The noise of the air conditioner fan is very loud.

but the air conditioner kept leaking water onto the floor and only got fixed after the third complaint.

Bed was incredibly uncomfortable and fan & AC very noisy ( worn out )

Overall I can not recommend this Hotel or Location to future guests.

anyway they finally moved us later in the day to a ground level room far from the pool ,with initially a horrible paint fume smell .then for the next 3 days had to put up with a noisy clunky air conditioner that they wouldn't fix .the bed felt like concrete was very hard waking up sore every day  .Overall very bad experience ,would never recommend However the food was ok

We did learn while I was there that a storm power failure knocks out the unit

Deluxe poolside room was dated,rundown, bathroom fittings disgusting,fridge dirty and a/c not working on arrival.

The ceiling fans in both rooms we stayed in were covered with dirt and dust and needed a good clean.

A little disappointed with hotel because we had an air conditioner issue (was leaking water all over the floor) called reception to come and fix and no one ever showed up.

Our room aircon made broke down one night only to be informed by the maintenance guy that the aircon was unserviced and dirty, can only be serviced next day morning.

however the fan was almost falling off the roof when turned on so couldn’t be used.

Our first room was average, fan made squeaking noise all night, air con didn’t work properly, shower had a broken handle and there was limited hot water.

Had trouble with aircon.. customer service at reception could have been better.

First night no beds set up for kids, then bathroom door knob comes out, air conditioner not working, then today cricket World Cup is on

The bed was a bit firm and could be improved with a mattress topper as provided by many hotels and I agree that the ceiling fans need to be replaced with silent, newer style fans (although we just used the air-conditioning instead). This is a quieter area of Bali with enough restaurants within walking distance or quick taxi at night or 10 minutes drive from Nusa Dua ( or we ate from the bar menu)

Air Con is miserable with no adjustment of temperature available.

We had one more issue with a lizard in our room - housekeeping arrived at our room to say he couldn't find it and that it had probably went up to the air conditioning and to call him if we seen it again.

We had issues with our air conditioner , we were unable to change the temperature or fan speed on the wall panel so we called for maintenance.

but the aircon was next to useless and pretty noisy.

Bu Maya prepared our favorite room (#822; Oceanfront Beach Cabana), the same exact room we stayed during Christmas 2020.

After completed check-in procedures, we were immediately escorted to our ocean view beach cabana room (room # 822).

Our room, this time a beachside cabana, was excellent including cleaning and turndown service, the pools and gardens always lovely, CoCo's ambience and food so nice and reclaiming the beach that had previously been eroded has now been concluded to a most attractive standard.

From small rooms with just a shower and a garden view or pool view, to larger rooms also with views, single beds to king beds, to family rooms to terrace rooms with a patio and an outdoor shower in addition to indoor shower and tub, to villas with their own pools to beach front cabanas.

We stayed in a Beach Cabana with outdoor bathtub.

All the food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing and strong at the restaurants😁 our room was beautiful Balinese style staying in the beach cabana.

though other beach cabana rooms on the other side of the pool had perfect sea views.

In saying this we did really love the cabana.

This time we booked a Beach Cabana which we have stayed in on a number of occasions a couple of years ago.

My husband I and stayed at the Novotel in Benoa for 6 nights in one of their excellent Beach Cabana Rooms.

The beach cabana is very near to the pool and the beach.

We had booked a beach cabana which was really nice.

We first stayed here as a couple in a beach cabana and have been delighted to return more than 10 years later with our son.

but I highly recommended to always book the rooms in the beach wing or the beach cabanas if you can get them, as they always seem to run out everytime I stayed there.

We stayed four nights in a Beach Cabana room and three nights in a Tropical Terrace room.

We stayed in a Beach Cabana at this fantastic resort between the 17th January and 24th January, 2018.

Novotel Benoa took a Bali traditional approach design with many garden spots giving closeness to nature feeling.

The hotel gardens are beautiful and again very well looked after.

The Novotel Benoa is a traditionally Balinese architectural resort that has been maintained and developed with beautiful gardens that are comforting to stroll through.

Our room had good views over the pool and garden.

Initially worried about staying across the road on the garden side, in the end no issues at all and thankful for the huge room that fitted our family of 5 and the PlayStation.

The property retains a Balinesian feel with thatched roofs and the gardens are spectacular.

Staff are friendly and gardens well kept.

We arrived late in the evening for check in.Our room  was on the garden side.

Walk 9j shower, maid services everyday, room service (not included as part of A/I) and a nice garden area and patio.

Resort is stunning, gardens, pools, all restaurants, the spa, I can’t fault it.

6) The pools and gardens were well maintained, clean and spacious.

Nice resort, has a beach view, never forgotten memories, the room was clean and tidy, nice garden, very cozy bedroom, has a bathtub, we enjoy stay here, the staff very friendly and polite especially Ari Utami who help me very fast when we need some amenities.

I have been upgraded from a garden room to a Bungalow.

The beach section is, as one would expect, near the beach while those in the garden section have their own pool

Our own private garden with a wonderful split blue wooden gate, the room was plenty big enough

They have a lot of entertaining facilities and the gardens around the hotel look like heaven. The food is very tasty:) this hotel has all the ingridients for a great vacation:)

Plus Nusa Dua beach was in the middle of a huge renovation so wouldn't have enjoyed that much either.

The hotel is quiet as it is located at the end of the nusa dua beach.

The fireworks display at midnight was brilliant and the fireworks all along the Nusa Dua Beach lit up the sky with colour.

The room itself is only few steps away from the beach.

Although our room, especially the furniture, started showing its age, it was still clean and fairly maintained.

Currently the hotel, like all hotels in Bali, is very quiet  
My room was in the beach wing and was very comfortable and spacious with a lovely terrace.

at first we were upgraded to the XXX room from our initial order at Tropical Room.

The room has comfy bed and separated bathtub and shower.

We then decided to make a reservation for August and both rooms and the food were good.

They have 2 rooms very big room and beautifull bathroom.

The room is so immaculate, very spacious with most comfortable bed.

There was also two pools, one with a swim up bar, just seconds from our room.

The rooms are beautiful and the grounds are lovely.

Through the efforts of Celia, Customer Service Officer, and Devi, Room Division Manager, we were able to gain agreement that the package deal could be deferred until later after COVID danger passes,

Great package deal for a few nights and then added a couple of extra nights,  I had to change rooms due to separate bookings.

We stayed beach side in a tropical terrace room which was amazing, the cleaning during the stay was impeccable, I'm a bit of a clean freak.

The staff are super friendly, great pools and they have adjoining rooms for families.

To the credit of the staff they moved us to the same sort of room, a Cabana back off the beach.

our time here was just perfect, The Hotel , room , pools, breakfast and every member of staff we met were just lovely, i honestly can not find a fault in our stay, we had the perfect holiday in gorgeous surroundings, our room was cleaned to perfection every single day.

Inside it smelt, the doors would not open or close.

The bedding was disgusting and despite asking the hotel for new pillows and mattress topper as they were filthy they did not change them.

Broken things in the rooms, a stench in the hallways like sewage, a ridiculous pool towel card system - I could go on & on.

The rooms are dated, not clean and have moldy type smells.

It was was nothing short of disgusting, Dirty and dingy, the bed linen was grubby and smelt of curry.

Sweeping vomit into dustpan and then sweeping the rest of the floor.

The rooms need maintenance, sheets we stained and bathroom musty and moldy.

The toilet smelt like sewer and shower was old and stained.

The lady checking us in asked me to fill out a preference sheet relating to what we'd prefer re room, pillow etc.. before I'd finished filling this out she had already handed me the room keys.. 

On arrival in the room we could see from the outset it hadn't been cleaned properly, the windows and mirrors were filthy, there was water stains on many of the walls, rubber peeling from the balcony door, bed sheets stained with what appeared to be old blood.. it goes on.

The kids room stinks and the sheets smell.

One of the rooms (438) smelled a little damp/moist,

There is a lot of watersports going on in this area so a lot of gasoline fumes and loud exhaust noises from the jetski's and parasailing boats.

but it has been washed away and replaced with a rock wall.The other major detraction is all of the jet skis, boats etc,so noisy and smelly (petrol and exhaust fumes) a real shame.

but pork bacon was in the omelet station with no label and one spoon was used for all the condiments, it's disgusting and made me sick.

The bedrooms had not been aired out for I don't know how long as there was a musty smell due to the humidity and dampness.

however it turns off when you turn the lights out so in the morning, it was rather musty.

The hotel location is good  sports activities and I enjoyed the food in the hotel and also the breakfast and the fresh flowers daily and the beach view with the nice Jacuzzi in the hotel and swimming pool and the spa it was relaxing as well

Massages were very much enjoyed to relax and swim.

The duty manager was very apologetic and gave us free airport transfer back to the airport and my wife a free facial, which was appreciated.

but nice, Nusa Dua is also nice but remote no walking access to restaurants, massage & shops.

The spa ladies are very experienced and it is beautiful decor and a peaceful setting.

I had a massage in the SPA and that was lovely, it worked out at about £26 for 75 minutes - very good value.

Amidst all the restaurants (a couple of them Indian as well) & massage places & salons.

It has its own kid’s club, spa, gift shop & private beach.

The food is excellent, bed changed every other day we had 10 days here and receieved free massage, cocktails with manager , cake and cookies and fruit on first night as a thank you for booking with them i have to say i didnt want to come home and have told all freiñds and family and have strongly recommemd your hotel to them.

The brekky is bountiful, nearby cheap restaurants and Bali massage locations plentiful.

They have good service, a nice beach and pool, good restaurant, relaxing spa and kind staff.

Nearby there are some good restaurants, massage place which is great and clean is very near, groceries store, souvenir shop.

Buffet dinners,entertainment,massages & drinks included in scoop on package were all excellent & made for a good value stay.

Its further down the beach in Benoa where the ocean is very average in comparison to Nusa Dua Beach.

The best part about the room was the balcony which gave a sweeping view of the Nusa Dua beach.

Hotel's location is great, just 20 minutes or so from the airport and there is a free shuttle service which runs to Nusa Dua beach.

We were having a honeymoon in bali searching a hotel is near to Nusa Dua beach for water activities,

The nusa dua beach grill is near geger past the humongous mulia  hotel with great food beach view and they pick you up and drop you off for free.

Aston is at Benoa beach, sort of an extension of Nusa Dua beach which is more on the quiet side.

I phoned Wotif and they worked for two days to move us and they were able to get us a room at the Nusa Dua Beach Resort & Spa.

We also had easy access to water sports in Nusa Dua beach area

The maintenance of the grounds and pool area was undertaken daily, even scooping up the Frangipani flowers multiple times a day.

The cleaning was immaculate throughout the hotel and the surroundings and pool area were pleasant.

The pool area was very well maintained as are the grounds.

The pool area is lovely overlooking the private beach.

We booked 2 rooms with connecting door,check in process was fast,staff is good at their job.welcome drink.. yes.. they gave you.room is spacious,clean towel,clean bathroom,breakfast was great.. a alot of variety food,asian food,western food its all great.but please dont buy cocktail in pool area.. the taste was poor.they said it pinacolada..

The gardens and pool area  are also really well maintained and the pool is fine

The hotel has a beautifull outdoor view, especially at the swimming pool area that connected directly to the beach area.

Have been to Bali few times before so not surprised by the friendlyness and professionalism of our Hotel staff.While slightly dated pool area needs a bit of maintenance.Loacation superb few steps to the ocean attentive and polite at all times.Would certainly recommend

In general it was very very clean and a stones through from the edge of the pool area.

This resort offers a gorgeous beach and pool area adjacent to each other, with a swim up bar.

The pool area is very spacious with plenty of beds to go around and it is right on the beach which offers a lovely view point.

The separate bath/shower was always a big plus for me

Watching the kites fly bys while sitting in the ocean pool was a relaxation dream I came to Bali for.

We were offered an upgrade at check-in to rooms 330 & 332 which had excellent views of  the ocean and pool.

Nice to have choice of swimming in pool and sea!

Our room was in the 4th floor viewed with view to the pool and sea.

It was so spacious with floor to ceiling windows facing the pool and ocean.

Very spacious with huge king bed , balcony over looking the pool and ocean and bathroom with great heat and pressure in the shower.

If you don’t want a view of the building site next door then I would upgrade to a pool view, especially if you like to relax on the balcony and take in the view.

One ocean front suite, one facing pool and ocean view and one garden view.

.great food (especially the eggs done any which way you want) and an amazing view of the pool with the ocean in the background.

We had a garden view room which allows u to also see the pool and the ocean it is breath taking.

On arrival at the hotel we checked into our Garden Deluxe Room, the room was clean, neat with a beautiful view of the Garden, pool and Sea.

We had a standard deluxe garden room and it was exquisite overlooking the pool.

but the ocean and pool views are excellent.

The gym was well equipped with big windows facing the pool and ocean.

My sister and I stayed at the Grand Aston in July checking in was excellent and we were taken to our room and given all the information we needed 
Our room 326 had a lovely view of the sea and pool ,beds comfy and a lovely bath.

Ocean and pool facing rooms are comfotable and suitable to see sunrise.

We had a lovely view of the pool and beach though.

I asked for another one if there is one available, and they gave me a really nice and bright one, overlooking the pool and the ocean.

although a lot of rooms were vacant, they gave us (familie Lyon with two teenage boys) two bedrooms with a view on the ramains of an abandoned hotel.

The room are big complete with a pool in the bathroom.

but this is where we found delicious food, the sea was immediately visible from the room, warm and fast service from the head of housekeeping, Mr. Ucok.

but rooms are good, and grounds are immaculate, but maybe a lack of funds has stopped the enforced covid shutdown period, not to be used to tackle the tiredness  look to the hotel and give it some vav a voom.

The hospitality, spacious and clean room, tasty breakfast, and  the direct access to the beautiful beach are all are very great.

Rooms are come in decent size with your own jacuzzi inside the bathroom.

Recommend to book the beach view or beachfront room on higher building for a better view and less crowded.

The room was amazingly spacious with a kitchen nook enough to conceal itself

our room was totally adequate and well appointed.

We stayed in a Deluxe room which was way beyond our expectations.

View from room is pretty, bed is very comfortable.

Lovely stay nice and quiet and clean comfortable rooms with fantastic staff with a smIle on their face all day.

From the airport pick up, till the room check-in, the staffs are very helpful and friendly.

The kids loved the kids play room and all us adults loved the enormous pool and bar.

The rooms are huge and they conveniently have joint rooms for families.

The Bad:
Beach is gross, SO much rubbish, smelly,
A massive old rusty abandoned boat on shore to the right of hotel.

Were given a room with bad moisture and damp smell on second floor

.room dark no natural light which accounts for dampness and smell.

The toilet was another matter, it seemed to smell every time it was used.

- the room smelled really damp and the whole building felt badly ventilated, the building is quit old and that’s noticeable, the rooms would need a thorough cleaning.

The sheets were stained and the toilet was filthy.

but as soon as you enter it you can smell mould and you can see it aswell in the corners of the ceiling.

but hey half the fun is watching them - it can get a little smelly with the fumes of the boats etc.

but the private beach is bad and smells like gasoline all morning from the water sports.

My wife and I got Bali belly on day 2 which was awful especially while having a 1yr old and they charged us $200 to see the doc and get a few tablets, then disgustingly charged us $100 to was 2 small bags of washing!!

But the hotel doesn't look like the pictures and it smells like fish and is a little depressing.

Breaky was good, i am sure you saying that i am happy now and i am not, how can you have twenty or so people having breaky and someone light up a cigarette that is BS, NO ASHTRAYS ON A TABLE PLEASE!!!

BAD, ashtrays on the tables, we were having breakfast with someone smoking on the next table, puts you off whatever you are eating at the time and i am an x smoker.

We had an issue with the smell in our bathroom, which could have been a problem

however swimming is very limited and the amount of powered water craft means the sea is a little dirty and there is often a smell of fuel.

We stayed here as a party of 6 - my older sister and her husband booked a suite and were most disappointed due to the smell.

The other hotels beach were full of cigarette

I tried their Spa and it was a fantastic experience!

The SPA was not only a relaxing experience

Strolling around we could see villas 'n Balinese cottages with interesting lanterns/ decor, probably for spa/ massage use.

There are lots of Super cheap spas across the road, as well as pharmacies, small supermarket, souvenir stores, fruit stands and laundry Mats.

The family had three massages each which were extraordinarily good.

Heaven on earth is all I can rate it as

The massage facility was clean and the service professional,and great value for money.

Pool bar, breakfast buffet, Giorgio, Nagisa Izikaya, the spa, yoga class, of course the pool and the beach.. all are awesome !!!

We were treated to a 1 hour Balinese massage and the spa was very professional and very relaxing and the gym was small

The hotel is also excellently positioned, close to many restaurants and massage places.

Our stay included two one hour complimentary massages, a discount off the restaurants and 1M rupiah off the food and beverage bill (although I can’t recall seeing that been credited back as part of our unused deposit).

The SPA is fantastic too - Thanks MC for booking me here - glad you went to that function!

We vistited the spa one day and it was wonderful.

This included reception, restaurant, security, housekeeping, spa and maintenance staff.

Pool was great and enjoyed Tanjung Benoa, great massages very close to the hotel.
