Service was excellent and the suite upon arrival was very clean.

This is the best hotel in Ottawa due to a superb staff, clean and spacious rooms, and a fantastic central location.

The room is clean and with everything that I need.

The front desk staff and manager Abdul were helpful, polite and kept things running smoothly and ensured things were neat and covid-safe.

Accommodations were clean, suitable to us and we were happy

As many have said, it's simply not clean.

Throughout this period of COVID they have taken great effort to ensure guest safety, cleanliness of the room and deliver any items required promptly to your room and with a smile as they are not able to enter rooms during your stay.

but it's always been clean and quiet, the staff is very pleasant and helpful, and the suites are comfortable with kitchens and separate bedrooms.

Everyone was friendly, hotel was clean, hotel has a great location with so many thing to see and do.

but we were charged $290 for just Saturday.

We has small misunderstanding in the beginning, as our European bank card was not recognized in the beginning,

Pool hours were very limited--only 10 am to 9 pm despite key cards and the elevator signs saying longer.

When I saw the $718 charge on my card for one night, I called them.

Make sure you have ample space On your Credit card for the deposit.a lot of people have low limits.

Receptionist gave us grief for waving to get past the key card activated sliding door to lobby.

For security, you need to swipe your room card to enter the lobby, and then again to access your floor from the elevator.

While they charged $150/night, the stay was very unsatisfactory.

Location excellent
I was on business and needed my invoice broken down by specific days.

but their is no clear direction back to the hotel and we were not told to keep our key cards.

Parking is a bit of an issue the key cards rarely work and it’s small and vey tight for bigger vehicles,

Also they charged me $40 for a late check out.

Only drawback is the had no EV charger so I had to go elsewhere to charge and pay parking twice.

The attendant put a hold of 150$ on my credit card for incidentals.

The bill had a additional charge of $50 for our dog.

but you have to go downstairs to pay by card and collect your food - no other food options are available at the hotel however it is walking distance to several other options.

The only mildly disappointing thing, was that meals from the "on-site" restaurant could not be charged to the room.

A security card is required to drive in and out of the garage,

Location near the ByWard market and the Rideau Center is very convenient---with both nice restaurants and great places to get food for meals.

This hotel is an a fantastic location, and walking distance to anywhere!

Booked this location for a 5 day stay because of the two bedroom suite.

The biggest selling point for Les Suites is location,

Location had lots of homeless people and mentally unstable people interactions that made you feel a bit unsafe.

but the staff was helpful and we got it solved, 
The location is really good, right next to Rideau Center that has lots of stores, and 5 minute walk to Bytown market with restaurants.

The location is a few minutes walk from all downtown attractions and business.

We walked to most of our destinations from our convenient downtown location.

Mike was so helpful throughout the booking process to accommodate our families needs for room location and space.

Excellent location, walkable to Parliament, museums, art galleries, and a metro stop that takes you to the train station.

The rooms are spacious and Les Suites is located steps away from the Byward Market and so many other museums and  attractions.

The location couldn't be better and it is walking distance to all the excellent tourist sites, restaurants and shopping!

underground attached parking was $28/night stay and the location proximity to the byward market and the parliament buildings were also reasons for choosing this suite or shall i say sweet property.

This hotel is in a great location that makes walking easy for the whole family.

We enjoyed our stay at Les Suites Hotel Ottawa, which is conveniently located downtown, walking distance to uOttawa, the Rideau Center, the Byward Market and Parliament Hill.

Besides above experience, there are some good things about this hotel that I think worth mentioning, like great location, pet friendly and spacious room.

It's conveniently located to downtown and the Bytown Market.

but the hotel is so close to Byward Market, Rideau Centre, Parliament Hill, National Art Gallery and virtually everything in downtown.

Best 2 days, the kids loved it, having their own separate beds in the family suite, going to the pool, very close to the market, where you will find the best restaurants.

It would be hard to get a better location for accessing the market and Rideau Centre

While the hotel is close to the Byward Market, most everything else - such as groceries, restaurants, Shopper's Drug Mart, etc., are all in close proximity to the hotel.

There are lots of restaurants to choose from in the Byward Market area, and the Rideau Centre is right next door, where we got takeout one night to relax in our suite and watch the hockey game.

but everything was so close, we could go out for breakfast, walk in the market and go sit in the parks all close to the hotel!

The location was right next to the Rideau Center and a 2 minute walk from the Byward market, which had tons of restaurants, shops and attractions.

Half a block away from Byward  market and the Rideau Centre .

This hotel is located just minutes from the Market where you can find a variety of quaint shops and restaurants.

Very conveniently located to Byward Market, the Rideau shopping centre, Ottawa University, and Parliament Hill.

The location is convenient to the Byward Market, Rideau Centre and Parliament Hill.

Located just behind the Rideau centre, close to the byward market, short walk to parliament hill, easy walk to Sparks sreet.

We took a train from Toronto and got in late at night, my first experience at the Hotel was being locked out on the side walk in a sketchy neighborhood .

Waited 20 mins to check in with only 2 people ahead, wasn't given a parking key

but the kids were now highly annoyed and BOLDLY asked if there was a problem, they said no and the kids proceeded to the room which they had their keys.

Three times the card was brought to the front desk before we got into our suite when the maintenance person used an old school key to get into the room.

If you are parking there, check in first so you can have the key card to open the garage door.

After a couple of hours of trying everything we could think of (including having my father picked up in a cab so he could bring us a needed spare key), they arranged a cab home for us and allowed us to leave the car overnight so it could be towed the following day.

Passed me a new keycard without a word of apology.

My coworker had issues with her room key not letting her in  her room more than once (which was frustrating for her)

When I arrived there where about 5 people ahead of me in line to check in with 1 'unfriendly' front desk man 'doing his job', which took over a half hour to get my room key.

Is this how you deal with people who have lost room keys?

The elevator was PAINFULLY slow and the key card lock for the stairs was broken.

but you must be careful returning as you can end up in the hallways of a different apartment building and there is no way of getting back as it doesn't recognize your key.

but the door was locked and should be childproof.

I inspected the patio door and other windows and found similar issues, some could be deliberately locked securely and some were either too Ill fitting or damaged to lock (I'm a fit 6'2", 225lbs).

The carpets were completely stained, the room smelled very musty and the 100 year old furniture smelled so bad that I did not want to sit on it.

but we likely won’t return to this hotel because the musty smell in the room was overwhelming.

The carpet in our room was extremely stained and worn out, the whole room smelled very musty, old and almost like it used to be a smoking room.

The room smells musty the minute you open the door.

Appliances are antique coffee in the room is disgusting had to call for house coats.on check out staff at the counter were clueless on how to refund your 250.00 deposit.

The room smelled like there had been a recent fire, and wasn't exactly the cleanest (found gum stuck everywhere and pistachio shells in the carpets, etc).

Very disappointed with the stale smell in the room, the urine mark on the toilet seat upon entry, and the very loud hallways.

but the room smelled old and like it used to be a smoking room and the carpets never got replaced.

but felt the room odor indicated time for a change.

Also there was a bad smell in the room. .

My room was older decor and a colleagues room smelled of stale smoke.

The second room had a patio, great except someone had CLEARLY been smoking in the room, it stank..

Upon arrival we entered our room to a smell the on duty manager was right on it tried to resolve the issue.

The room smelled very musty and the carpet was disgusting.

Our first room had an odour that I couldn't handle.

The room smelled of the previous guests cooking for our entire stay, despite housekeeping's attempt to remove the odour).

It is literally the hardest thing I've ever slept on - the floor wouldn't be worse.

People talking loudly on the balcony all night and traffic noise was enough that I didn't sleep much and ended up switching to the nearby Westin to finish my work trip.

After checking in we were relieved that the foldout bed wasn't broken (sinking in the middle, making a good night's sleep impossible the last time we stayed here).

There was 4 adults sharing, 2 adults sleep on the sofa bed

We did find it noisy as far as the traffic and city noises especially when sleeping.

My grown son took all the sofa and chair cushions and slept on those for 3 nights. A dog wouldn't want to sleep on that "mattress."

The only downside is the traffic noises when you are trying to sleep,

The room is also a little out dated and the first night we didn’t sleep very well because our bed didn’t have a cross bar for support.

You cannot sleep two people in the double bed - you sag together in the middle.

I couldn't get the windows to open and it was way too hot to sleep comfortably in, despite my turning down the thermostat.

We were only in the room to sleep and shower .

but it's still a pain in the butt
2) the beds are not comfortable at all - could be just not what we're used to, but we had a hard time getting a decent nights sleep
3) parking is $28 + tax per night?!?!

Even wearing a sleep mask doesn't help—the room is just ridiculously bright.

but it was very expensive, Had to sleep on the floor since we ere 4 guests.

Renovation on the corridor wall woke us at 9 AM on a Saturday morning.

I was unable to get back to sleep, so I fretted for a few hours and then finally got up.

Before I went to sleep at night, I actually checked my credit card bill to make sure the price I paid was the price I thought I was paying.

Just returned from eight nights at the Ottawa Suites.

The suites are so spacious, and it is amazing to have that space with teenagers (and two bathrooms!!!).

The suite was very big and comfortable, the lactation is very good and we had a good price.

My family of six stayed in a two bedroom suite at Les Suites and could not have asked for more.

For a family, the suites are very spacious and comfortable.

We spent one week in Ottawa with a friend/coworker and two bedroom suite (with two bathrooms) was perfect for us.

It was a very comfortable room and bed, and the suite had a lovely view.

We stayed in a 2-room suite with our kids for 4 days.

We had a 2 bedroom suite for both sides of the grandparents and our family of 4 had a beautiful huge 1 bedroom suite.

Stayed as a family in a two bedroom suite.

We were upgraded for free to a larger suite as they oversold the size we booked.

As a couple, we always book the King Suite.

We had an amazing suite and an amazing view.

The beds, including the pull-out couch, are comfortable.

The location can’t be beat, you’re 2 minutes away from Parliament Hill, 5 minutes away from ByWard Market, and directly connected to Rideau Centre (via level 3).

It's just unfortunate because we visit often and the location is Great.

Location is top, service was very good and rooms are clean.

Other notable pluses:
-located adjacent to the Rideau Shopping Centre
-less than a 5-minute walk to the Byward Market for dining & shopping
-adjacent to the Rideau Canal
-Parliament Buildings, Confederation Square within a 10-minute walk

although with an excellent health club open 24/7 and a premier location in the city overlooking the Parliament buildings and offering indoor access to the Rideau Centre Mall.

Beds are very comfortable and location in the City was very convenient.

The Hotel is located adjacent to the Rideau Shopping Center and a short walk to the Byward Market, so shopping for what ever you might need is ready at hand.

but we got a good spot and because the location we did not need to move our car at all.

The location was ammazing as it was within walking distance to tourist attractions.

At the end of this, despite the location, I will not book here again.

Central location, great views of the Rideau Canal, Parliament building and Château Laurier.

The hotel is in a great location and perfect for this visit when I was visiting my niece who attends U of Ottawa.

I cannot think of one redeeming quality about this hotel besides the location.

The hotel is located downtown, excellent location.

It is a shame that such a great location is being wasted.

It is beside the Rideau canal, short walk to the Byward market, restaurants and the Parliament buildings.

It was a nice double corner room on the 9th floor with a lovely view looking north to the Byward Market and east to Rideau Centre.

Elite location in downtown Ottawa, direct connection to the mall which is nice in the winter and literally a 3 minute walk to Byward Market.

The location is perfect having the Rideau Centre mall next door and being just a couple of minutes walk from the Parliament Hill, ByWard Market and other amenities.

It is within 5 mins walk to Byward market and the Parliament.

The Westin arguably has the best location in the city, so it was easy to go out for walks, access the Rideau Centre, walk around Parliament Hill and go out for drinks and dinner in the Byward Market.

Plenty of restaurants ,shops and the market nearby as well.A car is not required..But if you have one you can park at Rideau Centre( shopping mall).Less expensive.The whole staff did a great job!

If you’re wanting a place close to By Ward market, this is it.

You can also walk across the street and be in the Market; a main area in downtown Ottawa with restaurants and pubs.

The location is great for Market and canal access (when the canal is open).

From there you can wander around the Byward Market with it’s abundant selection of fine restaurants.

We hope to return to Westin Ottawa when the weather is warmer!

The hotel is well situated, close to the market and the National Gallery which we enjoyed tremendously.

Also close to the Parliament buildings, canal, Byward market.

Right in the middle of everything, close to the Market and close to parliament.

Within walking distance of so much: Byward Market, Parliament, Sparks Street, downtown, etc.

Located next to the Rideau Centre and close to many restaurants in the by-ward market, you can't beat this place.

The staff were excellent and the food was good

The lettuce in the both our salad that were included with the salmon bagel was rotten throughout as well.

And I must add we were also given three free breakfasts for two at the hotel restaurant.

Note that some streets outside the tourism area may be sketchy at night

We both really enjoyed it and it kept us full all day so we skipped lunch.

but there is a Milestones restaurant across the street that did good takeout, and the nearby Bottega Nicastro has fab, inexpensive sandwiches.

Due to Covid, we ordered in food a couple times rather than eating out.

We turned the room chairs towards the windows and sat with breakfast and meals enjoying the view of downtown Ottawa and Canada's Parliament buildings.

I didn't know what time checkout was or that the restaurant was only open on weekends and the Daly Express is ok

The next morning we went to have breakfast with our voucher and the restaurant was closed.

Other guests were also surprised that the restaurant was closed.

but the hotel did the best they could with room service options.

Enjoyed the Starbucks location in the hotel and their morning food availability.

Although at the time, the hotel restaurants and room service were not available, a weekend-only Starbucks coffee/breakfast bar was open and the hostess was very welcoming.

We used points and stayed two nights in a room with a view of Parliament Hill.

We thought that getting a room at The Westin Ottawa would give us and the bachelorette a luxury feel.

She also found us rooms overlooking the Parliament Buildings.

The hotel itself is fine; the room clean.

The only reason I’m giving this hotel three stars is because the room I was in was comfortable and clean.

Service was top notch, check-in was fast, room was ready, cleaning was spotless, food was excellent (breakfast buffet).

I appreciated the upgrade to the larger 2 bed room which was spacious and comfortable.

Stayed at the Westin for a work trip in a Deluxe room with a view of Parliament.

We kindly requested plates and utensils to the room.

Our room was very spacious with a great view.

Booked a premium guest room at The Westin Ottawa for a vacation.

Lots of room amenities seemed to be missing (e.g., pens, notepad, and information booklet).

No maid service, rooms were not to be cleaned, no replacement of towels/coffee etc., no garbage/recycling removal.

Breakfast was excellent. However hotel looks tired (above all bathroom is not acceptable) and elevators are painstakingly slow (this needs to be tackled)

Elevators were slow and limiting due to space / occupancy restrictions.

While check-in was extremely slow, I expected it.

They were very slow and every time they come they’ll be full of people we waited for 25 minutes!!

I have to say, being on the 21st floor we figured the elevators would be slow

In person check out to get my green credits was slow with only one and then 2 people at the front desk.

The check-in on Saturday afternoon was a slow moving disaster, compounded by not enough staff, computers slow to boot up, and staff who would rather let the line grow rather than quickly and efficiently letting people into their rooms. .
