock, two nearly useless receptacles in the bedside table lamp (two close to the bottom to fit the charger), two receptacles in the base of the desk lamp, and two receptacles in the wall behind the desk at surface level.

DO NOT take a taxi, several coworkers of mine were charged $65 USD from the Gaylord Conference Centre to Alexandria.

Watch this hotel and their nickel-and-dime charges, or else you might get a surprise.

but must add charge for breakfast and valet parking.

The only caveat that I would point out is that they charge $35 to park your car in their garage, which seems a bit much.

Since the restaurant is open for dinner it would have been fare to offer an option to eat at the restaurant or Starbucks.

You pay extra to eat breakfast downstairs,

Bonus is that Alexandria is a lovely old town, lots of choice of places to eat and a lively buzz down by the waterfront (walk or free trolley).

They provided great advice on how to get into DC, where to eat etc.

We loved walking along historic King st in the evenings and found some great spots to eat or just have a drink or coffee.

It was nice after one very long day at the D.C Museums to eat in the hotel and not have to go out again.

We ordered salads from the restaurant to eat in our room.

even though we were there at the end of the breakfast time period, there was plenty there to eat.

Walk across street to the metro stop or walk a minute to get to the trolley which will take you up and down King Street where you can shop and eat.

My companion ordered a waffle rather than eat from the buffet.

This hotel is great it is near Amtrak and across the street from the Metro subway free trolley to down town Alexandria good place to eat around the hotel or in the hotel.

Tons of food options up and down King Street and if you have the time and love shrimp n grits you have to eat at 219.

There is a few places to eat close by that are good and CVC.

Good places to eat, have drinks and window shop.

However, if you like to walk, there are good places nearby to get something good to eat.

I am from the restaurant industry and we had to pop back in the kitchen for use of some things during our mtg, and our staff said the kitchen is so clean they would eat off the floor.

Walking on a lovely street with many choices to eat was a plus.

Quiet and clean hotel with convenient parking, Starbucks in lobby, short walk to all Old Town Alexandria attractions, and 1 block from King Street metro station.

Starbucks in lobby was good for a quick breakfast, too.

The full-service lobby Starbucks (6a-1p) offers convenience for a quick coffee or breakfast.

The host was awesome and their Starbucks is in the lobby.

They have a Starbucks in the lobby which was convenient.

I slept great and enjoyed Starbucks in the lobby for breakfast.

Located at 1767 King Street, in Alexandria's historic King Street neighborhood, it is a four-star hotel with a Starbucks in the lobby, the King Street Tavern for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a fitness center, a business center, gift shop, lounge and concierge.

Having a Starbucks in the lobby is a nice touch!

This location was close to the train which made travel into DC very easy.

I would suggest this is a good choice if you want to stay in a convenient location for Old Town Alexandria.

This Hilton is ideally located for spending time in Alexandria as well as seeing all the attractions D.C. offers.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, which isn’t saying much as it’s several blocks from anything interesting.

The positives are the location (close to metro) and quiet rooms.

Located in lovely downtown Alexandria, this hotel is modern with quality amenities.

I attended a conference and this was a great place to be located.

Parking is under the hotel and is not free.

The parking deck was a challenge and $36 a day

You have to pay for parking and for any food at the hotel.

There is an inside parking garage with an elevator directly to your floor.

Parking is also high at $35 per night for a hotel guest.

BUT there is a problem: not only is the parking garage horribly designed it has a foul stench.

Note for disabled visitors: The only accessible entrance is around the side of the building, off the parking driveway; all the other entrances have steps.

$26 dollars a day, never had to do that before, and there is no alternative parking that I could see.

I've stayed here a few times before so was aware of the convoluted approach to the parking garage, which can be difficult to find.

We also had to pay $29 a day for parking at the hotel.

Self parking only, $30 a night, and the garage is pretty confusing since it's shared with other businesses.

The parking is well marked, small spaces though.

Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large desk for the bit of work we needed to do.

We had a corner King room, which was very spacious and very clean.

Rooms were spacious and clean, tv screens were massive.

Room was spacious, clean, attractive, and comfortable.

Room was very clean and bathroom was spacious.

We also saw that the room was quite spacious.

The King corner rooms are spacious with nice views.

Also, our room was spacious and had a nice view of the city.

Our room large and roomy; it had a king size bed and a sofa bed also.

First time in Alexandria VA, highly recommend hotel,  best location,clean and spacious room, great staff ( Melissa & Sayed at the bar, Besa & Mohammedat at the restaurant, Lauren at the front desk), best cocktail menu in town.

The lobby is spacious and has a great Starbucks.

The bathroom was spacious with good water pressure and nice fixtures.

The king room was clean and spacious and same with the bathroom.

The rooms are quite spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.

The lift from street level to the lobby is half-broken, so good luck carrying your suitcase into the hotel.

We have stayed on King street numerous times.

The location was great, right on King Street at the west end of Old Town and right across the street from the transit center.

And with the Metro across the street, easy to get all over the Capitol Region.

It runs every 15 minutes down King Street to all the wonderful shops and restaurants—and it is free!

The King Street free trolley is a great service for getting around!

As I always arrive and depart by train, this is literally across the street from the Metro, VRE, & Amtrak stations.

Best Hotel to stay, due to suite style rooms, Complimentary Breakfast, Next to Train and Amtrak, Walking distance to Whole Foods, 15 mins from DCA airport.

Convenient to free trolley service, regional rail and AMTRAK.

This hotel is located within walkable distance from King Street metro and amtrak station and the free King Street trolley.

Location near old town Alexandria, Metro and Amtrak was excellent.

The stop is across the street along with the Amtrak station.

This property has an excellent location, just across the plaza from the King Street Metro station, a short walk from the Amtrak station, and close to all the King Street restaurants and shops.

My family makes an annual visit to Alexandria and usually stay at the Embassy Suites which is easy walking distance from Amtrak, the Metro station and the Old Town Trolley stop.

Oh and the east coast Amtrak also stops at the king street station across from the hotel as well, so if you took the Amtrak this would be an awesome hotel to stay at.

You can take metro or Amtrak to go into DC or take trolley and/or explore Old Town Alexandria from across the street.

Great location and easy to walk to from amtrak station, metro and also great access to free trolley.

I've been staying with these fine folks for a couple years now and always enjoyed it. From the warm underground parking, to the nice made-to-order omelets and buffet for breakfast, to the beautiful atrium (currently decked out in holiday spendor!)

Morning breakfast was well done with plenty of options for everyone.

but they were not staffed to handle check/in, breakfast or evening reception let alone enough staff to keep it clean.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is absolutely terrific.

One was "Mike," the manager, and the other person was "Maria," the breakfast cook.

Hotel is right across from the metro and has a great continental breakfast.

It had a nice breakfast, happy hour and staff was pleasant and professional.

The free breakfast was great as well as the happy hour.

Breakfast was very good every morning with omelets made to order!

but a spacious and quiet room, so friendly staff, American style breakfast and others gave me a power for tomorrow.

Thirdly, the breakfast setup was fantastic, especially the omelet station.

They have busy time frames for breakfast posted in the elevator which was helpful.

Overall, the food was good, both dinner and the next morning's complimentary breakfast (which included cooked to order items).

Great location - opposite the metro to get into Washington DC and close enough to walk to the harbour before breakfast.

The breakfast was great- lots of choices.

The morning breakfast service is without peer in the industry: fresh made to order omelettes and other light grill fare as well as all the fruit, cereals, yogurts and bagels you would expect as well as the hot buffet items like sausage links, waffles, scrambled eggs and hash browns.

Other than that, the hospitality was good, breakfast was great, and I slept well.

Close to many places to eat and also the Old Town metro stop.
