Our villa and it's pool were gorgeous and clean as was the pool area and swim up bar.

I have to give a special mention to Deksu who always greeted  with a lovely smile and great conversation, to Aris who was working as a barman at the pool bar and finally to Maria and her team in the spa.

The swimming pools were well maintained and the pool bar was well stocked.

On requesting bucket of ice from bar was handed a bill to sign.

All the outdoor facilities are great with the inclusion of multiple daybeds and swim up bar for everyone to enjoy.

Pretty dangerous considering there is a pool bar with glass and guests relaxing.

Great location for shopping, beach restaurants and bars.

but 2 mins from bars restaurants and shops and no more than 5mins from the beach.

At the beach there are many beach bars and hundreds of bean bags to lay on- great place to go at night to listen to live music.

We spent much our time at the pool bar as we loved to have cocktails.

i would stay again, liked the pool and pool bar in it. i will definitely recommend it to my friends as well :)

Great spot in Legian, tucked away less than 5 minutes from the main road, close to restaurants and bars.

The 2 bedroom villas are awesome as is the pool with swim up bar as an afternoon escape and cool down after a full day of shopping, spaing and exploring.

Astagina is a beautiful hotel, I loved the grounds and the big pool with swim up bar and cabanas.

The amazing pool in the middle of the resort should be used for midnight swims after the bar in my opinion,

Great pool bar with comfy day beds to hang out on!

Only 5 minute walk from the beach and location is perfect, there are many good restaurants and bars in the area.

Great location, great facilities, great pool and swim up bar.

But the main gem of the hotel is the main pool and bar and especially the staff.

Main pool area was great with good service and a bar .

The bathroom in our villa did smell a bit musty

but somehow very slippery,  slipped a few times on the way to the bathroom.

Rooms are a decent size, we upgraded to the garden suite which had a bath and a very small “garden” with no space for seats or natural light.

Room and bathroom were on the smaller side

The Villa was in very poor condition, on arrival the towels in bathroom looked more like rags.

I give Astagina only four stars is due to some of the hotel facilities being a little bit faulty such as the shower pipes leaking water in areas it shouldn’t or the shower door not closing

but again a little shabby and the worst thing was the hot water did not come through for 10 minutes in the shower.

Some improvements/repairs need to be made to our 2 bedroom unit: gap in bathroom floor between shower and rest of bathroom looks like it needs a good bleach clean and possibly the shower also, the lounge is so uncomfortable and has a large cigarette burn on it - as it is white it is quite grubby, fan on verandah does not work, the kitchen needs a new tap - ours was rusty, loose and a little grungy.

but the bathroom was old and tired looking.

however dated and bathroom need a good scrub.

Only small negatives are that the pool area has little shade (needs bigger umbrellas), and our shower head sprayed water everywhere and soaked the bathroom floor.

The only reason for 4 stars is that there were ants in the room, the bathroom is pretty outdated and the aircon was super loud.

Our bedsheets had a few stains on them and our aircon started leaking a few days into our stay.

The bathrooms had quite a bit of water damage and the basin in our second room was badly cracked, the linen was old and badly needs updating.

After three days we ran out of toilet paper, they wanted to charge is for that, wanted fresh towels for our shower and they would only give us two

We booked different rooms for 2 nights, and unfortunately the toilets for both rooms were slightly outdated with both showers having poor water pressure and clogged sinks.

Tasty breakfast buffet (included in the cost), convenient location in walking distance to the beach yet set back so it’s a bit quieter, generously sized, spacious rooms, and friendly, attentive staff.

As it was clean, great pool areas and close to the beach.

The property itself is stunning - beautiful gardens and so peaceful and quiet despite only being a quick walk to anything you need.

If you bring family with children, this place is the answer as the family pool for children is nice with big garden.

I do really Like this Hotel, bcs all staff are welcome and polite, good swiming pool and Big Garden, Also the room Clean i stay in this hotel like home and i want to stay again next Holiday.

The gardens at Astagina are well cared for and the staff are so kind and always willing to help.

We can't fault this place,  gardens are gorgeous,  the smaller pool by the beer garden made for a great cool off dip.

The beer garden at night was very relaxing with decent music.

I would say the highlight of this hotel is the pool area and the pleasant gardens the hotel sits in.

On a positive note the beds were very comfortable, the pool and gardens are lovely ,breakfast and the food in general were very good and the staff are all lovely.

There is a smaller pool ideal for smaller kids near the beer garden.

Location was excellent, there are restaurants nearby, a beach nearby, and quite walkable to Seminyak area.

Check out da Marzanos nearby for great pizzas.

Welcome reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the nearby cafes, bars and restaurants of Legian.

There’s also a nearby Pool Club if you are looking for a great upbeat party ambiance.

For muslim travelers there are few Halal food nearby the hotel area that you can find.

Nearby you can find also shops, restaurants and the beach.

but there are places nearby that are good.

When we called maintenance, we realized that they have to turn the water off as the toilet and washing sink were leaking when water turned on and could be smelly from the drain.

They let you bring your own drinks and smoke by the pool

Not knowing what this was we accepted the offer to move then found we were actually no better off as it is just 2 single mattresses on the same base with a plank of timber down the middle.

Dirty water pool inside rooms and smelly inside rooms.

I wouldn't mind them drinking and smoking while sitting at the bar.

Let’s start with mould, that kills people everywhere.

Room: Dirty old bathroom that is literally rotting away with mould.

Rooms are getting a bit dated and could do with an overhaul, (bit of a musty smell

Downside: The shower grout and silicone was filthy and cobwebs were prevalent in many areas.

The bathrooms had mold around the shower and in the villa we were staying in the shower was covered in green slime and mold.

The negative the bathroom, amenity in the room are old and disgusting, I couldn't believe the bathrobe and mat are outdate.

The laundry service was terrible our clothes weren’t washed at all just smelt like fabric softener!

The property generally required maintenance the room air conditioner was never cleaned because of an odor and the

However, the curtains in our room (317) were filthy with fingermarks and stains all over them.

The shower was dirty and the window from the bathroom to the bedroom was mouldy.

but the bathroom was still grotty, wood units rotting slightly, very old fixtures.

I then explained to him all the issues we had with the room like the blocked drain and fault air con that we never bought to their attention

Two things which were annoying, the day beds where people placed their towels and left the hotel!

Three times we asked for towels to shower with since they took them away and didn't replace .

On arrival we were given a refreshing drink and nice cool towel and then we were taken to our room only to discover we had a king size bed when I had requested twin beds.

Find weird system of towel,  They keep account of each towel you use.

Towels & bed linen could do with being replaced/upgraded.

Attention to detail in room cleaning (no hand towels provided, the blind to cover the bathroom glass window was wet when drawn down and had mould on it)

So we assumed the guests would be back soon after leaving their towels there.

Before you were allowed to check out of your room, reception sent someone to your room to inspect it, the bedding, towels, bed and furniture, so that nothing had been damaged or stolen.

The towels are grey and like sandpaper and you dont get a hand towel, you have to ask for it.

so that you don’t damage the hotels bedding or towels as you will be charged.

That's all well and good so long as no one takes one of your towels.

One thing that was REALLY odd was that there were no face towels/washer/cloth or hand towels, so we had to use our towels to dry our hands etc, again not a huge issue

however, there was a bit of miscommunication with them regarding towels, other than that, we had a pleasant experience with them.

Strangely, the hotel doesn't provide hand or face towels.

She also assisted us with special requests such as extra towels, assisting us with the safe and also allowing me to use the pool services for the entire day after I had checked out on my last day and also arranged for me to be able to have a shower later that evening.

The bathroom in our room was a let down; bath towels were old and faded and we only ever got 2 at a time, we never had hand towels, the shower was over the bath and we had to hold the bathroom sink to steady ourselves as we climbed in and out as it was so pokey and cramped!Breakfast was alright, don’t bother getting it every day as there’s many cute cafes nearby you can check out

The resort itself is starting to show its age and could go with a little maintenance (eg the gazebo near the bigger pool has rotten timber around it, and the towels could be thrown away and new ones purchased.

On day 2 of our stay 3 towels (1x green Lacoste) we’re laid out unattended for 5 hours.

The kids are loving it and special shout out the the ladies in the kids club who always go above and beyond and Widi and Joni from the pool bar.

Nice location, beautifull hotel with kids club and i let my kids there for a day, well taken care by great and dedicated staff debby and diah who did an amazing job,my kids love to play there and begging to come back again, well recomended!! !

I really recommend this hotel to those who travelling with kids.. they have kids club, nice pool and good pool bar.

The kids club was a savior for me and I was able to leave my baby there for two hours and go for a massage at the spa.

Also great facilities for families and kids-kids club.

Kids club here is fantastic with a ball pit and other play things and activities all day.

The resort is family friendly with a kids club and children’s pool.

You could see and hear the fireworks probably from the beach club parties nearby.

The kids club is extremely convenient with its 2 hours free of charge every day.

A buggy service is really great for transporting you to the beach club and surrounding amenities.

but I assume that the Marriott is competing against all the beach clubs.

Kids also love the kids club and love Komang who accompanied them in kids club.

This hotel is very convenient, great ambience, great kids club, the food is delicious and the staff here are amazing!

The Marriott beach area is in the most prime area- we originally were going to check out some of beach clubs

The best thing about this resort is its location - it's very close to Double Six beach, and on the same street as the famous Bali Joe bar.

I want to particularly mention Joni, who worked two days at the beach site where guest have a secure location to enjoy swimming and surfing on the Double Six Beach.

Love this place much, the staff all very friendly , breakfast very good👋hotel near from double six beach only need 5-10 minute walk, room very clean, there are so many activities at kids club.. Around hotel so many good restaurant.

even though not on the beach, has a reserved spot with beach loungers bang on Double Six beach.

Stayed at this really great hotel close to double six beach in the heart of Seminyak.

There are shuttle services to a couple of more happening areas in Seminyak and there is private access to Double Six beach.

Hotel provides a free buggy ride to the double six beach where they have a private area with towels, water bottles and wifi.

Our kids used the kids club facility at the hotel for few days and they were more than happy to back to the kids club each day!

The upper level has the bar with a swim up pool section and the lower section has a shallower area for kids.

The mash potatoes were nice and kids burger too.

Hotel concierge organised us some great trips to the local temple and dance and to release baby turtles for an unbelievably decent price and driver even waited for the tickets for the dance for us while we explored the temple.

My daughter and I stayed for a week during which time we experienced wonderful staff, so willing to please.

I came with Family to celebrate my daughter birthday, thank you Yudi to welcome us so nice and make our plan here so good, and the food are still so nice even the pandemic,definetely will coming back again with another planning.

Great staff with amazingly friendly and caring service, especially Ms.  Chinta with her hospitality, also the staff who serve on the rooftop and the room cleaner's girl who have worked well and politely.. Don't hesitate to come back to stay here in the future..

while our friends watched our toddler for us.

There are 3 pools, one being the pool bar, normal pool and then a kids pool.

Kids are treated so beautifully by all the staff and other guests.

Another gesture that I would like to point out is when my family went for a jog, my mother was pretty short of breath upon entering the hotel lobby and the nearby security staff offered her a bottle of water.

Nearby Seminyak beach with the hotel also offering shuttle services and private beach area for hotel guests.

A short walk to the beach, supermarket across the road, loads of bars nearby.

Courtesy bus and taxis always nearby to get you around.

One last shout of is to Roger at the Concierge who was always welcoming, and recommending restaurants and spa's nearby!

Short walk ( of golf cart transfer) to the part of the beach which the hotel occupies ( its 5 min walk to beach 10 to the hotel bit) and lots of restaurants and some bars on the road nearby to eat out.

Location was good, plenty of shopping, entertainment, restaurants, mini marts nearby.

Lots of bars and restaurants nearby - good for nightlife and party goers.

An on demand shuttle service to nearby activity precincts and private beach further consolidated the 5 star experience.

however free shuttle was offered for a nearby beach facility with beds and WiFi, shower on offer.

Within easy walking distance to the beach and there were many eating places nearby as well as a small supermarket..

Staff were friendly, English spoken was good.Location is a few hundred metres from the beach with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

Location is nearby to the beach by 5 minutes walk or you can use golf cart to take you to some tourist points at Seminyak.
