We felt very special here even moreso than several other luxury 5 star resorts in bali.

I have to work in pm time, the internet was superb and the experience was beyond my expectation, feel like home with Bali traditional feel, beautiful area, huge, villas and scenery, the staffs are friendly and very attentive.

The food here was the best food we had in Bali.

Back in 2007 the hotel was managed by GHM and called the Chedi Club at Tanah Gajah; the service and experience were great, largely owing to the unique and beautiful property.

Enjoyed the daily afternoon tea that was included as part of the club package.

During my 24 hour stay at the "One Bedroom Club Pool Villa", I took advantage of every single club benefit (viewable on their website) which was absolutely mind blowing.

I heard about  this resort   formerly know as Chedi club.

We (my husband & I) stayed for 2 nights at One Bedroom Club Suite recently and it’s indeed a memorable and happy experience.

Another good news is they will refilling them up for free and will fill up your mini bar once a day as part of their club benefits!

As we set out to find a place to stay in Ubud for 4 nights for the nine of us (2 families + our Mom) to welcome the New Year, we came across The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah.

but the Chedi Club has to rank among the best.

Staying at The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah is just like return to your big family home and reunion.

All of the staff are lovely and amazing, nothing is too much trouble, we felt we only had to pop out to the pool and while we were gone someone had come in and filled the fruit bowl again!

I enjoyed my beautiful villa, private pool looking at the rice patty.

There is an outdoor pool with sun loungers and parasols.

I would also not recommend it for family's with young children as the pools are deep & unsupervised & childrens facilities are sparce.

They put in private plunge pools in the Family Villas, which provide lots of space.

The villas are to a very high standard and ours had a pool which was lovely.

From a architectural setting a beautiful and large resort in a wonderful garden with Balinese sculptures, fountains and two pools in a picturesque environment of rice fields.

The food was also very good and the pool villa was comfortable, spacious and clean.

Our family of 4 stayed in the beautiful two bedroom Hadiprana Estate, with a private pool and three outdoor showers!

The villa was amazing and my kids loved their single beds and the swimming pool.

Beyond our Villa were acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, pools, fountains and outdoor and indoor art at every turn.

The resort itself was very tranquil and quiet as they only have a few villas on site which meant that we would often get the huge pool to ourselves and we were able to book in reservations for the times we wanted as well.

We stayed in a pool villa, and having a private pool walled off from the outside world is a rare luxury in itself, which we enjoyed morning and evening every day (although having folk peer down from a noisy hot-air balloon at 7am on us, at the time less than conventionally attired, was unpleasant).

Some of the best bits are the room - ours with private pool, the pool area (very quiet so we spent most of our time here), the restaurant and the staff.

The pool was nice and quiet most of the time as many villas had their own pool.

Its very quiet and peaceful,  I suggest it’s not geared up or suitable for children and was surprised there were two here.

The resort is close to the city center with shopping and restaurants.

The restaurant was expanded with a deck overlooking the rice fields.

You can order food at any time to anywhere on the resort and we often went off menu which was never a problem.

The food was delicious as were the cocktails.

Even venturing out into Ubud for dinner and using the WhatsApp to get a car back to the hotel was effortless.

The suite was  impeccable, the bed super comfortable and all the food superb.

Especially impressed by the staff, who responded instantly to any request for dinner reservations, transfers, room service, a cardboard box!

The food is still great, the views over the ricefields fabulous and I am sure that, with a serious money injection, the Tanah Gajah will be one of the best resorts in the Ubud area once again.

Novotel Benoa took a Bali traditional approach design with many garden spots giving closeness to nature feeling.

Waterbom Park is about 30 mins away in a Taxi.

Also kuta if you want to go shopping and there's a great waterpark there called waterbom.

When we arrived at hotel after a busy and fun day at the waterbom park, we were greated at hotel reception by staff and directed to desk for check in.

The noise of the air conditioner fan is very loud.

but the air conditioner kept leaking water onto the floor and only got fixed after the third complaint.

Bed was incredibly uncomfortable and fan & AC very noisy ( worn out )

Overall I can not recommend this Hotel or Location to future guests.

anyway they finally moved us later in the day to a ground level room far from the pool ,with initially a horrible paint fume smell .then for the next 3 days had to put up with a noisy clunky air conditioner that they wouldn't fix .the bed felt like concrete was very hard waking up sore every day  .Overall very bad experience ,would never recommend However the food was ok

We did learn while I was there that a storm power failure knocks out the unit

Deluxe poolside room was dated,rundown, bathroom fittings disgusting,fridge dirty and a/c not working on arrival.

The ceiling fans in both rooms we stayed in were covered with dirt and dust and needed a good clean.

A little disappointed with hotel because we had an air conditioner issue (was leaking water all over the floor) called reception to come and fix and no one ever showed up.

Our room aircon made broke down one night only to be informed by the maintenance guy that the aircon was unserviced and dirty, can only be serviced next day morning.

however the fan was almost falling off the roof when turned on so couldn’t be used.

Our first room was average, fan made squeaking noise all night, air con didn’t work properly, shower had a broken handle and there was limited hot water.

Had trouble with aircon.. customer service at reception could have been better.

First night no beds set up for kids, then bathroom door knob comes out, air conditioner not working, then today cricket World Cup is on

The bed was a bit firm and could be improved with a mattress topper as provided by many hotels and I agree that the ceiling fans need to be replaced with silent, newer style fans (although we just used the air-conditioning instead). This is a quieter area of Bali with enough restaurants within walking distance or quick taxi at night or 10 minutes drive from Nusa Dua ( or we ate from the bar menu)

Air Con is miserable with no adjustment of temperature available.

We had one more issue with a lizard in our room - housekeeping arrived at our room to say he couldn't find it and that it had probably went up to the air conditioning and to call him if we seen it again.

We had issues with our air conditioner , we were unable to change the temperature or fan speed on the wall panel so we called for maintenance.

but the aircon was next to useless and pretty noisy.

Bu Maya prepared our favorite room (#822; Oceanfront Beach Cabana), the same exact room we stayed during Christmas 2020.

After completed check-in procedures, we were immediately escorted to our ocean view beach cabana room (room # 822).

Our room, this time a beachside cabana, was excellent including cleaning and turndown service, the pools and gardens always lovely, CoCo's ambience and food so nice and reclaiming the beach that had previously been eroded has now been concluded to a most attractive standard.

From small rooms with just a shower and a garden view or pool view, to larger rooms also with views, single beds to king beds, to family rooms to terrace rooms with a patio and an outdoor shower in addition to indoor shower and tub, to villas with their own pools to beach front cabanas.

We stayed in a Beach Cabana with outdoor bathtub.

All the food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing and strong at the restaurants😁 our room was beautiful Balinese style staying in the beach cabana.

though other beach cabana rooms on the other side of the pool had perfect sea views.

In saying this we did really love the cabana.

This time we booked a Beach Cabana which we have stayed in on a number of occasions a couple of years ago.

My husband I and stayed at the Novotel in Benoa for 6 nights in one of their excellent Beach Cabana Rooms.

The beach cabana is very near to the pool and the beach.

We had booked a beach cabana which was really nice.

We first stayed here as a couple in a beach cabana and have been delighted to return more than 10 years later with our son.

but I highly recommended to always book the rooms in the beach wing or the beach cabanas if you can get them, as they always seem to run out everytime I stayed there.

We stayed four nights in a Beach Cabana room and three nights in a Tropical Terrace room.

We stayed in a Beach Cabana at this fantastic resort between the 17th January and 24th January, 2018.

The hotel gardens are beautiful and again very well looked after.

The Novotel Benoa is a traditionally Balinese architectural resort that has been maintained and developed with beautiful gardens that are comforting to stroll through.

Our room had good views over the pool and garden.

Initially worried about staying across the road on the garden side, in the end no issues at all and thankful for the huge room that fitted our family of 5 and the PlayStation.

The property retains a Balinesian feel with thatched roofs and the gardens are spectacular.

Staff are friendly and gardens well kept.

We arrived late in the evening for check in.Our room  was on the garden side.

Walk 9j shower, maid services everyday, room service (not included as part of A/I) and a nice garden area and patio.

I have been upgraded from a garden room to a Bungalow.

The beach section is, as one would expect, near the beach while those in the garden section have their own pool

Our own private garden with a wonderful split blue wooden gate, the room was plenty big enough

They have a lot of entertaining facilities and the gardens around the hotel look like heaven. The food is very tasty:) this hotel has all the ingridients for a great vacation:)
