Our villa and it's pool were gorgeous and clean as was the pool area and swim up bar.

I have to give a special mention to Deksu who always greeted  with a lovely smile and great conversation, to Aris who was working as a barman at the pool bar and finally to Maria and her team in the spa.

The swimming pools were well maintained and the pool bar was well stocked.

On requesting bucket of ice from bar was handed a bill to sign.

All the outdoor facilities are great with the inclusion of multiple daybeds and swim up bar for everyone to enjoy.

Pretty dangerous considering there is a pool bar with glass and guests relaxing.

Great location for shopping, beach restaurants and bars.

but 2 mins from bars restaurants and shops and no more than 5mins from the beach.

At the beach there are many beach bars and hundreds of bean bags to lay on- great place to go at night to listen to live music.

We spent much our time at the pool bar as we loved to have cocktails.

i would stay again, liked the pool and pool bar in it. i will definitely recommend it to my friends as well :)

Great spot in Legian, tucked away less than 5 minutes from the main road, close to restaurants and bars.

The 2 bedroom villas are awesome as is the pool with swim up bar as an afternoon escape and cool down after a full day of shopping, spaing and exploring.

Astagina is a beautiful hotel, I loved the grounds and the big pool with swim up bar and cabanas.

The amazing pool in the middle of the resort should be used for midnight swims after the bar in my opinion,

Great pool bar with comfy day beds to hang out on!

Only 5 minute walk from the beach and location is perfect, there are many good restaurants and bars in the area.

Great location, great facilities, great pool and swim up bar.

But the main gem of the hotel is the main pool and bar and especially the staff.

Main pool area was great with good service and a bar .

The bathroom in our villa did smell a bit musty

but somehow very slippery,  slipped a few times on the way to the bathroom.

Rooms are a decent size, we upgraded to the garden suite which had a bath and a very small “garden” with no space for seats or natural light.

Room and bathroom were on the smaller side

The Villa was in very poor condition, on arrival the towels in bathroom looked more like rags.

I give Astagina only four stars is due to some of the hotel facilities being a little bit faulty such as the shower pipes leaking water in areas it shouldn’t or the shower door not closing

but again a little shabby and the worst thing was the hot water did not come through for 10 minutes in the shower.

Some improvements/repairs need to be made to our 2 bedroom unit: gap in bathroom floor between shower and rest of bathroom looks like it needs a good bleach clean and possibly the shower also, the lounge is so uncomfortable and has a large cigarette burn on it - as it is white it is quite grubby, fan on verandah does not work, the kitchen needs a new tap - ours was rusty, loose and a little grungy.

but the bathroom was old and tired looking.

however dated and bathroom need a good scrub.

Only small negatives are that the pool area has little shade (needs bigger umbrellas), and our shower head sprayed water everywhere and soaked the bathroom floor.

The only reason for 4 stars is that there were ants in the room, the bathroom is pretty outdated and the aircon was super loud.

Our bedsheets had a few stains on them and our aircon started leaking a few days into our stay.

The bathrooms had quite a bit of water damage and the basin in our second room was badly cracked, the linen was old and badly needs updating.

After three days we ran out of toilet paper, they wanted to charge is for that, wanted fresh towels for our shower and they would only give us two

We booked different rooms for 2 nights, and unfortunately the toilets for both rooms were slightly outdated with both showers having poor water pressure and clogged sinks.

Tasty breakfast buffet (included in the cost), convenient location in walking distance to the beach yet set back so it’s a bit quieter, generously sized, spacious rooms, and friendly, attentive staff.

As it was clean, great pool areas and close to the beach.

What a wonderful find this was, we have never stayed by double six beach and wanted to stay close.

The property itself is stunning - beautiful gardens and so peaceful and quiet despite only being a quick walk to anything you need.

If you bring family with children, this place is the answer as the family pool for children is nice with big garden.

The hotels garden's and pools are immaculate.

I do really Like this Hotel, bcs all staff are welcome and polite, good swiming pool and Big Garden, Also the room Clean i stay in this hotel like home and i want to stay again next Holiday.

The gardens at Astagina are well cared for and the staff are so kind and always willing to help.

We can't fault this place,  gardens are gorgeous,  the smaller pool by the beer garden made for a great cool off dip.

The beer garden at night was very relaxing with decent music.

I would say the highlight of this hotel is the pool area and the pleasant gardens the hotel sits in.

On a positive note the beds were very comfortable, the pool and gardens are lovely ,breakfast and the food in general were very good and the staff are all lovely.

There is a smaller pool ideal for smaller kids near the beer garden.

For muslim travelers there are few Halal food nearby the hotel area that you can find.

but there are places nearby that are good.

The buffet was good and the pool was fantastic.

Astagina is one of the finest hotel, unique design with Garuda Wisnu Kencana big statue at front, 2 swimming pools and comfy place to stay and relax…
One input perhaps on the arrangement of the breakfast, hopefully Astagina will be able to develop more variety of the menu.

The best villa ever I stay, with privat pool and also have living room, smart tv the best with netflix, very comfortable and near from market and beach, I will recommend this villa for my friend and family, I will come back

Circle K is just at the end of the drive way; massages and all sorts of restaurants also just a few minutes walk.

The evening meal and menu was great though!!

Two minutes  of walking was enough for restaurants and shops.

The restaurant/breakfast area's clean and well presented,  the breakfast food was great and we ordered 2 room service  meals that were comparable with the street restaurants both in guality and price.

No hotel information in your room such as emergency details, hotel details on where everything is situated, no phone connection information, no dinners or tours etc.

There are only 5 minutes to the beach and there are many restaurants in the area.

The hotel staff were all lovely and accommodating, meals and facilities were great and the koi were a hit with our son.

We had such a great 10 days here, the staff always went above and beyond for us.. Breakfast was great, such a variety, the kids absolutely loved both pools, and the special dinner nights were perfect.

When we called maintenance, we realized that they have to turn the water off as the toilet and washing sink were leaking when water turned on and could be smelly from the drain.

They let you bring your own drinks and smoke by the pool

Not knowing what this was we accepted the offer to move then found we were actually no better off as it is just 2 single mattresses on the same base with a plank of timber down the middle.

Dirty water pool inside rooms and smelly inside rooms.

I wouldn't mind them drinking and smoking while sitting at the bar.

Let’s start with mould, that kills people everywhere.

Room: Dirty old bathroom that is literally rotting away with mould.

Rooms are getting a bit dated and could do with an overhaul, (bit of a musty smell

Downside: The shower grout and silicone was filthy and cobwebs were prevalent in many areas.

The bathrooms had mold around the shower and in the villa we were staying in the shower was covered in green slime and mold.

The negative the bathroom, amenity in the room are old and disgusting, I couldn't believe the bathrobe and mat are outdate.

The laundry service was terrible our clothes weren’t washed at all just smelt like fabric softener!

The property generally required maintenance the room air conditioner was never cleaned because of an odor and the

However, the curtains in our room (317) were filthy with fingermarks and stains all over them.

The shower was dirty and the window from the bathroom to the bedroom was mouldy.

but the bathroom was still grotty, wood units rotting slightly, very old fixtures.

I then explained to him all the issues we had with the room like the blocked drain and fault air con that we never bought to their attention

The service provided by staff is incredible, and I say a big thank you in particular to Ketut and Krisna who worked tirelessly to make sure we had the best stay possible.

Tried their spa and massage lady Ms. Enik is friendly and comfortable.

From making sure we reached our destination and for always greeting us with the biggest smile.

but not least the staff are so friendly and happy and helpful.

.we got along really well with everyone the workers and the tourists.

There is always someone at the reception and security at the gate.

Always friendly, always smiling and was a great help.

Staff are all very friendly and accommodating, especially Sunny, Krishna and Dee.

The highlight was the service, the smiles and the general attitute of the staff.

We could not fault anything or any of the staff.

The hotel staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Very good buffet breakfast and really friendly staff.

Spa and massage facilities are wonderful Enik and Lina are wonderful staff.

I consider him a valuable asset to the hotel establishment

Two things which were annoying, the day beds where people placed their towels and left the hotel!

Three times we asked for towels to shower with since they took them away and didn't replace .

On arrival we were given a refreshing drink and nice cool towel and then we were taken to our room only to discover we had a king size bed when I had requested twin beds.

Find weird system of towel,  They keep account of each towel you use.

Towels & bed linen could do with being replaced/upgraded.

Attention to detail in room cleaning (no hand towels provided, the blind to cover the bathroom glass window was wet when drawn down and had mould on it)

So we assumed the guests would be back soon after leaving their towels there.

Before you were allowed to check out of your room, reception sent someone to your room to inspect it, the bedding, towels, bed and furniture, so that nothing had been damaged or stolen.

The towels are grey and like sandpaper and you dont get a hand towel, you have to ask for it.

so that you don’t damage the hotels bedding or towels as you will be charged.

That's all well and good so long as no one takes one of your towels.

One thing that was REALLY odd was that there were no face towels/washer/cloth or hand towels, so we had to use our towels to dry our hands etc, again not a huge issue

however, there was a bit of miscommunication with them regarding towels, other than that, we had a pleasant experience with them.

Strangely, the hotel doesn't provide hand or face towels.

She also assisted us with special requests such as extra towels, assisting us with the safe and also allowing me to use the pool services for the entire day after I had checked out on my last day and also arranged for me to be able to have a shower later that evening.

The bathroom in our room was a let down; bath towels were old and faded and we only ever got 2 at a time, we never had hand towels, the shower was over the bath and we had to hold the bathroom sink to steady ourselves as we climbed in and out as it was so pokey and cramped!Breakfast was alright, don’t bother getting it every day as there’s many cute cafes nearby you can check out

The resort itself is starting to show its age and could go with a little maintenance (eg the gazebo near the bigger pool has rotten timber around it, and the towels could be thrown away and new ones purchased.

On day 2 of our stay 3 towels (1x green Lacoste) we’re laid out unattended for 5 hours.

One of my favorite thing is the breakfast menu is amazing ! !

Breakfast buffet at this location was top notch with a huge variety of selection.

From seating us during breakfast as well as making sure that our check out process was seamless!

The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have been to.

Breakfast is possibly the best I’ve experienced, and I’m 44, I’ve had loads of them!

There are options for all tastes and its the one place in Bali we managed to have bacon for breakfast, so really gave some home comfort.

The breakfast choices were amazing never had so much choice.

She really looked after me every morning at breakfast.

Food - 8/10, tasty breakfasts and other food

There are sunbathing/relaxing area with sunbeams and umbrellas and pools.

Pembri was our busy for breakfast and after one visit remembered all of our names and made sure our stay was perfect.

Breakfast was incredible the selection abundant with choice and such great quality.

Buffet breakfast selection covered everything - great cappuccinos!
