We booked The Level all inclusive which i would definitely recommend.

Kids club is the best in Bali, close to pool/beach/bar so you can relax and your kids are not far away.

Beautiful Resort and Beautiful Staff, Would recommend the All inclusive option for a Sybaritic vacation that will find you enjoying a relaxed and indulgent break from the real world in as hedonistic a fashion as your heart desires.

We had booked the level junior suites and had all inclusive which i would recommend.

There’s also an all inclusive option which we didn’t try so keep our options open to explore the area and our kids aren’t big eaters.

Gede especially was very fun and inclusive.

The villas are amazing, worth upgrading to the level for the private beach and all inclusive makes it even better.

We had the all inclusive package, which was so hard to choose from all the amazing options.

If you stay here it’s worth considering all inclusive rather than pay the exorbitant prices - or eat out at local eateries which are considerably better value.

My friend and I bought the all inclusive package to celebrate her birthday and we loved this resort!

The all-inclusive package was definitely worth the money and there were many options to choose from.

Make sure your stay includes  all inclusive and take advantage of the complementary trip to Uluwatu temple with Soma and his ukelele.

All inclusive: a carefree and excellent choice with, according to our opinion, value for money.

We weren’t all inclusive so just had breakfast included, it was delicious with choices from pastries to curries to Indonesian classics, full English, every type of egg, cereals, fruit (a little tasteless), pancakes even a chocolate fountain!

We stayed for 14 nights on the all inclusive with our children aged 5 and 9.

The stuff was also really helpful and friendly, while the location is perfect in a nice neighborhood with shops and restaurants in a walking distance

They were so professional, attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is a safe 15 minute walk to other bars and restaurants in Nusa Dua which were also nice and very friendly.

If you would like a resort that offers everything plus more in a tranquil relaxed environment with friendly nothing is a problem positive staff attitude I would recommend booking Melia Bali.

The gardens and whole complex was beautiful and a pleasure to walk around.

The gardens at the hotel along with general areas were superb, very clean and welcoming.

The villa had a private pool, large garden area, different chill-out lounges and a very spacious bedroom.

The cleanliness, hospitality, location of the hotel, beach water quality, water activities, privacy, quality of the food and beverage selections, the accessibility  of the facilities, variety of activities including for the kids, the gardens, and other amenities.

The big tropical gardens,  the pools, the squirrels coming up to the 4th floor during the day set a magic scenery.

The entrance, gardens, beach, pool, staff were all outstanding, the food could be improved a little

I had a great time there espacially in the gym with a trai er called  adrian he helped me with my boxing  and he Was very nice the food was great too 5 out of 5 Stars the pool was a Highlight too and the garden was beautifull

We had a fantastic stay and our garden view room was kept perfectly by the team with special mention to Elly who was super helpful during our stay.

The hotel was great with very mature gardens right on the beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in “the level garden villa”.

The positives: it’s situated on a really nice beach and the gardens and common areas are lovely.

The garden is beautiful, and the pool is great for kids with lots of things to do and explore and there are many activities around that area every day for both young and old.

The gardens and grounds are stunning, and there’s been many updates and renovation works in the last few years to the hotel.

We enjoy the lovely view from the rooms, the beautiful gardens including the ducks!, the tasty food and relaxing atmosphere….but most of all it’s the Staff that make this hotel so enjoyable.

Traditional Balinese feel on entry into foyer, lovely staff, beautiful gardens and old school Bali feel hotel.

Pros: beautiful old hotel with amazing gardens, ponds.

The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed the daily activities including the bike tour, yoga, Pilates, water stretching and water aerobics and my teenage boys really enjoyed the pool volleyball, waterpolo and basketball.

The kids club were great with good feedback from all the kids we saw.

It’s great for couple, families, families with kids and just to R&R and rejuvenate.

but you are able to send younger children with a nanny.

The pool areas are superb as is the beach, the entertainment on an evening was good and there always seemed to be something on for children of all ages .

Meliã Bali is a great hotel for families because it includes a kids club and a massive pool that is shared by everyone.

The elements that push the score high are the pool, surrounding cafe, bar and childrens club ( this is excellent, best I have experienced so far in Bali).

Me my wife and my two boys have been overwhelmed by the property and by the fantastic service!

Staff were welcoming and helpful, great kids meals available especially for fussy eaters.

My son was poorly and the hotel had an on site doctor (payable) that we appreciated.

Myself and 2 daughters had a lagoon access room which was great for the girls!

Great job boys, we really appreciated the service you gave us and always with a smile.

We hired Dani to babysit her in the kids club (children under 4 need a seperate babysitter) and my daughter adored her so much she kept wanting to go back!

Cendana, Syaqui and Yudi from the El patio restaurant are amazing people that deserve huge credit for making my daughters birthday amazing with help organising a cake and surprises.

Coffee shop was great, April went out of her way to make us feel welcome, beautiful girl.

The hotel provide free bikes to use for us to cycle along the beautiful Nusa Dua beach.

It is located on the shore line and one can take walks on the beautiful Nusa Dua beach.

Great hotel on Nusa Dua beach Bali, cool location, tasty food, friendly staff, relaxing, soft and comfortable beach sofas, clean territory and cold drinks make your day wonderful.

Hotel is amazing, right next to Nusa Dua Beach with plenty of activities for kids and adults alike.

The set up at Nusa Dua beach hotel was better.

The Melia is situated along the shore line with other 5 star hotels, these are the Laguna Resort, Westin Resort, Nusa Dua Beach resort, Sofitel Beach Resort and Club Med Bali, all these hotels are linked by an ocean facing walkway, which made for lovely walks in the evening or the morning.

There are no bread selections like the others hotels, rye, sourdough, baguette, etc.. it’s just plain sliced bread which is pretty poor and a few rolls.

Furthermore poor service at the pool ( my order never arrived) and at breakfast ( table was not cleaned, no coffee served) chaotic and not organised!

Coffee v poor (yet good at the coffee shop… at extra cost).

Great staff great service- poor poor food  at nearly $600 a day all inclusive at the level aud  disgusting food standard!

The service was really poor, could wait up to an hour for a can coke or sprite, food could take over hour, so make sure you are not hungry when you order.

Guest relations manager very unsympathetic,  only offered a foot massage and a day at the 'exclusive' pool with a poor drinks service.

Apart from that, everything else were quite standard, to poor at some degrees.

however had poor water pressure which made the monsoon shower head practically unusable, so we would use the handheld shower head that was inconveniently located at chest height.

From their it went downhill and it was hard to recover from the poor service we experienced.

but was let down by poor choice and poor service in the restaurants and on the beach front deck area.

Apart from the Breakfast buffet, all other foods and drinks were over priced and very poor quality and extremely small serves.

We also consider the options we had in coctails very poor for a 5* hotel

At breakfast and prior to my initial review the service was poor.

I would have to say the rooms were very poor when compared to other 5 star hotels in the same price bracket.

The food and drink was really overpriced and poor quality.

My boy would have attacked the poor monkeys.. hahah

7 - Location - You can`t go wrong.

The bathroom in particular was disappointing mainly due to a poor shower.

My only negative was the spa, very poor quality of treatments, room was too bright, no blinds or candles which is the niceness of doing hotel spas and freezing!

the prices for lunch or dinner are  expensive compared to other restaurants.

The Dinner-Restaurants are very expensive, easily 30-50 just for food.

Tip - 1: food and drink prices are high, Australian prices plus, so unless you eat and drink like a sparrow, the ALL INCLUSIVE option is essential.

Cons - Everything was so expensive inside the hotel.

If your a couple don’t stay here, the place is jam packed with screaming kids and I even paid an extra $1250 to move room for peace and quiet.

although their occupancy rate was high, it didn't feel like there were heaps of people around.

that said, food was super expensive so we ate out mostly and only used room service when we stayed in when my son was poorly.

but a massive scrum - and everything was very expensive and just not great.

Avoid Meliá, avoid the cost especially when you could get a much nicer, less crowded resort!

I would rather pay for all meals /drinks than be tricked into this non existent service that  was appalling and lacking in most areas, you would think that especially after not having tourism for almost 3 years that they would be very keen to do business, not ensure that you don’t ever want to return.

but as we weren’t all inclusive we found it overpriced at approx.

Beware: the food and drink is VERY expensive even by Bali standards.

The 5 restaurants are a bit pricey for the quality.

Local business will pick you up from the hotel and drop you back at no additional cost.

Sad… mainly because it means you have to eat overpriced food in the restaurant.

but only book the more expensive rooms such as lagoon suites but more likely the villas.

The restaurants were very overpriced for the quite basic meals offered.

Not a lot of activities or experiences available except for kids activities and everything costs extra.

Highly recommend getting the all inclusive package, as food and drinks are a bit pricey.

Over priced for what is offered, cannot get into any restaurant unless you book at least 2 days in advance, we at at the Seranto restaurant it was good

Room: looks 30 years old, it smells disgusting, noisy.

"In the Muay Thay and/or Martial Arts disciplines, it does not stop, follow the flow like the river, adapt, it is governed by virtues to be exploited, such as Patience, homeostasis, balance and / or balance, achieving self-healing, focus and Focuses you on your inner Self and the environment, creating a bond Analyze the environment, gestures, calm your soul, your breathing, your heart, slow down your metabolism, breathe, fast, always defend and attack if necessary with wisdom . .

To top it all off, whilst sitting to lunch service this afternoon, the hotel have arranged for poison to be sprayed around the patio area which is incredibly strong smelling and clearly harmful in nature given the PPE the operative is wearing.

Water aerobics also started at 10am in the swimming pool, if you like watching over weight middle aged women praying to burn a calorie straight after their 8th plate at the breakfast buffet then this is the place for you.

Considering they have been shut down with no occupants for over 2 years they are in good condition, there is a bit of work that could be done on the wood work and there was a slight smell of damp

The hotel could do with some modernisation in respect to the rooms as we did feel that they were a bit outdated and initially had a musky smell which can be off putting until the room gets a good airing.

I wish they would do like for smoker rooms: on smaller room for people that need to eat in a fridge atmosphere … and It would also be much better on a ecological point of view ..

The bathroom sink has a bad smell coming out of it.

The guy who supposed to get back to me passed by and didn’t even tell them that it’s a non-smoking area.

As a result everything felt damp and in the morning the floor was so humid it was slippery.

The room was an old room, smelly and we spent 3 nights

Bad points:
All 4 rooms we were shown had a damp musty smell.

The hotel room we stayed at was abnormally moist, cold and smelled badly - we  had difficulties to fall asleep under such conditions.

This meant that a couple of times we had our neighbour’s smoke smell coming in,

Smoking areas are not properly designated.

From the airport pick up, till the room check-in, the staffs are very helpful and friendly.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are friendly and accommodating.

Nothing was too much bother for the staff who were polite, friendly and very efficient.

The staff, from front desk to maintenance were all super friendly.

The staff are so friendly and helpful special shout out to Ms Ari she is amazing.

Friendly and efficient staff, good buffet, the excellent Italian restaurant (with live musicians), very good rooms and located next to the beach, great bars and a myriad of high-quality spa massages.

..staff are so professional friendly and talented with their treatments.

I will say the front desk staff was definitely not as friendly as the previous two hotels we stayed at.

We stayed for ten days and found that the staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful.

There are several restaurants across the road, we ate at Mr Bobs Bar and Grill a few times, the waitress Kriss was so lovely, she was very efficient and just such a friendly soul.

but here I did as I could create a very healthy option - the staff so friendly and really happy to chat.

Its further down the beach in Benoa where the ocean is very average in comparison to Nusa Dua Beach.

The best part about the room was the balcony which gave a sweeping view of the Nusa Dua beach.

Hotel's location is great, just 20 minutes or so from the airport and there is a free shuttle service which runs to Nusa Dua beach.

We were having a honeymoon in bali searching a hotel is near to Nusa Dua beach for water activities,

The nusa dua beach grill is near geger past the humongous mulia  hotel with great food beach view and they pick you up and drop you off for free.

Aston is at Benoa beach, sort of an extension of Nusa Dua beach which is more on the quiet side.

I phoned Wotif and they worked for two days to move us and they were able to get us a room at the Nusa Dua Beach Resort & Spa.

We also had easy access to water sports in Nusa Dua beach area

The maintenance of the grounds and pool area was undertaken daily, even scooping up the Frangipani flowers multiple times a day.

The cleaning was immaculate throughout the hotel and the surroundings and pool area were pleasant.

The pool area was very well maintained as are the grounds.

The pool area is lovely overlooking the private beach.

We booked 2 rooms with connecting door,check in process was fast,staff is good at their job.welcome drink.. yes.. they gave you.room is spacious,clean towel,clean bathroom,breakfast was great.. a alot of variety food,asian food,western food its all great.but please dont buy cocktail in pool area.. the taste was poor.they said it pinacolada..

The gardens and pool area  are also really well maintained and the pool is fine

The hotel has a beautifull outdoor view, especially at the swimming pool area that connected directly to the beach area.

Have been to Bali few times before so not surprised by the friendlyness and professionalism of our Hotel staff.While slightly dated pool area needs a bit of maintenance.Loacation superb few steps to the ocean attentive and polite at all times.Would certainly recommend

In general it was very very clean and a stones through from the edge of the pool area.

This resort offers a gorgeous beach and pool area adjacent to each other, with a swim up bar.

The pool area is very spacious with plenty of beds to go around and it is right on the beach which offers a lovely view point.

The separate bath/shower was always a big plus for me

Watching the kites fly bys while sitting in the ocean pool was a relaxation dream I came to Bali for.

We were offered an upgrade at check-in to rooms 330 & 332 which had excellent views of  the ocean and pool.

Nice to have choice of swimming in pool and sea!

Our room was in the 4th floor viewed with view to the pool and sea.

It was so spacious with floor to ceiling windows facing the pool and ocean.

Very spacious with huge king bed , balcony over looking the pool and ocean and bathroom with great heat and pressure in the shower.

If you don’t want a view of the building site next door then I would upgrade to a pool view, especially if you like to relax on the balcony and take in the view.

One ocean front suite, one facing pool and ocean view and one garden view.

.great food (especially the eggs done any which way you want) and an amazing view of the pool with the ocean in the background.

We had a garden view room which allows u to also see the pool and the ocean it is breath taking.

On arrival at the hotel we checked into our Garden Deluxe Room, the room was clean, neat with a beautiful view of the Garden, pool and Sea.

We had a standard deluxe garden room and it was exquisite overlooking the pool.

but the ocean and pool views are excellent.

Beautiful big balcony with a stunning view of the pool, garden and the beach.

room and bathroom were huge, with a lovely balcony with view off pool and beach.

The gym was well equipped with big windows facing the pool and ocean.

My sister and I stayed at the Grand Aston in July checking in was excellent and we were taken to our room and given all the information we needed 
Our room 326 had a lovely view of the sea and pool ,beds comfy and a lovely bath.

Ocean and pool facing rooms are comfotable and suitable to see sunrise.

We had a lovely view of the pool and beach though.

I asked for another one if there is one available, and they gave me a really nice and bright one, overlooking the pool and the ocean.

The Bad:
Beach is gross, SO much rubbish, smelly,
A massive old rusty abandoned boat on shore to the right of hotel.

Were given a room with bad moisture and damp smell on second floor

.room dark no natural light which accounts for dampness and smell.

The toilet was another matter, it seemed to smell every time it was used.

- the room smelled really damp and the whole building felt badly ventilated, the building is quit old and that’s noticeable, the rooms would need a thorough cleaning.
