After 30+ visits to Bali over several years, and staying a several different locations on the island, The Westin (Nusa Dua) easily is my top recommendation to stay.

We had one of the best  wellness session in Bali, the atmosphere is wonderful with nice green garden, and the guidance from Master Jitendra.

Thank you for our practice and very helpful recommendations.

They could take advise from small cafes in seminyak who were amazing.

but also with the recommendations for things to do and unique local perspectives.

Firstly the person checked us in (didn’t catch the name), Aqung and Andra from concierge, who provided great recommendations and always checks up if everything went well on our day trip.

From recommendations of friends, we decided to give the Westin a go, and we were wonderfully impressed.

She provided us with advice for locations to visit & went out of her way to make sure we were being looked after.

Getting to the hotel: we pre-arranged a car service (Bagus Tour Service - see my other review) based upon a recommendation from a friend.

The staff was extremely courteous and friendly, eager to help and offer good advice on things to do around.

The children loved the kids club and the many offerings.

The kids club itself are so much like a fun school, kids will love it.

Really excited about the Westin Kids Club after checking out the amenities.

My children love the pools, beach and the kids club.

The true heroes of our holiday were all the ladies in the AMAZING kids club.

Westin came highly recommended by all the parent forums for its great kids club and 5 star experience.

The kids loved the kids club and all the different activities as well as daily free ice creams.

Well the resort does not have a club lounge, they do have a lovely hi tea and a  “managers welcoming gathering” with wine and beer which is very pleasant.

She also loved kids spa and kids club, she didn’t want to leave!

Kids Club - our 4 yo wanted to stay at kids club all day and not be with us near the pool.

Our little
one (4yo) says kids club was the best part of
his stay.

The kids club is excellent and really child friendly.the facilities and restaurants are really good.

And the highlight of this stay was; The Westin Family Kids Club!

Especially with our 2.5 year old boy:

---- great kids club with plenty of activities supervised by the kids club staff.

The kids club was great and our kids enjoyed playing the games and also the small animals there.

My son loves the kids club, there’re indoor and outdoour playground.

Such a memorable experience in Westin Nusa Dua kids club.

Loved the evening beach walk and we pass a lot of other resorts like Melia from 1 end to Club med which is at the other end.

Everyone at the reception, their restaurant staff, housekeeping and sports and kids club attendants, travel desk guys are all always going out of their ways to make your experience better and better.

We celebrated my son's birthday in the resort and the staff did a excellent job in the decor and arrangements.

The hotel itself offers diverse facilities for kids, which is very useful when coming with kids on holiday.

The room is beautiful and clean, the facilities also quite complete for children. .

With kids  this made it a lot easier for us.

Our kids 5 and 2 years felt truly excited to be at the hotel and didn't miss having to go out much as there was so much going on at the hotel.

The staff always remember my childrens names which is so special.

This property has several pools, so your kids will love it; one of them is also salted water.

Just returned from 13 days at the Westin, a family of 3 with one son aged 6.

Got to the resort around 9pm at night if not a little later, checkin was a breeze, the bell boy took our luggage to the room and showed us the important stuff.

We stayed here for 2 night with my lovely wife and daughter in my hard time.

I’m out travelling since 15th April, ( that’s 9days now) with my kids and husband.

Our kids Emil and David often talks about time in Westin Nusa Dua.

The staffs were very friendly and kindly cared my kids.

The location, amenities , hospitality of the staff, spa on the beach are excellent…actually I got a fridge magnet in Ubud with the exact picture of the private beach of Westin…so in short westin defines nusa dua beach….

Being right next to nusa dua beach is definitely a plus.

We really enjoyed biking especially in the early morning and in the afternoon, using the narrow bike path behind the hotel, where we passed through many beautiful hotels stretching from Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort to Ayodya Resort Bali.

You can jog and bike (the hotel has bicycles that you can use) along the track which stretches along the Nusa Dua beach up to Pantai Geger.

Love the warm and welcoming hospitality and all of their services, my favorite part from this Westin resort was their room and the view of Nusa Dua beach infront of their restaurant.

The location of the Westin Resort is along with the Nusa Dua beach and very close to the Nusa Dua Peninsula where the Water Blow attraction is located.

I would recommend going to the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel next door (very short walk) to try their breakfast.

Nice jogging track along Nusa Dua beach up to the amazing Waterblow by the cliff.

Also special mention to the wonderful and jolly natured Andik at the gorgeous Ikan restaurant where we celebrated my birthday dinner by the beautiful Nusa Dua beach.. he took exceptionally good care of us and served us the most exquisite delicacies from the sea.

Located right on the Nusa Dua beach this property is a real relaxation point.

Comparing to the other resorts along the Nusa Dua beach I think The Westin has the best lounges and seats.

Never thought this hotel will end up as a wonderful journey ever

My friend and I really enjoy the relaxing Nusa dua beach, wide variety breakfast at Seasonal Tastes and not forget to mention the great service from the staff!

Westin is located exactly on the best part of Nusa Dua beach, where the ocean is more colourful and there is more sand to walk and play.

Westin resort is right at Nusa Dua beach with its own private beach for the guests.

The hotel is in a fabulous location right on gorgeous Nusa Dua beach and within walking distance to the Bali Collection.

but you are also walking distance to a great selection of 5* dining areas along Nusa Dua beach.

The hotel is massive and on the best part of the Nusa Dua beach.

The main pool area is big and beautiful and backs onto Nusa Dua beach.

The rooms are spacious and have plenty of luggage and wardrobe space (often lacking in other hotels) We loved the direct beach access and the cycle path along Nusa Dua beach font from the hotel is a fun family activity.

Last time we were here was 2018,
At that time there were a lot of tourists from China, they were always loud and smoking and spitting in the pool.

The worst part was when we finally got our room and laid down, one of the bed had urine odors at least on the duvet.

Service sucks, no lifeguard on duty at the pool (5 star hotel) no towels,, pools stinks, our fridge broke down, The food is medicore, and the best one is they charge 50k rupiah just to “borrow”cutleries and plate.

First the refrigerator is smelly and not cold.

room bad smell, I advice if you don’t have guest please open room.

Lighting patern are extremely bad, you can only turn on all the light or turn off all the light, you should solve this problem, also light above the closet are bad, too dark
     C. The hallway to the room too long
      D. There are a little bit bad smell on Linen
      E. Wooden floor not fit properly sometimes there are open or lifted up in some area
      F. Still the interior there is a hudge empty corner or spot between the bed and closet
      G. Bedding condition not as perfect as my other Westin experience because i believed they use old bed.

but upon arrival it had a terribly strong smell of bleach in the bathroom.

The conference facility was dated and the carpet in the conference room really needs to be changed, it leaves the place with an old cupboard smell, again the AC doesn’t appear to be working.

The beach should get rid of the Shisha smoking as a health care worker this practice is equal to smoking 100 cigarettes in an hour session!! !

Boats for water activities kept coming directly up to the beach which meant we could smell the fuel for some time afterwards never mind swim in it.

however, the tide is very low and the water goes back and with the seaweeds all around, the odor is not pleasant.

Sometimes the bathroom had a sewer smell as well.

however, the room was very tired and had an strong odour like musty mixed with urine.

My limited gripes are the 

- absence of any reasonable accommodation for those who smoke either any where near the pool areas, outside dining venues eg beachside and 

- the average dinner service at Ikan - all started briskly and obligingly

• Due to wear & tear, there is a persistent stench in the bathroom which bothered us quite a bit despite daily housekeeping service 
• Bali Collection & Coco Supermarket (the mall that is closest to the hotel which provides free shuttle) is a complete waste of time.

Once you go through the ‘smoke and mirrors’ show in the lobby you get poor service.

Massage by the beach also comes highly recommended.

The Spa is just brilliant and perfect for a blissful massage.

I do have to say Indah the Duty Manager were very apologetic and did everything in her power which included an upgrade and a massage at the Spa

The Westin heavenly spa has the best massage I had in Bali!

but there were bikes to use for bike riding, two table tennis tables, a small area for badminton and a luxuriously appointed spa.

A special thank you to Mira in the Spa, Agung on the front desk, Grestchia at the breakfast and everyone serving poolside.

Sopie and Novik at the breakfast restaurant, the front desk, the spa staff, and everyone I interacted with gave me the best experience I could have asked for.

We also managed to make it to the Heavenly Spa for great massage and ginger tea.

Special mention for Indy & Dwi & Spa staff Mira Juni for all the help through out our trip.

Do try there Spa services if you are  looking for authentic Balinese spa treatment.

but not least, we would like to recommend the heavenly spa, it's a must try.

Be it the restos, housekeeping, spa, pool, front office and engineering.

Location was great, you could walk to other nearby hotels, got nice jogging/bike trails, amazing yet affordable spa, I can go on and on.

The F&B Staff notably Ibu Lian, Ibu Yuli and their team at the Saturday Brunch as well as Bu Mayun who was my therapist at the Spa

There are various team members whose names escape me,  of the Bar area who served me wonderful afternoon tea (good variety during the 9 days stay).

The beach, the pool, the massage on the gazebo near the beach, so recommended!

We Met Mr. Agung  he  arrange our drop service to the Spa and make sure that we have  a memorable massage.

First advice to anything going, the evening meals, if you want anything other than Le Patio restaurant then book, we booked five days ahead with the staff help and it was well worth it, especially to secure early slots that worked for us.

My advice is give this place a wide berth.

Certainly a recommendation though, and Bali is just perfect

We are interested to spend night at Melia Hotel because we got recommendation from our friend and also saw positive reviews about the hotel on social media with a lot of interesting activities.

We stayed at the Meliá Bali Nusa Dua on the recommendation of friends.

My advise to management to hire a Indian chef also, it will change definition of veg food as well as it will become heaven for guest like us.

When we got sick he nurtured us with healing drinks and advice , thank you Novo .

We spent our holiday in MELIÁ on a light recommendation, and we are really very satisfied with friendly and warm staff, nice beaches, very nice and beautiful environment, very good foods, silent rooms

She was always present for us, she touched us a lot because she did everything possible to satisfy our every need (reservations, room service, advice).

A friendly, non-pushy guy who was happy to chat and give advice even if you were not hiring/buying.

The resort is also very close and walking distance to Bali Collection which has many cafes (reasonably priced) and private spas (Zahra is our recommendation).

We had booked a level lagoon access room on the advice of reading past reviews for this hotel.

but one of our highlights and recommendations is the Lotus restaurant and we have been there for 3times,and our man Hendra always with us the food was exceptional even more enjoyable, hospitality and friendly,
Clean room,big garden,friendly staff,always smile every time we go.

However what was outstanding was the excellent service we received from our table host Adi Gunawan who did such a great job looking after us and provided food and drink recommendations that were a great help.

I have only positive words and my best recommendations and will definitely come back if the opportunity ever arisen.

My advice; if you want a relaxing no hassle break, visit beach resort areas such as Sanur or Pemuteran.

We booked the Melia on the recommendation of our travel agent and not knowing much about it.

Kids club is the best in Bali, close to pool/beach/bar so you can relax and your kids are not far away.

Beautiful Resort and Beautiful Staff, Would recommend the All inclusive option for a Sybaritic vacation that will find you enjoying a relaxed and indulgent break from the real world in as hedonistic a fashion as your heart desires.

We had booked the level junior suites and had all inclusive which i would recommend.

There’s also an all inclusive option which we didn’t try so keep our options open to explore the area and our kids aren’t big eaters.

We stayed in a Level Junior Suite with the all inclusive package for the duration of our holiday.

Gede especially was very fun and inclusive.

The villas are amazing, worth upgrading to the level for the private beach and all inclusive makes it even better.

We stayed 5 nights on a Luxury Escape Deal all inclusive food and drink staying in a Deluxe Room 
  Nice quiet clean room with decent balcony .The  Resort appeared at least 70% full
  There are plenty of children in the pool area

We had the all inclusive package, which was so hard to choose from all the amazing options.

If you stay here it’s worth considering all inclusive rather than pay the exorbitant prices - or eat out at local eateries which are considerably better value.

My friend and I bought the all inclusive package to celebrate her birthday and we loved this resort!

The all-inclusive package was definitely worth the money and there were many options to choose from.

Make sure your stay includes  all inclusive and take advantage of the complementary trip to Uluwatu temple with Soma and his ukelele.

Melia  brand you with a bracelet on arrival that is supposed to signal all inclusive,

All inclusive: a carefree and excellent choice with, according to our opinion, value for money.

We weren’t all inclusive so just had breakfast included, it was delicious with choices from pastries to curries to Indonesian classics, full English, every type of egg, cereals, fruit (a little tasteless), pancakes even a chocolate fountain!

We stayed for 14 nights on the all inclusive with our children aged 5 and 9.

a stool to put my bag on when in a restaurant, sunglasses being cleaned, real candles in the evening, flowers on the path made the whole holiday superb
The gardens and whole complex was beautiful and a pleasure to walk around.

The gardens at the hotel along with general areas were superb, very clean and welcoming.

The villa had a private pool, large garden area, different chill-out lounges and a very spacious bedroom.

The cleanliness, hospitality, location of the hotel, beach water quality, water activities, privacy, quality of the food and beverage selections, the accessibility  of the facilities, variety of activities including for the kids, the gardens, and other amenities.

The big tropical gardens,  the pools, the squirrels coming up to the 4th floor during the day set a magic scenery.

The entrance, gardens, beach, pool, staff were all outstanding, the food could be improved a little

I had a great time there espacially in the gym with a trai er called  adrian he helped me with my boxing  and he Was very nice the food was great too 5 out of 5 Stars the pool was a Highlight too and the garden was beautifull

We had a fantastic stay and our garden view room was kept perfectly by the team with special mention to Elly who was super helpful during our stay.

The hotel was great with very mature gardens right on the beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in “the level garden villa”.

The positives: it’s situated on a really nice beach and the gardens and common areas are lovely.

The garden is beautiful, and the pool is great for kids with lots of things to do and explore and there are many activities around that area every day for both young and old.

The garden surrounding the hotel is beautiful.

The gardens and grounds are stunning, and there’s been many updates and renovation works in the last few years to the hotel.

We enjoy the lovely view from the rooms, the beautiful gardens including the ducks!, the tasty food and relaxing atmosphere….but most of all it’s the Staff that make this hotel so enjoyable.

Traditional Balinese feel on entry into foyer, lovely staff, beautiful gardens and old school Bali feel hotel.

Pros: beautiful old hotel with amazing gardens, ponds.

The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed the daily activities including the bike tour, yoga, Pilates, water stretching and water aerobics and my teenage boys really enjoyed the pool volleyball, waterpolo and basketball.

The kids club were great with good feedback from all the kids we saw.

It’s great for couple, families, families with kids and just to R&R and rejuvenate.

but you are able to send younger children with a nanny.

The pool areas are superb as is the beach, the entertainment on an evening was good and there always seemed to be something on for children of all ages .

Meliã Bali is a great hotel for families because it includes a kids club and a massive pool that is shared by everyone.

The elements that push the score high are the pool, surrounding cafe, bar and childrens club ( this is excellent, best I have experienced so far in Bali).

Me my wife and my two boys have been overwhelmed by the property and by the fantastic service!

Staff were welcoming and helpful, great kids meals available especially for fussy eaters.

My son was poorly and the hotel had an on site doctor (payable) that we appreciated.

Myself and 2 daughters had a lagoon access room which was great for the girls!

Great job boys, we really appreciated the service you gave us and always with a smile.

We hired Dani to babysit her in the kids club (children under 4 need a seperate babysitter) and my daughter adored her so much she kept wanting to go back!

Cendana, Syaqui and Yudi from the El patio restaurant are amazing people that deserve huge credit for making my daughters birthday amazing with help organising a cake and surprises.

Coffee shop was great, April went out of her way to make us feel welcome, beautiful girl.

The hotel provide free bikes to use for us to cycle along the beautiful Nusa Dua beach.

It is located on the shore line and one can take walks on the beautiful Nusa Dua beach.

Great hotel on Nusa Dua beach Bali, cool location, tasty food, friendly staff, relaxing, soft and comfortable beach sofas, clean territory and cold drinks make your day wonderful.

Hotel is amazing, right next to Nusa Dua Beach with plenty of activities for kids and adults alike.

In front of the nusa dua beach, excellent beach to relax.

The set up at Nusa Dua beach hotel was better.

The Melia is situated along the shore line with other 5 star hotels, these are the Laguna Resort, Westin Resort, Nusa Dua Beach resort, Sofitel Beach Resort and Club Med Bali, all these hotels are linked by an ocean facing walkway, which made for lovely walks in the evening or the morning.

There are no bread selections like the others hotels, rye, sourdough, baguette, etc.. it’s just plain sliced bread which is pretty poor and a few rolls.

Furthermore poor service at the pool ( my order never arrived) and at breakfast ( table was not cleaned, no coffee served) chaotic and not organised!

Coffee v poor (yet good at the coffee shop… at extra cost).

Great staff great service- poor poor food  at nearly $600 a day all inclusive at the level aud  disgusting food standard!

The service was really poor, could wait up to an hour for a can coke or sprite, food could take over hour, so make sure you are not hungry when you order.

Guest relations manager very unsympathetic,  only offered a foot massage and a day at the 'exclusive' pool with a poor drinks service.

Apart from that, everything else were quite standard, to poor at some degrees.

however had poor water pressure which made the monsoon shower head practically unusable, so we would use the handheld shower head that was inconveniently located at chest height.

From their it went downhill and it was hard to recover from the poor service we experienced.

but was let down by poor choice and poor service in the restaurants and on the beach front deck area.

Apart from the Breakfast buffet, all other foods and drinks were over priced and very poor quality and extremely small serves.

We also consider the options we had in coctails very poor for a 5* hotel

At breakfast and prior to my initial review the service was poor.

I would have to say the rooms were very poor when compared to other 5 star hotels in the same price bracket.

The food and drink was really overpriced and poor quality.

My boy would have attacked the poor monkeys.. hahah

7 - Location - You can`t go wrong.

The bathroom in particular was disappointing mainly due to a poor shower.

My only negative was the spa, very poor quality of treatments, room was too bright, no blinds or candles which is the niceness of doing hotel spas and freezing!

the prices for lunch or dinner are  expensive compared to other restaurants.
